Ironsguard, a name well known through the land Of Xetraylia. The Home of The Band Of Hunters guild, the people who risk their life everyday to slay the beasts of the land for simple fame, to protect the people, for money, or for other reasons. Regardless, everyone from the guild are specialized in dealing with the creatures that roam the land, no matter how big or how small they are ready at a moments notice.

As the moon set, slowly replaced by the sun. The Hunter walked through the dimly lit streets, however something seemed to stalk the streets, slowly following him in the darkness. As The Hunter walked up to the front of the guild, the creature slowly rose from behind him. A massive form, as big as a small house rose from behind him. Its putrid flesh was covered is a mess of grey hair covered with blood, its massive claws seemed sharp enough to level buildings, hundreds of small eyes dotted the creatures face along with a massive set of razor sharp teeth. The creature lunged at the man from behind however the sound of a sword cut through the air, the creature suddenly stopped in place. The Hunter had appeared right behind the beast with his sword drawn before sheathing it.

The massive creature fell into two pieces, cut in half from the center. The creature lay dead, its attempt to kill its prey had failed horribly. It had decided to pick the man responsible for the death of hundreds of beasts in three days and nights. The Hunter simply smiled under his hat. "So much for a early warm up...Time to see if the new Hunters are going to show up." The man spoke unfazed by the creature as he walked around the beast and entered the guild.

Baleful landed lightly on his feet about 10 paces from the door. He watched from concealment nearby as the had struck down the beast with seemingly ease. This would be wonderful place to acquire new skills and hone the ones he already had on even larger prey. The nearby blood pooling from the beast shone as the moon left from behind the clouds revealing the carnage in a more menacing way than before.

He walked past the beasts his footsteps not making a sound in the stillness of the night until it came to opening the door and entering the guild hall. This will be a challenge for sure and maybe there will be some stronger opponents within the guild itself to fight as well.

Since settled in for a fair while now Apan had a small number of wards spread across town. Yet his knowledge on managing the confluence of them was yet lacking. The man clad in rough dim yellow robes walked with unhurried steps to the guild from down the street. Thick suitcase in one hand the other a staff with embedded gyroscope. Something in the metal object wriggled atop the stave in each bouncing step. Once at the corpse he shook the gyroscope to clear its memory. Quick to work he set the suitcase down and opened it.

Inside the suitcase tools organized quite tight: hardwood blades, jars, reagent wraps, and other minutiae. His crossbow with bolts of careful engraving can nestled in the lid among the blades. He'd come prepared with his tools to the guild how fortuitous a specimen would be here already.

A few blades, bottles, and sluices emerge from the trunk. The task at hand to drain some of the creature. Perhaps to remove anything left of its heart. His wooden blades less cut flesh than carved a rotted tear through it but sharp to flesh they were. Apan grunted at the creature's tough skin while trying to make the first incision. He stopped to get a mallet for the bones. Grunting as he tries to push through,"You'll have no need of your body anymore, creature. Or at least I have more use for it than you."

Mahina held the star pendant around her neck as she walked onto the street in time to see someone walk into where the guild was. A person, or at least he hoped was a person, was bent down by the slain monster with a suitcase near. "The hell?" She whispered as she made her way over. Her right hand slid back to Shadow Moon, just in case it wasn't a human, but what kind of human looked like some wrapped up creature?

"Or at least I have more use for it than you."

She heard the voice of a male. "Uhm..." She said, trying to figure a way around him. "Just...take uhm....your time." She spoke softly, if at all. She wasn't really used to talking to human strangers. Where she lived was large enough to attract some attention, but small enough for everyone to know each other.

Baleful heard the talking outside not to mention the pairs of footsteps. This was turning into a wonderful evening, it looked like there was more fun to be had.He held his breath, his body simply vanished as he opened the door back out onto the street. This would give anyone a second thought on how the door opened. He quickly stepped out his feet moving around the blood making sure to leave no trace of where he was moving. The clock was one for him before he ran out of time for his invisibility.

His movements took him into the shadows of a nearby alley where he slowly let his breath go in a slow manner to suppress the sound. Here he could watch the other two recruits and maybe test their skills before they entered.

A Distance from IronsGuard, On the very Outskirts of Beast controlled land a large individual is sat upon a stone

Rafar Didn't wish to rise from his overly comfortable place, He was gently resting his head on his claws, yet he could not stop thinking he was getting too old. he never felt this tired in his younger years. Also, He had quite a good outlook over the land. And even if he couldn't see the residence of Humans he knew exactly what was happening, Perhaps you could call it Intuition. "The sheep are gathering, Equipping themself with fangs..." He slowly murmured in the Language of Beasts, Suprisingly his voice sounded peaceful and gently, Despite How broken and rugged his voice appears when speaking human. "Sheperd by their Champion they come wishing to chase away the predators. Perhaps they will succed." He shook himself in what could only be called a small laugh "The sheep are coming, armed with fangs, Sheperd by a champion... What a tale right?"

Amid separating major layers of skin from sinew Apan stopped for a moment to remove his face mask. His was an exotic face framed in shoulder length sandy blonde hair from some forgotten desert region. With blue eyes? Or teal perhaps? The longer one looked and blinked at him the harder it was to pin down the exact shade. The whole of his face had a similar feeling like something had changed. The only constant was thin pale lichtenberg figures, like those hit with lightning strikes, running up from below the neckline of his robe. It was difficult to tell when they rearranged his tanned skin ever so slightly the instant out of sight.

Apan offered a smile and a free hand that somehow forgot the soiling blood on the way over, "A pleasure to meet you, lady warrior. As long as your beauty and metal someday bring me more specimen I'll not disparage either. This one is still warm I assume our benefactor is inside."

Thumb-clamped scalpel hand weaved through his auburn hair Apan curled one side of his smile, "One wouldn't want to go into the dark without having an idea of what's there. Thus I seek knowledge! Are you here to make an implement of it?"

Out of the corner of Rafar's eye, the yawning rays of the setting sun glinted off a humanoid's pauldron. As the somewhat polished reflections approached they also varied in their direction and brightness, sometimes not reflecting at all. Their footsteps crackled and rustled along the unpaved ground with no intention of going unheard. There was no fear or hesitation in the slow and methodical crescendo of footsteps. With the beast's final query, the child of ash offered a response.

"Too much credit is given to the vermin, I'm afraid," Lidia drove her greatsword down several inches into the dirt, leaning her palms on the crossguard, "hunters are ineffective at best, cornered rats in a field of helpless mice. Tell me, how many times have you been able to tear into a village whilst the hunters stayed in their inns and watched, only to fall just as quickly as the rest when they finally do help?"

Dear Sir Hunter,

Do you know of the plight of man, or have you grown so blind in your profession? A war within and a war without, such is the plight of man. In my youth I wasted my fury on who instead deserved my pity. Age has enlightened me, made me sober, humbled and hardened me. I have watched in silence and studied. They, man that is, see the monsters with gnashing teeth and flesh rending claws, but are blind to the ones that stand next to them every day, but I am not blind. They feed upon purity, upon innocence, upon the weak and poor. I feed upon these man monsters, these defilers, these child killers.

I do not hate you, sir Hunter, I question you, you are one who lights my curiosity. Do truly believe you can create a better world? Will you come against me, like others have before you? I too have a cause I believe in, and I believe that I am needed. This wretch I've slain, the head of whom I've planted this note upon is one Ungar Larkwood, guilty of luring several wayward youth into his web. I believe capital punishment is the appropriate judgement for his crimes. In his basement you will find the remains of his victims. I could not bare to count them all. Pray for their souls, sir hunter, but waste not one on this vile thing. Be cautious, sir hunter, else that which will kill you may be among you already.

With love,
Beau Geste Bellatroix

With her clawed fingers she wrote her letter upon parchment, eyes glinting in candle light, blood gleaming upon the boards at her feet. The house of the man had windows covered in now blood splattered curtains. They were there to prevent any witnesses, but they had served the same purpose in his own demise. In rags Bellatroix was dressed, in the form of a fair young maiden of dark descent, dirty yet lovely. She had lured him using his weakness, brought into the his home, thinking he would have his way and dispose of her, had instead become a fly in her own web. His headless body lays upon the ground, his head placed neatly upon his own dining table. She draped the note down over his head, blew out the candles, and turns out the door letting in the golden light of the dawning sun. Her midnight black hair flowing behind, glistening, and her head downcast.

It took moments as she left the scene before a bystander peeked in upon the carnage, and then proceeding to scream in horror. Bellatroix was gone before anyone could point a finger, off away from the streets of Ironsguard. In the outskirts she had sensed a convergence of forces, one quite old and familiar, the other newer, vaguely human and smelling of wood ash and burnt flesh that gave her pause. Wretched smell that is, why did she have to be here? When she arrived she raised a brow putting on a curious expression.

"Now, isn't this a curiosity," she says is a charming tone. With wet cracks and pops a barbed tail came forth from the base of her spine, striped in black and white, wrapping it around her ankles to make her inhumanity known. "Contemplating your next hunt, sir Rafar? And you, miss Lidia, still unable to find peace?"

As The Hunter was fixing up some papers, he heard voices coming from outside the guild building. He guessed it was the new recruits coming to try our in becoming a hunter, he was glad that there was already a group of people already eager to join the Guild. However the sounds of a scream echoes through the quiet streets and immediately he knew something had happened. Once he set his papers, we walked over to the door and placed a simple trap, a simple rope that would snare the first Hunter that would trigger it. It was a small test for them.

Once the trap was set, he walked outside the guild building and saw a small group of three people outside of it. "So you are all the new hunters that applied to join the guild, once you all get to know each other wait inside the guild. I am going to investigate what that scream was all about." The Hunter spoke as he ran in the direction where he heard the scream.

There were only two reasons why a monster would be in the city, they were either foolish enough to think they can get a free meal. Or a rather smart monster had entered the city. Whichever it was he was prepared to eliminate it. Once he arrived at the source of the scream, he could already smell a familiar iron smell. Blood, someone had been killed. He slowly entered the house just as the sun was now covering the land, and inside he saw a head sitting on a dining table with a note stuck to it.

The sight was disturbing however The Hunter remained calm since this was not his first time seeing some bizarre things. He took the note off the head and read what it said. It was a strange letter addressed to him, almost like whoever killed this man knew he would be the first on the scene. It also stated how this man was a killer, his victims in the basement. The latter also warned him that a human would possibly kill him. He knew whatever killed this man was a monster, a smart one at that. It was true that criminals still roamed the land, monsters living among the cities while most people focused their efforts on the beasts that lurked outside. With a sigh, he pocketed the letter and left the house for the morning soldiers to clean it up. He was not sure why a monster would take justice in its own hands, but he would not brood over it. He walked back to the guild to see if the recruits were prepared, or even if one of them was snared.

Rafar quietly observed his two new Arrivals, He could not yet muster enough will to rise from his place instead keeping his gentle posture. I will have to answear that question of yours later, Ashen one.. His tone remained calm and soft, He called her Ashsen One as he so does love his nicknames and metaphors. ... but you should not forget the "Champion" the Sheep has acquired, you should know, And you should acknowledge it. His tired eyes shifted to Bella. He did really enjoy her company, her age was something to be respected, he doubted if even his age could rival her... My Next Hunt? Nothing so fancy.. If there is anyone to be contemplating hunting it would be you, No? Did you enjoy your trip to the humans?

Rafar's gaze then swithced back out over the land, watching the last rays of sun disappear, Only for shadows to take its place. Did you perform a slaughter? or maybe you showed mercy, Wich you seem to fancy so much... His claws clicked indignantly against eachother

Still, Rafar was happy for the company, even if it would become the more.. "Aggresive" Sort...

Mahina blinked at the strange man. "Uhm...call me Mahina, please." She spoke softly. What he was doing was actually a smart idea, but being she focused more on her strength in body than in mind. Her body shifted and her hand dropped from Shadow Moon. "Did...you get a lot? I mean of what you need...that is." She said while sort of sighing at the end. She thought she sounded stupid. She rarely talked at home, yet she felt she was blabbering away with a complete stranger.

Stepping back, she gave the man his room, or rather she gave herself some room. The smell of death slowly started to form. "That is actually pretty sm-" She was interrupted by a lady's scream. Her body swung around into a fighting stance, her hand on Shadow Moon once again. "The hell.." She whispered.

Lidia turned her head towards the witch when she spoke, eventually turning back towards the city overlooked by the group's vantage point. She sighed at the witch's addressing of her, she shouldn't have needed to even ask.

"There will never be peace, you should know that. Try being burned at the stake some time, you'd understand why I'm so upset." She raised an eyebrow at Rafar's appraisal of this new hunter. "What has you so concerned? Don't fool yourself, he is but a man. Has age softened you that much?"

As the daylight waned, the child of ash gripped the handle of her weapon with both hands and slowly heated the blade until it provided a warm glow that could illuminate the three.

"Let him come. I fear no man."

"Well isn't today going to be fun, it's been less than an hour and someone has already been murdered." Baleful stepped from the shadows of the alley looking at the other two from under his hood.

He truthfully didn't see much in them, they could of been fun targets to hunt if he had stuck to his old profession but they would not have last long against him. The woman carried some unwieldy double ended pole arm that looked more decorative then it did functional. The other man he didn't get quite a good luck at but he presumed him to be of a more scientific or magical nature as he was digging around the corpse.

Erebus took a place near the now closed guild door watching the other two and waiting to see if the master hunter returned.

"Mercy, sir Rafar, mercy is something deserved or something earned through penance," she responds in a tone both serious and coy, kneeling down and wiping her claws against the dirt in effort to clean them. "I will say simply that a man-beast thought himself trapping a rabbit, but instead caged himself with a tiger, so to speak. The human wretch had the gall to keep trophies of his kills, all poor creatures that he easily overpowered, guided by some twisted sentiment. There was no room for mercy today, sir Rafar."

She collected her thoughts with a sigh and looked over her claws to see if they were clean. She exudes a kind of righteousness, far less a pleasure in her words and motions, as if she had done a service, a justice. Her attention was then turned back to Lidia, blade now aglow with bright warm light. She sighed again at the revenant's words. The old beast wasn't insensitive to the burned woman's suffering, but the sheer thought of charred flesh was one of few things to make her retch.

"Two things, child," she says courteously. "First, over my long life I have been impaled, eviscerated, bludgeoned and even burned. Second, I feel at times you only torture yourself in reliving that moment over and over."

She stares out in the horizon. "As for sir Hunter, I rather not be so quick to judge or engage him... if it can be helped, that is."

Rafar moved slightly, The stone was by far not the most comfortable thing, But the view was worth it. He continued looking out over the landscape as he spoke. We all have our weaknesses, Ashen One, You are not very skilled at hiding yours. You should never reach the point when bravery tips into recklessness. Rafar's dark eyes suddenly shifted, Only for a short moment and only so that someone very skilled would notice it, He was reminiscing about something. It will then only be a question of time until someone breaks straight trough that flimsy shield.

Rafar's gaze quickly returned to normal as he directed himself towards Bella, Clearly attempting to switch the subject The Humans have their own beasts.. Yet these beasts can only challenge the weak. The black sheeps, ones who dream to be wolves. Yet these black sheeps are so different they just become bigger targets. Especially for the ones like you Black Bella. Rafar usually uses Bella's oldest name, Perhaps in an attempt to remind her about his age. But I can only agree with your last point, The Champion of Sheep, Is someone not to be Underestimated

Brown hair swayed as Apan nodded at the nervous Mahina with a cordial smile. Then a new victim screams from somewhere turned far too dark. Apan picked his hand crossbow out of the suitcase replacing a jar inside as the body dripped its last bits of monstrous ichor. As the hunter walked past he made a half bow content with the Mahina on guard to get what remained of his flesh sample to a jar of formaldehyde. He put his weapon down by his side and finished separating the square of flesh. Into the jar of formaldehyde is plunked creating a sickening color. Apan hastily screwed the lid on and looked over at Mahina on guard.

Far too much excitement beamed from his green eyes and voice, "Another body perhaps? I'll need to make a proper morgue! The bodies will sour far too quickly!"

Apan's pale face and mismatched blue/green eyes fixed on Bale, "You look like a good supplier! No human bodies however I've no interest in studying them unless they were struck down by hands of nonhuman beings."

Wooden tools and jars clonked as Apan filled his suitcase again. They were all somehow already dry of ichor.

As The Hunter returned to the guild building, he noticed that all the hunters were still outside. He had clearly gave them an order which they did not follow. "Either you all are really trying to know every single little thing about each other, or you all were busy when I gave the order to wait in the guild. As punishment, your first training session will be hell on earth. First, everyone get settled in the guild now! I have important information about tactics and skills about your fellow hunters. And how to use them to your advantage." With that said, The Hunter entered the guild and gracefully avoided the snare he had placed there. He then sat behind a desk and began to wait for the rest of the hunters to settle in.

Lidia suppressed a sneer at the comments from the other two. Cowards, softened by age and petty politics. It sickened her to see beasts fall prey to the same games of status and power that the humans stoop to. Now it didn't surprise her that a new hunter was able to cause a stir for the monsters, if this apathy is what they were up against.

"On another note, if this allegedly terrifying hunter is gathering a flock, why are we waiting? Would't it be best to strike early while they are still unprepared and weak, instead of waiting and letting them grow stronger?"

"I could point you to a few unmarked graves if you're interested or to a couple bogs where I lead some overly confident warriors to their end." His face was covered but his head was turned to Apan as he answered.

The returning Hunter caught Balefuls eye but he did not flinch at the mans voice or mere presence walking by him. He gave his own answer to the Hunter as he walked past.

"So you were going to take it easy on us? I didn't come here to be babysat in the first place. Now at least we get to see the meaning of what you call hell. I'm a harsh judge after all." Baleful had a very cold uncompromising tone that held tinges of violence dripping from every word.

Baleful entered the building as well stepping around the snare.

Bellatroix had long grown weary of it, this repugnant animosity, she had her fill of it from beast and human over a millennia, she had her fill of it from herself. The fiery woman radiates with it as much as her flames do, the kind of hatred that knows no neutrality, that would consume anything in its path regardless of guilt. It was depressing, for the future of Lidia to either succeed and live in a dead world, or die a second time. Will you ever be satisfied child? At least age has given Rafar some level of tranquility.

"I never implied he was terrifying, contrary to it, he is intriguing," she responds with a calm tone. "He is just entering latter half of his thirties... which may not seem much for us, or a common man, for hunters that usually die young, it isn't something to scoff at. But..."

She draws her arms out, her tail's barbs retracting and then returning into her back with a crack, her long claws reducing to human hands, and her height increasing as her body ages forward from a child into an older woman. She warps particles of earth around her and weaves them into her clothes to turn the rags into a dark earthy colored dress before being stained violet by releasing a small amount of her toxic miasma. Her hair seemed to come alive, twisting themselves behind her into a ponytail, and allowing two curly bangs to hang down the front of her face. Within seconds she had transformed fully from a beggar girl into a grown noble woman.

"I do think I will take a closer look to satiate a curiosity," she says somewhat cryptically with a continued calmness. "Do what you feel you must, I suppose."

With this she leaves them on her way back to Ironsguard, with her destination set near the Hunter's guild. She knew better than to head within the door, even in her human guise she wasn't entirely sure what security was placed, if there was any, not putting off the possibility of some magical detection. For now, at least, she would observe inconspicuously by the pole of a street lamp and size the recruits.

Rafar Payed Bella's exit no attention, He gently moved his head back to stare out over the landscape again. I never can stop you when you feel adventorous, I have lost that feeling myself. But I warn you Again Black Bella, I have fought that Sheperd. He can not be considered a normal human, I warn you both. His body suddenly tensed, His claws digging deep into the stone I do not become this.. "Cowardly" That easy, And I hope you do not take my worries lightly. Good Hunting to you.

He then, allowing Bella to leave shifted himself backwards, Moving off his position to the stone to instead approach Lidia. Well... Approach might be the wrong as he simply nonchalantly positioned himself to face her Now. You are not as "Mercyful" as my dear Black Bella. You wish to go and fight them head on? Finish this before anything can come out of it? He then moved himself upwards, Rearing back on his hind legs, Exposing his Twisted chest and arms, He easily towered above Lidia, Like The Pure monster he is. The ashen knight stood firm to the animal's gestures. Typical, such a simple and brutish creature would try to use size to intimidate her, to gain dominance as if a pack animal. Lidia gazed into Rafar's eyes, unblinking as she finally spoke.

"Do not threaten me, beast. You try to keep us from this hunter for what? Pride? Fear that you will lose your dominance if one of us bests him?" The revenant lifted her weapon from the soil, its blade glowing brighter resembling steel in a forge, and a blistering heat radiating from it. The formerly cool and dark forest perch now illuminated fully with this new flame, as if a scorching desert sun bore down upon the small cliff overlook.

"You hunt humans for sport and entertainment, so you hold back. Being defeated by some half-rate hunter is just a consequence of that," she raised her weapon and pointed its tip towards Rafar for emphasis. She then swiped her blade down to her side in a flicking motion as if removing blood, almost instantly extinguishing the blade and snuffing out any glow it previously emitted.

"The difference between you and I," the burned woman turned about-face and took a few steps away from the beast, "is that I do not hunt my foes, I destroy them."

Lidia began to walk away again. Where she formerly stood a circle several feet in diameter was devoid of life, all of the vegetation seared to ash.
