Introduction
That note was written by a girl named Katherine many years back. It had been fifty-four years, now after she had transitioned into a vampire. In 1866 to be exact was when the note was written and now it has been one hundred and fourty seven years since that was written. It was a diary entry expressing her bottled up feelings after so long. It had all started like stated in the letter on a beautiful summer's day. Katherine was of noble status while he was a boy working in the slums for bread and a few mere coins to survive off of. She witnessed him bein beaten by a few older boys. She came to his rescue and the carriage driver helped to scare them away. Katherine was only eleven at the time of their meeting but even for her young age and him but a year older there was a connection between them. Katherine had convinced her parents to take him in. Katherine had made sure he was cared for and was kept in the dark about her horrible family life. When he did find out it was a tearful conversation that had ended with them choosing that the world they lived in wasn't the one they wanted to remain in much longer.
Katherine had a pact with him to have their love become everlasting even after their loves ended. In their journey of finding a way to go through with the pact they met a man whom they would later learn was not a human but had the beautiful appearance of one. He was immortal but needed to survive of of blood. They learned he was a vampire and that was when another idea came to mind. They could through with their pact yet still remain alive in some way and stay together forever. The vampire couldn't care less about what they did but still found them interesting in a way. Due to this he gave both of them a vile of his blood and instructed them of what had to be done for them to transition into vampirism. The vampire had taken off without Katherine or her lover knowing. That night they had ingested the blood but before they could fully complete the vampire's instructions he had arrived once again and killed them both. The vampire had stayed there until they awoke as vampires that were parched. He had explained the purpose of the charms he was giving the two lovers. He had given Katherine a necklace and gave her lover a ring to wear. This was to protect them from the rays of the sun that could be proven fatal to them if they did not wear their charms. From then on the vampire had left them for good no longer seeing them as his problem.
At first immortality was like a dream for them. They were thought dead by her so-called parents and lived freely and happly at first. Everything was going great until the townspeople noticed that they hadn't aged a single day. They accused Katherine of witchcraft and tried to kill her. Her lover was in the twons square and hadn't known of her being chased by the townspeople with axes and pitchforks. She was chased out of her own home and ran away as far as she could. Katherine was unable to come back for fear of her life and tried to send letters to her lover but with no reply after a year of hiding she had snuck back into what was her home only to find out he was gone. Katherine had convinced herself that the only reason why he had let was because she let as well. Wracked with guilt she left as quick as she could now heartbroken and numb. Now one-hundred and fourty seven years after such occurences both of them are back in their place of origin unbeknownst of the other's prescence but never able to forget about the other.

Adrian laughed softly as Katherine commented on how excited she thought he was. He smirked, and kissed her neck as he replied gently with "Excited? No, my dear, just proving a point"
He grinned, and then kissed her again, his hands running up her body to entangle themselves in her lusciously golden hair. He tugged playfully, and nipped at her lower lip as he kissed her. Adrian knew how much it would take for him to back down to her, and he doubted that Katherine was that demanding. He knew that she had changed, but she didn't think it was possible for her to have changed that much. He gently scratched her neck with a fingernail, and kissed her harder. Adrian loved Katherine, more than he thought that she knew. She could change as much as she liked, but Adrian knew that he would always love her.
He grinned, and then kissed her again, his hands running up her body to entangle themselves in her lusciously golden hair. He tugged playfully, and nipped at her lower lip as he kissed her. Katherine closed her eyes momentarily lost in the feeling of his lips on her before smirking and opening them. "Really? What point would that be my love?" she asked him. She was genuinely curious but took the oppurtunity to switch their postitions and slammed him into the wall using her inhuman strength and speed.
The scratch he had made had healed almost instantly. She entangled her hands in his hair once again and quickly and teasingly pecked his lips with her own. "I wonder could it be you're trying to prove I'm yours? Or maybe who really holds full dominance." she added and began walking backwards until she plopped down on her bed. It was a way to tease him but a way to see how qick he'd come to her.

He smirked, and accepted the peck without reacting. He watched as Katherine stepped away from him towards her bed, and pushed back away from the wall when she say down. He knew that she expected him to run straight to her, and he grinned. He wouldn't go to her. Not just yet.
Adrian smiled sweetly, and shook his head as though pitying her, or as if he was disappointed. "Katherine, you're already mine. You just need reminding of that" Adrian lifted his arms above his head and stretched, displaying that he had all the time in the world for this game. He then folded his arms across his chest, and watched her daringly, as if to say 'Your move'.

"I think it's you who wants to be reminded that you're mine." she added and stuck her tongue out at him. "I've never been with anyone else as I've always loved only you. No one could or would compare. So my love what do I need to be reminded of?" she asked him. Katherine had accepted that he could have been with other women and had done god knows what but she wouldn't judge him.
She was numb without him and instead of having herself surrounded by people she isolated herself completely from people. Katherine could never find herself judging him. She loves him and would take him in any state or way and didn't care about how he acted or how much his personality changed by now.

Adrian shook his head slowly, smiling affectionately at the woman who was undoubtedly his. He chuckled gently, and went over to the bed, before kicking off his shoes and climbing on the bed on top of her, holding himself up effortlessly on his elbows. Gently, slowly, Adrian lowered his head to hers and kissed her again softly, just briefly on the corner of her mouth. He pulled his head back and shook his head again, as he murmured to her "Good...My life was nothing without you" His words were true, too. The levels he had sunk to in his depression were shameful, but at least here, he felt that he might find redemption.
He smiled, and then kissed her neck, letting his teeth graze the skin. His tongue brushed the soft skin there, and then he pulled back up to whisper seductively in her ear, "But you do need reminding that, despite everything, I'm still dominant" Adrian grinned teasingly, and placed a restrictive hand on her chest so that she couldn't move.

Katherine smirked once again at him. "We'll just have to see about that won't we." she took hold of his wrist and moved it away from her chest and to distract him quickly enough to flip him over. She was now on top and straddling his waist. 'do try to remember sweetie that we match in strength." she spoke in tone that mirrored his and and bared her fangs. "Also remember that my bite is much worse than my bark." her voice remained the same as she took hold of each of his hands.

Adrian growled as he found himself suddenly beneath Katherine. The growl came from deep in his chest as he looked up at her with endless love. Despite being caught beneath her, he did pause for a moment, and appreciate the view. The sight of her above him made him exhale slowly. She was so beautiful, and right here above him, she looked like some exotic goddess. He smirked, and for now, went along with what she wanted. Not because he felt he had to, but because he wanted to.

Adrian smirked, a brow raised at the challenge. With a low growl, he moved, rolling Katherine so that he was on top of her again. He straddled her, and supported his weight on his hands above her. He leaned down, and with delicate decisiveness, placed a feather light kiss on her neck.
And then, with a ferocity that bordered on aggressiveness, Adrian gripped her wrists and tugged them up above her head. His grip was hard, and his nails hug in just a little. He made sure not to hurt her too much, but the pressure of his finger tips was hard enough to cause a slight ache. Adrian smirked and lowered his head to her ear, a low sound almost like a purr rumbling from his chest as he nibbled on Katherine's ear lobe lovingly. He whispered softly "This is how much control I have right now...But this is nothing. Whenever we're in here, and we're alone, I want you like this. Just like this" Adrian knew that this was a side that she had never seen of him, and he hoped that it wouldn't send her running. He loved her too much, and he loved this too much.

Adrian let his lips brush Katherine's, before she kissed him, and he kissed her back. In that brief contact between their lips, he tried to convey all the hurt, the pain, the longing, the frustration and anger and regret that he had felt over the years that lead him to this moment. But most of all, he tried to convey his love for her. He kissed her passionately, sweetly, roughly, and lovingly. His hands moved to her head, and he ran his fingers through her hair. Adrian's hands shifted, closing his eyes as he kissed her and traced a slow, burning line down the side of her neck to the center of her chest, just as his other hand rubbed her shoulder, and then held her closer to him.

Adrian grinned and kissed her cheek as he fixed his clothing and then followed her downstairs. He held the door open for her, and then walked a pace behind her. From where he was, he had a good view of her hips as they swayed with each step, and her straight back. He smirked, entertaining for a moment the thought of going behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist and setting his lips to her neck. Adrian coughed, pushing the thought aside as he descended the stairs behind her.
At the foot of the staircase, Adrian couldn't help but chuckle. It looked like Katherine's entire coven had congregated in the main hall. There, the vampires were divided into two groups, with two individuals staring at each other in the gap that was created between the two sides.

Katherine's voice cut through the tense silence like a knife, and Adrian smiled. She had changed a lot, but for the better, perhaps. He took his place at her side, staring at those that stared at him, daring them to question him. One of the vampires in the middle turned her gaze on Katherine, and spoke in a low , accusatory growl.
