Personality
Lalana was once a fun loving , vivacious girl, she was the life of the party, knowing just how to have a good time. She was a people's person if there every were one. She was quick and witty, never far from a snarky remark or a sarcastic quip. She spoke her mind, now matter the circumstances and was proud of who she was and how she looked
But now, she can't stand to look at herself, she shy's away at any social activities and keeps to herself. She is a bit reclusive, and hates what she is now. She has a hard time accepting the fact that she died, and that she then came back to life, and the fact that she has to live this life without her twin.
.

She'd come to terms with the fact that she was going to die and tried her hardest to get Lalan to get it too, He took them to all the best clinics and hospitals to get them help but to no avail, They were going to die. And they did. Then suddenly, she was alive again, she didn't know how or why, she just was, They only problem was, her brother was not.

To make matters worse, people were after her now, for being a ghost, something she didn't fully understand herself.

Spirit...
Phantom...
Ghost....

Lalana was having a hard time with the concept. She was still alive, dressed in her
house clothes, a warm cozy knit sweater, leggings and a loose top and flats.

But she couldn't feel the warmth, she couldn't feel anything. The wind blew in the trees, but it didn't tussle her raven locks, her feet touch the ground but the leaves behind her did not crunch.
She was there but not all at the same time.

To make matters worse she had no idea where she was.

"Hello?" She called out to the vast wilderness she found herself in. "Anyone out there?" She said, oddly she wasn't afriad, she was already dead.

She walked through the forest. "Hello?" She called out again before her eyes landed on a girl dressed as an elf and a guy with white hair.
"LARPers?" She grimaced. "Seriously?" Lalana had her nerd moments, but LARPing was not one of them. She did cosplay a few times for comic con with her brother, in middle school, They were the Wonder Twins.

Lalana blinked back tears. Lalan. She'd woken up without him. They went out the same way they came in. Together. But now, it just felt empty, and she felt impossibly alone.

She was seeking someone now, anyone, even a couple of LARPers..

"Yep, I'm that desperate,"

"Hello? Can you hear me?" She said to the pair as they spoke. She wasn't sure if they could hear her but she tried anyway.

Victor sighed. "I'm sorry. It's something I can't help doing to people...." He paused, taking in another deep breath before continuing on the exhale. "I am a Succubus...." The fact that he was telling someone what he was made him cringe with guilt. "I don't mean to make you feel the way you do. I'm trying to be genuine, and I truly do think you are beautiful and strong. However, my inner 'beast,' if you will, can't help but make me seem as though I only want one thing. It's more of a curse than a gift, really...." He walked over to a nearby tree and leaned against it.

Just then, he heard a small voice. "Hello? Can you hear me?" It was a woman's voice; Victor turned his head to meet with whatever had questioned him and the other girl. What he saw he almost couldn't believe. The girl was practically transparent. "Yes, my dear. I can hear you. What is your name?" he questioned cautiously. "Are you lost? Looking for someone? Can I be of any help?" His voice was still velvet and smooth as usual, whether he wanted it to be that way or not. "I am Victor." As he spoke to the girl, he assumed that she couldn't be a Hunter. She has to be a Supernatural of some sort....but what? he pondered inwardly, looking over the girl.

Lalana took a breath as the male LARPer turned to her, and looked directly at her, like he could see her. "Yes, my dear. I can hear you. What is you name?"

Lalana fought the urge to frown. "My Dear?" She thought but kept it to herself, he was like the only person to be able to see her.

"My name is Lalana." She answered softly. "Are you lost? Looking for someone? Can I be of any help?"

Lalana looked at him, she didn't really know where to begin, didn't help that it seemed like he was flirting, she blew it off though.
"Yes, I am lost, I died and woke up and I'e been just kinda floating around. " She started and then her features hardened. "Yes, I am looking for someone, my brother, we both died together, we're twins...so I figured if I woke up, he must've too but he wasn't with me when I got up." She said softly, if she could cry at this point, she probably would be by now. "I don't know if you can be any help but you can see me so I suppose it's a good start." She said.
"I am Victor." He told her. " Well it's nice to meet you, Victor, but um, How can you see me?"

Saeriel figured she wouldn't get any hunting done till the afternoon with the way things were looking as the man went on, "I'm sorry. It's something I can't help doing to people…." She nodded waiting for him to continue,"I am a Succubus…." She tilted her head. She had never heard of the term spoken but had seen in it ancient book of the mythology of vile creatures. It seemed strange that a beautiful man was the vile creatures the priests had spoken of long ago. They didn't talk about such things anymore since there was only one priest in the tribe now and she was younger than Saeriel was. She continued to ponder his existence as she watched him.

The man continued to speak however and she sensed his guilt. "I don't mean to make you feel the way you do. I'm trying to be genuine, and I truly do think you are beautiful and strong. However, my inner 'beast,' if you will, can't help but make me seem as though I only want one thing. It's more of a curse than a gift, really...." He walked over to a nearby tree and leaned against it and Saeriel finally relaxed, putting her bow across her shoulder and the one arrow in her quiver. "Alright. I'll get over it I suppose. I ain't a proper lady who'll faint just because of some strange magic."

Saeriel put some distance between them by following his lead and moving to lean on a tree opposite him. She figured that the lone creature perhaps wanted companionship for a while and she hadn't sated her curiosity about him yet. She opened her mouth gearing up to ask him where he had been born and what his name was but a voice made her jump in fright. She glanced about but couldn't immediately see anything. The incubus seemed decently calm as he turned to empty air and began speaking. "What the hell…" She mumbled still frantically glancing about. Perhaps she had been wrong. What if he was talking to some evil spirit she couldn't see?

Saeriel cast her senses out but the forest told her nothing. The trees didn't feel that anything was strange, the water was calm despite her situation. She sidestepped past the man and took several steps back leaving herself a way out. Saeriel wasn't scared but she sure as hell wasn't feeling good about this situation. Saeriel watched Victor's eyes, tracking his gaze but she still couldn't find what he was looking at even after he finished speaking. "Victor, what are looking at damn it? What are you hearing?" She cursed but kept her voice almost level, her temper rising at the same pace of her frustration levels. First she was a wild woman in heat and now the man was seeing things she wasn't. This day was entirely crazy and altogether messed up so far.

Victor looked at the fire-haired woman. "You cannot see the girl before me? I mean, she is transparent, but she is completely invisible to you?" he asked her, confused as to what exactly was going on. He pondered everything for a moment. She can be heard and seen by me....but not by the other girl.... She is transparent to me....but completely invisible to the other girl.... Just then, a wave of realization swept over Victor. He reached his hand out toward the transparent girl, his hand moving straight through her translucent shoulder. Nothing. There was nothing on the girl that Victor could touch. "Lalana, was it? My dear....this may be hard to understand or comprehend for you...."

He paused, rummaging through his mind trying to find the right words to say. "You are an apparition, a ghost, if you will. Not everyone can see you, though you can change that. If your will is strong enough and you want someone to see you, then it shall be that way. However, I am unsure as to why I can see you and she cannot." He paused again, putting his fingers to his chin and squinting his eyes in contemplation, pouring over the specter girl before him. "Before you lose control, I want you to take a breath. You are, indeed, a ghost. A spirit of the dead. I am a Succubus. A seducer, if you will, though it is something I cannot control, no matter how I wish I could."

Victor stopped for a moment, giving the poor girl time for everything to sink in. He looked to the fire-haired woman and motioned her to come toward him. "Please, speak to this girl. Even though you cannot see her, speak to her. Her name is Lalana. She is a spirit." Victor smiled as he took the fire-haired woman by the arm, guiding her. He stopped her in front of Lalana so that she would not accidentally step through her, as that could do more harm than good. "Go on...." he whispered, urging her to speak to the girl she could not see.

Victor's gaze searched Saeriel's and she did not avert her gaze although she had the strange girlish notion to do so. "You cannot see the girl before me? I mean, she is transparent, but she is completely invisible to you?" Saeriel felt like she was having a really weird dream and no matter how she pinched herself she wouldn't wake from it. She stared at Victor incredulously but kept her smart mouth shut instead choosing to keep her thoughts to herself. What girl? This man has lost his mind…Or maybe that's me? Jukkete!

Saeriel shifted on her feet uncomfortably as Victor seemed to think silently for a few minutes. Eventually he spoke calling 'the girl' by her name. "Lalana, was it? My dear….this may be hard to understand or comprehend for you" He trailed off and Saeriel tilted her head in a curious gesture. Wasn't he the one not comprehending that no one was there? She felt the odd urge to laugh despite the situation but once again she kept her mouth shut settling for an awkward grimace.

Saeriel watched Victor as he seemed to struggle with something before saying, "You are an apparition, a ghost, if you will. Not everyone can see you, though you can change that. If your will is strong enough and you want someone to see you, then it shall be that way. However, I am unsure as to why I can see you and she cannot." Saeriel blinked slowly. A ghost? Like the spirits of my ancestors? That kind of thing? Traako. Valanthar would have hurt himself trying to bow to the thing. Saeriel thought to herself sarcastically. The elf woman put her hand to her forehead and began to rub slow circles on her temple. "Please let me wake up. Now would be a good time." She grumbled, hardly able to contain her frustration at this point. She almost groaned as Victor continued, "Before you lose control, I want you to take a breath. You are, indeed, a ghost. A spirit of the dead. I am a Succubus. A seducer, if you will, though it is something I cannot control, no matter how I wish I could." He calmly spoke to the 'ghost' and Saeriel injected him with another sarcastic remark inwardly. The one losing control is me here.

When Victor gestured for Saeriel to come closer she lower her hand from her temple and gave him a reproachful look but stepped forward. He began, "Please, speak to this girl. Even though you cannot see her, speak to her. Her name is Lalana. She is a spirit." Saeriel eyed his smile as he grabbed her arm, sending fire through her nerve endings. It made her wonder what that felt like in other places and when images began appearing she blushed slightly unable to help herself. Jukkete! She cursed inwardly. Saeriel snatched her arm away from the man as soon as Victor had her in front of whatever girl he was talking about and gave him a tiny glare as if to say 'Try not to touch me next time.' "Go on…." Victor urged her and she pulled her bottom lip in between her teeth, nibbling thoughtfully. What was she supposed to say to something she couldn't see? A simple hello just wouldn't do.

Suddenly as soon as she blinked a young girl began to fade into view. She wasn't very solid in appearance but Saeriel could see her now and frankly it gave her the creeps. Saeriel rubbed the goosebumps on her arms and attempted a friendly smile as the girl tried to speak to her. "Hello? Can you see me now?" Her black eyes looked upon Saeriel's and the elf barely restrained her urge to grab her bow. She swallowed and stood a bit straighter before speaking politely, "Yes. I can. Quite the surprise mind you." She faltered unable to find the right words before deciding just to introduce herself and ask serious questions later. She couldn't be a jerk to a person she just met. " I'm Saeriel Cuvanthar. I'm an elf of the tribe Hidre'thael. It is my honor to meet you." She bowed just slightly giving the spirit respect.

"Would you be so kind as to tell me why you are here spirit? I apologize for being rude and asking this frankly but it is my people's belief that spirits do not appear unless…there is a pressing need. May I be of assistance? My tribe has a priestess and I would guide you there but unfortunately she is young and inexperienced and might not be much help." Saeriel finished and glanced at Victor before continuing to gaze at the ghostly apparition in front of her. She did not add that her people would not be very welcoming with the other part of their company. Saeriel was slightly indifferent to Victor because she had been young when the attack happened. She knew who to blame and Victor didn't seem to be any kind of wolf-beast.

Lalana watched as the LARPer girl tensed some. Lalana couldn't help the urge to smile crookedly. "Yes, I can. Quite the surprise mind you." She said and Lalana nodded in agreement. This was all very new to her too. "I'm Saeriel Cuvanthar. I'm an elf of the tribe Hidre'thal. It is my honor to meet you."

Lalana watched as the woman bowed as if she were paying her respects. "Um...Lalana Azzi. Formerly a student at NYU?" She said not really knowing how to introduce herself.
She looked between the two. So they weren't LARPers? They were actually a Succubus and an Elf, respectively. "Would you be so kind as to tell me why you are here, Spirit? I apologize for being rude and asking this frankly but it is my people's belief that spirits do not appear unless...there is a pressing need. May I be of assistance? My Tribe has a priestess and I would guide you there but unfortunately she is young and inexperienced and might not be much help." She said and Lalana didn't know how to answer that. "Um, Dude, I just sorta woke up. So any help at this point would be much appreciated." Lalana said biting her lip. "So you guys, really are...what you say you are, some that means I'm really dead right now." She said with a sigh. " Sorry, THis is really heavy , so yea, I don't know why I'm here. I Was sick, me and my brother, we had a tumor on our brains, the same one, it was weird, the doctors didn't know what to make of it, but we did. in was inoperable so we knew we were gonna die. I remember laying down, feeling really, really bad, and then I woke up here, I can't feel the wind, and can't feel the grass under my feet. So I'm really dead, and now I'm a ghost..." SHe said more to herself then to them. Her brow creased sadly. "Can you help me?" She asked them both.

Victor placed his hand on his chin in concentration, searching his thoughts. "Can you help me?" Lalana said, seemingly desperate. Victor felt sorry for the girl. Not only was she dead, she was unable to move on from this world. How lonely it must be. To have no one, to be unable to touch or be touched. Victor's heart sank with sadness. "I do not know, dear one...." he said solemnly, upset at the circumstances for the poor girl. He looked down at the ground, still searching his thoughts for a solution. He turned to the elf girl, Saeriel. "What do you think we should do?" Tears welled up in his eyes, the sadness he felt for the specter girl strong enough to override his calm exterior. He turned from them both, trying to collect his emotions, but doing a terrible job of it. "I'm sorry...." he said softly, trying to mask the sadness in his voice, though he was unable to do so.

He sat down in the snow, running his hands through it at his sides, making lines in the cold, white blanket that covered the earth. His back was still to the other two, unsure of what he was feeling. His mind was full of a cocktail of emotions. Sadness, grief, heartache, confusion. He didn't know exactly what he was feeling or what he should be feeling. He drew a small picture in the snow in front of him. A few trees, mountains behind them. It was sloppy, but it made Victor feel better for an unknown reason.

Saeriel pursed her lips feeling oddly guilty about the whole situation. She shouldn't have torn at the girl's raw spots and asked about such touchy subject but if she were to help the spirit she would need to know the what, why, and who of the situation. The hunter lifted her hand to pinch the bridge of her nose but stopped midway and feigned twirling her hair. She didn't want to give off the impression that the entire ordeal was giving her a serious headache.

"Yes. I am an elf. I don't know what else I would be…" She murmured before giving her ears a gentle tug to show that they were attached. She had noticed the that the girl was probably of human descent. It was Saeriel's first time encountering one but even so, she was a ghost and that made it somewhat unreal. Perhaps humans looked different in death compared to what they looked like when they were alive and walking? Saeriel pushed the thought away before her imagination could whip up some strange imagery and pulled her attention back to the girl. "Ah, indeed." Saeriel remarked uncomfortably having caught on when she was talking about how she was feeling. Saeriel wasn't the type of elf to feel sorry of others even on a good day and left her just feeling awkward and unsure. On the other hand Victor looked like he was suffering a serious case of depression.

Saeriel eyed him hoping he wouldn't have a breakdown. "What do you think we should do?" He softly asked. She bit the inside of her cheek as another pang of stress worried her mind. Wasn't she supposed to be hunting and not looking after a 'vile creature and spirit' as the elder mother would say it. The elders would have her head if she did what she was thinking of but she knew at least one of them would give mercy. Although the elders held a grudge, they upheld their image even more. She watched Victor turn around and sit down after apologizing. She nodded and gave him some space by staying quiet to think about how she would approach her new quest.

After a while had passed she spoke up, "I have an idea." She paused, collecting her thoughts and clearing her throat nervously. She wasn't uneasy because she was bringing strangers to her village. She happened to be uneasy because she didn't know if the other tribesmen would allow it but her code wasn't to leave a helpless girl by herself, even if that meant bringing a questionable figure with them.

"If we go to my village…Jaenenne, I mean the priestess can at least talk to you and impart whatever knowledge she has. Goodness knows she might actually have met a few spirits before. However, I can promise nothing." She hesitated again but she knew she had to at least warn them. "Wait. I need to warn you guys. I would be really messed up of me not to." She glanced at Victor guiltily. "My people live a long time so we hold on to certain feelings for many years longer than I guess a mortal creature would. So, let's just say that some mean demon beasts attacked our village and the elders have kind of prohibited other species from entering Hidre'thael." She sighed heavily before continuing, anguished to find a way to explain this nicely. "Victor, you know…Your not exactly what the Hidre'thael people would call an ally and they might be a bit hateful to you. I apologize ahead of time for that. Most of us younger generation are more forgiving and not so set in the old ways. Hell, you see I just barely managed to remember to bow to you. Also," She looked to Lalana. "I don't know how they will act towards you. It will probably be mixed since most will place you in the same category as Victor and consider you an omen so be prepared but I'm sure the elders won't be too mean to you since they are respectful to spirits." Saeriel fingered her bow string which lay strapped across her chest. She was hoping that her people wouldn't get too upset but honor meant something to her and always did.

"Anyway, it's your choice whether to come or not. Just follow me and stay very close. Seriously. The gatekeeper won't let you through without a little persuading as it is. Come." Saeriel gestured for them to follow and turned to head north. Her feet crunched through the snow and she looked down at it remembering something she should explain. "While we are walking I'll explain various things to you. Feel free to ask questions too since I don't have time for a tour of the place. I'm just going to take you to the healer and from there you are on your own. I will promise you the leisure to explore once you are inside and with the healer." She emphasized sharply. "It's simply so I may speak with the," She paused to find the right word that would be understandable. "Elders. Yes, so they know you are here. The eldest has the power of telepathy so she will notify everyone in the village. She's an old bat so don't mind her. Anyway the part of the forest is very resistant to the seasons as it is heavily concentrated with magic. Some things may look weird and trees may be twisted and larger but that's just because the strongest in the village pour their magic into the land and that's how we claim it. The magic bolsters the trees and life in the area. However, that is also why we do not hunt there because we are bonded to that land. If we hunt there, then we are destroying a part of ourselves. So please don't hurt anything if you can. Also, the guardian of the forest would not be pleased…not that I've met the guardian. The second elder Farogar claims to have seen it but I don't believe him." Saeriel chuckled as she finished her rant. They were getting close now as she had kept the pace set at a fast stride. The trees began to narrow, and the grass began to thin out beginning to look more and more like a path. When she felt like she was close enough she reached out and touched the barrier with her magic. Erelto immediately responded and his voice appeared in her mind, like a whisper on the wind. "Sae!" His nickname for her charmed her and she smiled. "Hello child. Yes, it's me. You always know my magic." She knew he could hear her. His barrier surrounded them and kept them from fully continuing down the path. If she had kept going she would have been walking in a circle for a long time. "Who are those people? They are not elves..Drilessa will have my head if she hears I let them in!" The boy cried in a panic. Saeriel hushed him and glanced to her companions. "Erelto, I will take full responsibility. Tell Drilessa that I am coming. You have similar powers to her. Will that suffice?" She could feel the barrier tighten it's vice-like hold before the pressure was gone entirely. "Fine. But you forced me!" He howled in her mind's eye playfully and she huffed before looking back over her shoulder.

"The gatekeeper will let us through. Come with me."

"Victor, you know…You're not exactly what the Hidre'thael people would call an ally and they might be a bit hateful to you," Saeriel said, and Victor shrunk back into himself. More people to hate me; how lovely! he thought to himself. "If only my charm were enough....even if it is sometimes forced upon others to like me." A wave of guilt ran over him. Why am I what I am? He sighed deeply, hanging his head as he followed Saeriel. When Saeriel stopped, she put her hand in the air, though it looked like it was pressed against something. "Hello child. Yes, it's me. You always know my magic." Victor looked around confused. Who is she talking to? She continued, "Erelto, I will take full responsibility. Tell Drilessa that I am coming. You have similar powers to her. Will that suffice?" Once again, Victor was lost. Erelto? Who is she talking to?! Victor pursed his lips, angry at his confusion.

"The gatekeeper will let us through. Come with me." Saeriel said. Victor looked at her, still lost in his confusion. "Is that who you were speaking with?" Victor furrowed his eyebrows as he threw the question at Saeriel. "M-Maybe it's better if I stay out here...." Victor looked at the ground, kicking a bit of snow away with his toes. "I don't want to cause trouble for you or your village...." Though Victor's voice was velvet and smooth, the melancholy in his tone was prominent, showing his abasement. He crouched down, pinching some snow between his fingertips like a child, almost pouting at the fact that he couldn't seem to make friends no matter where he went. He let out a sigh before pursing his lips, feeling defeated.

{OOC: Other Elves - Saeriel - Other Character }

Saeriel grimaced when her gaze met Victor's. He looked beyond confused and altogether upset. She felt a thread of guilt weave its way around her heart. The elven woman wasn't used to caring for people and was often treated more like a man than she was any type of woman. So for Victor who had complimented her and treated her as an actual woman deserved a bit better than to be treated with a type of superiority from her people and an indifference from Saeriel. Saeriel thumbed her bow uncomfortably as Victor asked her a question. "Is that who you were speaking with?" Saeriel chewed on the inside of her cheek gently trying to find the words to explain it to him with. So far she had refrained from speaking her native elven tongue. After all, although the elves hadn't kept up completely with human technology, mostly because they didn't believe in the chance of having it malfunction, they had kept up with several languages that the humans spoke. The elders took care of teaching the younger elves to speak it. It was hard to explain the gatekeeper in normal words without seeming strange she supposed to them. Saeriel finally deigned to answer simply. "Yes." She glanced at Lalana hoping the girl wouldn't ask any questions about the gatekeeper either. Saeriel almost palmed her face knowing that she was being an ass. First she tells them to ask as many questions as they needed but when it gets difficult to answer she wanted them to shut up. Saeriel returned her gaze to Victor and raised a brow as he stuttered, "M-Maybe it's better if I stay out here…." Victor lowered his eyes and Saeriel felt that niggling guilt again. "I don't want to cause trouble for you or your village…." Victor's voice was weighted with his emotions and Saeriel's hand clenched on the bows' grip. He crouched down, pinching some snow between his fingertips as he sighed heavily. She turned her gaze away from the sight and let her gaze travel the quiet forest. She knew Erulto was probably snickering at her awkwardness as he listened. "I'm sorry." She apologized not knowing what to say for a moment. She stepped closer to him laid a hand on his shoulder. The pull she felt from his nature strengthened but she had become comfortable with it over the walk and the new strength to it only made her itch to step away. Otherwise there was no reason to avoid him. Once she felt like he could understand that she was sincere she stepped away and got back on the path.

She led them the rest of the way through the forest. The path began to become more distinct as the tree aligned on either side of the trio and became less grassy and more like an actual dirt path. The snow had also started to thin and eventually as they neared the village edge became nonexistent. Due to the power of the area the land around the village only had two seasons and that was fall and spring. Snow never fell much and if it did it never stuck to the ground. However the chill was in the air and the leave were in that state of deciding what color they wanted to be. Most of the leaves on the trees were yellow to fading green but never red or orange and Saeriel peered up at the bridge where a guard scowled down at them. She waved and used her other hand to making a hushing motion over her lips and the guard shook his head at them.

The lights in the trees were still off but she figured they would be on soon as she took a glance at the sky. The sky was turning shades of pink and blue and some orange on the horizon as the time neared sunset. Saeriel murmured softly as she thought about the task at hand. We don't have much time. It will be nightfall soon and the feast will begin. I need to take them to the medical hut immediately. I also need to speak to the eld- Her thoughts were cut off as Lalana asked her a question. "So um, Saeriel, Do you think they can…um…make me at least tangible? It's a bizarre feeling to see yourself, but not the effects you have on the world…not even a foot print in the snow." Lalana trailed off into silence. Saeriel tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ears and wondered why she hadn't braided it before answering the apparition. "Honestly, I'm not sure. I've never heard of it but I'm relatively young in elven years and untrained in the medical arts. Jaenenne would know more. Also, she's a creative character and comes from a strong line. She'll help you somehow." Saeriel grinned, briefly proud of the little healer. "Well. We should get going before the sun sets on us and the feast begins." Saeriel gestured for them to follow with her right hand and turned to keep walking. "We should stick to the main ground-path. It will be busy at this time but it is easiest to get from here to the grand tree." She informed them.

Saeriel walked along the path for a while and waved to many of her people. At this hour many of the hunter were coming back with their bounties and from what she could see only a few had caught anything big. One band of hunters had a cart full of birds and few wild pig and Saeriel called to them. "Hey! You caught plenty! Tell me your secret spot next time okay?" The men laughed and some raised good-natured fists while others raised their bows. One man will long blonde hair stepped around the others with a fierce smile. "Saeriel. " He greeted before glancing to her guests in tow with an inquiring look but he didn't comment on it, instead clapping the fire-haired elven woman on the shoulders. "You aren't carrying in a deer. The men will be glad to have won that bet." He reserved saying what Saeriel had threatened to take from the men but Saeriel was unabashed even with Victor and Lalana behind her. "You mean their balls? It would have been a reward. They don't use them anyway." She teased sarcastically and responded to his touch with a affectionate pat on his hand. Saeriel turned slightly to see her guests and gestured at the blonde elf, "This is Valanthar. He is my-" She paused searching for the correct word in normal words. "Best friend. We grew up together so our people call him my Ban-Fral-Nid-Cinhil" She enunciated is word as clearly as possible without clustering them as she usually would in her language.

Valanthar was slightly taller than Saeriel but he had a boyish quality about him. His piercing blue eyes tended to woo many of the elven women but most never did anything about it because of his childish face. However, he was very strong and physically fit and tried his best to appear nice. Valanthar bowed and when he raised, his eyes raked over Victor then Lalana before he gave Victor a reluctant pat on the shoulder. He turned back to Saeriel. He lightly touched her elbow and his smile warmed her causing her to return it happily. "Try to not to anger the Elders will you, not intentionally okay? Every time I see you you're fighting something or getting into more trouble. Plus, Eldren and Mirkwan are waiting for you at the Grand Tree. I don't know what about." With that he strode back to the men who had leaned in to listen to Valanthar apparently curious about the guests. Saeriel waited a moment before looking to Victor and Lalana. "When you meet my people they may be more touchy than most other…species? It is how we become friendlier. However I would suggest not initiating it until one us does, just in case. Especially with the older elves." She reminded them. "Also, Lalana, Jaenenne may be able to touch you. I just remembered that Jaenenne often communicates with the spirits in the glen. So be prepared for her to try." Saeriel murmured with a shrug before continuing to walk on.

The sun was just a sliver on the horizon when the trio came upon the murky pond with a large regal tree in the center. A faint glow at the top signaled that the fire-elves were just beginning to stir the flames for the feast. The area around the tree was filled with fireflies and other insects buzzing around. A frog croaked loudly in the background and Saeriel was miffed not to hear the crickets chirping. She supposed it was not dark enough yet. Elves stood around talking in quiet voices as they looked to the trio and then away after giving them curious waves. Some of the guardians had gathered but definitely not all as Saeriel only spotted four so far. She stepped onto the wooden bridge that led to the grand trees roots and the entrance passageway that would take them into the tree. Magic left a tingle on her skin but was not similar to the barrier that Erelto used to ward off other creatures. It was a comfortable sensation that caressed her skin like a blanket. Saeriel led the group into the Grand Tree and was thankful not to see Eldren and Mirkwan as she continued through the lamp-lit passage. She took them through winding passages and intersections before they eventually came upon a door. The door was simply an entrance with leaves covering it to create privacy and Saeriel strode through the leaves and took a look around.

The she-elf was unprepared for what came next as a small girl slammed into Saeriel enclosing her with a hug. "Sae! My lovely hunter!" The girl squealed cheerfully. Saeriel regarded the elf with a slightly annoyed smile. "Jaenenne. My favorite little pest." She chuckled, only slightly serious. Jaenenne flashed her a wild smile and turned on the guests. "Hello! Sit down, please. I insist." The elf-girl gestured towards some ottomans nearby. Jaenenne stood at about four foot nine with long flowing dirty-blonde hair and grey green eyes. Her complexion was fair and she had cute thin lips that curved up in a beautiful smile. Her robes were a woody brown and Saeriel eyed the wing attachments on the sleeves that were mementos of her mother's. Saeriel took a seat in the corner facing the door and crossed her arms as Jaenenne scrutinized Lalana. "Jay-bird, give the girl some space will you. She's not your newest toy." Saeriel lectured the healer. Jaenenne glowered at Saeriel before huffing and bowing to the two guests. "I am Jaenenne. Healer of the Hidre'thael. I am extremely pleased to meet you." Jaenenne chirped happily, raising to give Victor and Lalana pleased looks. Saeriel turned her head to peer out of the small window to her left as she let her mind wander while Jaenenne talked. "I am sure Saeriel brought you here for a reason and I assure you I will try my best." She looked to Victor and smiled charmingly. "You are very welcome here in this hut." Jaenenne assured him as if reading him like a book. Saeriel glanced at the others with amusement and figured she would warn them. "Jay-bird, don't intrude on others emotions either, will you?" Saeriel eyed the girl with scorn but she was sure Jaenenne sensed her humor. Jaenenne shrugged giving Victor an apologetic grin. Jaenenne looked to Lalana. "Spirit, what ails you?" Her voice edged with seriousness but Saeriel knew she was having fun because her eyes glittered with mirth.

Jaenenne smiled at Victor and spoke. "You are very welcome here in this hut." He turned his face away from her, embarrassed at the fact that she could obviously tell he was uncomfortable. "I have a question for you, when you are finished with our Lalana here...." And with that he turned and stepped over to the corner, planting himself there, doing his best to stay out of the way.

Victor pursed his lips into an almost pout-like position. He pulled his knees up to his chest and put his left cheek on his knee, squishing his face a bit, making him look even more pitiful and pouty. He sighed softly, doing his best to make sure the others couldn't hear him. He drew little circles with his index finger in the thin dirt that his shoes had tracked in.

Victor did his best to get lost in his own thoughts and not eavesdrop on the conversation that was happening across the room. He continued to draw his little circles and waited patiently.

Saeriel watched Jaenenne speak to Lalana about her issues. Saeriel was sure the elf healer would have a solution to her problem. She sighed quietly before standing and lightly touching Jaenenne's shoulder, interrupting her. "Jaenenne. As much as I would love to stay and help, I really must get going. I can feel the anger glares already and I would like to keep my arms and legs right now." Her expression was resigned.

Jaenenne stared at her before responding, "Well come by later. I do have some ideas as to how use your power to help Lalana stay solid while traveling when she's near you." The healer mused. Saeriel raised one brow curiously before striding past the healer woman. At the doorway, she paused and looked back to Victor. "I would suggest you come with me since Jaenenne might take a fortnight just studying Lalana. It's your choice though. If you come with me we will be back later." Saeriel added a chuckle when Jaenenne scowled at her.

She left the medical hut with Jaenenne talking to the ghost girl as if she were an experiment come alive. Although Saeriel supposed technically the apparition was for a young elf new to the spiritual nature of the forest. Saeriel pushed the thoughts away and walked to the council chamber near the top of the tree. She had other problems to deal with, for example, the fact that the elders might just decide she was more trouble than it was worth. This provoked enough soft sigh to escape her lips and she resisted the urge to rub her temples for the tenth time that day. The lamps cast firelight into the hallways casting a warm glow. Her shadow on the wall was tall and distorted as the elf continued upwards into the grand tree.

Victor looked up at Saeriel as she spoke to him, encouraging him to come with her as it might be a while. He nodded softly and stood, following her out of the hut. "Where are we going?" Victor asked somewhat shyly, concerned about everything that was going on. "Don't your people hate....things like me....?" He lowered his head in shame, pulling himself inward and making himself small. "I don't want to be a burden...." he muttered, twiddling his thumbs slightly.

He followed Saeriel, still unaware of where exactly they were going. "I-I really don't want to be a burden...." He paused. "You said you could already feel the angry glares...." He lowered his head even more. He stopped walking and stared at the ground, crouching and running his fingers in the dirt. "You have a beautiful home, and I don't want to be the one to disturb the peace you all seem to have here...."

"May we just be merry in general and not give a shit what the older elves think!" He chugged the rest of his wine, wiping his mouth off with his sleeve. Saeriel gave a cheer to that notion and took a swallow from the wine. The burn was pleasant since she was used to it and she heard a chorus of voices around the bonfire join Victor's and her own in mirth. The warm feeling in her chest wasn't just from the wine, it was certainly because she was having a good time. She watched the entire scene about her. The soldiers clinking their glasses after a long day's work. The elders bickering playfully in their stubborn old age. The younger elves smiling and flirting among their peers. Saeriel knew that she would do all she could to protect them. She would never allow her people to be hunted by beasts again. She would never allow them to come to harm again. Another thought occurred to her. Her 'people' included not only the elves but people like Victor who were kind and good-of-heart. Her gaze followed her thoughts and she met his eyes.

He smiled broadly and Saeriel returned it but when he leaned toward her, kissing her on her lips she gasped, shock coursing through her alcohol-riddled mind. Her slow groggy thoughts tried to collect themselves. Is this really happening? Wow. He's kind of a good kisser. Maybe it's because he's a incubus. I could get used to this… She leaned in and then froze realizing her mistake. NoNoNoNoNo. I am a warrior! Not a lover! My father would shame me from the horizon to the nether realms! NO! She started to pull away but he was first to pull back. He burst into laughter, falling off the bench in doing so. Saeriel ducked her head as a slightly hysterical giggle fell from her lips. She hoped her blush came from alcohol and not at all a meager kiss from Victor. She raised a hand to touch her lips and her laugh grew louder. Forget it. She grabbed her mug and downed it without a pause. The burn was strong and her eyes watered but this time she smirked as the memories faded and so did her uneasiness. She leaned over to bench and helped him back up as he laughed away.

Several drinks later and towards the end of the feast, Saeriel was completely done for. Although she was a heavy drinker, she often didn't try to drown herself in it. She remembered having felt annoyed but she couldn't remember why. All she felt was a jolly warmth filling her full stomach. Even the other elves, mostly the guards, were to inebriated to care about the silly things and some of them danced to the music filling the glen. The lute player was somewhat handsome and he played throughout the rest of the night until everyone stubbornly went home. However, that was where her memories ended.

Saeriel opened her eyes and groaned, hearing the songbirds chirping outside. The morning light was coming through her window and she lay on her bed. She gathered all this within minutes. She glanced over and noticed Victor laying on the far side of her large bed. A raised brow was all she managed as a headache slammed her brain and she raised her hands to her head hoping to hold it together because she was certain it was disintegrating. After the pain managed to fade to a slight murmur, she slowly raised herself and moved off the bed. She walked barefoot on the sculpted stone flooring to her dresser to get new leather armor then to the bathroom where a stone tub was filled with water. She touched a hand to the water and felt power slide through her fingertips as the water heated and then came to a boil. It was an easy trick once you figured out what parts to transmute. It wasn't a full transmutation, rather, just a slight alteration of the molecules. She pulled back her hand and waited for the water to calm. Steam rose and filled the room until it felt like she was walking around the muggy swamps in summer. She peeled her leather suit off of her skin and climbed in. It didn't take long for her to get clean as she simply scrubbed away the dirty spots and was finished. She wasn't girly enough to feel the needs to use all those scented oils and fragrances. She just needed to be clean. Saeriel climbed out and pulled on her armor and left her hair hanging. Once done, she gave herself a once over and then moved back to the main room where she retrieved her bow and arrows.

She moved to the bed and lightly touched Victor on the shoulder, calling to him. "Wake up. I have to go hunting and such and I wanted to let you know. You can do as you please from now on okay? If anything, you should check on Lalana. She's been gone for a while.." Saeriel frowned as a pain-ridden thought occurred to her. "If she's sleeping would she be invisible to me? Oh gosh. You were the one who could, so you definitely have to check. I'll leave that to you. Also, if… If she's passed on..well that's good for her. I'll be happy for her." Saeriel murmured. She hadn't gotten to know the ghostly girl much but she had felt that perhaps she would make a friend out of her someday. She pushed the thoughts away and stumbled towards the door. When she opened it sunlight flooded the room touching on the bed and stove on the far side. She squinted and held a hand up to her face to shade her eyes. "It's way too bright out there." She grumbled feeling reluctant to be a responsible adult even though she surmised it was already afternoon which explained the abundance of light.
