Walker McMullin

Alright, who wants to shoot some bad guys? Not you, Arietty. Not until you're older.

0 · 231 views · located in New York

a character in “The Millionaire Matchmaker.”, as played by Thundergod1020

Description

Walker McMullin

Name: Walker McMullin Image
Age: 20
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Straight
Hobby: My career IS my hobby. Well, that and eating...
Career: Sweeper(Bounty Hunter)

Personality: I'm a carefree guy, if a little foolish. I'm not exactly one to "look before he leaps", and I have been known to get into some trouble due to my age and my job, but I'm the kind of guy who you can always depend on to be there when needed. I can get a little jealous, but only because when I love someone, I love them and them alone. At times, I can be solemn, but I try to remain as cheerful as possible. I have been known to revert to my old personality when provoked, which usually ends badly for all parties involved. This is indicated by my eyes turning golden from their normal blue color.
Appearance: Take a look at the picture, what you see is what you get. My gun, Vera, is a specially modified pistol, designed so I can shield myself from bullets by deflecting them.
Ideal Partner Would Be... Someone who doesn't think money is everything, likes traveling the world, knows how to properly treat a gunshot wound, and likes my adopted daughter Arietty.
Worst Partner Would Be... Anyone who doesn't fit at least one of the non-Arietty criteria. If you don't like Arietty, then forget about it.
Why Do You Think Your Single? The fact that I don't own a house, just my car, bullets, and gun.
Ever Been Married? No, thank god.
Most Serious Relationship? Probably one high school fling, purely BECAUSE it was my only one. Girl freaked out and left when I told her I shot people for money on the side. Maybe I could have explained it better.
Crush? Nah.
Mini Date Matches: THE TWO YOU PICKED AFTER THE MIXER
First Date Match: THE PERSON YOU TOOK ON A FIRST DATE
History: I come from one of those big families, you know, the ones that can recall their ancestry back to the first civilization? Well, I ran away when I was little because they wanted to control every little bit of my life and ended up being taken in by a guy named Zagine Vollified. Weird name, I know, but he was a cool guy. He taught me how to defend myself when I was little, then how to use a gun. Turned out he was a sweeper who had made more than a few enemies with the local gangs by bringing their leaders in, and was shot and killed one day while we were bringing back groceries from the store. One funeral later, I took up his gun and became a sweeper myself. I went in and single-handedly took out the entire criminal gang with no lethal shots, just like he'd taught me. A darker side of me appeared that day, and I started calling myself the Black Cat, a little nickname the gangs had started giving me due to the bad luck that they would have if I crossed their path. Zagine had left me everything he owned in his will, both because he knew I hated the life I had been living with the McMullin family and because we had been all we had, so housing had never been a problem. The darker personality I mentioned earlier? HE was a violent one, who did whatever it took to get the job done. I shiver just remembering some of the things I would do to get my marks... But this is where my life came back and bit me in the ass. I ended up shooting a little girl once while on a mission, and thankfully, she lived, but because of me, that girl would never be able to walk again without some crazy-expensive surgery. My family came to me and told me they'd clear up everything to get her walking again, but in exchange, they'd arrange for me to get into some matchmaking service so I could get married to another rich person like they'd always planned.
Other: Arietty is now 6 years old and yes, she's the girl I shot. She's also deaf, so both of us know ASL, but as a warning, just because she's deaf doesn't mean she can't read lips.

So begins...

Walker sneezed as he got out of his car, a rather shabby-looking thing, but it had saved his sorry rear more times than he could imagine, so he wouldn't DARE think of getting a new one. As he helped Arietty out, she pulled out a little handkerchief that she always kept from her overalls and gave it to him, and Walker smiled before blowing his nose.
{You always know what I need, don't you?} he signed, which, he might add, was difficult to do one-handed.
{I do my best. And what you need now is a mommy for me!} she signed back, her hands going through the motions like they were crafting a fine piece of pottery. Walker laughed at her little comment, glad she could at least see he enjoyed her statement.
{Of course, my dear. But remember, I won't choose anyone you don't like or doesn't like you, so if you're as picky as last time...} Arietty puffed out her cheeks and signed furiously back.
{She had to have been a gold digger, did you see the size of her-} Walker stopped her before she could finish saying "purse".(What, did you think a kid would say something else?)
{I know, I was just joking! But c'mon, let's see if we can't find you a mommy!} he signed to her, putting her on his shoulders as they walked into the Matchmaker's building, her pink shirt and blue overalls matching his dress shirt and jeans. Say what you want, but anyone could see who was in charge there.

Clara nodded with a smile. "Ok, lazt qustion what do you think about kids and settling down?" Clara had a feeling.she his answer already but she had to ask a prediction isn't enough to pick the right girls folr the Mixer.

Livia looked at the man walking and noticed the young girl walking proudly beside him. Their matching outfits made her chuckle. Livia looked away and again and grinned playing with her long brown hair befor ssplitting it down her chest. Livia was a pretty girl and had a creative and intelligent look to her. She was wearing a white blouse and dark denim skinny jeans. Livia loved wearing blouses they made her feel light and free but the skinny jeans were a bit restricting on her movement.

Clara followed him out and smiling brightly asked Walker to follow her. She was a fast confident woman and so far seemed nice and bubbly but then again no one has broken her rules yet.

Livia smiled at the man returning from his interview polietly but she didn't really say anything. She felt her phone buzz and read the message. She cursed quietly, she couldn't go and reshoot the fight again! She'd done it four times already this week! Liv was a stuntwoman and this means when an actress's part performs a stunt or fight scene Liv performs it instead.Currently Livia has been working. as a stuntwoman for Daisy Soe and. Daisy was an action actress so this meant lots of fighting sxenes. Liv didnt mind the the stacks of work but the director was seriously twistinf her mind constantly.

Liv sighed and explained that she was busy in a long polite text and then slid her phone into her back pocket again.

Walker let Arietty down from his shoulders as they walked into Clara's room so she wouldn't hit her head on the doorway, and as Walker sat down at the table, she immediately jumped up onto his lap and smiled innocently at Clara, signing off a quick hello.
"Arietty says it's nice to meet you, and I think she grabbed the words right out of my mouth, if you don't mind our little joke." As he spoke, he signed his words out so Arietty wasn't left out of the conversation. As she read the words, Arietty silently giggled at Walker's joke, it was one she had come up with by herself. "By the way, was that Livia Key I passed on the way in? Arietty's a bit of a fan of hers, if you don't mind me asking."

CLARA

She nodded. "Yes, That's the one and only and I'm sure she'd love to meet you both." She smiled at Arietty and directing the girl asked.
"What kind of girl do Daddy needs?" Clara was a smar
woman and she knew a good dad would only date a woman his child approved of so asking the kid would be a helpful. "and what kind of girl do you think you need?" she asked oG
)9this time to Walker.

Clara currently thought Livia wouldn't be a bad choice. She loved kids and Walker had a kid but she needed to know a bit more first.

I walked through the long corridors of the brick building in downtown New York. I checked my watch, practically praying that I wasn't too late. I reached an office area, and through the glass door I could see that Clara was busy with someone else, and it look like her had a child with him, maybe 6. If he was a father, he must be pretty mature, which is one of the things I want to see in a perfect guy. Plus, I love kids!
The area near her office was a large waiting area. Most of the seats were full with other singles, so I took an end seat next to a guy, maybe a little older then me.

"Hi." I said, smiling, to the man to my right.

I straightened out my dark blue tool - like fabric dress, and tightened my belt. It was one my favorite dresses in my celebrity collection, and many celebrities have been seen sporting it. I smiled, then leaned back into my chair, still keeping my posture.

Livia watched the scene silently and calmly occasionally playing or adjusting her long brown hair. She took it out and put it up again many times before giving up to the cute long curls. Sitting here made her weary she was a very confident woman but in a rpom full of strangers she felt slightly pressured to come off well. She adjusted her leg recrossing them neatly. She looked up at the black ceiling.wondering why every think was black, pink and white. Livia loved all colours as an artist but it was all too much for her as her whoe studio home is white, glass or a wellchosen.second colour apart from heniece's room Lv came from a close knit family abd her sister Veronica often came to stay with her young daughter Rosie. That room was pink and purple like a little princess' room should be.

Her tone became more excited by the end and Livia smiled at Clara's energy. Livia smiled and waved sweetly at everyone there saying her thank yous and.goodbyes.she departed.

Walker woke up in his and Arietty's hotel room to a knocking on the door. Yawning and stretching as he walked to the door, he opened it to a man with a pistol trained on his heart. Without even blinking in surprise, he pulled Vera out of her holster(Yes, he slept with it on) and fired her down the barrel of the other man gun, causing it to shatter in his hands.
"Run, and MAYBE I'll let you live." He said, his now golden eyes' piercing gaze adding to whatever fear the man already had of him. Needless to say, the failed assassin didn't need to be told twice, running past an elderly looking man in a suit, who walked up to Walker and handed him a letter.
"Message for you, sir." the butler said, bowing to Walker, whose eyes had reverted to their usual color and was putting Vera back in her holster.
"Thanks, Alexei. Wife treating you well?" Walker responded, tearing the letter open and scanning it, it was his damned parents, saying how "happy" they were that he was going to their attempts at getting him married. {Those two wouldn't know happy if it crawled up their asses and died.} Alexei laughed a little at the master's question, glad not ALL people he was being employed by were the stereotypical rich bastards he was used to.
"Well, if she was any more demanding than she is now, I'm sure I'd have to start asking double my fee!" He said with a smile, more jokingly than actually grubbing for money. Walker's answer was the same regardless.
"You know what? If I end up married and the McMullin fortune comes my way, you can HAVE it." Alexei's eyes popped out of their sockets. The McMullins weren't exactly the poorest of the lot, with rumors going around that Lowell McMullin could literally swim in his money in an Olympic-sized swimming pool.
"You surely jest, sir!" Alexei gasped, astounded that someone could even joke about something like that.
"Nope. I already make more than Arietty and I will ever need in a year, and thanks to what little my dad actually DID teach me, I have enough set up in banks to keep me going for a few decades. Besides, once I'm married, I'll be stuck with another millionaire, who preferably isn't a money leech. We'll be able to take care of ourselves. And do I look like someone who wants more than he needs?" Walker asked, without even needing Alexei's response to confirm the obvious. Arietty walked out beside him, signing to ask if everything was all right. Walker signed back that everything was fine, and she should go get ready for the event today. Arietty bounced a little and ran off to her suitcase to get ready, picking out an orange pair of pants and a purple shirt with Hello Kitty on the bottom left corner. Walker thanked Alexei again for his time, and sent him off on his way. Walker had hired Alexei, an informant, butler, cook, and old friend of Zagine's, as both a favor and a way to keep as much distance between him and his parents as possible. His thoughts were interrupted by Arietty jumping in front of him to sign.
{Daddy? Are you going to get dressed?} Walker then realized he was still wearing his suitjamas(Because EVERY man should be classy and comfortable at all hours of the day!), and laughed, signing a quick thanks to Arietty before getting dressed himself, throwing on a pair of dark colored jeans that were tight, but loose enough to move around in, and a light blue dress shirt. Finally, he strapped Vera to his leg and opened the door for Arietty, who had also decided to bring her turtle shell backpack.
{Well, let's go!} he signed, and the two walked off to the car, ready to get this mixer on.

Walker and Arietty ran through the front door, panting as they both slid to a stop.
"Are we late? My car broke down for the third time this month!" He said, his hands not stopping their habit of signing everything out as he gasped for breath. Arietty, surprisingly, was perfectly fine, still smiling her cute little smile as she looked around the room at her daddy's soon-to-be suitoresses.

Kat turned around as soon as Clara clapped and announced the delay. She took a sip of champagne the bar tender had given her, a little annoyed that it was the strongest drink they had. She had to admit, Clara was smart to make sure it would take some binge drinking to get anyone drunk at the mixer. As a loud crashing noise echo'd through the large room, Kat glanced over towards the doors to see a man with a little girl burst through them.

She arched an eyebrow at his signing, then glanced at the little girl at his side. It instantly clicked that it was the little girl he was signing for. She was a little puzzled as to why there was a kid here anyway, but she knew there was at least a small chance that there would be people here that already had a family of their own. She jolted out of her deep thought process when her eyes met the little girl's for a few seconds. She awkwardly averted her eyes for a second, then met eye contact again. Kat wasn't used kids anymore, and hated awkward eye contact more than anything. In a small state of panic, she decided to sign something to the girl to make it at least a little less awkward.

{Hey, that's a pretty dress you've got.} She signed quickly to the girl, glad that her years of sign class was finally paying off.

"Maybe you'll taste some more later?" Nelson bashfully looked down at her words.
"I need a refill." She laughs, pulling out her chair, and heading to the buffet of drinks. Nelson cleared his throat and smiled as he watched her walk off, then turned to the bar table. He needed time to recoup. He placed his elbows on the table and kept to himself. A clerk watched him from behind the desk. "You need anything, sir?" He asked, obviously grinning at what just happened. He looked up at him and shook his head. "No, no I'm okay. Thank you." He looked down at his lap, then over his shoulder. Kaylee came walking back over to him, and he smiled. He turned himself outward away from the table and carefully received the wine glass she had prepared for them two. "Thank you," He said, taking a sip before sitting it on the table. He took in a breath and looked over at Kaylee. "Woah." He said. "So, tell me. Let's say we do get matched," He said, jokingly. "Where would like to go, love?" He said lightly, and very casually. He rested one arm on the table.

From across the table, he saw Walker and his daughter running a bit late. He signed a few words as he spoke. Nelson glanced at the little girl, and wondered. About having children of his own. He'd never thought about it over the years, but knew that it would be something new to try. He grew up around little sisters, and older brothers, and even had a niece that he'd adored. Then he focused his attention back at Kaylee.

{I intentionally picked this out to clash with itself and NOT look pretty in order to flush out people like you. You failed the first test. Knowing ASL is a plus, though, so you're still on my good side!} Arietty signed back while keeping her angelic smile, Walker thankfully seeing neither of them as he paid attention to Clara's announcement.

Kat arched an eyebrow, surprised by the little girl's bluntness. She smiled slightly, deciding that she already liked the kid. Well, if the girl liked tests, she'd challenge her back. Hopefully she could take the blunt honesty as well as she dealt it.
{Let me rephrase. Your dress is extremely off-putting, what with the design. And your shoes look terrible all together. I apologize for feeling obligated to be polite to a kid, maybe I should re-examine my mixer etiquette.} She signed back to the girl, a teasing smile barely curling at the corners of her lips. So that made one person she maybe liked in this room, and she was pleased that the kid wasn't a spoiled brat like most children of millionaires were.

She glanced towards Clara, listening to the announcement as well.

{And what if I thought you were trying to get to my daddy through being nice to me?} She signed back, glad that she had a challenge for once. {The very reason I set up my clothing in such garish fashion, garish, mind you, not ugly, that's another point deduction, was because I want my daddy to be with someone who doesn't mind being blunt from the get-go. You failed that right away, and I highly doubt continuing to argue with me will earn you any points from the person deciding who's getting married to who. Also, realize that you're arguing with a SIX-YEAR OLD. I could sign out whatever I please and no one would believe you besides Walker, who wouldn't think for a second I would do such a thing. So run along, enjoy the mixer, and stay away from my daddy.} Arietty, I should add, reads a LOT. As such, she's incredibly advanced for her age, with Walker's parents already seeing her as a potential heiress to their economic empire should Walker back out.

Clara looked at the arguing child and woman and this had apparently caused Walker not to hear her. "Oi! Quit it. Walker did you hear me?" She asked bluntly.

Livia smoothed her red dress and played with her curls a little nervously. She felt Clara looking at her so she walked over to Walker and Arietty and said "Hey." She had a slight foreign sense to her accent but it did show hints if Americian. You wouldn't know unless she told you but the foreign spark in her accent was Italian.

Walker nodded to Clara.
"Like a mother hears breaking glass." he said, bowing slightly to Livia as Arietty hid herself behind Walker, "A pleasure to meet you in person, Livia. I heard you're stunting for a new movie?" Walker smiled as he spoke, his demeanor welcoming as he asked about her career. Arietty, however, continued to hide behind Walker, absolutely terrified of meeting her favorite stuntwoman, but still taking the slightest amount of time where the two weren't paying attention to do the "I have my eyes on you" motion to Katerina.
