Introduction
The Gym Leaders and Elite Four of the Kyushi Region are meeting to discuss an interesting new threat. A new group has been seen terrorizing the resident trainers of Kyushi. This new group is collecting information on the whereabouts of some of the most powerful legendary pokemon, their plan is unknown, but it can't be good. So far they have managed to capture Zapdos, Darkrai, and Latias. Although the capture of legendaries is horrible, the worst part is that the world renowned pokemon master, Red has been spotted assisting team Koden in their attempts to capture these legendary pokemon, however the pokemon under Red's command are not the ones he used in his prime.
Perhaps the most terrifying aspect is that legendary Kanto Gym Leader Blue attempted to stop Red in during the attempt to capture Zapdos. Eyewitnesses claim that Red held up a ball, that appeared to be a pokeball and Blue simply stopped fighting and assisted team Koden. It is unkown how this happened but it is clear that team Koden is dangerous, and they have the backing of two of the strongest trainers alive today. Can the Kyushi gym leaders stop them before it's too late?
The device Red held.

As Gym leaders you will have type based teams.
You all have six pokemon at the beginning of the RP of course you are allowed to catch new pokemon as we RP.
In order to handle challenges to your Gym (probably won't happen much in the RP, but we need to keep up appearances. Gym leader's teams must have 3 pokemon that correspond to your selected type. The other three are open to your choice.
The Elite Four and Champion have different rules.
They have the option of following the Gym leader type based rules or you may choose to have a varied type team.
If you take the second option your team MUST have a central theme built around.
Examples include: Weather, Trap Passing, Gravity, and Trickroom.
You will not be allowed to use any mega stones, and thus no mega pokemon. Mega stones are freaking rare and we are nowhere near the Kalos region. However if you can convince me that your character came across a mega stone, and I approve of how it adds to your team as a whole, and I am in a good mood, you might be allowed to have on.
You may have at maximum 1 shiny pokemon on your team, they are rare as balls, but they do exist. Just make it special please.
Types may be used twice, so long as they are not the sole focus of one team. (the types used by a trainer specializing in two types, the way shishio and I have, may be used by another trainer so long as they do not repeat a type combination)

Re: The Kyushi Problem
I'm still adding bits and pieces there, but I'm hoping to have it finished soon. Work has me a little lacking in the urge to write for deadlines. Not that there was a deadline here, but still. xD
Anywho, expect it to be finished soon.

Re: The Kyushi Problem
I changed my mind and as long as your team has an overall theme to it, you can do what you want. For example, although all of Sebastian's pokemon are Fire/Grass, the theme of the team is Sun Abuse.
Re: The Kyushi Problem
Also I thought our team set was more strict...kinda frees things up. Was debating of essentially rolling Ice/Water since I thought we were somewhat following the whole mono thing the games follow...but now we're talking fun things.
Also you know damn well if I'm rolling Ice I'm grabbing me a 32 turn min Walrein stall.
I don't care if I end up Elite Four or Gym Leader

Also, get this, Talonflame is useful! Put him in sand teams to answer grass typed threats. He has a choice banded, priority Brave Bird. That's right, it's a priority speed, 180 base power move, off of 425 attack. Have you shit yourself yet? Combine him with. Wash-Tom, Excadrill, and either sand enducer. Let the havoc ensue.

Now by all means anyone interested can feel free to use it. I just personally don't like that my team actually has to try to beat it.... lol
Re: The Kyushi Problem
The idea is simple. All you so is maintain extremely harsh offensive momentum with the moves volt switch and u-turn. You boost these lovely moves with baton-passing strategies, and you create a team that shreds through anything like a chainsaw. Lemme give you an example of an offensive core form such a team; a setter/lead, a physical sweeper, and a special sweeper.
Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
EVs: 252 spdef, 176 def, 80 hp
Trait: Poison Heal; Careful Nature.
~Roost
~Stealth Rock
~ U-Turn
~ Taunt
Standard bulky Gliscor, eh? WRONG! With a decent attack stat, access to some of the best stalling moves in the game, and the ability to turn, Gliscor becomes the ultimate hair-pulling-out annoyance! Not only will he have your opponents enraged beyond all belief, but this nasty little devil also has the keen perk of setting you up to sweep. Taunt keeps you from being screwed over by entry hazards, and can help you to out-stall tankier threats. What's worse than having a taunted, poisoned Infernape lead? Having it take a chunk of damage and then facing down a scarfed jolteon, or even worse, a pursuit metagross. What's even better is that u-turn prevents him from becoming complete taunt bait, and allows you to maintain forward momentum even on a bad trade.
Jolteon @ Expert Belt
EVs: 252 sp.att, 252 speed, 4 hp
Trait: Volt Absorb; Nature: Timid
~ Volt Switch
~ Shadow Ball
~ Hidden Power (Ice)
~ Focus Blast
This set on Jolteon absolutely wrecks. Everything here hits incredibly hard, and has almost flawless super effective coverage. Not only can you switch him in on electric attacks, and negate some earlier damage, but you can immediately threaten almost everything in the game with blistering speed, and devastating special attacks. There's not much else to say here. Jolteon is a beast.
Scizor @ Choice Band / Life Orb
EV's: 252 att, 176 sp.def, 80 speed
Trait: Technician; Nature: Adamant
~ Bullet Punch
~ Pursuit
~ U-Turn
~ Superpower/Sword's Dance
This set is one of the best revenge killers in the game. It's excellent natural bulk, fantastic typing, and massive attack stat, combined with hilarious powerful synergy via Choice Band, Technician, and Bullet Punch make Scizor a very dangerous set. Depending on whether you want to sweep or guarantee the kill, Scizor performs well in either slot, hammering fleeing Pokémon with technician boosted Pursuit, and/or outspeeding threats with his powerful, STAB Bullet Punch. Ever since his creation, Scizor has been a devastating presence in Pokémon and it's not just because of how badass he looks.
Your last three slots would be filled with tanks/utility pokés that can baton pass some nasty stuff like sword's dance or belly drum for Scizor, and/or nasty plot/tail glow for jolteon. Throw in some entry hazard support for residual damage, a spinner who can clear the runway for your pokés to take flight, and you'll have a nasty team that is hyper aggressive, capable of sweeping the match out from beneath your opponent's feet.
Re: The Kyushi Problem
As for weather, there are a couple of fun things you could do. Assault Vest T-Tar is a better special tank than blissey. The only reason she still outclasses him is her ability to softboiled. Otherwise, Specially defensive, assault vest t-tar takes 17% from a modest, spec'd Latios's Draco Meteor in the sand. You read correctly. 17%. Also, since they fixed/nerfed weather duration, Excadrill gets to play some more. Throw in your usual cadre of skarmory/gliscor, lucario, garchomp, etc. and you get some pretty fun times.
Also, since they fixed Drought/Drizzle, D-Dance, Swift Swim, physical attacker Kingdra is back. Him, coupled with choice banded, Scizor can sweep teams. Toss in a special Jolteon to abuse that thunder and absorb electric attacks and your core is looking solid. Also, since fairy is weak to poison, black sludge/drain punch/dry skin Toxicroak is fucking BACK! All the health forever! Thanks to rain dish, Ludicolo and Tentacruel make for pretty hilarious stallers in the rain, and forteress, the best setter in the game, loves the reduction of fire damage. All in all, as usual, rain got all the good toys. :P
Hail is still lawlsy as fuck, but it hasn't gotten anything really outstanding as far as new shit. Walrien is the undisputed king of stall, blizzards from Spec'd Glaceon are still hilarious, and Froslass is still a real bitch.
You have lots of new toys to choose from, so do some research, and ask for my help if necessary. XP
