Introduction

These lands, once used to live in political harmony, wars were long gone, the regions were governed by the King and his loyal Council of Five. Each Council Member took care of a certain region as a trusted hand of that Region's lords. There were four Regions:

Tempestas - The Coldest Region in the Kingdom, it was filled with Snow in the Winter, and it was constantly raining in the Summer. Despite that, it was one of the Strongest holds there were in the Kingdom, whose lords served as loyal members of the council for many years.

Flores - The Region of the everlasting summer, and the region which showed no interested in the political and economical situation of the other Regions, seeing as it was a secluded Region, with it's own laws and politics. It's economical and political alliance was a big benefit to the Council, and the Kingdom itself.

Nocte - The Region of Shadows. It had gained the title after the Warlock War that happened there, two centuries ago. Ever since the Land had been constanly covered in shadows and rain clouds, radiating the energy the Warlocks left behind. Due to that, most of the Warriors which have been training for long enough, had been able to absorb the radiation to the point where it benefical to their combat skills... Or it killed them. The Nocte Council makes sure everyone stays away from Castle Black, which is the source of the energy.

Corona - The Region of the High Lords and Kings. For centuries this had been the place of Election, Conferences, Festivals in Honor of the Royal family, and much more. Most Hailing from Corona's Capital City, 'Dusk' were noble-born. However, the areas further away from the city of 'Dusk' had more poverty than any other regions.

These Regions had been at peace and understanding with eachother for years, untill the Wise King died. He did not have a wife, or children. He did not pass the title of King to anyone, and most importantly, he did not PLAN to die. The King, was murdered. He was found dead, the morning after his birthday, stabbed in the heart. There were no traces of the killer.

At first, the council had almost agreed to give the Crown to the King's Advisor, but then, the Regions stepped in, offering different Lords to step onto the throne. It started as an idea, and the councilors had carried it out to their lords. But the Lords turned it into an arguement, Who would get the throne? From that arguement, it became occasional verbal battles, and then duels, and by the time they had realised the chaos that they were causing, the Regions were at war.

Flores wanted to rule over the entire Kingdom, without sharing. And Tempestas insisted that they were the ones with the right to the throne, because they had served the Royal Family for years, and their ancestors before that. Nocte did not care much for who got the throne, as long as they kept their place on the council, but under the constant pressure of the fights between Flores and Tempestas, Nocte had decided to ally itself with Corona's Council, and govern the kingdoms untill a King was found.

However, Flores and Tempestas did not agree to that, and proclaimed themselves as separate Kingdoms, which had caused the war to become more serious, because now, it was about conquest and blood shed. A kingdom full of liars and killers.

ROLEPLAY LAWS:
No God-modding, Power-Playing
No Mary Sues, every character has their flaws and their best points. I don't think any character should be allied to an 'evil' or a 'good' side.
You can Reserve a Spot for 24-34 Hours.
You can compete for a spot, unless it is marked as TAKEN. Although I do not see the need to, since there are lots of other spots, and you can go crazy creative with your character.
This is a FANTASY roleplay, occasional magic, mythical creatures, undead and things like that are allowed.
Violence/Gore is most likely to be here, just don't get TOO DESCRIPTIVE.
Romance is great, but take the fun times to Private Mesages or whatnot.

You can be creative with your Character Sheet, but here is what your sheet should look likethough:

City of Snow

When the news had hit Tempestas about the King's Murder, the Council of the Region had it's doubts and suspiscions. Who murdered the King? - Was the most common question, but the biggest wonder, was why. Why would someone murder the King? He was the best the Realm had seen in centuries, he had managed to keep the Kingdom's at peace, and took care of his people more than of himself. Tempestas would suspect someone from Corona's Council, since those were the people the King had relied on, but knowing that none in the Council have a big desire to sit on the Throne, they had doubts.

The bad news for them, was that the Crown was not given to the Nix-Natum family, which had served the Crown for years. That infuriated them, made them want to start a War. The Snowshades, too grieved with the recent death of Lord Snowshade, could not care less for who had gotten the crown, so allying themselves with the Snowshades of Nocte, and becoming indirect members of the council of Corona.

It had been several months since the accident, the Kingdoms had not seen days worse than these. The constant battle for the throne, a War starting, the Council would be too busy solving everyone's problems that they were forgetting there was no one on the Throne, and that had to stop. A letter had been sent to the two Lord Families of Tempestas, where they were invited to Ally themselves with the Council, or step back. The Council, however, did not mention any desire to put the Nix-Natum family on the Throne, thus, infuriating the loyal family of the North. So, Lord Alskart Nix-Natum was crowned himself King of Tempestas, which did not quite go as the Council would've wanted.

The Snowshades, in hope that things would not go to War, decided that it was best to sit back and watch the so called 'King' rule untill they had a clear idea of who they were siding with, which for now, they did not. The current head of the Snowshades in the North, and Widow to the late Lord Snowshade, would be a very requested figure in the public, since most of the citizens thought that a Snowshade on the Throne usually brings luck. The Snowshades have begged to differ, for quite some decades.

City of Summer

News of the King's death did not affect the Council of Flores much, since the King's court depended more on them, than Flores depended on the King. However, placing themselves upon the throne, would give them more power and respect, which was what Flores had been craving for years.

The Solarium family was particularely interested in the Riches that they could gain from the Crown, and the Aylana family had their eyes set on the Political and Military power they could have if they ruled over the Kingdom. So, they had decided to Ally themselves, the Solariums would have direct economical control, and the Aylanas would get the armies and power they had wanted. The Aylana family offered the eldest Solarium son as the one to sit upon the throne and rule the crown, as long as he had wed one of their daughters, and made her Queen.

So far, Flores had most success in war plannings, and had decided that they would make their move soon. Their chances of winning were pretty high, considering that Flores was one of the most desired regions in the realm. Would their efforts be successful, or would they be supressed by the powers of Corona and it's council?

City of Shadow

Nocte never cared for the crown, they were happy to be loyal members of the council, and appreciated their benefits. However, put under the pressure of the fighting Regions, Nocte had decided to ally itself with the Council of Corona, and keep their place.

Nocte was known for it's beautiful sons and daughters, and their skills in battle. Which was already quite a step forward into winning, and even if Corona did not win the battle, they could form an alliance with the victorious, and offer a Snowshade as a royal guard to the King, since the Snowshades of Nocte hadn't any daughters that they could give.

Recently, however, there had been mysterious activity from Castle Black, the magic seemed to have erupted a little more than it had previously, which caused quite the damage to the nearby settlements. Signs of dark creatures roaming the forests nearby seemed like a story to scare kids, but something about it made the Council worry about the safety of their Region. Who would be brave enough to find out what's happening before it becomes vital?

Corona

Corona, the Region City. The North of this Region is entirely occupied by the City of Corona, one fourth of which is the Golden Castle and it's allied settlements. Corona had seen better days than these, the Council would be too occupied in attempts to keep peace in the Realm, and still have control over their people.

The War declared by Flores and Tempestas was not happy news, but the alliance with Nocte made the Council feel stronger. Currently, they were rushing to decide who to Crown, in order to keep the City in peace, atleast for now.

Gille Crow, one of the most loyal members had been offered a place on the Throne, which he declined, despite his desire to be there. As he said, a King could not be a Snake, for it was not a talent given to an old hog. Perhaps the Councilor of Nocte would do well on the Throne, but that is yet to be discussed. Corona is awaiting a glorious victory, and a mysterious Nobleman to arrive and save what is currently falling.

The Blackwood family was also considered for the throne, however, the Council had not yet told them of their plans, since it all is in consideration, even though they do not have much time to think, since War is soon to start.

Temple of the Old Gods, Outskirts of Corona

The temple itself was a beautiful monument to the gods and goddesses of old. It was a place of learning for the scholared and of trainig for those of the balde. Its arcsrecture combined soft gental curves with sharp and distinct planes, creating and ordered an peaceful environment for its acolyts. It's stone walls cast a neutral backdrop to the lush forest that made its home. Within the walls, great statues dedicated to the old gods lined the halls, and encircle the main courtyard, from which the resounding clang of sharpened steel was a common tone.

"Again!" Instructor Barak shouted at the acolyts. They stepped back into position raising their swords to eachother, and awaited the Trainers order. They were Battle Mages and Sorceress, children who showed exceptional skill at the art of magic, and untouched profession in swordsmenship. The Instructor stopped near a young girl, a noble women of house Blackwood "Strike!"

The children moved into one another like two rivers meeting together. They danced, spun, parried and countered one another. After a few movements, the children had came to a draw. All but two, the Blackwood child, and a young man by the name of Dragonmiir. The two moved with such fluidity it was almost as if they danced, but neither gave an inch to the other. Until the young boy did the unexpected, he gave an opening, allowing the Blackwood girl to land a thrust, clipping his shoulder.

"Very good Samara" Barak said clapping, but found himself slowly stopping as the whispering from the other students caught his attention. He stepped to his left, and saw that though Samara landed a blow, Dragonmiirs' rested just before her gut "I stand corrected" he smiled "Dragonmiir wins"

"INSTRUCTORS!" A voice yelled

"Children, stand at ease, I will be right back" Barak said taking off at a slow walk with another instructor to the Masters House.

The children were quick to start congratulating Dragonmiir, but the humble son of a blacksmith was quick to shed the glory to the Blackwood girl "It is Samara who deserves praise" he said walking up to her "She is the only one of you two land a blow against me" he looked at the gash on his arm

"It is not even deep" Samara said with a blush

"Still a heavy blow" Dragonmiir said clasping her arm

"Children" Instructor Barak said walking up "I am afraid training will have to be canceled for the day" the sound of carriages rolling and horses walking into the courtyard was evidence that the children's guards had come to return them home. "Your guards will return you home"

Samara sheathed her sword and turned to find one of the guards standing before her with her horse, the other four guards rode behind "My lady" the man bowed

"Sir Brian" Samara nodded

"When you are ready, we will retrieve your sister and return to the estate" he said helping Samara up

"Let me guess" she said gripping the reigns as Sir Brian stepped into his saddle "She is out hunting?"

"I believe so my Lady" he smiled

"Let us be off then" she turned to click her horse into a gallope

"Better luck next time Samara" Draonmiir said mounting his steed

"You will need it" Samara winked, and with that rode off with the family guard to retrieve her sister.

Silence befell the the nearby forest not far west of the Castle of Corona. Two entities waited, fully aware of each other's presence, yet not showing any sign that they were. One body was large and muscular. Completely covered in brown fur, with claws large, and slanted to a sharp point. The second body was tall, yet obviously weak and inferior compared to the other. Hiding among the trees that surrounded the clear opening where the larger body feasted. Raspberries? What an odd meal for the creature who most would think to be the hunter of the other body, who was searching for it's prey. Stalking the trail that led to the berry bush. A single vulture circled the area. Knowing the signs of it's next meal. There would soon be death in the forest very soon.

Suddenly there was a rustle of leaves and branches in a tree nearby the larger body. It perked its ears in alarm, but continued feasting, as if the noise didn't concern it. The weaker body cursed itself, having ruined it's stealthy assault. Even so, it stared at the larger body, grasping the crossbow it had strung to it's back, and readying a bolt to be fired. Calm breathes, the weaker body waited for it's opportunity, as it measured the wind currents that flowed through the entire forest by touch. Finally, the larger body, having noticed the intense hostile energy directed towards it, lifted it's head. It's sensory organs were on high alert. For some reason, the larger body felt cornered. As if it couldn't escape what it was about to face. It felt fear, and the weaker body could tell. Within an instant, the larger body turned it's head toward the trees behind it, and a bolt surged forward, and embedded itself in the larger bodies' skull. The larger body fell to the ground a few seconds later.

Content with her kill, Carabell jumped down from the tree she had been crouching on. She observed the corpse, noting how limp the bear's body seemed to be. Before she could survey the face, the vulture from earlier swooped down, not giving Carabell any mind. It landed next to the bear's corpse, ready to begin eating. Carabell took note that there was a small mountain around 50 miles north of the castle, but was curious as to why a vulture would travel here all the way from there. Quickly, Carabell approached the vulture, and swiftly drew a throwing knife aimed, directly for it's left foot. She didn't want to kill it, as she didn't really consider the vulture as her prey. But she couldn't rightly let it consume the remains of the life that she took either. The vulture quickly took off, before the throwing knife reached it. The knife instead, embedded itself into the left side of bear's stomach. Carabell fell back in surprise, as the bear immediately sprung up, and roared at the sudden jolt of pain that was just inflicted on it. The bear turned it's gaze towards Carabell, with a mixture of hatred, confusion, and of the strongest feeling. Fear. It truly seemed like a cornered animal. The bear lunged forward, raising its claws in the air to strike down on her. Carabell quickly drew her broadsword, ready to defend herself from it's attack. As the large paw fell down, Carabell positioned her sword diagonally, so that she could counter it's attack with her own. Instead the bear fell down, it's eyes now glazed over, and empty. This was definatly one of the closer calls Carabell has had when hunting. Carabell examined the bolt she had implanted in the bear's skull. "Huh. Guess it didn't go deep enough to take it out immediately. If anything, it's death was delayed." Carabell stated. She didn't seem in the least bit sympathetic towards the bear, but she actually felt bad that it didn't die instantly, and instead had to suffer.

Carabell then took out the small spade she carried in her pouch, and began digging around and underneath the bear. "Pleasure never comes without consequence." Carabell said aloud. Carabell always buries her kills in respect for them. This one in particular. She feels its the least she can do, since they died for her little hobby. "This marks the 8th bear I've hunted. Biggest one so far too." She said to herself gleefully. "Although... I should probably work on feeling the wind currents some more. If the bolt went only a centimeter left, it would have killed this poor creature instantly. Don't you think, Bael?" She asked while continuing to dig. One might think she was talking to herself the entire time. But then again, they probably don't know about the shadow guardian that follows her. The shadow blob came out from the shadow of the tree she had been hiding in, and crept towards her slowly. Now a fourth of the way done digging, Carabell swept some sweat from her forehead. "Hey Bael. Why didn't you try attacking the bear when it attacked me? Could you tell that it was already dead?" She asked, as if expecting Bael to answer.

Carabell continued talking with Bael about every detail of her little bout with the bear. Bael merely sat there, watching her. Showing no sign that it was paying attention to her words, or even conscious. She finally finished, patting down the dirt covering where the bear now laid, buried. "Don't worry. That vultures gonna have to starve tonight." She smiled, picking up a fairly large rock, and carving the shape of a bear paw print in the middle of it. She then placed the rock on a mound of semi-wet, packed dirt at the head of the bear's grave, then began dusting herself off. "Its getting kind of late. We should be heading back now, Bael. Before father finds out." She began taking off towards the edge of the forest, stopping only when she reached the horse that she tied to a tree earlier. Bael followed suit, swiftly melding back into the shadows. "Hey Gustav. Did I make you wait long?" Carabell asked, rubbing the horses' face affectionately. "Before she could mount the horse, she noticed something riding towards the forest in the distance. "Maker be damned... My sister is coming to get me. Father will definitely find out if she finds me here. I'll have to circle around and cut through the forest to evade her." Carabell kicked into action.

She went on with her plan, soon making it to the stables, where she left Gustav, giving him a carrot she had stolen. She then rushed to the secret underground family passage into the castle. Coming out through trapdoor underneath the rug in the kitchen pantry, she peeked first to make sure no one was around. Getting out, Carabell, snuck her way all the way to the armory, where she was going to store her crossbow. "Phew. It looks like I got home before Samara. Shes probably still searching the forest for me with Sir Brian." Carabell snickered at the thought, beginning to unlock the armory.

Samara slowed her horse as the party approached Guatav, her sisters favored steed. As they slowed down she began scanning the tree line for her sister. She turned to the four guardsmen "Find her please"

The four men dismounted their steeds and stepped into the forest. Their chain mail shakes slightly as they walked, and the noise dissipated the further they stepped. Sir Brian was the only one to remain with Samara. He soon dismounted his horse, unhitched Gustav and brought the horse around.

"She is not here" Samara said

"Your sure my lady" Sir Brian asked. The face he received changed his response "Of course my lady" he turned to the woods "Men! Lets go"

The soldiers returned, mounting their steeds "Let us be off then" Samara said kicking her steed into a gallop once again.

Blackwood Manor

As they passed through the main gates, Samara veered the colum to the left directly to the stables. She was young, but already accustomed to the role of a leader. She was able to command the respect of most of the house guard, and many obeyed her commands as if they were her fathers. She stoppe her horse in front of a stable boy, as soon as his hands gripped the reigns she dismounted and walke towards the castle.

She removed the robes of the acolyt and passed them to a maid for cleaning and return to we room. The garments she wore underneath were stunning for a girl of her youth, though her body had matured to fill it out. She wore steel boots that came up to her shins, and padded leather that ran under them and up to midway on her thigh. A padded steel mail skirt covered her hips, and a longer leather trail came over it. Her mid section was bare, and a steel chest piece covered just that, her chest. Steel pauldrons and gauntlets covered her arms, and thin leather, fingerless gloves ran up under the gauntlets.

Te clink of chain mail caught her attention, she looked at the stairs to see her shield maiden Eva coming to greet her.

"Samara" Eva said with a cheerful smile, she had pulled her dark blonde hair into a poney tail. Her apparel was much the same as Samaras. Save that she had leather and steel plated greaves as opposed to a skirt. She also wore no gloves or pauldurons.

"Sister" Samara gave her close friend a hug. Since birth, Eva had always been beside Samara and her sister. As Carabell drifted farther from Samara, Eva became closer "Have you seen Carabell?"

"Last I heared she was in the main hall" Eva replied

"Let us find her please,I need to speak to her" she gestured for Eva to follow

"Of course" Eva replies and the two ascended the stairs.

Council Chamber of the Golden Castle

The stone walls of the Council Chamber made the room look rather cold and unwelcoming. The floor was made out of the best wood the Late King could find, and the chamber itself was decorated with paintings, vases, sculptures - new and old. The table was covered in a light, Green-Gold cloth, representing the colours of Corona and it's Council.

Corona was once known as the City of Gold, before the Royal Family had decided to make it the Capital City of the Realm, centuries ago. After that, the only title left to remind people of the real name of Corona, was the 'Golden Castle', or as many would prefer calling it, 'The Castle of Gold ... And Liars', as Gille would say. Upon the table, plates and vases made out of pure gold and silver, seeing as the council once had no idea where to put the gold if not to decorate the entire castle. There was a small wooden stand in the middle of the table, on whom a large tome had been placed 'Once There's No Ruler, The City Falls Apart, How Do You Form A New Start?' A rather interesting book, especially in these times, where the council had so desperately been seeking a King. There was a letter sticking out from the corner of the tome: The order of Crowning.

The Council already had some ideas of who they could put on the Throne, but with the upcoming war, the candidates were becoming less and less. The Council was not bothered by that, whatsoever, since the less candidates there were, the easier it was to choose.

"The Blackwoods would make a fit choice." One of the minor councilors spoke.
"So would the Ashmores." Gille raised his eyes and stared at the councilor, his voice as soft and smooth as the finest silks, but with a tone of command in it.
"The Ashmores DO have alot of influence on Corona's guard. Having them on our side would be rather lovely." The councilor spoke once more, to which Gille gave a nod of approval.
"However, we must not make rash decisions, Lord Aren. You care for your family alot, don't you? The Ashmores have no children, yet they have lots of riches, and the entire Guards Collective beside them, if you do something that will not please them, they may turn around and make you pay for it. Not speaking ill of the Ashmores, ofcourse, but we all know that's true, do you not think so, Lord Crow?" The King's advisor spoke, who now had no more than a mere place on the council.
"Very well. Unfortunately, time is very little for me, at this moment. We shall proceed another day." Lord Aren - One of the Councilors of Corona spoke, lifting himself from his chair, and moving his obese body across the room, and out the door.

The Council nodded, and made their way out, untill the only two people in the Chamber were Lord Crow and the Advisor - Derren.

Derren stared at Lord Crow for a moment, before raising himself from his seat, and looking down upon the Snake. "You're too smart for the good of the Council." He spoke. "If we manage to get the Lords of Tempestas, and the Lords of Flores to come meet us, and discuss this war thing, hopefully make a truce, you better not ruin this." His voice had the sound of threat. The Snake, however, did nothing but yawn, and remove himself from the chair, walking up to the Advisor.

Gille was clearly taller than Derren, which made Derren feel inferior every time Gille came close to him. Now, the Snake was looking down at the once Advisor. "If you're going to invite them INTO the Castle of Gold, you're really stupid." He said with a smirk, to which Derren growled, and instead of replying walked out of the room.

Gille ran a hand through his hair and smiled to himself. A smile that was full of mystery. A smile that could not be trusted. "Remember, my darling Council, we're all liars, even if you think you're not." He nodded at the empty room, dusted off his cloak, and put it on, before retreating from the room.

Near Castle Black, Nocte

Agathar the Dark walked across the darkened landscape that surrounded Castle Black. The darkened and black trees held back a slowly seeping mist that cracked with magic. The ground was burnt from year old magic, and the sky for once did not rain. The man that walked forward wore garments not seen since the Warlock Wars. His armor was a dark grey, and held jagged curves and points, almost like orcish armor. A tattered black, hooded cloak covered over him.

The man removed his good to show a metal helmet similar to his armor "What do you think Shia" the man said to no one

That was until the dark tendrils of the nether opened up from the earth and a succubus stepped forth "I think it would make a very dark homested"

"I feel as though there is something you are not telling me" he said leaning on his staff

"Something is wrong within the castle" Shia said "Many of my kind are being summoned within and let lose. It would appear that someone has inhabited the old castle" she cocked her head "It appears you will need to tap into the dark to accomplish your goals"

Agathar signed, after the wars he used necromancy to only prolong his life, he had seen how destructive it could be in battles "If it comes to it"

"If it must be, the only other option is to combat his demons with your own" Shia knew this was a taxing suggestion as it would lead to a very balanced and long term battle for the keep.

Agathar held up his free hand, shadows swirled around it as a raven took form "Go see what awaits us, and find me" with those words left his mouth the raven took flight. Agathar turned to Shia "We need to start recruiting, Shia find me the nearest village"

City of Fall - Ayame Rhaeph Aylana's Chambers

Ayame gently held Serena in her arms, patting and scratching behind the Feline's ears meanwhile one of her personal maids was brushing her long, dark brown hair. She tilted her head slightly in wonder, "Why all the sudden formality requested of me today?" she asked, her eyes moving to look outside the window, which had direct view to the main court. She could see several carriages arrive, she recognized the crest, those were the Solariums.

The maid smiled happily at Ayame, and put the brush down, walking over to get one of Ayame's favourite formal dresses. "I'm surprised you have not been told, m'lady." She nodded gently, choosing between the different floral colours and patterns of dresses, "After the most recent union of the Solariums and Aylanas in the council court, they have decided that you or your sister would have to wed the Solarium boy, for political and war efforts." she said in a gentle voice.

Ayame's face went pale. Not only had she never talked to a boy except for her Brothers, but never had she even liked one. And now, all of the sudden, she had to wed one? A Solarium, no less. The Solariums and Aylanas had strong bonds since the past, breaking a promise would not go well! She twitched, and Serena jumped off, walking away slowly. Ayame then rose from her chair, turned around and glared at the maid. "I'm not going anywhere!" She said loudly.
"I'm sorry m'lady, but these are your Father's orders. You know how much your Father cares for you, he's giving you the chance to become a Queen! No, THE Queen!" The maid said reassuringly.

Ayame thought about it for a second, and opened her mouth to protest, but realised that there was no use. She had a sister, so there was a chance that she wouldn't be the one to get married. She sighed and stripped down from her everyday dress, and put on the one the Maid had handed to her.

"You look stunning." The Maid said, putting the Aylana Necklace around Ayame's neck. "Anyone who got the chance to wed you would be a lucky man!"

Ayame trembled at the thought, she knew that her mother got married at fourteen, and Ayame was nineteen right now.. But she just didn't feel ready. "What if they don't like me? I prefer my books and my flowers. I'm not a good conversational partner." She said insecurely. The Maid gently patted her back. "M'lady, your father will want you to be in the meeting hall in about ten minutes. And do not worry, many women who are married right now and have a loving family did not know their husband untill after the marriage. " She told her, and walked out of the room.

Ayame sighed, walked up to the window and stared out of it, inspecting the new-comers.

Snowshade Manor

[center]Rays of dreary sunshine filtered through the middle split of the red velvet curtains in the utmost unpleasant manner, the bustle of servants hurriedly rushing to and fro in attempt to draw a bath only making Ever’s distaste for the morning to grow. Desperately tightening her eyelid’s protective covering, the heiress was struggling to regain the blissful moments of sleep that had evaded away from her...and was being unsuccessful. No sooner than a few moments passed in futile attempts, a maid servant gingerly tapped the young woman’s shoulder, the words not quite registering in Ever’s mind. Would allowing me to sleep be too much to ask for? resonated the bitter thoughts, an irritated sigh following in suit of the stirring.

Stepping out of the porcelain clawfoot tub, a shiver coursed through her small frame at the sudden cold. However, that invasive feeling was immediately banished as a fur robe was tightly tucked around her naked form, a maid already guiding her to where the outfit of the day was meticulously arranged on the crimson covers. Hm… green today? Lovely.. my favorite color. murmured her sarcastic thoughts as she dropped the fur robe, her maids promptly responding in action. As the dress was fussed with and corseted breathtakingly tight, Ever couldn’t help but allow her gaze to drift to the window. I can’t wait for winter to come…. it looks too foreign without it’s blanket was her appraising thoughts, those feline-esque orbs flickering to the gathering clouds. Maybe my wish will be granted soon enough..

The whole ordeal with changing to look presentable in the morning wasn’t an easy task, heavens no, but it came as natural as breathing or talking by now. After all, she had 10 years to practice it. An hour later, a surprisingly short amount of time for what she just had been through, the heiress was swiftly walking down the halls of their manor, hunger fueling her. In a matter of minutes, the eldest Snowshade was in the dining hall, a frown painting it’s way onto the corners of her mouth. Mother isn’t here yet….. just lovely. mused her worried thoughts, a slight twinge of annoyance in them.. After all, now she would have to wait for the appearance of the Head to begin eating breakfast.

Carabell unlocked the armory and stepped inside, a smile spreading across her face. She never got tired of par-oozing and browsing the many weapons and amours that decorated the dark, dim room. She took her time walking, as she gazed over the battle axe display to her right. 3 tables and 7 wall hangers filled magnificent bludgeons, sharpened to perfection by the Dragonmiir boy Carabell's sister seemed to be friendly with. Carabell didn't know much about Dragonmiir other than his name, and the fact that he's a blacksmith's son. Or that he knows Samara. Carabell ran her fingers over the glass casing that housed the finer swords collected by the Blacksmith family. One in particular caught her eye.

A cutlass stolen from a pirate captain who had targeted the Blacksmith mansion for reasons unknown, back before her father had even been born. It still shown brilliantly and new, as if just crafted. Along the edgings of the scabbard, shined a beautiful mother of pearl. Of course all of the crew had been executed, for attempting to steal from the royal family. Carabell's great grandfather was the head of the family at the time. She remembered him being gentle, and kind the one time she saw him. Lying on his death bed, and marking her grandfather as the new head of the family. She was only 4, so the memory was fuzzy to her, but she couldn't imagine him being cruel enough to kill an entire group of people for something as petty as thievery. Then again, thievery didn't mean as much to her as it did most people.

Finally She made it to the end of the armory hall, where the stands that held each member of the household's handpicked armor and weaponry lied. Her father's in the middle. A few spaces to the right, lied the empty stand where Carabell's should be. Lying behind it, was one of her usual black dresses, that she had placed there. Having of course locked the armory back behind her, Carabell began undressing, and redressing into her new set of clothes. She then carefully placed her armor back on the stand, and placed the crossbow on the arm posts next to it. With a huff, she turned around, and went to leave the armory.

Not looking behind her before locking the door, Carabell turned around only to be met with the dissatisfied eyes of her twin sister, and the stern look of their bodyguard, Eva. 'Maker be damned.' Carabell first thought, as soon as she saw them. A bead of sweat trickled down her face as she waited silence for what felt like hours. Finally, Carabell decided to break the ice, for some reason taking a nervous breathe before speaking. "Its good to see that you are back dear sister. How was today's visit to the temple? Did you receive any injuries this time?" She asked, hoping to keep a light topic. Bael watched from the shadows in the corner of the hall, apparently intrigued by the atmosphere between the sisters.

Blackwood Armory

The surprise look on Carabells' face was one not uncommon to Samara or Eva. To many times had the duo caught Carabell doing something she should not. Samara looked her over quickly, the dress she currently wore had no dirt at all. This ment she had arrived early enough to change over from her adventures in the forest.

"Must have been a long walk in that outfit, especially without a steed" Samara said "Who by the way must have jus been fine with being tied to that tree with no more but the grass below his feet to eat" Samara stopped herself, she was begining to sound more and more like a condescending elder than a sister. Samara embraced Carabell in a hug, her chest plate pressing against her sisters chest. Samara pulled away "I am just glad your safe. I know you can handle your own, but it's still my job to look after you"

She and Eva made their way around Carabell and opened the armory door. Eva stepped inside first, Samara turned to her sister one last time "The temple was invigorating as ever. You should come with next time" and with that she shut the door.

"You seem stressed my lady" Eva said helping Samara remove her armor and place it upon the stand, as well as her own.

"I feel as though I am turning into a bureaucratic noble women" She said unbuckling her chest piece and pauldurons.

"My lady, you are a noble women" Eva said jokingly, she pulled her metal greaves and boots off.

"You know that is not at al what I want to be" Samara said removing her chain mail top and placing her armor on the stand, she turned around with little more than a strip of cloth over her bare chest "I just feel as though I am pushing her away"

"Carabell loves you" Eva said pulling on her leather hide boots "She is just slightly envious of the praise you gain"

"I do not do it on purpose" Khalan said pulling her normal attire on, a functional dress of leather armor.

"She will see it in time" Eva said buckling her leather padded jacket "Give her some time"

Samara walked over to the weapons racks to her section of steel made for her by Dragonmiir.

"You love him don't you" Eva said placing her shield on her armor stand

"He is a very unique and stunning individual" she pulled down her dress sword, a slim broad sword engrave with runes filled with sapphires "And a unmatched swordsman and skilled blacksmith"

"So you do love him" Eva jested grabbing her scimitar and sliding it onto her back, she walked over to her spear

Samara sheathed her sword and placed it on her hip "Yes" she grabbed her wrist blades and placed them under her sleeves. A knock came to the door "Lady Samara?"

"Yes" she said locking them in place

"Your father requests your presence in the main hall" the servant said

Samara looked at Eva, who simply gave her a shrug "We are coming" Samara said as the two walked toward the door.

Mining Village

It started to rain heavily as the hooded man walked up the only dirt rode into town. His hooded cloak was drenched, and his feet trudged through the mud. Most the lights in the village were out, save for those of the inn and local miners guild. As lightning flashes the succubus appeared at his side. With the crash of thunder another appeared on his other side.

"We are at your command master" Shia said

"What would you have us do" the other succubus, Akira, said

"I have buisness with this villages elder" he kept walking as they spoke, passing into the village itself "Shia, the inn if you will. Akira, the guild" the two succubi nodded

As they walked in their demon forms, a flash of lightning whited out the view and suddenly two exotic women stood in their place. The first, a female in right red leather and a black poney tail walked into the inn.The other, almost an exact match save for auburn hair, walked into the guild. As the doors closed, Agathar walked to the elders house.

He knocked politely on the door

"Who is it?" The elder asked

Agathar simply knocked again

The sound of an unhitched lock notified Agathar that the door was opening "I said who...." His facial expression changed when he saw the man standing at the door

"Conrad" Agathar said removing his hood revealing his mask "You have grown haven't you"

"Dark One" Conrad tried closing the door, but Agathars staff jammed it open "Now is that anyway to treat an ally"

"You are no ally" Conrad said pushing from the door, and running to his sword "I have seen your deeds Dark One, you are nothing more than a monster"

Agathar pushed open the door and showed his own palms "I mean no harm, simply hear me out"

"I know of your vile words" Conrad held his sword ready "I will cut you down"

"Just like the demons that are at your villages door?" Agathar pried "Or the darkness that looms from Castle Black?"

Conrad knew these were both valid points, perhaps Agathars was not the man her remembered as a boy "What do you know of this"

"I know that you alone cannot hold back the tide that is growing within that keep" Agathars said stepping closer "And I offer you aid"

"What aid could you offer us?" Conrad asked, intrigued yet cautious

"Power, an unity of the villages surrounding Castle Black" Agathars spoke

"In exchange?" Conrad knew that with each offer of power from a warlock, there was a catch "What do you want in return"

"Nothing" Agathar smiled "Call it a gesture of good will"

"You lying..." A knock at the door cut CConrad off

"You should answer that, it could be for you" Agathar gestured to the door

"No tricks Dark One" Conrad said sheathing his sword. The Elder walked to his door and slowly opened it. Before him stood te entirety of the village, but they were different, youthful and strong where they had been weak and tired "By the gods"

Between the masses two females in tight red leather armor walked, the stood at the bottom of the steps to his home "Power and unity to combat this evil" Agathar said again clasping Conrad's shoulder.
