Description: At 5'4" and 115 lbs, Kira isn't the most sturdy-looking defensive mage. He's small and slender with a body more fitting for a ballet dancer than a combat mage. Like his twin's, his ruddy chestnut hair is fairly long, to his waist. During work or training, it's in a simple braid.

Personality: A bit frustrated that his primary is defensive when he doesn't have the stamina to use it well. Competitive and can be quite stubborn. Bluntly honest at best and snarky at worse, he has a talent for discomfiting the high society-types that surrounded him growing up. Despite this, out of him and Mikasa, he's actually the kinder of the two. Would like to learn the healing secondary, partly because it interests him and partly because he feels frustrated at his weakness as a defensive mage. He's also marginally interested in the Illumination secondary through his twin's influence.

Skills: A mostly useless skill in combat, but to compensate for his lack of physical power, he's become adept at making small shields in a half-sphere around his hands and slamming them in people's faces with varying degrees of force. Adept at creating small shields and manipulating them creatively for non-combative tasks, e.g. in dance, he'll sometimes create shields as barely-visible footholds in the air to aid in acrobatic movements. Other talents include impressive flexibility and a knack for book knowledge. He's fascinated by body structure and would like to learn the healing secondary, but hasn't been allowed to start.

Weaknesses: Lack of stamina (bad quality for a defensive mage) is one; he is also fairly finicky and loses interest in things quickly. Due to this, he has a wide range of seemingly random knowledge, but most of it isn't in-depth enough to be useful. Bad at earnestly connecting with other people and he's pretty socially awkward.

Brief History: Kira and Mikasa are twins born to the main house of an old Italian bloodline known politically as the de Falcone house. Less publicized is their darker roots, as the mafia family that controlled Italy's underworld in days gone by. The de Falcone clan values traditions (or: they won't let go of their roots), and as such most children born to the head house are trained in the two faces of society from a quite young age - entertaining, and killing. For the most part, entertaining entails polite behavior in high society and some form of dance. Kira and Mikasa are both trained in contemporary ballet. Dance teaches discipline, and keeps the body strong, as the saying goes. It also makes for a smooth transition to the killing part of their training. While not so necessary as of modern times, this tradition was strengthened during the war and its subsequent disappearances. A Falcone child of the main household's first taste of real combat usually falls around their 15th year. However, Kira and Mikasa have yet to experience actual, life and death combat.
