Though her fair skin appears mostly polished and unblemished, an assortment of scars can be found on her curvy body. A few of which, very light and hardly noticeable, can be found on her legs and arms due to her father's training. One in particular, which follows the trail of her spine, is just shy of being pinker than the rest of her flesh. Not like she would ever answer about it.

Avery's long hair is a coppery red tone, glimmering beneath the sun's warm rays. Typically, she wears it out and loose, allowing its natural waves and such to be seen. However, whenever she is being active and training (or exploring), she will gather a few strands and braid them along the sides of her head to keep them from her face while the rest tumbles down her back. Only on rare occasions is her hair ever up.

|{Quirks || Habits || Oddities}|
▪Is a grammar Nazi of sorts and is almost always correcting someone. ▪Almost always giving philosophical or just her favorite quotes given particular circumstances. ▪Twirls her hair when bored. ▪Mastered this sort of smile that keeps her dimples from being fully pronounced. Does it when she is irritated, but not trying to show it. ▪Licks her lower lip a lot. ▪Always needs to have at least one knife on her person at all times. ▪Bites her inner cheek when angry or nervous. ▪Is a bit of a neat freak.

{Strengths}
⚘Avery has an eidetic memory, meaning that she recalls images, sounds, and objects at a high precision. Her brain is always taking in more and more information, partly because she cannot control it, and, partly because it's a sort of coping mechanism. Being able to recall all of these things means knowing her escape routes. ⚘Avery is highly intelligent, oftentimes being known as one of the few braniacs of District 2. Strategizing and planning different routes is one of her contributions in the games; she did a lot of plotting during her training sessions. She is well-read. ⚘Because Avery could never stay home for long, parkour is one of her favorite pastimes. She is very acrobatic and it helps when she's trying to hide; she can't even count the amount of times she has hid in trees or scaled buildings to get away from people. ⚘Throwing Knives is one of her best skills only because she resisted training originally and her father wanted her to do something harder. Avery has exceptional aim and has almost never missed. And if that fails, her hand-to-hand combat is something to fall back on. ⚘Putting on airs or acting is something Avery's done her whole life. If she has to play it sweet to get people to like her, she can do it. If she has to be a little flirty, then so be it. She's done enough acting for a lifetime.

{Weaknesses}
⚘Because she recalls things so easily and so clearly, Avery also cannot forget things. Sometimes, it can become too much, which is why she seems to withdraw on herself. ⚘Cannot cook to save her life. ⚘Comes off as snobby or a bit of a know-it-all partly because she's smart and also because of which district she is from ⚘Seems to not have any shame, particularly when it comes to lewd commentary or taking off her clothes ⚘Although she is pretty good at it, close combat is not her best. ⚘Being near any of the richer and young men of the Capitol

{Hobbies}
⋆Reading, especially old literature ⋆Parkour and running ⋆Daydreaming ⋆Being a 'Capitol Girl'

{Fears}
ø{Ataxophobia} Fear of untidiness ø{Batrachophobia} Fear of amphibians (ie. frogs) ø{Claustrophobia} Fear of being in an enclosed and dark space ø{Merinthophobia} Fear of being tied up or bound down øBeing nothing more than a 'Capitol Girl'

{Secrets}
✤ Avery was not supposed to be one of the tribunes. This was her punishment for refusing one of her 'usuals.' There are other, far more trained District 2 teens, but she was chosen. She knew this a week in advance. ✤Despite the pampering and favor District 2 is known for, all of it has come at a price, and it is typically the young women who pay it. From around fourteen up until their young adult years, some of the richer inhabitants and even a few gamemakers choose certain girls that they want and these girls are used in whatever way, mostly sexual. Avery's family, one of the wealthier because of her father being a Peace Keeper, is one of the most favored because of this. ✤Avery's actual father and her now deceased grandfather were gamekeepers. Her biological father does not acknowledge her often and her 'adopted' one despises her. ✤She wants to die.

{Personality}
Many people make the mistake of judging Avery based upon the curvy and slim figure. Beneath the hourglass physique and porcelain skin is an old and intelligent soul who is far more willful and determined than she seems. Instead of spending every second of her childhood training for the Games or to earn one of the careers her district is known for accommodating, Avery loved knowledge. For her, true knowledge was having power and so she spent countless hours reading and learning about everything that she could. Despite how much she hates the 'favor' of the Capitol, this is one of the few luxuries she actually likes. Being able to get an education. And because of this innate need to obtain as much information as humanly possible, Avery is typically seen as a know-it-all type or one who looks down on others. Which is definitely not the case, but she would never correct you. Not unless you come at her wrong. So, she'll be sharp-tongued and witty, always with a knowing smirk because she does, in fact, know that she is annoying you or has some sort of power over you.

As a means of coping with the way her life turned out, Avery simply learned to act. Some might call it code-switching or some other professional term. Avery would call it simply being cunning and deceptive, both which are accurate. She is not too against using her 'womanly' attributes to get what she wants. Hell, men in the Capitol have used it, why can't she? So, she flirts, bats her pretty lashes, blushes when appropriate, and will be as sweet and demure as anyone who is considering granting her favor would want her to be. Her countenance and behavior depends on the situation. If her father needed her to be flirty for anyone who came to their district, that was the expectation. If she needs to be filled with bloodlust or ready to fight, then so be it. After all, none of these are truly who she is. They are just little snippets of characters someone else has always wanted her to play. Besides, being herself means being weak and vulnerable. And she has not allowed herself to be such since the first time she was raped.

However, beneath all of that is a girl who is lost in her dreams, which is surprising for someone who is all about the facts. The truth is that despite how much Avery knowledge has acquired, her optimism has decreased over the years and well, her idealist side is far more interesting than the real world. The real world is brutal where her body is someone else's battleground and there are wars fought within her very core. Everyone's out to get someone, everyone in her district is ready for a fight, and she can never hope for anything better. This is the life transcribed for her. In her fantasy - in her mind - her life is her own. Her body belongs solely to her, she is free to love, and life doesn't feel like one giant wrecking ball. If only she could stay in that world...

{History}
Melody Beauchamp was just a regular woman working in weaponry. She worked the register and gave advice on different weapons, oftentimes being the usual worker that military officials would come to before they even decided to come to some of the males. More than that, she was married, kinda in love, and was actually happy. She had never needed to compete in the Games and was forever grateful. She should have been content with every aspect of her life. Except one. While District 2 was highly favored and could afford luxuries that a good number of the other districts could not, the price they paid was too high for any of their brother and sisters to comprehend. What they could never afford in money they paid in the innocence and continued rape of some of their 'chosen' young women. That was how Avery was born.

Avery's biological father, a young man skilled in developing some of the latest technology, picked Melody despite knowing that she was in fact married. He was never cruel, but he never acknowledged the wrongness of it either. But Melody couldn't complain much. She was given extra money as compensation and her husband was civil, for the most part. But that changed when Avery was born. It didn't take long for Caesar to notice that this child was not, in fact, his. The dates didn't add up and those eyes - they didn't look like neither Melody's or Caesar's. And he was mad and made sure Avery knew it for the rest of her life. Avery's fondest childhood memories had never included him; they were always with her mother, who would sit down and read or recount stories that her parents once told her. For the next few years after that, Avery would hold on to those memories. They would be her clutch when things weren't this tranquil.

And they hardly were. District 2 kids were trained from a young age to be winners of the Games. They had too many past victors and there was no way a new generation would consist of losers. Caesar was extra hard on Avery. While she wanted to read and learn about everything, the only thing he wanted her to learn was how to not get knocked on her back. And he pushed and pushed until Avery could nothing but be his little robot long enough to start running away. Those were the best days - where she could apply those skill sets that he was adamant about her knowing to escaping and just being away from it all. It is these moments when she stares at the sky with a book by her side and her mind trying so hard to forget...forgetting how rough the first man was and how she cried after each hard snap of his hips against hers, the way Caesar would look her every time she came home and would snatch the money out of her hands without a word, how her mother didn't meet her gaze during those times even though Melody was the one she needed comfort from the most, or even the sharp pain that bit into her flesh as a blade was slid through her supple flesh...

Avery doesn't want to be in the games. She'd rather die first. But she's also not going down easily, not when she knows so many people are coming for District 2. Besides, this is the Capitol wants, right? A show? Well, she's used to putting those on. At least she gets to keep her clothes on.

Stale sweat and cinnamon
I guess she is frightened most of all
Loves to fly but she's scared to fall

She's got scars on the outside
Says they're the worst kind
And I don't ask
She turns the lights out and locks the door

If this is fate count me out
And never try
Please never try to hold her down

Broken home
Broken bones
She never told anyone but me
And everything seemed make believe

We both ran
You can't ever catch horizon
Guess that's why we've both been riding so damn long
She says she thinks of me as home

If this is fate count me out
And never try
Please never try to hold her down

Hands on hips and lips to lips
I don't know how much someone could take from her

Fourth of July
Watch the night sky
I'm wondering why the truth ain't so easy this time
