Ever since the incident, Hope is understandably disturbed. And as a result she never trusts a single person she meets. She tends to assume everyone is out to harm her in a similar way to the researchers.
On occasion, she begins to relate to animals, and nature, as these are things she never came into contact with in the lab, and so has no negative connotations to make with them.
She has the potential to be a normal girl, as she seems to understand the concept of human emotions, such as love and hate, but cannot yet feel them.
History:
At the age of only 3, she was diagnosed with sickle cell anemia, extremely rare in young white children like her.
Her mother, already living on the breadline, could not afford to keep her. When approached by "the professor" - Hope's mother sold her 3 year old daughter for the tiny sum of $10,000.
The professor took Hope to a holding facility in the middle of nowhere, Where he began to administer his experiment drug.
Our story begins nearly 15 years later, shortly before Hope's 18th birthday.
