The castle is entered though large oak doors that give a low groan like that of an old man trying to get to his feet. The entrance hall is warm in comparison to the outdoors, but is still fairly cool. The grand staircase leads to upper levels, and creaks heavily under the weight of whoever climbs them. Somewhat cluttered with the Waechter family's collection, the entire room has the scent of wood polish, candles, and the musk of old paper and fabric.
From the front door the dining hall is to the left, while the library is to the left, straight ahead leads to the garden courtyard. Up the stairs, straight ahead leads to a hallway which breaks off into various other rooms. On the stairs, to the left leads to the hall with the bedrooms, and to the right leads to a hall with various other rooms as well.
