Charm Infusing: Luca has the ability to take an object and infuse a spell in it. Dark magic inherently is not defensive but if a spell is connected to an object, it can become defensive and only activate in certain situations. This also allows him to use the object if his voice is otherwise locked away for whatever reason. Using a charm takes out the time it would take to actually speak the spell in its entirety. Once the item is used, it will shatter and cannot be used a second time.

Spell Casting: As a Dark Witch, Luca's magic all comes from his internal stores of energy. This runs in his veins and does not require an element to be present. It mostly uses rage and fear as an emotional connector, but it can be called upon at any time. To use his magic, Luca must speak the spell without interruption and coherently. If he mumbles it, the correct intonation and word use is lost and the spell will fizzle. This is all destructive magic but he cannot use fire to cause damage or make a flood for instance since that requires elemental control. He is limited to how much energy he has. If he is completely exhausted, using a heavy spell could very well drain his life.

Dark Magic: Dark magic is the brand of magic he uses. This has its own dangers and limitations. Though it fuels his Spell casting and Charm abilities, it comes at a cost. Like all magic it is innate and cannot be taught unless one was born with this particular brand of witchcraft. Dark magic runs through the body much like blood does and requires constant use. If the wielder fails to 'cleanse' themselves by using the dark magic, it begins to attack the user internally. It has a mind of its own and cannot be wholly controlled. If the witch refuses to use the magic after a period of a few weeks, the witch will begin to experience violet mood swings and become very reactive to frustrations. This is the magic's way of trying to get the user to expel it if the physical pain and torture isn't enough. Finally, if consistently locked up, the magic will lead to insanity and the witch will quite literally go on a rampage or, end it the witch's death. Dark magic is not inherently evil but it is emotional. This type of magic has been consistently labeled as 'evil' and the wielders become top priority for elimination.

Equipment:

Crystals/gems Crystals, gems, beads, anything small enough he can keep with him that can be worn as jewelry. Crystals in particular are very good at holding magical spells so he tries to have a few on him in case he needs to make some long term spells.
Dagger: Luca always carries a dagger with him in case he needs something to protect himself with when he is low on magic or if he needs to cut something. Magic is well and good and all but it won't do shit for you if you can't use it.

Luca stands at 5'9 with a lean swimmer's build. He likes to keep himself in shape and active. Sitting at home doing nothing is not high on his priority list. He eats generally well considering his own magic could kill him, so he needs to ensure he is healthy otherwise. Luca is relatively fair skinned considering he generally goes about his business at night so that the town is asleep. It does make him look suspicious but he would prefer that over running into people constantly. His dark locks only add to the pallor of his skin. He sports a light dusting of freckles on his cheek and back but these are generally not too noticeable unless he blushes. He still has a boyish touch to his defined features making him look younger than he is on occasion. He likes to use that to his advantage and get people to assume he is an innocent little thing. His eyes are a baby blue hue that changes in the light or upon his mood going from a gentle excitement to a frigid glare. All in all, he looks like a young man finally transcending out of boyhood.

Luca is rather... eccentric in both personality and in dress. He generally wears black shirts and pants mixed with a coat, a cape, or attire resembling uniforms. He has quite a thing for uniforms. He generally accessorizes with a variety of charmed bead bracelets, necklaces or collars, and arm bands. He will never be seen without his multitude of layered accessories. He doesn't often wear rings though. He does have an assortment of earrings however just for show. Only a couple of them ever have spells attached to them. The gems are too small to put anything of use in them.

The most distinguishing mark on his body is the mark of the Dark Witch. Luckily for him, this mark isn't anywhere blatantly visible. The elegant black crescent moon resides on his right inner thigh, well hidden from view hopefully. If someone was able to see this mark, he has bigger issues than witch categorization, such as how the hell someone got into his pants and why. He is generally a loner so he doesn't let people get close enough to identify him that intimately.

Luka lives in relative isolation so he has been forced to find ways to keep himself occupied and entertained. As a result, he has picked up some odd habits and styles. To those he meets, his ways are rather strange and he likes it that way. He doesn't want people to think they know him or have figured him out. He likes to be a mystery they constantly have to puzzle. His ways make sense to him and since he is not welcome in the community, he has built up his home to be the picture of everything he likes. He doesn't abide by the rules and will get quite cross with anyone who tries to enforce any type of restriction upon him. He is a witch and proud of it. He doesn't hide since up till now, there was no reason to. He has spell books in plain sight and sigals on the floor and walls of his humble abode. If that wasn't bad enough, he has a variety of jars lining his shelves filled with gooey substances just for show and other jars filled with herbs since he has to heal himself if he ever gets sick.

He has a variety of odd tastes and often talks to himself or the other animals that happen to come around his house. He has a black cat in particular that likes to hang around him. He calls this constant companion Stardust and considers her his best friend. Luka collects odd bits and bobbles and his fashions sense is also quite strange considering the attire most townsfolk wear. His mismatching leaves much to be desired. His mannerisms are exaggerated and he can often bet too loud and up in peoples business. You can't much blame him since he has no one else and people that visit only come by because they need something from him and are terrified of him. Luka likes to increase his 'oddness' just to make the townspeople squirm as well. He is completely unfiltered and will say what is on his mind. Why would he care about offending someone when he already lives by himself and never visits the town? No, he doesn't care at all.

Luka is very much still a kid at heart and likes to be fun and silly. Live is too short, especially for someone like him, so he wants to live each day to its fullest. He often changes his voice depending on the context and he is always smiling. If he could, he'd be nothing but positive in his life. His customers always comment on Luka's bubbly-ness when dealing with them and the fact that he likes to hear himself talk and will most likely dominate the conversation. If he doesn't, he's making complimentary noises. He also jumps topics frequently or loses his train of thought. This may be more due to the fact that he isn't used to two sided conversations and doesn't understand the proper etiquette of speaking in groups larger than one.

Unfortunately, not everything is how Luka desires it. His magic is always crawling beneath his skin and ready to burst forth through his emotions. Dark magic primarily uses anger and fear as its mode of transportation and so Luka can be quite reactive at different frustrations. This is probably why most of the people fear him. He is unpredictable. He could be happy and smiling one minute and them a raging storm the next if he doesn't keep his magic in check. Suffice it to say, Luka is emotionally reactive and can't deal with stress well. He doesn't have a coping system nor does he have a support to help him learn proper control. He has much growing yet to do in the ways of magic though he acts as if he knows it all. There is no way he can show incompetence or weakness. Humans are hounds after all. They'll eat you alive if they could.

Luca was born to a family of Dark and Fire witches. It was quite the volatile combination. Dark magic devours everything however so it was known that Luca would be a Dark Witch from the very beginning. Even though his mother was a fire witch, he gained none of her abilities and is unable to use any type of fire in his magic. Since his family had a history of powerful witches, Luka inherited that endowment and showed the most promise of his family. His mother always said he would do great things but he would have to be very careful least his magic devour him instead. Other than that, he led a normal life in witch standards. His parents loved him dearly and did their utmost to train him in his abilities and how to control his emotions.

Tragedy struck when Luka was 11 and he found himself alone. His father had left to try his luck elsewhere and bring home much needed supplies but he never returned home. It was assumed the man had been killed by the hunters or fearful villagers. His mother at the time had been sick with no way to gain medication since the town refused to offer aid and she died soon after. Luka was distraught with his loss and his magic went haywire in his grief causing him to ruin most of the things he would have wished to cherish in his parents memory. Since he was still such a young child, the townspeople were a little more inclined in helping him but Luka tried to fend for himself for the most part and remained in his lonely home. He learned to catch his own game and find healing herbs by experimenting on himself. When people did come to him for aid, his price was always food or some other resource to replenish his stock. He had no use for money after all.

And like that, Luca found a way to live amiss his broken home. He found a routine and he enjoyed his life and tried to continue his education by studying from his family's spell book and adding to it when he discovered something not previously written down. It was peaceful, albeit lonely. The town didn't much care for him but he and the people had come to a begrudging truce it seemed with each helping the other in times of need. This to however, wasn't to last.

Luka is now 22 and he finds himself in hot water. The new generation of Witch Hunters have come to town and quickly learned of his meager existence at the outskirts of town and they quickly planned a raid party. It was only thanks to a detection spell around the perimeter of his home that alerted Luka to their presence. The young witch assumed they had been customers coming to his door only to find he was in danger. Thankfully, Luka had set up three charms on his house that unleashed powerful offensive attacks to distract the hunters. The poor thing scrambled around in his home to gather up his spell book and his cat before fleeing the scene. One of the hunters managed to get a single shot at him and hit Luka's left shoulder with an arrow enchanted specifically to sap magic. Luka was quick enough on his feet to escape capture but was weakened by the dart until he was able to remove the damn thing from his person. And now... he is on the run.
