Kaylee Milton
I walked through the long corridors of the brick building in downtown New York. I checked my watch, practically praying that I wasn't too late. I reached an office area, and through the glass door I could see that Clara was busy with someone else, and it look like her had a child with him, maybe 6. If he was a father, he must be pretty mature, which is one of the things I want to see in a perfect guy. Plus, I love kids!
The area near her office was a large waiting area. Most of the seats were full with other singles, so I took an end seat next to a guy, maybe a little older then me.

"Hi." I said, smiling, to the man to my right.

I straightened out my dark blue tool - like fabric dress, and tightened my belt. It was one my favorite dresses in my celebrity collection, and many celebrities have been seen sporting it. I smiled, then leaned back into my chair, still keeping my posture.

Nelson sat back, and in came a slim woman, seemingly slightly younger than him, hurrying into the waiting room, and took a seat to his left. She settled in her seat, and turned to him. "Hi," she had said. Her voice sounded soft, and maybe a bit of a ring to it.
Nelson grinned, and gave her a wave. "Hello, there." He looked from her to the crowd of mingling singles, then back at her outfit that she seemed to be adjusting, then sat back upright in her chair, very delicately.
"No need to adjust, I think it looks great on you." He said, as he moved his gaze out the window to his right. The room seemed to have becoming louder.

Livia watched the scene silently and calmly occasionally playing or adjusting her long brown hair. She took it out and put it up again many times before giving up to the cute long curls. Sitting here made her weary she was a very confident woman but in a rpom full of strangers she felt slightly pressured to come off well. She adjusted her leg recrossing them neatly. She looked up at the black ceiling.wondering why every think was black, pink and white. Livia loved all colours as an artist but it was all too much for her as her whoe studio home is white, glass or a wellchosen.second colour apart from heniece's room Lv came from a close knit family abd her sister Veronica often came to stay with her young daughter Rosie. That room was pink and purple like a little princess' room should be.

"Hello there." The man said, smiling. "No need to adjust, I think it looks great on you."
I switch my glance back to him, and smile slightly.
"Thanks, I made it myself." I chuckled a bit.
Thinking back, that sounds seriously dorky.
"I'm Kaylee Milton, designer of Milton Designs." I smile, and extend my hand to him casually.
I look him over a bit. He's more handsome than I thought at first glance.

"Thanks, I made it myself." she said, followed by a laugh that he found adorable. "I'm Kaylee Milton, designer of Milton Designs." She said, with an extension of her arm. Nelson held out his hand and shook her's gently. "Nelson Cooke, CEO of Armati Incorporation's. Nice to meet you, Miss Milton." Nelson was always formal on first meets, so he called her Miss Milton untill otherwise. He took another look at her beautifully designed dress. "Woah, you made this? It looks fantastic. The detail, it's unique." Nelson admired her work.

I blush a bit, flattered. I brought back my hand, and smoothed down my skirt.
"Yeah, I did. It's one of my favorites that I have made. It's an original." I reply.
I pause for a second, then continue.
"What does Armati do?" I asked, curious.

"Yeah, I did. It's one of my favorites that I have made. It's an original." She said, then followed by the question that Nelson was constantly asked, "What does Armati do?"
Nelson sat back and dazed out the window over her shoulder, figuring out how he was going to explain this.
"Armati...is a advanced technology producer. We're sort of like Microsoft, Apple, but we haven't gotten there quit yet." He chuckled. "I began the company back in my last year of college. Which was about three years ago." Hopefully she'd understand my horrible explanation, Nelson thought to himself. "I hope I explained that correctly," He let out a chuckle, then crossed his arms.

"You did. I'm smarter then I look, I have a degree in Art & Design, and I'm thinking about studying for Business & Technology." Nelson lifted in his chair with fascination. "Really, now?" This was something new to him. Usually other women he'd first converse with would brag about getting their hair done or looking pretty, but Kaylee actually brought out something he found more interesting. "That's fascinating." He said, which was the exact words that were laid on his mind. He'd decided to bring the conversation to another level.
"Business and Technology, may I say is a very involving degree together go after." He said, pertaining from personal experience. "But overall it's very fun and challenging." He smiled at Kaylee in a slightly different way. "Me? I like challenges." He slid his phone that he was holding, back into his pocket, which meant he was more involved into the conversation than before. "So, your a successful woman, beautiful, and talented. What made you stop by here at Carla's?" He asked, very curiously.

"Right thank you everyone for attending the interviews. I think I'm going to beautiful couples here. I hope you all have alovsly evening I'll see you tomorrow at your mixers!" "So, your a successful woman, beautiful, and talented." He said to me, smiling, and I blushed.

"What made you stop by here at Carla's?" He says, curiosity lacing his voice.

"Well.. I was never really open to a relationship. I was busy with University, Work, and a few other things." I said, thinking back on those days, that didn't seem so long ago. "Plus, I'm really just waiting to find that perfect guy. I want a guy who's smart, charming, handsome." I say softly, still smiling.

"Right thank you everyone for attending the interviews. I think I'm going to beautiful couples here. I hope you all have a lovely evening I'll see you tomorrow at your mixers!" Her tone became more excited by the end and Livia smiled at Clara's energy.

"Oh, well." My wide smile fades, to a simple small smile. "I have to go. I hope to see you tomorrow night." I added a bit of energy to the last part.

I picked up my leather purse, which is the same shade as my belt. I turn to back to Nelson, and I wave and smile to him. He's a really nice guy, and it seems like he knows what he is doing. He seems like a total sweetheart! But, saying all this, is there someone else better? Right now, I'm thinking not.

I begin to walk down the block, slipping on my black cardigan and black earmuffs. I walk by my store, waving to one of my top employees cleaning the window. I wave to her, then continue on my way.

"Well.. I was never really open to a relationship. I was busy with University, Work, and a few other things." Nelson listened intently as she spoke. "Plus, I'm really just waiting to find that perfect guy. I want a guy who's smart, charming, handsome." Nelson smiled as Kaylee smiled along with him. He bit his lower lip and nodded. "Those a good standards to set," He agreed, as he looked away, then back at her, with casual eye contact, and a friendly smile.

"Right thank you everyone for attending the interviews. I think I'm going to beautiful couples here. I hope you all have a lovely evening I'll see you tomorrow at your mixers!" Miss Clara had said, with the great energy she was known for. Nelson said goodbye to Clara accordingly. Nelson slid his phone back out his pocket and checked his phone as Kaylee stood up from her seat. "Oh, well," She began. "I have to go. I hope to see you tomorrow night." Nelson looked up at her as she picked up her purse.
He stood, and adjusted his Calvin Klein suit. "Definitely," He said, as his light blue eyes wondered at the door she headed toward. He had an presentation in 15 minutes on F street; hopefully he could make it on time. He walked ahead and held the door for Kaylee, and turned the opposite way. Nelson found Kaylee to be adorable - she was intelligent, and on top of that, beautiful. He was happy that he even took the time out to even talk to her. Other choices at this point would be kind of pointless, because he was so fascinated with her.

Just as he expected, his limo sat there, and leaning against it was his good friend, and limo driver Kale. "Hey, Kale," He said, giving him a casual guy dap. "What's up, Nello." He said, using the annoying nickname he'd always given him. "Did you meet any models in there?" He joked, as he opened the door for him. Nelson shook his head and chuckled. "One," Nelson said, as he scooted into the car. Kale walked around and got into the driver's seat. "She's like this model, but she actually makes the clothes for the models, and things like that." Nelson had said. "She's even interested in getting her master degree in business."
Kale chuckled. "Alright, man."
Nelson grinned. "Alright, Kale. I have a presentation."
"Right." Kale said, switching back to professional. "Next destination - F street."

I rose from my sleep, yawning. I went to sleep quite late, working on my latest design. I looked at the mannequin from across the room, sporting a formal dress that I'm making for one of my most famous clients (confidential). I get out of my bed, and walk over to the large window that revealed the NYC skyline. I stretch, and collapse onto my bed again. Once I finally pass the wave of drowsiness, I go into my bathroom and brush out my hair. Once it is perfectly smooth, I turn on the shower. I undress and step into the waterfall of soft water, with slight mist around. The water rushes down my hair, and I smooth in the shampoo and conditioner that smells like Vanilla Sugar. The mist surrounds me. After a few minutes, I step out of the steam and turn the shower off. I wrap the towel around my body.

I let my hair fall down my back. I walk near my closet, and a voice greets me.

"Hello, Kaylee. Occasion today?" the computerized spinning closet says, in a robotic tone.

"Date. I'm thinking something casual, yet fancy." I say, slightly drowsy, but still a bit of cheer in my voice remains.

The rack spins around, locating a red spaghetti strap dress with a full skirt.

"Uhm, no thanks." I say, startled that the machine would pick that.

The rack spins around again, to find a floral babydoll neckline dress with small ruffles and buttons down the neck, with a leather belt that matches my purse.

"Perfect! I was thinking this one." I said, happily.

I picked a pair of black heels off the shoe rack, then close the closet. I love this closet! It was custom designed by- oh, sorry, confidential. Anyways, it would be even better if I didn't have to program it every time I get a new article of clothing, which must be at least once a week. I honestly don't really care, I did lots of programming in High School. I change into the dress quickly, slipping on the high heels.

"Pierre, usual please!" I yell, to Pierre, my chef.

"Yes, ma'am." He replied, in his thick French accent.

I gather my bag, and fix the belt. I glance at myself in the mirror, smile, then walk out of my room. Pierre has iced lemonade and tea mixed together in a clear water bottle and a blueberry scone waiting for me on the counter. I thank him, then walk out of my loft and into my private elevator. I tap my foot, listening to the music in the background. I step out, then walk a few blocks to Clara's club. While I walk past my store, I see the decorations that the employee put in yesterday, and silently admire them. It reminds me about thinking of Nelson, and I blush again. I smile to myself. But, then again, it makes me wonder, is there anything better then him?
Nah, I don't think so. We'll see though, never say never.

I walk into Clara's millionaire club, and I see singles chatting. I look around and see Carla and Livia chatting.

"Hi!" I say, smiling and cheery. I take a sip of my iced tea + lemonade, and get ready for what I think will be one of the most exciting nights of my life.

Neslon arrived in the HQ, and witnessed countless of singles chatting it up. He tucked one hand in the pocket of his customized suit, he'd typically worn for private yacht parties that his casual buddy's hosted a few times a year. He glanced around the room before stepping forward. The first person in sight was Kaylee, which he made slight eye contact with, then Livita and Clara. He grinned and greeted, "Hello, ladies and gentleman!" In a nice more excited tone than last night. At the entrance was a refreshments table with cocktails and glasses of fine. Nelson figured that it was a bit to early in the morning for wine, but didn't mind taking a fruit cob-ab.
He took another glance at Kaylee, who wasn't looking at him this time, then he focused back on the fruit cob-ab in his free hand. Another gentleman approached him and started conversation. Nelson laughed and somehow their conversaion drifted off to the baseball play-offs. He was a huge fan of the Yankees. Yet, he only had one person in mind..

"Hi Nelson!" I say, cheery.

I turn to him, seeing him grinning.I look him over, totally loving his suit. It looks casual.. yet fancy. Kind of like my dress. I mentally giggle. I fix my hair up into a bun, then smooth out my dress.

"Wanna go get a drink?" I say to him, casually pointing at the refreshment table. I was eager for conversation with him. He was so facinating, and one of the only guys that I have met that I could have a conversation with.

"Hi Nelson!" Nelson turned, and there she was. He couldn't help but grin. He took a better look at her dress, and it still didn't seize to amaze him how beautiful she looked in her outfits."Wanna go get a drink?"
Nelson nodded, and pursed his lips, which tended to be a habit of his. "Of course." He tilted his head in the direction of the table. "Shall we?"
Forget the time of day. He didn't mind getting a drink with such a beautiful woman, a fascinating one at that.
He held out his arm, for her to casually hold, if she wanted to. Nelson definitely didn't like pushing someone to do something that they weren't comfortable with. "So, how was your evening go yesterday?" He asked, serving the two of them two a glass of wine.

"Shall we?" he says.

He holds out his hand casually, for me to link to. I slip my arm in, and I smile at him.

"We shall." I reply.

We walk over together to the refreshment table. He poured me a glass of wine, then he spoke.

"So, how did your evening go yesterday?" He said, smiling, as he poured.

"It was great. I was working my butt off though, I have a custom dress due in two days, I'll probably have another late night tonight." I sighed.

I pick up our glasses, then slightly tug his arm to a glass bar-height table. I pull away from him, then slide onto the glass stool. I motion for him to sit, then I take a sip of my wine.

"How was yours?" I say, smiling.

"Aw," He said, as he followed behind her to the bar. "Well, you know what they say, hard working women are always busy. But of course it pays off." He smiled, this time with a bit of teeth. He sat next to her and casually swirled around on the chair. "I'd love to see your work when your done," He added. She took a sip before asking,
"How was yours?"
Nelson lifted an eyebrow, then wondered as to what did happen after he left the HQ yesterday. "Well," He began. "I had this presentation, with a bunch of old snotty business representatives." He chuckled. "I'm actually working on developing this new smart phone." He added. "It's a working progress, but I'm excited that it'll come out great." Then he took a sip of wine. "Then took a trip down to my farmhouse a few miles out of the city," Then began to explain. "I know, I know, business men are expected to have huge million dollar mansions, giant houses.." He gestured his hand up and down. "I do indeed have one, just a few blocks from here but...The farmhouse, it makes me a feel more at home." He grinned at her, then looked back at his glass. "I grew up around Tennessee," He admitted. "I guess the only country thing of mine never left my spirit. Even now as a successful million dollar making business man."

I listened to his words, fasinated. He sure doesn't have a country accent; he speaks smooth.

"I'm a city girl at heart, that's for sure. I live in a loft near my store, for quick access. My loft is like a penthouse, and really has the square footage of a house. It's wonderful." I have a massive map with little stickers where I have been, and where I want to go."

I then remember something.

"Oh! I have the design of the dress on my phone!" I say. I pull out my iPhone, unlock it, then pull up the dress sketch. "It's simple, yet stunning. It's going to be worn to a massive A-List party.. I can't say the client though. Client confidentiality." I end the last bit with a touch of sarcasm.

"I was so ambitious as a youngster - hence me being where I am now." He smiled. "But traveling is always on my list to do. I've been a few places, here and there, for conferences around the country, but never to just sit down and relax, and enjoy the scene, you know?"

Then, in a semi-good, yet corny British accent, "Call me Agent Bond." He said, with a light laugh. He was never good with British accents...

"I hope we are matched." I say softly. "Your one of the only guys I have been with.. that I can be myself around. I can relate to you. Your funny, sweet.. caring.." I could go on all day, but I just pause. "I know we just met... but I think I love you." I wink at him, keeping my smile.

She lets out a reassuring laugh. Nelson smiled and accomplished what he was trying for - a laugh. Kaylee then took her soft hand and placed it on his. "I hope we are matched." she said in a light tone. Nelson's blue eyes grew slightly wide, as he listened. "Your one of the only guys I have been with.. that I can be myself around. She then pauses slightly, then continued her words, "I know we just met... but I think I love you."

Nelson, left stunned, takes his hand that she placed on and took it into his palm, and held it. He looks her directly in the eyes, and his voice becomes soft, and light, as if in a murmur, for only her ears to hear. "Ever since I placed my eyes on you," He began, looking at both her eyes one by one. "I couldn't lay them on any other woman." He glanced down at their connected hands, then back at Kaylee. "It was honestly as if all of them vanished out of the room. You,...You were my main focus... This ideal piece of artwork that had to be admired, and wondered a pon." Nelson wasn't the type of Romeo, but he honestly said what came from his head, he spoke what was on his mind since the day he met her. "Your beautiful. Intelligent. Talented. Did I mention beautiful?" He smiled with humor, then it slowly faded away. "I think I've fallen for you also, Miss Milton." He slowly caressed her hand in his. "Kaylee." He smiled, taking deeper, and slower breathes, keeping direct contact. "I'm hoping I'm matched with you, to show you the best time ever. We'll go where ever you want." Me smiled, as he thought of more broader places such as Paris, Rome, and even Tokyo. He kept the places in mind to himself, and slowly leaned back into his chair, admiring her smile.

Before he knew it, Kaylee's lips met his. He slides his hand on his cheek, caressing her soft, smooth skin. He kisses her passionately, being careful to hold back his emotion. His eyes slightly press together at the sensation of her lips against hers, with a sweet taste that instantly drove him crazy. Holding back more than ever, he leans back, just centimeters away from her, their lips just brushing, he glances down at her lips, then into her eyes. He knew he wanted more, but he slightly leaned back. "Your lips..." He says, nearly breathing it out. "They taste..nice." He says, folding a piece of her hair out her eyes.

I pulled away from him, smiling.

"Your lips taste good.." he says.

I line into his ear.

"Maybe you'll taste some more later?" I say softly.

I sit back, and take the last sip of wine.

"I need a refill." I say, laughing. I pull out my chair, then walk to the buffet of drinks.

I look, and grab two glass of clear white wine, one for him, one for me. I bite my lip, then walk to the ladies washroom to fix myself up. I tie my hair up into a ponytail, then walk back to Nelson.
