Luke Morin

Doctor. 35. Former Canadian Army; Canadian Joint Incident Response Unit

0 · 118 views · located in The Real World, 2015

a character in “The Internationals”, as played by TheFinalOne

Standing at 5'11 this scrawny kid from a poor neighborhood in Edmonton has remained underweight. Some girl told him he looks good with that beard and that glasses so over the years he has managed to keep that beard, even though he is balding. Shorter than most and thinner than all he keeps a serious face at all times in hopes that they don't bully him.

His years of training as a doctor has turned him into a OCD of sorts. He keeps himself clean, does not smoke or drink or do drugs. Sometimes while dressing he spends the same amount of time a girl would for a party, drawing the ire of his friends.

He has not stayed up to date on fashion trends so when wearing causal one would notice turtle necks and other obsolete dresses. He does have a permanent tattoo of his girlfriend's name on his arm. Unfortunately his girlfriend left him and he says the name is his mother's.

Luke is not one to hide his emotions. He hates being spoken down to and has somewhat of a superiority complex. He thinks that because he is a doctor and has the power to save them he should be treated like a king. If he has a problem he will speak up, regardless of who he is speaking to. But years of military service has made him weary of acting like a douche so he keep his antics in check, barely.
Even though he was in the armed forces for nearly a decade, he never got used to it. Being a doctor he sees the mindless killing as a crime in itself. Luckily for him, his squad, when he was in the Armed Forces, never saw any action. He has never killed anyone and has never hurt anyone apart from when self defense was necessary.
He plays video games and is also a social being but he keeps himself away from things like drinking and smoking. He finds it unnecessary to destroy his mind and soul. When out of the uniform, he jokes about and maintain cordial relations with people.
He always carries with him a first aid kit in his bag along with his laptop and other stuff(even a geiger counter!). He is paranoid about chemical and biological warfare after his time in the Canadian Joint Incident Response Unit.
He speaks multiple languages fluently and is quite proud of that. Sometimes when he is angry he will mutter stuff in a language he knows the person it is for does not understand.

Primary Skill Set: He is a doctor. He only got his MBBS before he was drafted into the army so he does have an official specialization but during his time in the Canadian Joint Incident Response Unit he learned a lot about viruses and other biological agents.

Secondary Skill Set: He is fluent in English, French, German, Japanese, Russian, Swahili and Hindi. He does know a bit of other languages but just enough to get through.

Weapons: He received compulsory training in handguns and some other firearms but he does not believe in bloodshed. For him, his true weapon is his quick response first aid. Kit.

Hand to hand Training: He learnt Aikido, which is perfect for a man of his build and his beliefs.

Luke was born in a neighborhood of immigrants from many countries. There were people from Guyana and other West Indian countries, India, Germany etc. That is one of the reasons he learnt so many languages- to communicate with his neighbors.
His father worked in a small shop and they managed on a small income. At seventeen, Luke joined a small medical college in a nearby town.
He passed with flying colors and his college sent him to New York to give a speech on his paper. That is where he was asked to join the Canadian Armed Forces.
He left the force after four years and joined the Canadian Joint Incident Response Unit. But after seeing what humanity could do and fed up from the Canadian Joint Incident Response Unit's inaction he left it and joined the Internationals.

So begins...
