It was early night, a large ship laid anchored near the shore. On the shore were tents and a scattered fire pits. The men's skin around the fires were black from coal dust. They had spent the whole day delivering coal to the islands in their kingdom's domain. They had decided to spend the night at Crag rock island, but one of the more secluded parts of it. Outside the largest tent a man in a "posh" outfit but covered in bandages sat in front of what could only be described as a portable pipe organ. One of the sailor walked up to him.
"Mr. Zergof, why don't you play us a song?"
"I don't play in public"
"Come on, Mr. Zergof, you are damn good. I hear you playing in your quarters" said a another sailor, getting up from the fire nearest to them and standing next to the first.
" I tell you as I told him, I don't play in public"
" Then why did you bring that ashore sir?" Soon, all eight others from the fire nearest to them joined the throng in front of Aaron.
"Fine, fine. I'll play a song if it will make you happy." Aaron play a few notes, and one of the sailors, knowing the song, took his strumstick off his back and started to play with him. Aaron started to sing with the song his was playing.
"O I thought I heard the old man say, leave her, Johnny, leave her! Tomorrow ye will get your pay, an' it's time for us to leave her!" then the sailors joined in on the chorus "Leave her, Johnny, leave her! Oh, leave her, Johnny, leave her! For the voyage is long an' the winds don't blow, an' it's time for us to leave her! Oh the wind was foul an' the sea ran high, leave her, Johnny, leave her! She shipped it green an' none went by, an' it's time for us to leave her! Leave her, Johnny, leave her! Oh, leave her, Johnny, leave her!
For the voyage is long an' the winds don't blow, an' it's time for us to leave her! I hate to sail on this rotten tub, leave her, Johnny, leave her! No grog allowed and rotten grub, an' it's time for us to leave her! Leave her, Johnny, leave her! Oh, leave her, Johnny, leave her! For the voyage is long an' the winds don't blow, an' it's time for us to leave her! We swear by rote for want o' more, leave her, Johnny, leave her! Oh now we're through so we'll gone on shore, an' it's time for us to leave her!Leave her, Johnny, leave her! Oh, leave her, Johnny, leave her!For the voyage is long an' the winds don't blow, an' it's time for us to leave her!
