The Reaping Day, District 3 2:00PM

Akane opened his eyes and saw it was bright outside it must be morning already. He stood up and put on his undershorts and continued dressing himself. he was wearing his signature pink and black polka-dotted shirt. Akane looked at the clock and gasped "GAH! Its already 1:37, The Reaping starts at 2:00!" He opened the door and made he was swiftly down to the Square of District 3.

He was short for his age so therefore always was at the back of whatever age group he was in. The guards pushed him into the line for fifteen-year-olds. "Hey sir! I'm not fifteen, I'm eighteen. We go through this every year!" The guy nodded and Akane walked up into the line for eighteen-year-olds. He paid no mind to whatever was going on onstage. he heard Effie Trinket say her signature "Happy Hunger Games, and may the odds be ever in your favor!" and he heard the Anthem play.

Akane didn't hear the name of the girl who was called but he figured that it didn't matter. Suddenly his mouth widened and he had the last thought what are the odds my name will be called on my last year? and i didn't even take out any tessrae. before his name was called. the person on the stage said it loud. Akane Bunko. He was pushed out of line and told to walk onstage.

Akane shivered inside his sneakers with every step he took he wanted to run away more and more. once he was onstage the podium person congratulated him. He stood next to the girl who had also gotten picked, and glanced at her as the Mayor read the Treaty of Treason. ((i think it was?)) The Anthem played again and then he was grabbed, turned, and taken off stage. He shivered even more but promised he wouldn't cry, or else his make-up might run.
