  • His intelligence being appreciated
  • Playing the piano
  • Mysteries
  • His intelligence being challenged
  • Smart people
  • Horse-riding

  • Loud, blaring music
  • Rush hour
  • People not paying attention when he is giving a lecture

♦Hobbies♦
He loves to play piano and is rather talented at it.
He adores horse-riding and spends a lot of his time working with horses.
He spends a lot of his time researching his old life, finding out what happened to his friends and family.
He also looks at cases that the police struggle to solve.

♦Secrets♦
He honestly hasn't been in the 21st century long enough to develop any relevant secrets. However, back in his own time, one of his clients, a married, rich woman, had attempted to seduce him. He managed to get away from her, but didn't particularly want that known.

♦Origin of Powers♦
He loved to read as a child, but his intelligence always far extended beyond the average for his age.

♦Power/s♦
He has an eidetic memory and can read far faster than anyone you would normally meet on the street. However, while his abilities are beyond the norm, they are not superhuman. Edward has to fight with a sword, and on occasion, a pistol. His mouth can serve as a weapon as well, however, pinpointing a person's insecurities or secrets and using them against them.

♦Power Weakness♦
He is entirely human. His mind usually runs too fast, leaving him unable to function until he has finished the train of thought. If he's in the middle of a fight, this leaves him vulnerable to attack. It might mean that the heroes save the day, but it usually means that he gets a nasty beating. He also doesn't always deal that well with people, because his mind is constantly trying to analyse them.

♦Strengths and Talents♦
It takes a lot for him to lose his wits. He saw a green alien and continued on like it was just another suspect.
He is an excellent sword fighter, and is a decent enough shot with a pistol as well.
He's naturally fast and agile, meaning he can get to or away from the scene of a fight easily.
He's able to fight on horseback, and is a talented rider.

♦Weaknesses and Flaws♦
He doesn't sleep that well. The only place he can sleep is in the Masked base, where it is quiet.
If he is in the middle of something, there's no point in trying to get him to do anything else until he's finished.
He can't multi-task to save his life.
It takes him a little while to figure out modern technology.

♦Fears and Phobias♦
Big dogs terrify him. It's not just a case of him being nervous around them. If there's one anywhere near him, he will freeze until somebody either drags him or the dog away. If one chases him, it doesn't matter what else he is doing, he is high-tailing it out of there.

Tight spaces make him extremely uncomfortable. He's liable to start spouting whatever is in his head, and slowly deteriorate into panic until he gets out of there.

♦Aspirations♦
He wants to find out what happened to his family and friends, and see if he can track down any of their descendants. Although he would never say it, he's also partially hoping that he can discover a way back to his time.

♦Personality♦
Edward doesn't come across as the nicest person. When you meet him, you'll more than likely receive a stare that feels like he's staring straight into you. He won't shake your hand until he's finished working out as much as he can about you, or until somebody nudges him to snap him out of his reverie. If you attempt to offer any assistance, he will dismiss it out of hand. If you annoy him, even slightly, he's likely to do a little bit of psychoanalysis on you and spout a couple of things you'd rather not hear. If he is in the middle of working something out, or indeed, in the middle of anything important at all, and you attempt to interrupt you, he is liable to turn around and insult you.

However, when you learn to work with Edward, he's much easier to like. He loves to play word games with his co-workers, or issue them puzzles and watch them try to solve it. He frequently plays the piano to relax. He isn't one to tell jokes, and he often overthinks the ones that others tell him. He is a decent enough chef, as long as he doesn't get distracted and end up nearly burning the kitchen down. (It's happened.) He isn't that kind, or sweet. If you went to him crying, he would probably hug you awkwardly and spout a few random facts to try and make you feel better. But when he's not trying to figure you out or yelling at you for interrupting his train of thought, then there's something about him that's likable. He was raised to be a gentleman, and that is something that is stuck with him. He has the highest regard for women. It doesn't matter if he knows them or not, if somebody yells something disrespectful at a woman across the street, he will go over and tell them that their wife is cheating on them, or point out all of their insecurities. He will then go and make sure that the woman is okay.

But if you give Edward any reason to dislike you, then you'd better watch out. He will strive to learn everything about you that he can you use against you. He will insult you in every way he knows how. He turns violent at the drop of a hat. He could pull a knife on you and shove you against a wall after having been laughing with you moments before. Even if he likes you, he is extremely unpredictable. He can be manipulative, and if he needs to use you for his own benefit, he will. He will turn around and abandon you if he needs to, if it benefits him at the end of the day.

♦History♦
Edward was born into one of London's wealthiest families. He was the third in his family. His sister was older by him by two years, and his brother was older than him by four. In any other family, Edward would have been the least favorable. After all, his older brother would be the one to inherit the family's fortunes. His sister would marry another wealthy noble. But Edward's intelligence was prominent from an extremely young age, and his family started to show interest in him. He read every book he could get his hands on. His intelligence just continued to grow.

However, his intelligence meant that he struggled to deal with people. His brother and sister got engaged, but none of the women that he met showed any interest in him, or if they did, he screwed that up in a matter of seconds. His parents became exasperated with him, although he couldn't help it. He was damaging their social standing by analysing every single person he ever met. Even when he was horse-riding, one of the things he loved more than anything, he found himself over-analysing everything he saw.

His father was friends with the head of Scotland Yard. When Edward was seventeen, Scotland Yard encountered a case that they couldn't seem to crack. Out of desperation, the head of Scotland Yard asked Edward's father if Edward would assist them. Edward cracked the case in a matter of days. After this, Edward started taking on seemingly impossible cases. His reputation grew and grew.

Edward Claridge became synonymous with impossible crimes. Nothing surpassed his ability- until a string of strange murders came to his attention. It was the first time that he struggled to deal with a murder. However, he managed to work out the murderer's movement, and apprehended them. He encountered a large, green... thing. He didn't know what to think, but kept going anyway. The thing jumped through a portal, and Edward followed it. He found himself stepping into a new world that he barely recognised. A group of masked heroes awaited him, and he had to help them fight. However, the portal through which he had come was destroyed, leaving Edward stranded on the wrong side.

He was lost for a time. The heroes told him where he was and helped him to readjust. After a little while, he went back to London and got a job as a historical researcher. When he proved himself as somewhat of an expert in the nineteenth century, a coworker asked him to do a guest lecture. He ended up doing the lecture circuit, and became reputed as an expert on the 19th century. He found himself settling in, but still found himself missing the 19th century from time to time.

♦Extra♦
He doesn't drive, as he has lived in London and has never needed to.

"I think she wants to play hide and seek with us Jet." Vixen's voice echoed through the warehouse, carrying easily to where Mira, a.k.a Starfall, stood behind a pyramid of crates catching her breath. "But I'd much rather play something a bit more physical." A wave of anger rushed through Mira, her breath quickened and her fists clenched as the emotion attempted to influence her. Vixen could manipulate emotions of anger in people, intensifying the emotion when even a small amount was present. Mira could only grit her teeth and attempt to subdue the emotion, knowing that to give in would only help to feed Vixen's strength. Vixen and Jet Black, two supervillains who Mira knew to be part of the infamous Legion, roamed through the warehouse, searching for the hero who had come to stop their crime. Mira had been the closest to the robbery when HQ picked up the police call and had been the first to arrive, running right into Vixen and Jet Black as they attempted to make their getaway through the docks.

"I could use a bit of backup here." Mira whispered quietly, her hand touching the communication device in her ear. All the Masked members wore the communication devices. Wherever they were, whatever they were doing, they would get the message and unless they were busy somewhere else, Mira was confident that her fellow heroes would hear her call for help and arrive as reinforcements as soon as possible. She took another breath, readying herself for action. She could hear both Vixen and Jet getting closer. The echo of their footsteps somewhat distorted Mira's ability to pinpoint their proximity, but Vixen's constant stream of provoking insults gave Mira a fairly accurate idea of how close they were to her.

"I'll give you one more chance to surrender." Mira shouted, her voice loud and clear in the warehouse. "Accept and no one will get hurt." Mira didn't truly believe that the villains would surrender so easily, but as with everything she had to try a peaceful solution first. Only once she had explored other methods would she resort to violence. In answer to her statement she felt another spike of anger, which she subdued with a deep breath and gritted teeth. A movement to her left caught her eye and Mira turned to see Jet Black emerging from a patch of shadows. His answer was just as clear as Vixen's as he sent a wave of shadow-spikes flying towards Mira. Mira leaped out of the way, throwing a ball of light at the villain. Dark spikes and light sphere collided in mid-air, each swallowing the other in a bizarre dance of light and darkness. Before Jet could throw another attack Mira grabbed a stream of light falling through the broken roof. In the blink of an eye ten identical copies of Mira appeared, each as visually believable as the next. Each ran in different directions, distracting Jet while the real Mira made for the cover of another stack of crates.

"What a nice little trick." Jet's voice dripped contempt and even as Mira made for the cover of the crates, a wave of darkness washed over herself and her doubles, destroying her illusions and throwing herself back into an inactive lorry. The lorry, a large metal machine made for moving large numbers of the wooden crates at once, buckled slightly as Mira hit it. Her bruises would heal in minutes, the lorry would take far longer to fix. As Mira pushed herself from the machinery Vixen emerged from the shadows behind Jet, a small collection of sharp knives in her hand, "You know, you look human enough on the outside. But I've always wondered what an alien looks like on the inside. Perhaps I'll find out today." Vixen smirked as she taunted Mira and in one smooth motion she sent three of the knives flying towards her. Mira threw up her hand and a wall of light expanded from her outstretched fingers, growing to cover Mira as the knives sped towards her heart. Each knife hit the wall of light with a soft thunk before clattering to the ground. Before the last knife had hit the concrete Mira flung her other hand out, sending a beam of light energy towards Vixen. The villain didn't have time to dodge the attack, and with a surprised gasp Vixon was thrown across the warehouse and into a pile of crates.

At the same time Jet, showing no concern whatsoever for his team-mate, threw a stream of darkness at Mira. Tendrils of shadow wrapped around her hands and arms, pinning them to her sides. Outside the warehouse Mira could feel the sun setting and the last rays of sunlight slowly disappearing. As the night approached Jet's powers only increased, while Mira's usually weakened. Which made it particularly hard to break free of his shadow chains. Mira wiggled ineffectively, trying to break the bonds. "Can we kill her already? Or are you just going to watch her struggle?" Vixen spat, pulling herself out of the crates and wiping a trail of blood from her forehead. "If you don't have enough balls to do it, let me. It'll be my pleasure." The vindictive smile had returned to her face as she walked up to stand beside Jet and face Starfall, a new knife held threateningly in her hand. "No." Jet said, "I caught her, I get to kill her." His free hand, the one that wasn't controlling the dark shadows wrapped around Mira, pulled a spear of darkness from the corner behind him. The shadow spear solidified, the point as deadly as any metal spear.

"Any time now guys." Mira thought as she eyed the spear, hoping that the timely arrival of her team would save her life.

"Hey, Ed, what you reading?" Edward winced slightly as the vaguely irritating intern bounced into the room, filling the previously quiet room with noise and an energy that Edward didn't particularly want. "Shakespeare. Romeo and Juliet." He replied, biting his tongue to prevent him from telling the intern that if he called him Ed again, he'd skewer him. It was nothing personal- Edward had hit a wall in researching his sister, and it was irritating him. The intern leaned on the counter, frowning at Edward. "You read Shakespeare for fun?" Edward sighed, and was about to answer sarcastically when he heard a voice in his ear.

"I could use a bit of backup here." Mira was in trouble, it appeared. He stood, pulling on his jacket. While he sometimes wore the hooded jumpers that people of his age seemed to frequent in this time while he was at home, he always wore a proper shirt and trousers to work. They reminded him of what he wore back home, and it wasn't too dissimilar to what most of his co-workers wore. "I do hate to cut our conversation short, but I have an urgent meeting that requires my attention."

Edward made his way out onto the streets, heading for his apartment. Usually, he'd allow himself to take in his surroundings and compare it to his time. However, he ducked his head and walked as fast as he could, his mind questioning scenarios and wondering what could be happening. Once he got back to his apartment, he changed into his "costume" of a black shirt and slightly more comfortable pants, as well as a simple black mask. Some of the Masked had said that it looked like something from the "Phantom of The Opera", but Edward had only heard of it in passing. The mask covered half of his face, but both of his eyes.

He slid two swords into the sheathes at his waist, as well as a pistol and some spare ammunition. It was old fashioned, but the Legion seemed to seldom protect themselves from swords- giving him a nice advantage. He stepped into the portal and quickly sheltered behind some crates, allowing himself a certain vantage point.

It wasn't hard to find the source of the trouble. Kaldur's armor had a crack in it already. Vixen seemed to be focused on him. She would be an ideal target, but her powers would also be the most difficult to deal with. Edward's eyes continued to search, and then landed on Jet. Jet was entirely reliant on the object around his neck, and in the few encounters Edward had had with the villain, he had been able to conclude that it was the source of his powers.

Jet's powers were also reliant on light- or rather, lack of it. Edward, still crouching behind the box, pulled his phone from his pocket. It had taken him a few hours to get used to it, but after that, was using it like a native. He switched on the flashlight, before standing up and stepping into the open, flashing the light around.

"It's strange. You think that your abilities make you superior to humans... and yet it is human technology that can weaken you. Then again, you're not much more than a human, are you? You're entirely reliant on that... " A spike of darkness shot towards Edward, and Edward spun around, jumping away and shining the light around him. He laughed a little. "Oh, did I touch a nerve? I would say I'm sorry, but I'm not."

"You completely cheated! There is no way in Hell you just got the weight to the top with him lower the difficulty or something. I mean, c'mon Lily. I adore you and you know that but, look at these little noodle arms of yours." Theo said as he looked down at the girl walking next to her as she held her new giant stuffed panda bear that she had won at one of those 'test your strength' booth whenever a carnival came to town, good for them. They always just went on the boardwalk near their apartment building whenever they wanted to. The Italian just shrugged as they stopped at the end of the boardwalk away from everyone else. "Who knows? Maybe it was just luck. Or what I like to call it, skill." She raised an eyebrow with a growing smirk on her small face as Theo scoffed and rolled his eyes. "Skill my ass."

Lily nudged him softly trying to hold back her strength but, when she pulled away he still rubbed her shoulder softly. The girl nervously chuckled before rubbing the back of her neck. "Sorry." The taller male shrugged before he cleared his throat and moved closer to Liliana. "I need to ask something, Lily. It's kind of important." A small smile grew on her face as she moved close to him with the blush rushing to her cheeks. "Okay, what is it?"

"I was wondering if maybe sometime--soon. That you might want to--.."

"I could use a bit of backup here." Liliana was snapped out of it when she heard Mira speaking in her ear. "I'm... I'm so sorry, Theo. I really need to get going. I need to go help out a friend." She said as she started backing away from him and into the crowd. "Wait, is everything okay? Do you need help?" Theo asked with deep concern in her voice. For the longest time now, Liliana was always running off at strange times of the day and out of now where only to return with a few bumps and bruises and the girl never went into great detail about how exactly she got them. "No! I mean, everything perfectly fine. I can handle it. I'll be back soon, but can you put the video up for me. Thank, Theo!" She said as she rushed off before he could ask anymore questions. As she exited the boardwalk and to an abandoned part of their apartment building, where people were forbidden to go under any circumstances. Which made it the perfect place to hide her costume.

She undid the lock with a bobby pin, only to walk in moments later and locking it again right behind her. She stripped down and slid on her skin tight costume and gold mask. She also put in a pair of colored contacts that changed her eyes to brown. Sure, blue eyes were common but, she was still in the process of getting used to having to stay safe in case anything was too happen. She didn't want to take any chances where she might be noticed in her 'normal' life. She pulled hair out of her face and into a ponytail quickly before pulling a gadget out of her belt that she had borrowed from their headquarter to help her teleport wherever she need to get. She tossed it towards the windowsill where it opened up. She slipped her body into and grabbed it with her hand before entered the 'vortex' you could call it all the way.

Looking around she could hear a few bangs and yells in frustration coming from in front of the crates she was behind. "Well, sounds like Jet's here." She said to herself as she hurried from the behind the crates to help out her teammates. She could see Edward dealing with Jet and helping out Mira and she looked to see Vixen going after Kaldur who's amour already had a crack. She took a deep breath out before releasing fire from her hands towards Vixen, hoping to distract her away from the others long enough, surprising it caught the girl slightly off guard. "Oh, I've never seen you before."

"Yea, I'm what you could call the new girl."

"Well, welcome to your initiation." Vixen as she just stared at the girl for a moment. Lily had only heard about this girl, Vixen and Vixen had probably not even known they had gotten a new member and while her power was impressive, Zodiac felt like she could take her or at least distract her long enough. Lily had never seen the other girl's power in real life but she did all she could to learn about it. It took to a lot to make Liliana afraid of someone. Before one of them could act, Liliana started putting fire towards Vixen's feet with a small smirk on her face before the older lunged towards her and threw her towards the brick wall. Liliana shook her head as she rubbed it before getting up as if nothing happened. "Oh, you have strength don't you?"

Liliana just shrugged before getting up and smirking before picking a crate up and tossing it towards the girl who nearly missed it. "I have a few more things up my sleeve as well, care to find out? Or do you want to give up and flee now?"

"So, uh, you come here often?" Aloysius Ridge, or Louie as he was more commonly known, mentally smacked himself in the head. What kind of pick up line was that? It was what you'd expect to hear coming from some delinquent teenager, not a bona fide college graduate. The girl who had caught Louie's eye, a stunning redhead with an adorable sprinkling of freckles across her nose, laughed and, with eyebrows raised, glanced around, "You mean do I come to the book store often?".
"Strike two, Lou." The blonde boy thought the himself. The pick-up line was hardly appropriate at the best of times, even more so when it a public book store. Louie decided to change tact. His eyes glanced down to the book in the girl's hands, "So you're into applied physics? Have you read Doctor Greyson's journal, 'The Essential Applications of Pure Physics? It's one of my favourites." The girl's eyes seemed to light up and she excitedly opened her bag and pulled out the very journal that Louie had mentioned.
"I loved it." The girl said enthusiastically, "I heard he does research for the university, which is partially why I chose to study here." Louie could only praise his good fortune and luck. What were the chances that she'd know and love Dr Greyson's work. Now all he had to do was drop the fact that he knew Dr Greyson (perhaps not personally, but he knew people that knew him) and he'd be in with a chance. He opened his mouth, drew and a breath and...

"I could use a bit of backup here."...and the communication device in his ear went off. Typical. Not that he held it against Mira, but come on, couldn't it have just waited a few more minutes... "I've gotta go. But hit me up in the research department. I'll introduce you to Dr Greyson, we go way back. I'm Louie Ridge by the way. Lovely to meet you." Louie turned on his heel and made a quick exit of the book store, leaving the girl staring confusedly after him. Once out of the shop he quickly set off down the street, knowing that there was an alleyway just past the bus stop that he could use. The weather wasn't particularly pleasant in Edinburgh that day, a light drizzle with promise of more overnight, but that only helped Louie in a way. All the pedestrians were all so focused on getting home after work and escaping the rain that the majority walked with their heads bent to the pavement or hidden behind large umbrellas.

Once Louie had reached the seclusion of the alleyway he did a last check to make sure nobody was around. Confident in his isolation he closed his eyes and sent a jolt of electricity through his body. Louie has always explained the sensation like an electric shock rolling through your body, gaining velocity and power as it goes. Only where the electric shock would hurt most people, the feeling was more like a cooling sheet of water to Louie. The jolt sent out a chain reaction that, in less then a second, transformed his organic form into one constructed completely of electricity. His form was still that of a young man, four limbs, a torso and head, but his whole body was now a sparking collection of glowing electricity. He bent his knees, glanced up towards the sky and, in one smooth motion, leaped into the sky. When in his electrical body Louie could fly, passing through the atmosphere at the speed of lightning, literally. A trail of electrical sparks followed in his wake and when he pushed passed the sound barrier (a necessity given that he had to get from Scotland to France in time to save the day) a loud 'boom', much like thunder, sounded.

Only a few minutes had passed since his initial take off when Bolt, zoning in on the coordinates provided by the communication system, landed outside the warehouse. With a snap of his fingers his form returned to normal, although some remaining static still lingered across his skin. If anyone were to touch him at that moment they would receive a rather large electric shock. His eyes quickly took in the scene, from the ice leading up to a warehouse window to the sounds of fighting coming from inside the warehouse. In a series of quick strides Bolt made his way towards the entrance. His hands lit up as tiny bolts of lightning appeared, dancing around his fingers. Aiming both hands at the doors he let the bolts loose, watching with satisfaction as they raced towards the doors and hit. There was a loud explosion and when the smoke cleared Louie stepped through into the warehouse. "I hope I didn't miss the party." he said, a wide grin on his masked face as he took in the scene.

Even as Mira struggled against the bonds that held her, her eyes were drawn to the sharp spear that Jet was creating. She could regenerate from most wounds, but she doubted that a spear through the heart would be something even she could come back from. So it was a great relief when a casing of ice grew over Jet's hand. Mira felt a grin cross her face, Kaldur was here. Jet screamed, his frustration evident and Vixen taunted Kaldur, her insults as classy as ever. In retaliation a covering of ice appeared on the warehouse floor, creating a sort of ice rink for the two villains to navigate. Vixen, always more clever than people gave her credit for, seemed to know where Kaldur was taking shelter and with her usual killer aim sent a kick flying towards him.

Mira didn't have time to see if it hit, her own attention returning to releasing herself from Jet's bonds. As distractions captured Jet's attention, his control of the shadows wrapped around her began to diminish. Luckily the arrival of Harachel, or Edward, allowed for an even larger distraction. As Edward taunted Jet Black, Mira called up her powers. Light began to appear in between the cracks in the shadow bonds, growing stronger as the shadows grew weaker. Within a minute the shadows had almost completely disintegrated and Mira was free.

As she brushed the last remaining tendrils of shadows off her arms she caught movement and a rush of heat from the corner of her eye. Zodiac, also known as Lily, their youngest and newest member had arrived and appeared to be doing well in holding Vixen off. "I have a few more things up my sleeve as well, care to find out? Or do you want to give up and flee now?" The young hero said as she threw a crate at the villain. Seeing that things were being handled well in that quarter and trusting to Kaldur to step in should anything take a sour turn, Mira set her sights of Jet Black. She noted Edward's technique with his torch and followed suit, in a way. She held her hands up in front of her and create twin globes of bright light, illuminating the warehouse as if it were open to the midday sun. Of course, if there had been the midday sun above her the light would be even brighter, but for now it would do.

Mira took a step towards Jet, only to stop as a sudden explosion and flash of light shook the warehouse. This light had nothing to do with Mira, although she could make an educated guess at who would make such an entrance. Once the smoke had cleared, revealing partially melted doors that were hanging half of their hinges, Louie stepped into the warehouse. "I hope I didn't miss the party." He said, his trademark grin spread across his face. Mira made a mental note to herself to give him a note on not needlessly destroying property once they got back to base. For now the Masked had to deal with their enemies."Give up Jet, you're outnumbered." She said, turning her attention back to the villain, "Stop fighting and come peacefully, you can't win."

Apparently Jet recognised the wisdom of Mira's words as he glanced from Edwar, to Mira and then to Louie. "Vixen, we're leaving." He said to his partner, although his eyes remained trained on the three heroes in front of him. "Like hell I am." Vixen replied, "I'm not going anywhere until I've taught Newbie a thing or two." Mira glanced behind Jet to see Vixen pulling another knife, likely about to throw it at Lily.
"It wasn't a question." Jet replied. His eyes flicked from Edward to Mira and back, "Hate to run, but..." As he spoke a wave of darkness erupted from him, exploding over the whole warehouse. "No!" Was all Mira had time to shout before the darkness engulfed her. Mira held up her hands as the wave flew towards her, only to have her spheres of light extinguished as the shadows covered her.

Then the darkness receded. Cursing in her native tongue Mira created another sphere of light and let it float into the air above her head, illuminating the warehouse. She glared at the spot where Jet Black had been half a minute ago. Vixen too was gone, having been transported through the shadows to wherever the Legion called home. With a disappointed sigh Mira glanced around at her team mates. "Is anyone hurt?" She asked. She held a hand to her own arm, quickly erasing any bruises that had began to develop during the fighting with her healing magic. "Oh man, I miss out on all the exciting stuff." Louie said as he walked over to join Mira, disappointed that he hadn't got to fight either of the villains.

Vixen had been chasing Kaldur, giving him no time to fix up his armour of ice. And even worse, he did not have any more chance of helping Mira until he could think of something. Both situations seemed to be resolved by the ever welcome team members that just arrived. While Harachel was assisting Mira, mainly by distracting Jet Black, Zodiac took on Vixen for the very first time. Due to the distractions it seemed nobody was looking at Kaldur at the moment and he intensified the icing on his chest repairing the crack Vixen's knife had created. After only 20 seconds it looked as good as new and he could see where he might be needed.

Lily seemed to have taken on Vixen all by herself. Not that he didn't trust her to take care of the villain by herself, but team work was always better. With the young hero throwing one crate after the other at Vixen, there was no way she could see Kaldur coming. In his hands he created a large pole of ice that ,according to Mira, closely resembled a bo staff. Having studied humans and their behaviour for a while now, he had only ever seen a staff like this in the hands of an overgrown turtle. He agreed with Mira on the likeness between the two.

Kaldur made ice shoot out of the ground just under his feet, resulting in his launch into the air. With his staff ready to strike Vixen, he saw the crate just in time. Even though thrown at Vixen it seemed to come in his way with haste. Holding the staff under his right arm and balancing it with his right hand, he launched an ice pick at the crate with his free hand. The crate broke into a thousand pieces and some of them seemed to hit Vixen in the neck. Due to his quick action he himself was not hit, but he didn't get the chance to knock down the female villain in front of him. She turned around like a lightning bolt facing Kaldur and had her knife ready when the real lightning bolt came in. The door cracked and Louie stepped in:"I hope I didn't miss the party."

Kaldur kept asking himself how Louie always did it. Just when he thought he had a grasp on what the word 'party' meant, although he couldn't imagine ever having an occasion to organize one, Louie came in to confuse him. Apparently it wasn't a gathering of people invited by a host for a socializing purpose, if this right here was a party than the word was merely a replacement for the word 'gathering'. Back at HQ he would have to look into this again.

One of the words Kaldur did know was 'outnumbered', and it seemed to apply to this situation perfectly. Jet Black knew the same thing to be true and a flash of darkness followed. In the darkness Kaldur felt a slight pressure against his armour, at about the height of his blood organ. It did not really hurt and when the darkness disappeared, so did the pressure. He looked down at his chest and saw a carved figure in the shape of a heart on it, clearly carved there by one of Vixen's knives. Had this been an attempt to stab him? If so, it hadn't been a good one. First of all it would haven't nearly gone through the armour, an secondly he had only felt a slight pressure while he knew Vixen was capable of far more than that.

From the other corner of the warehouse he could hear Mira asking: "Is anyone hurt?" Kaldur thought to himself, if confusion would not be considered hurt, and he was pretty sure it wouldn't, he appeared to be fine. "All fine," he called back. He walked over to the rest gesturing Lily to come as well. "Oh man, I miss out on all the exciting stuff." Louie said.

Kaldur thought he spoke of how exciting it would be if they had captured the Legion members and had taken them back to base as prisoners. In that way they had actually all missed out. In an attempt to be part of the group he put his left hand on Bolt's right shoulder. The moment he did, he received a shock from the static hero that nearly made him jump. He let go quickly and recovered himself in an instant. "We all missed out, my brother in arms, we all did."

A number of things happened in quick succession, but certainly not too fast for Edward notice. Mira lit up the room like it was midday. Louie burst in, bursting the door off of it's hinges. It may or may not have been intended as a scare tactic, but it certainly worked. The villains realised rather quickly that they were outnumbered. Jet ordered them all to leave. Vixen was the only one to object, but Jet insisted. Edward didn't miss his eyes flicking between him and Mira. He still held the phone in his hand, with the torch on and angled towards the villains. A wave of blackness engulfed the warehouse, making Edward temporarily blind.

When he could see again, the villains were gone. "Is anyone hurt?" Mira asked. "No. I will probably have a few bruises in the morning, but nothing too damaging." Louie walked over towards Mira. "Oh man, I miss out on all the exciting stuff." Edward shoved up his sleeves, examining a small cut on his arm. One of the shadow spikes had evidently caught his arm, but he'd missed it somehow or the other. Kaldur then made another remark. "We all missed out, my brother in arms, we all did."

"I know things between my time and this has changed, but I wouldn't exactly call that fun." He remarked, rolling his black sleeves down and buttoning them up again. He lifted his mask from his face, shoving back his hair and allowing him a complete 180 degrees of vision. He tuned out of the conversation as he started looking around.

If they were here, there had to be something of value. Something they were looking for. Something they wanted. He ran his hand over the nearest crate. Originating from America. Extra packing. Fragile contents. Laptops or other electrical products.

"Mira, what were they looking for? What were they attempting to steal?" He asked, running his fingers over more crates. This one was similar. Smaller boxes however. Originating from Japan. Phones.

Electrical products. Valuable if you were planning on selling them on, but the Legion had as much money as the Masked did. They had no need of money, so unless they were looking for parts from laptops and phones to build something. But somehow he doubted that. They could just buy the raw parts. And that seemed below the Legion.

"What were they doing when you arrived? Did you seem to interrupt them? Are there any boxes that are open or look like they were attempted to open?" He asked, still investigating the various crates.
