Character Traits

ImageLikes: Winter, people, wooden stakes, most supernatural creatures, blues and dark folk music
Dislikes: Vampires, nighttime, death, things that get in his way

Fears: His vampire father, vampires gaining rule over the human race
Special Skill: Because he is half vampire, he can attain powers all vampires can from drinking certain types of blood. However, while vampires have all vampire powers all the time and infusing human blood makes some of those powers exponentially stronger, Aidan, a dhampir, must infuse human blood to get those powers at all. Without blood, he is at peak physical condition (he is no match for supernaturals, but regular humans are much less strong than he is) and with blood he obtains all vampire powers at their regular level and more power in the areas pertaining to his specialized list of vampire infusions:

Type O: Able to hypnotize people to a very small degree. The hypnosis doesn’t last very long.
Type A: Senses are even more acute and have a broader range
Type B: Damage resistance is enhanced to a higher degree
Type AB: Small layer of fire can be added to hands for brief moments of time

Personality: Aidan, as a hunter, is passionate about what he does. He strives to rid the world of the threat, whatever it may be, and doesn’t stray from his path. He hunts with a fire in his eyes ignited by the hatred he has for his vampire father. He is hot-headed, stubborn, and very impulsive. However, though he doesn’t always do the “right” thing, whatever he does he does full-heartedly and tries his best to make good choices.

History

Image
Early Life: When Aidan’s mother, Iona, became an adult, she met a vampire who seduced her and impregnated her. The vampire father stayed with Iona only to make sure the baby came out functioning and strong. Though the father’s motives are unclear, Iona would tell her son that he was made because his father wanted someone to carry on his bloodline and spread it into the human race. And because the father wanted to make sure he left a good heir, he stayed with the boy until the boy came of age. During that time, he rarely was at home, beat Iona and Aidan when he was at home, and continued seeing other women in order to create or dhampirs that would, as well as Aidan, help further his bloodline into our population. However, when Aidan turned 13, his mother decided to run away with him and leave the vampire hunter behind.

For a while (approximately two years), Iona and Aidan moved traveled through Europe trying to find a safe place to settle down. An Australian vampire hunter, who was also a long-time friend of Iona, lived in Australia and offered to house the mother and her son and keep them under his protection. However, when Iona and Aidan arrived at the hunter’s house, they found him dead and the vampire father standing over his body. The beast killed Aidan’s mother in front of Aidan’s own eyes and only spared the boy because he didn’t want to weaken his own bloodline. He took Aidan hostage for the next 7 years of his life and trained him in Australia to be a cold-blooded fighter.

Modern Day: At the age of 22, Aidan fled from his father’s estate and traveled to New Zealand on a storage ferry heading to the island. He’s been there for two years, hiding with the help of a witch’s spell, and in that time that has passed had dramatically modified his fighting style, his demeanor, and his way of thinking. In the solitude of the secluded island, he’s made an effort to forget the traumatizing events that happened in his past and counteract the cold, stern personality his father impressed on him and adopt a more passionate and feelings-oriented way of life. But with the technique 7 years of training has helped him develop and a burning desire to kill the species associated to the monster his father was, Aidan has been able make a decent living taking care of the vampire infestation that has plagued more isolated parts of the island.

Vice slammed her cup down, a bit of the whiskey in it sloshing out, a few drops splashing onto her black leather gloves. "Bein' the only woman here, I still have more balls than the two of you!" Vice spit, speaking to two of the other Hunters, Lalan and Aidan. Vice was fairly drunk and her temper was getting the better of her. "I could drink either of you under the table and still be a better shot than you losers." She slammed back the rest os her whiskey, wiping her mouth with the back of her forearm.

Vice didn't particularly enjoy the other Hunters, as she preferred to be alone, but being a Demidemon, she had to keep up certain appearances around them. She couldn't seem weak in any aspect and didn't relish the idea of what they'd do if they ever did find out. She stood up from her stool and slammed her left heeled boot down onto it, leaning her elbow on her knee. "If anything, I'd say I'm the man around here, while you little girls run around with your weapons, shooting at any Supernatural you see, content with just hunting, whether you've hit them or not." She narrowed her eyes at them, completely inebriated at this point, but still holding her ground.

Aidan watched as Vice sat at the table and talked aimlessly as she consumed cup after cup of whiskey. Aidan tried to keep back the amusement on his face in order not to rattle her even more, but his eyes had already softened and a subtle smile was forming around his lips. He seemed to be having fun listening to Vice as she spit out insults towards her comrades. But he seemed to be having more fun watching Vice get utterly wasted.

Vice had been drinking for practically the whole night and she was still planning on downing another cup. Her words weren't slurred, her movement still followed a normal pattern, but Aidan could see she was hanging onto that appearance only by a thread. After she let out some choice words about the lack of combat skills in the other two hunters, she stood up from her stool and eyed the boys intensely. Aidan could see she was totally hammered at this point, but was too amused to try to do something about it. Aidan looked towards Lalan, let out a little laugh, and poked him in the arm to try to get a reaction. However, when Vice went for another swig of her whiskey, Aidan decided it was probably time to step in.

“Okay, okay. That’s enough. Boy, you sure do get cranky when you’re drunk,” Aidan said, taking the cup from her hands and setting it back down on the table. He was lying. Vice didn’t need to be drunk to be angry, but he decided now wasn’t really the greatest time to point his observation out. Instead, he chuckled a bit, set the cup aside, and moved backwards in case he needed to prepare to get swung at by the significantly-less-than-sober huntress. As he backed away from Vice and towards Lalan, he gave his male hunter buddy a little elbow nudge, trying to gauge what he thought of the situation. But since there was a brief silence amongst the two, Aidan decided to shoot something out really quick, "We should probably stop her after her third cup," he said while failing to stifle a laugh, "I don't know why we keep letting her drink this much."

On the job, Aidan was stern, determined, and precise. But in his current setting, he was at ease, loose, and easygoing. He didn't feel the need to sharpen his stakes, look around for vampires to kill, plan out his next nest invasion, nor any of the other various tasks he was constantly thinking about whenever his brain wasn't focusing on just having fun. Instead, he just smiled as he laughed with his hunter buddies, watched Vice trying to hold her whiskey down, and made snarky comments in hopes to get a rise out of Lalan.

Vice grasped at the cup that Aidan so rudely snatched away from her. "Boy, you sure get cranky when you're drunk," he said as he took it. "I don't know why we keep letting her drink this much." The comment wasn't directed at her but at Lalan. She whipped out a pocket dagger, stabbing the arm of Aidan's coat down into the table, the cup of whiskey in his hand falling. "Excuse me?" she hissed, her voice like a poisonous viper ready to strike. Then Lalan spoke. "For one of two reasons." He shifted in his chair. "One, because it's better than cable and two, because there is a good chance that if we attempted to stop her, it'd most likely result in the loss of a very important member." Her eyes darted between the two, knowing Lalan probably secretly knew her ways better than anyone.

Then Lalan went on about some mental image he had of her, causing her to roll her eyes in disgust. "But I see what you're doing, trying to get a rise out of me, but honestly, for you, it doesn't take much." Lalan said with a wink. She scrunched her nose at him. She pulled the knife out of Aidan's jacket arm and turned to Lalan, pointing at him with the dagger, eyes narrowed. "Don't you talk to me like that. Know your place, Champagne." The nickname rolled off her tongue as usual. She didn't care for champagne as a drink and considering Lalan's albino-like features, it fit perfectly. She smirked and sat back down, holding her hand up and calling for another drink. The waiter stepped over, placing a cup of whiskey in her hand. "Drink up, girls!" she shouted, downing the cup, almost falling over as she did so.

Aidan watched Vice and Lalan giddily. A large smiled brightened up his face and his eyes lit up in delight.

"Don't you talk to me like that. Know your place, Champagne." Vice said.

"Champagne, eh?" Aidan said laughing, putting his hand on Lalan's shoulder as he poked fun at his nickname.

As Vice sat down and called for another drink, Aidan decided he might as well get one too. It wasn't fun being sober at a bar, especially when the person sitting across the table is drunker than she'll care to remember. As he ordered a drink and sat down at the table where Vice and Lalan were sitting, he gestured towards the area where Vice had just stabbed his jacket, "You know Vice," he said with a feigned sternness in his face, "you're gonna owe me for getting this re-stitched." He knew by the time he had a few drinks in him he'd probably forget about it anyway, but he thought it'd be funny to try and tease his female teammate, as long as it didn't get him a knife thrown into his eye socket.

"I would drink, but tell me, Oh inebriated leader, don't we have a mission to get to? Believe me, I'm all for slacking off but we could at least pretend that we are doing some work," Lalan said and Vice shot him a venomous glare. "We have a mission in the morning. So by all means, drink up, Champagne," she said, sarcastically smiling at him and raising her glass as if to say 'Cheers' before she downed it.

The Next Morning

Vice realized she'd fallen asleep and was now at Aidan's place. Did he bring me here?! What the hell did he do to me?! she thought angrily, sitting up quickly, giving herself a terrible headache. She put her hand to her head, squeezing her eyes shut. Gods, how much did I drink last night? She looked around. Is Lalan seriously here too? she thought to herself, looking at the sleeping albino on the floor. Christ.... She swung herself around, her feet landing on the floor loudly. She rubbed the sleep from her eyes and looked back at Lalan. "I hope my stomping woke you up, Champagne." She pushed off the couch and made her way around Aidan's house, attempting to find the kitchen. She came across Aidan's room, his bedroom door wide open. He was sprawled out on the bed, wearing only underwear. She scrunched her nose, grabbed the door handle, and slammed the door shut. She put her hand to her head again. Ugh, my head..

She continued around the house until she finally happened upon the kitchen. She rummaged through a few cupboards before finally finding a cup. She took it and filled it with water from the tap, drinking it quickly. That's a bit better.... I wonder if Aidan has a coffee maker? She looked around the kitchen, searching with her eyes but couldn't seem to find one. Just then, she heard noises coming from around the house. "Must've woken them up." She paused, a smirk forming on her lips. "How rude of me." Her smile didn't fade as she continued to drink more water, trying to rid of the headache her hangover was giving her.

Aidan groaned. In his dream he had been killing hordes and hordes of vampires until a sudden slamming of his bedroom door woke him up. ”God I hope I brought home a lady last night,” Aidan muttered to himself, throwing on some pants as he thought about who could have possibly come in and slammed his door, ” I am in no mood to be fighting a burglar in this hangover.”

As Aidan exited his room, he brought his hand to his forehead, close his eyes, and muttered the words, ”Oh my God,” for sprawled out against his living room floor was his passed out fellow hunter, Lalan. “Please let me not have done something crazy or sexual with you, Lalan,” Aidan said as he made his way over to his unconscious comrade.

In an effort to wake Lalan up and find out what the heck happened the night before, Aidan walked over to his fellow hunter and began nudging him with his foot. But just as Aidan was beginning to wake up the sleeping hunter, he saw a familiar pair of brown boots laid out haphazardly near the base of his couch: as if someone sleeping on it just kicked them off their feet before they went to bed. In the moment that Aidan realized whom those boots most probably belonged to, he, again, brought his hand to his face, closed his eyes tightly, but this time muttered the words, “Oh shit.” This reaction was because of the fact that now, both his hunting peer and his superior had passed out in his house, and the latter hunter was nowhere in sight.

Lalan awoke to the sound of stomping coming from his right.

He blinked a few times, to see Vice crawling off the couch. She was still dressed and he looked down at him to find he was still dressed himself.

"Damn." He thought. The woman was floored last night, he wouldn't suprised if she did decide finally to take him to bed.

He was grateful that she didn't. That would be something he wanted her to remember.

He was a flirt, but even he had his limits to how far he went.

His head swam as Aiden nudged his foot. "Stop..." He groaned. Lalan couldn't get drunk, his body was resistant to alcohol but human flesh...that was a rush and he was feeling the effects not only that....he wasn't hungry.

The night's events flashed before his eyes as Aiden gasped out his exact thoughts.

"Oh shit."

Vice and Aiden was completely floored last night, Vice falling unconscious at the table. Lalan and Aiden had both dragged her to the car, Lalan taking the wheel being the only sober member of the group, Aiden stumbled into his bedroom while Lalan carried Vice and laid her on the couch.

Then it happened. Lalan grew hungry, so much so his stomach felt as if it was destroying itself.

Gathered himself up enough to find a payphone, call the waitress from the bar and....

"Fucking idiot." He thought to himself. He looked down to see if any blood stains had got onto his pale attire. Thankfuly, none did, Most likely, he slept with her before devouring her body.

He hated that, he hated it so much, he wish he were a vampire, so that all he needed was blood, but no, he needed the entire body, bones and all. His teeth were as tough as bone saws, his stomach could ingest and digest human flesh.

He needed the entire body to survive, it was disgusting, but it was necessary.

Lalan got to his feet.

"Yes...Unfortunately she wasn't drunk enough to want to sleep with me...you on the other hand..." He snickered. Aiden was always trying to get Lalan worked up, it always ended in failure but not so much for Lalan...his timing was always right.

He walked into the Kitchen. "Vice, my dear, I didn't mean to dehydrate you, but last night, I couldn't control the amount of liquid your body released." He said with a grin as he watched her down a glass of water. He was fully prepared to dodge that glass that would inevitably be thrown at his head for that statement but it was too easy. He couldn't resist.

Yes…Unfortuantely she wasn’t drunk enough to want to sleep with me…you on the other hand…” Lalan said, with a snicker, to Aidan. However, Aidan was too hungover to catch his comrade’s subtle jest, and so as Lalan went into the kitchen, Aidan stood in complete shock hoping to the Heavens that the other hunter wasn’t being serious.

As the dumbfounded hunter stood like an idiot in the living room, some conversation and interaction transpired in the kitchen. But after a few minutes of Aidan standing, speechless, in the living room, he snapped out of his stupor and finally fully digested what action had just occurred: Lalan walked into the kitchen.

Now, normally, people don’t mind other people walking into their kitchens because, aside from some dirty dishes in the sink or maybe some leftover smudges on their countertops, there isn’t much that they don’t want their guests to see. But in Aidan’s case, there were vials and vials of hospital blood sitting in the door of his fridge, and the second someone opened it, they would see it.

Busting into the kitchen came a very energetic Aidan, whose enthusiasm came not from actual enthusiasm but for a need to hide his pressing fear. Of course, finding out Vice was in there too was no help, but the hungover male hunter was still able to get out some frantic and poorly connected words, ”Heeeyy, guys. What’s up?” seeing Vice, Aidan decided to give her a nod, ”Vice. Hopefully drinking tap water. Good. Lalan just recently walked in here. Cool. Okay! Nice! Everyone’s set! So what about we move this little party into the living room, or perhaps, maybe, out of my apartment altogether!” Aidan said with half of it him just thinking out loud, the other half of it being barely thought out. But no matter where the group decided to transfer to, there were two objectives Aidan had on his mind: 1) Not letting any of them look into the fridge and 2) Finding out what in the world happened last night after he had his third glass of alcohol and then blacked out.

Lalan walked into the kitchen and spoke, staring directly at Vice. "Vice, my dear, I didn't mean to dehydrate you, but last night, I couldn't control the amount of liquid your body released." Her eyes narrowed and she set down her glass. She stepped over to Lalan and pushed him against the wall. She brought her lips close to his, baring her teeth in a sexy manner. "You wish," she muttered through her teeth before smacking Lalan upside the head as a warning shot. She turned away and returned to her former state, drinking the cool tap water, when Aidan came crashing into the kitchen.

”Heeeyy, guys. What’s up? Vice. Hopefully drinking tap water. Good. Lalan just recently walked in here. Cool. Okay! Nice! Everyone’s set! So what about we move this little party into the living room, or perhaps, maybe, out of my apartment altogether!” Vice narrowed her eyes at him, confused and curious all at the same time. "What's got you so jumpy, princess?" She paused for a moment. "You probably don't want to go outside shirtless. Thank you for putting pants on, at least, but it is winter and we all know princesses will whine if their cold." She motioned at him as if to shoo him. "Go get a shirt and jacket and we'll leave." She looked down at her water. "Oh, and we're getting coffee on the way." Her head was still throbbing from the hangover headache and she needed some pep in her step.

“What’s got you so jumpy, princess?” Vice said.

“Ah. Nothing. I’m just…uh…excited you all are here! Yeah! But not like here. In my apartment. We should probably get out…of…my apartment,” Aidan said, smiling afterwards to cover up his lack of cogency. Trying to come up with excuses was not his forte, so when he did so, his words came out spottily and awkwardly.

The two hunters looked at him for a bit. Then, Vice spoke up, “You probably don’t want to go outside shirtless. Thank you for putting pants on, at least, but it is winter and we all know princesses will whine if they’re cold. Go get a shirt and jacket and we’ll leave. Oh, and we’re getting coffee on the way.”

Aidan nodded in agreement. He was in need of some coffee. And though he was glad the group wasn’t planning on staying long, he still needed them out of the kitchen and away from the refrigerator. “Okay, sounds good,” Aidan said, trying to not sound as frantic as he did before, “just wait in the living room and I’ll be back in a matter of seconds.”

Immediately after he was out of the kitchen and out of sight, he ran to his bedroom as quick as he could and found the first shirt and jacket he could see. While he hastily threw on the clothes, some words were exchanged outside. But sure enough, in just a few moments, Aidan was rushing out of his bedroom and ready to go, his clothes, weapons, and wits somewhat in check.

Vice moved to the living as Aidan had suggested, dragging Lalan by the sleeve into the room as well. "We'll need to find out where Bomb is as well!" Vice called so that Aidan could hear her. Chris Tannenbaum was another Hunter and a very skilled one. Vice had a slight obsession with nicknames, Bomb being Chris's and Champagne being Lalan's. Though she hadn't come up with a good one for Aidan yet, but she tended to call him Princess for lack of a better name. Vice slid her boots on and waited for Aidan. He came rushing out, fully dressed, weapons on him, and she motioned with her finger for the others to follow her as she stepped out of Aidan's apartment.

Vice shoved the two into the car, flipping the keys around her finger. "To coffee!"" she shouted, throwing her fist into the air out of excitement. She needed the coffee at this point. Not only was her headache getting worse but she was also feeling somewhat tired at this point. I need myself a good pick-me-up.... Vice thought to herself. She opened the driver's side door and slid in. She started the engine and drove off to the nearest Esquires Coffee House, which was always raging with business nowadays, the people of New Zealand loving their daily coffee fix. She hopped out of the car and walked into the shop, not waiting for the others, ordering herself a Mocha with white chocolate. As soon as her order was up, she snatched the cup, sipping gently at the thick, creamy, white chocolatey espresso, smiling subtly and closing her eyes at the enjoyment of its taste.

After Vice violently shoved Lalan and Aidan into the car she shouted, “To coffee!” excitedly, and sped off towards the local coffee shop. Now that Aidan didn’t have to worry about them seeing the vials of blood in his fridge, he calmed way down and felt the hangover set in. ”Ugh” he thought, “now that I’m out of adrenaline I’m gonna need tremendous amounts of caffeine.”

When they got to the shop, Vice got out of the car and rushed into the coffee house. She didn’t look back to see if the other two got out. Aidan gave a little smile towards Lalan. ”I don’t think she even turned off the car,” the dhampir said to his comrade. As the truck began slowly rolling down the street, Aidan laughed, ”No. She definitely didn’t turn off the car.” (and for some reason it was in neutral...)

After putting the car in park and pulling the keys out of the ignition, Aidan made his way into the coffee shop, gesturing Lalan to come in also.

”I’ll have a tall, dark roast please,” Aidan said, giving his order to the barista, ”No cream or sugar.” As Aidan waited for his order to come, he looked over and watched Vice sip her coffee with her eyes closed and a smile teasing around the corners of her lips. ”You seem quite happy,” Aidan said. Not to be mistaken, Aidan was glad he was about to get some caffeine in his system, but Vice seemed abnormally happy, almost blissful, sipping on her coffee. And it was weird for Aidan to see her in this state, as she was neither angry nor drunk.

As Vice was enjoying her coffee, Aidan's voice interjected into her thoughts. "You seem quite happy." Her small smile faded and her eyes shot to him, glaring at him harshly. She took larger, longer drinks of her coffee, trying to finish it somewhat quickly. "We still need to find Bomb," she said, her coffee now almost gone. "Where do you think he could be?" She paused for a moment, eyes narrowing. "I swear to god. If he's already hunting, without us, again.... I'll have his damned head." As her coffee was now finished, she squeezed the cup in her hand, crushing it, a few leftover drops of coffee splashing onto her sleeve from the force.

She turned and walked to the car. When she got to it, she realized that not only was it locked but she didn't have the keys. She hit the door with her open palm and stomped back into the coffee house. She held her hand out angrily toward Aidan. "Give me the damn keys, Princess...." She was not in the mood for anything this morning.

Vice’s small moment of apparent happiness completely washed away from her face as she turned to glare at Aidan. He stared back at her as she began drinking her coffee more and more vigorously. ”We still need to find Bomb,” she said in between swallows, ”Where do you think he could be?” As Vice paused for a moment, Aidan looked down at the counter with dread. Though the counter was very worn down, it wasn’t so much the counter that disturbed the young hunter, but the thought of meeting up with Chris. Now, to be clear, Aidan very much liked Chris. That Van Helsing-related monster hunter was a damn good at killing and someone Aidan respected very much. However, whenever Aidan was around him, something about that hunter made him feel extremely odd and anxious. In Chris's presence, Aidan's vampire half was screaming, convulsing every moment he was around him. On his human side, Aidan worked hard to maintain a cool exterior while his interior went berserk. It was something Aidan didn’t enjoy because as much as he liked Chris, he couldn’t stand being around him.

Suddenly, Vice broke the pause. ”I swear to god,” she said, with her eyes narrowing, ”If he’s already hunting, without us, again…I’ll have his damned head.” ”That’s highly unlikely,” Aidan thought to himself, though when Vice squeezed her coffee cup angrily he was worried he had accidentally said it out loud. Vice then turned towards the door of the coffee shop, and left Aidan inside as she headed to the door.

Finally, a few moments after Vice had left the coffee shop, the barista returned with Aidan’s coffee. ”Mmm,” Aidan said, having a Vice moment. He sipped the cup cheerfully. The excess (and probably unhealthy) amounts of caffeine in his order were absolutely delightful. But, just like Vice’s moment was before, Aidan’s moment was short-lived as she came stomping back in with a frown stamped onto her face. ”Give me the damn keys, Princess…” she said, holding her hand out forcefully. ”Hey, you’re the one that left the car still running and in neutral when you walked into the coffee shop,” Aidan replied while taking the keys out of his pocket. While doing so, he tried to lean as far back as he could, in expectations that she would try to hit him.

”Here,” Aidan said, putting the keys back in Vice’s hand. After feeling he wasn’t in danger of getting a fist to the face anymore, Aidan decided he’d take his coffee on the road and follow Vice out the door. No use in staying back and relaxing while his boss was itching to get some hands on some supernaturals, especially because he was ready to kill some supernaturals as well.

Chris groaned as the light hit his eyes JUST wrong, wishing he'd been given something other than the pile of scrap screwed together with happy thoughts they called a motorcycle to drive so he could shield his eyes.

"Be feared as a scourge of the undead, and the people who's asses I saved give me one almost-dead bike in thanks. Why do I get the feeling I'm underappreciated?" he mumbled to himself as the sun rose up on another day. The laughter like paper being pulled across itself echoed in his head, then words came from Chris' mouth, the voice the same, but unlike before, lacking true emotion, as if it were reading lines off a script.

Do not forget how much you have due to your bloodline. Some would even call it making a killing. Chris spoke again, his eyes rolling to the side, as if he were talking to someone next to him.

"Was the bad pun really necessary, Tannenbaum?" Chris responded, gunning the motor a bit to drown out his living hell's response. This ended up being a bad idea, as the coffee shop he'd promised to meet the local hunters at zipped right past. Making a small sound best defined as a Perry the Platypus gurgle, he grabbed the handbrake, pulled a 180, and felt the back of the bike dip down and thunk onto the asphalt as the back wheel came flying off.

...Was kind of hoping that would look cooler. Tannenbaum continued as Chris slowly and repeatedly bonked his head onto the handlebars. And look sharp, your fellow hunters just saw that. Chris' head snapped up at those words, and he got off the bike, which proceeded to fall apart the second he got off, and smiled at the group.

"And you guys wonder why I'm not allowed in the car. Of the group, he was pretty sure he was the only fullblooded human, considering Lalan and Aidan both suffered symptoms of the Freakening whenever he was around, and Vice was too hot to be a pure human. However, since they were still helping clear the world of the stuff that goes bump in the night, Chris had forbidden Tannenbaum from going on the hunt against them, since hunters as good as they were kind of hard to come by. Good thing they didn't know that, though.

As Vice was walking out of the coffee shop, followed by Aidan, she saw Bomb make an odd maneuver on his bike, the back wheel completely flying off. When he got off the bike, it fell apart just after, but he stood there smiling. "And you guys wonder why I'm not allowed in the car," he said. Vice looked at him for a moment before speaking. "You're allowed in the car.... You just aren't allowed to drive it." She stared blankly at the wreckage that was moments ago a motorcycle. "It was kind of a piece of shit bike from the looks of it anyway, Bomb...."

Vice stepped over to the car, motioning for everyone to get in. "Hope you all are ready to kill some Supers!" She smiled menacingly. She got into the car, waiting for the others to follow suit. "Before we go though, we need to stop by my place so I can change quickly." And with that, she started the car, ready to take off.

As Vice said, ”Hope you all are ready to kill some Supers!” Aidan's eyes lit up. But soon he found them simmering down as she said, ”Before we go though, we need to stop by my place so I can change quickly.” "Dammit," Aidan said in his head, ”What is it with girls and changing?” he then asked, jokingly, out loud. Vice put the keys in the ignition and then started the car, ”And also," continued the dhampir, "why am I not driving?”

As the car then sped off, Aidan anxiously tapped a rhythm on his knee. He had been waiting all night for this and was very ready to stick some stakes into some vampires. He looked over to Lalan, ”I call dibs on the vampires. You can get the others,” then to Chris, “same goes for you, Mr. Van Helsing.” Aidan looked over to Vice. He decided to hold his tongue as he didn’t relish the thought of his boss smacking him in the face. As the car sped along the street, Aidan looked out the window quietly. A stern resolve washed over his face. Playtime was over. All that was on his mind now was getting his hands on some vampires.

"It has nothing to do with 'girls and changing,' Princess. These are my clothes from yesterday, and they smell like alcohol and piss." She quickly glared at Aidan. "And you're not driving because I don't let Princesses drive." She kept her eyes on the road, driving quickly to her apartment. When they arrived, she parked the car and got out, poking her head into the car again to say something. "I'll be back in a second; you three stay put!" She slammed the door behind her, ran upstairs to her apartment, and unlocked it quickly, moving inside. She shut the door behind her and took a breath, closing her eyes, glad to be away from the others for a moment. Even though it was really only for a moment.

She looked around at her place, gazing over the decor slightly. "Wish my place weren't so boring, not that I have anyone over ever." She sighed to herself, but suddenly remembered the task at hand. "'Girls and changing,'" she said in a mocking voice while making a face. She rolled her eyes, thinking about how annoying Aidan could be in her opinion. She glanced around the room, debating whether or not she should grab a few waters for herself and the others for their hunt. She quickly went to the kitchen and pulled out some water, putting it in a bag that was off to the side. "Maybe they'll quit their whining if I'm kinda nice to them," she said, smirking to herself.

She proceeded to her bedroom, which only had a twin-sized bed, as she wasn't keen to letting people into her bed with her, and the small bed tended to deter people. One thing she would absolutely never allow to happen would be letting the Hunters into her bedroom. Her duvet was covered with a silhouette of a man on a motorcycle, pictures of motorcycles above the bed. She wouldn't let the others know, but she had a secret and slight obsession with Bomb, who she'd seen riding bikes before. Her seemingly motorcycle obsession was a true allusion to her secret love for Chris, no matter how aloof he seemed to be in the group. Vice moved to her closet and pulled out fresh hunting clothes. She removed her gear and stripped down, replacing her reeking outfit with a fresh-smelling one. She reequipped her gear and started for the door. When she reached it, she looked back at her motorcycle stuff, smiling slightly.

She grabbed her keys and the bag with the waters in it. She decided to throw a few apples she had into the bag as well, in case the boys needed something to snack on. She went out the door, locking it behind her and stared down at the car for a moment before sighing and then heading down the stairs. She opened the car door, tossing the bag of waters and apples onto Aidan's lap. "I grabbed some waters and a few apples for while we're out there. We can stop somewhere and grab packed lunches if you guys want, too. I don't know how long we'll be out. For all we know, it may be all day. I knew we'd at least need something to munch on, hence the apples, and obviously we'll need to stay hydrated." Vice realized that she was practically rambling what was already obvious to everyone. "Anyway, let's get on with this." She started the car and revved the engine before pulling out and speeding off toward the wilderness.

Chris grumbled slightly as Aidan called all the vampires, muttering back and forth between Chris and Tannenbaum after Vice left.
Come on, the Van Helsing not getting vampires? That's like telling Twisted Sister that they can't rock!
"Since when do you listen to hair rock?"
Hey, you have your hobbies, I have mine.
"I think the better question here is how you listen to Twisted Sister when I haven't heard them in years."
I get FM reception in here.
"In a metal-free skull?"
I didn't say it was GOOD reception. Chris shook his head quickly to get his mind back to the previous topic and spoke aloud.

"Hey, Band-Aid, since I want to dust some leeches as well, so how about a little bet? We each get half the vamps, and whoever kills them faster gets all the bloodsuckers next time. Sound good?" As he spoke, he took out his twin hatchets from their sheaths in the cramped backseat and ran a quick inspection on them. The pair was made of a silver/iron/tungsten alloy which had been cooled in holy water, and then blessed by ten priests of differing religions. They were each tipped with a sharpened metal blade akin to a halberd, which themselves were tipped with slivers of wood taken from a shin-boku tree. They weren't exactly cheap, having cost him most of the family fortune, but they would cause serious damage to any supernatural dumb enough to let themselves get attacked by him, especially vampires and werewolves. He'd had their names engraved into their handles, Passion and Spite, and, having found inspected his weapon porn and found it free of damage, resheathed them as he waited for his fellow Hunter's response...
...
...And, having already let his attention leave the conversation while still looking interested, ended up thinking about Vice. She WAS an interesting woman. Seemed to eye up any motorcycle he was on as well, but considering his luck with the things, wasn't sure how safe taking her on a ride would be. He'd thought about asking her out once or twiDon't lie.a couple dozen times, but was always held back by the little thing known as dating in the workplace. Last time he'd tried that sort of thing, he ended up having to move to this division because of what was only known as "The Jell-O Catastrophe". He swore he'd been set up by a jealous ex, but he'd been new, so nobody was really willing to take his word. Honestly. And godDAMN, Aidan was taking forever to answer!
