|| Physical Description ||
Akira has a slim, athletic build and, overall, does not look very imposing. His hair is black, with the right of his head shaved, forming a wild look out of the hair at the top and left side of his head. He has a tattoo of battling snakes on his left forearm and multiple points on his face are pierced, though he rarely wears them anymore. He use to care a lot about how his clothes looked, but he has sort of grown out of that phase in his life, preferring to just sport a plain t and jeans if given the opportunity.
|| Personality ||
Akira often appears to be quite a lethargic and unmotivated young man, rarely doing as he is told and often getting into trouble for it. This "problem" in his personality comes from a boredom with most of the daily routines of his own life and the lack of excitement around him. He rarely ever shows any seriousness, often being equipped with a witty comeback or taunt for whoever is trying to pressure him. He has shown an incredible lack of respect for authority and has run into trouble with teachers and the law several times do to this. He does not do this because he thinks it makes him cool, but rather, to him, respect is something you have to earn and it can't be given regardless of your title or age. He believes it is pretty simple, you need a code and with that nothing can touch you. Akira can come across as uncaring, or even callous, but he does have a strong sense of justice and will never go back on his word. He detests liars more than anything else, believing when someone goes back on their word, they are dead to him. End of story.
Akira has always had a habit of getting into fights, despite the fact he states he can't stand violence. Even with that, he still will often go out of his way to irritate people further, until the point they are willing to fight if only to make that smug look on his face disappear. He respects people who put their minds to something and never give up, regardless if he believes their goal is even within the realm of possibility. The trait he admires is the perseverance, and not necessarily the intelligence. The reason for this is he doesn't feel anything is worth striving for, so those who do make such attempts are able to do something he can't. Akira has a special talent. That talent being his incredible ability to get under people's skin with an almost effortless finesse.

Akira's hair has grown out significantly and his skin is far more tan than it originally was. He is almost four inches taller with more noticeable muscular definition. He has intricate red markings covering his body and his nails have grown out and turned red as well. He ears, teeth, and eyes are more animalistic in appearance, but its more reminiscent of a feral predator than anything else. He wields a large, red sword that he is able to wield effortlessly despite the fact he has no formal training. Zuijin are warrior-guardians that protect the gates, forcing any who wish to bring harm to those inside to go up against them. He seems more mature in this form, though also more easily annoyed.
|| Biography ||
Akira comes from a fairly well-off family, with both of his parents being highly touted members of their particular fields. It is due to this however that Akira has grown quite accustomed to an empty house, never really seeing his parents as they were often off gallivanting around the world on business trips. Beyond that, one could say Akira has had a fairly boring life. Most of what makes him, well him, is nature more so than nurture. From the time he learned he could mouth off, he has found himself getting into some form of trouble. However, he has always been at the top, or at least near the top, of his classes so there was nothing the school could really do. Hell, half the time they couldn't get in touch with his parents, so there wasn't any real way to discipline him except for sending him back to that empty, big house. Despite all this, he doesn't seem to really let it effect him, often inviting friends over and letting people crash there if they needed someplace to run to. Akira was involved in an incident about a year ago that almost ended in someone getting hurt, and it made the rounds in the school for a few good weeks until he finally showed back up for class. Since then he has been fairly quiet, outside of school wise at least. He still mocks teachers, and rubs others the wrong way, but he seems to be settling down, if even just.
Akira doesn't believe in the legend of this shrine, but he was willing to check it out if only to kill some time on yet another boring school function. He doesn't believe in the supernatural as, by his nature, he is a materialist and therefore only believes in what he can see. But, that doesn't mean watching others scare themselves in these dark woods wouldn't be oar for the course with his line of thinking.
