Ellard

More and more people arrived, lining up behind him, and he quickly skittered off to the side after taking his key. "Room..room 209," he repeated.

He turned to the right, still feeling somewhat faint as he climbed the stairs, his porter behind him. He found the room quickly--after all, they were marked, as the lady had said--and turned the key. Peering inside, he found he was the first to arrive.

The porter dropped off the trunk and left, without much of a goodbye to Ellard. The boy sniffed, but said nothing as well. It was just as he thought, anyways. They were only trying to get rid of him. Well, the feeling was certainly mutual! At least...somewhat...

He chose the bed away from the window, instinctively, for fear of snipers, but then fumbled back and forth on whether he wanted a view or not...

Well he finally thought as he sat on the original bed he had picked, his weight barely causing the mattress to dip, I'm sure I can just glance out the window when I'm awake without my roommate minding...better safe than sorry in either case...

With that settled, he unpacked, filling his drawers with maps and the sort he had brought along with him. He was indifferent towards the clothes provided in the closet, although he was indifferent towards all clothes, and once he finished unpacking he reclined on his bed, notebook and pen in hand as he set about marking up his new itinerary.

Jasper

Jasper stifled a laugh. The look of disapproval from The Chatelaine was too much, perhaps if their was anything his family was known for, it was their desperate desire for their family name to be well versed and renowned, that just seemed to tick everyone off. Once he received his key he made his way away from the woman, not having any questions to ask. Regretfully, he allowed himself to be subdued by his family's servants in the argument for whether or not they could bring his stuff up the stairs.

Luckily enough, they allowed him to at least hold the door for them, which he soon closed once they left...which unfortunately was not until they unpacked all of his things for him, despite however personal they may have been, his parents even had to keep up appearances in his dorm room apparently. He sighed once the servants were gone, turning to see his roommate in his bed, writing something...perhaps it was a journal of some sort?

Jasper smiled slightly, he remembered seeing the skittish boy when The Chatelaine nodded to him...Ellard Donahue was his name if he remembered correctly. He was pretty sure that family's name had some pretty good social standing, not that he cared much...although he did contemplate acting like a complete fool to spite his parents, he assumed he'd probably end up doing stupid anyways.

Silently, he moved over to the bed opposite of the other boy, sitting onto it and listening to the faint creaks. He smiled again before staring out the window, taking in the great view, opening the window slightly to let a light breeze into the room. He waited for a moment, before deciding it was about time he introduced himself. "Hello, I'm Jasper Salvatore, I guess we're roommates then," he said with a small smile.

Ellard

His roommate was quiet, which was good. He thought...he looked up when the boy introduced himself. A good thing, too, because Ellard had forgotten when the old lady had originally told him. He gave a nervous smile. "Hello," he replied, "I'm Ellard."

No sooner had he finished talking when a scream suddenly pierced the air. Ellard jumped quite a bit, eyes wide. "Wh-what was that?" he asked, voice high and cracking. What had happened? Was this school not safe as he thought? He definitely didn't want to investigate, but...he hoped it wasn't anything serious!

Then again, that scream had been so blood-curling...he gripped his notebook tightly, sweating nervously.
