I pulled away from him, smiling.

"Your lips taste good.." he says.

I line into his ear.

"Maybe you'll taste some more later?" I say softly.

I sit back, and take the last sip of wine.

"I need a refill." I say, laughing. I pull out my chair, then walk to the buffet of drinks.

I look, and grab two glass of clear white wine, one for him, one for me. I bite my lip, then walk to the ladies washroom to fix myself up. I tie my hair up into a ponytail, then walk back to Nelson.

"Maybe you'll taste some more later?" Nelson bashfully looked down at her words.
"I need a refill." She laughs, pulling out her chair, and heading to the buffet of drinks. Nelson cleared his throat and smiled as he watched her walk off, then turned to the bar table. He needed time to recoup. He placed his elbows on the table and kept to himself. A clerk watched him from behind the desk. "You need anything, sir?" He asked, obviously grinning at what just happened. He looked up at him and shook his head. "No, no I'm okay. Thank you." He looked down at his lap, then over his shoulder. Kaylee came walking back over to him, and he smiled. He turned himself outward away from the table and carefully received the wine glass she had prepared for them two. "Thank you," He said, taking a sip before sitting it on the table. He took in a breath and looked over at Kaylee. "Woah." He said. "So, tell me. Let's say we do get matched," He said, jokingly. "Where would like to go, love?" He said lightly, and very casually. He rested one arm on the table.

From across the table, he saw Walker and his daughter running a bit late. He signed a few words as he spoke. Nelson glanced at the little girl, and wondered. About having children of his own. He'd never thought about it over the years, but knew that it would be something new to try. He grew up around little sisters, and older brothers, and even had a niece that he'd adored. Then he focused his attention back at Kaylee.

"Ok I'd like to announce the matches..." Clara said and a semi-circle seemed to form in a split second. Livia stood infront of Clara calm and quiet picturing a painting she wished to create in the back of her mind. She pushed the thought away and focused on Clara.

Nelson accepted the wine, and we both sat again.

"Woah." He said. "So, tell me. Let's say we do get matched," He said, jokingly. "Where would like to go, love?"

I took a sip of my wine, then looked at him.

"Tokyo, Paris.. maybe Beijing and somewhere in Germany? I particularly like Europe, but Asia is also fascinating. You?" I said, smiling bashfully.

I followed his gaze, down at the man with the child. I looked over him, and he looks quite handsome. I bite my lip, then look back at Nelson, and admire him. Nelson Cooke is my guy, I can tell.

"Tokyo, Paris.. maybe Beijing and somewhere in Germany? I particularly like Europe, but Asia is also fascinating. You?" Nelson sat back, considering that that wasn't a problem. "I had South Korea in mind," He said with a wonder in his mind. "Tokyo, Japan. I'll give you the pleasure to pick." He smiled.
"Ok I'd like to announce the matches..." He heard Clara say. Nelson turned around, then turned to Kaylee. "The matches are being announced," He said, holding out his hand casually.
He walked Kaylee over to the group of singles in the crowd around Clara.

I grab Nelson's hand, and we walk to Clara. I lean over, give him a kiss, then quickly focus back to Clara.

"Whatever happens, you'll always be my match." I whisper, voice low.

I smooth out my dress, fix my hair, and wait for Clara.

Clara cleared her throat. "Well lets get this done quickly do you guys can mix. Kaylee I'm suggesting Nelson as your match..."
Livia smiled thinking 'Good for them.' She wished Clara would read hers out though and stop making her wait. Livia painted a picture in her mind of flowers and trees wondering which of three possibilities it actually was.

{I intentionally picked this out to clash with itself and NOT look pretty in order to flush out people like you. You failed the first test. Knowing ASL is a plus, though, so you're still on my good side!} Arietty signed back while keeping her angelic smile, Walker thankfully seeing neither of them as he paid attention to Clara's announcement.

"The rest weren't so easy...but on the main idea of her love of kids and calm yet fun ways. Walker I'd suggest Livia...I hope the little one approves..." Clara said with a smile.

Livia smiled shyly. She remembered seeing a man with a young girl when she left her interview so she assumed he was Walker.

Kat arched an eyebrow, surprised by the little girl's bluntness. She smiled slightly, deciding that she already liked the kid. Well, if the girl liked tests, she'd challenge her back. Hopefully she could take the blunt honesty as well as she dealt it.
{Let me rephrase. Your dress is extremely off-putting, what with the design. And your shoes look terrible all together. I apologize for feeling obligated to be polite to a kid, maybe I should re-examine my mixer etiquette.} She signed back to the girl, a teasing smile barely curling at the corners of her lips. So that made one person she maybe liked in this room, and she was pleased that the kid wasn't a spoiled brat like most children of millionaires were.

She glanced towards Clara, listening to the announcement as well.

Neslon smiled and glanced at Kaylee. Then all of the sudden, nervousness came across him. He began to start his nervous habits, which included clearing his throat, and looking around his surroundings vigorously. Why was he feeling this way? Was this the nervousness that was supposed to happen in the beginning of when he met Kaylee, that all of the sudden decided to over flow him at the last moment? Nelson's heart raced. This was awful. He started to clear his throat, and that was when he knew that there was an issue.
"Excuse me," he whispered over to Kaylee, with a sigh. He was frustrated with his body for doing this, at the most anticipated moment of his life. He'd walked off moments before Clara announced their match together, and walked inside of the gentleman's room. He passed the urinals, and turned into the mirror. He stared at himself, then slid his palm down his face. Get yourself together, Alexander, he thought to himself. Alexander was his middle name, which he responded to more frequently than his first name.

He sighed and dropped his head. He figured some cold water would wake him up. He cupped his palms and splashed a little cold water on his face. He wiped his face with his hand. The bathroom clerk offered him a paper towel, and he gladly accepted. "Thank man," He said, wiping his face.
"Your welcome, sir." The familiar voice responded. He looked over his shoulder, and it was the same clerk from the bar table. Was he working a double shift or something?
"She's a keeper, huh?" The clerk asked, attending the bathroom towels and soaps, organizing them back in order.
"Yes, I'm hoping so." Nelson said, checking his face in the mirror.
"I see," The clerk attendant had said. "You sound uncertain."
Nelson paused, and turned around to the man. "Why do you say that?"
"Your response. Your tone. It's all in there."
"I'm certain. I may even love this woman, I-"
"may?" The clerk responded, lifting an eyebrow. Nelson sighed in frustration.
"Look, sir, I appreciate you stating your opinion but no thank yo-"
"May - the expression of possibility."
Nelson rolled his eyes. "I know what may means, oka-"
"Then there is uncertainty, isn't there?" The man challenged. "I didn't study psychology for five a years for nothing, sir." The clerk said, as he nonchalantly wiped down the sink counters. Nelson swallowed, and said nothing. Was he right? Was the the reason why he had some type of nervous attack?

"So, what's the problem? Why are you having cold feet? She's gorgeous, she's single, your rich, your single,"
Nelson sighed, at his last words. The man slowly turned and looked Nelson in the eyes, and froze. "Your not single?!" The clerk said with a yelling-whisper.
"I am, I am, I know I am," Nelson reassured him. "Its just a bit complicated, okay?"
"Who is she? Have you fallen for her? How long have you known her?"
"I don't love her. I did." Nelson said, turning away from the clerk.
"Ok, so she's out of your life, your out of her's. Do you have feelings for your ex?" The clerk said. Nelson was impressed with his quick and accurate assumptions.
"I, I don't think I have feeling for her,"
"There's those uncertain words again. 'Don't' and 'Think." The man placed a hand on his hip. The way he talked - the taste in his voice - he must have been gay! Nelson then took two steps away from him. "So, you don't know if you still have feelings for her?"
"The thing is, she lives with me." Nelson admitted.
The man's mouth shot open. "You live with your ex?"
"She, she didn't have a place to stay, and I have a spare farmhouse, so I gave her a key, and -"
"No, no, no. No. Kick that girl out, get her her own apartment, something. But living with her? Are you serious?" The man said, nearly ranting.

Nelson shrugged. "I never felt like we'd ever get together. I never wanted to."
"Why?" The clerk asked, listening in as though he was getting in on a piece of gossip.
"She cheated on me." Nelson said, now looking down at the ground.
"With?"
"My bestfriend."
"Who is your bestfriend?"
"Raina."
The clerk looked dumbfounded, lowering his eyebrows in confusion. Nelson stood back and waited for him to put it all together, since he was doing so well so far. All of the sudden, the clerks eye's slowly lifted with surprise.
"Your ex turned gay?!" His screaming-whispering voice echoed through the bathroom. Nelson shushed him, and sighed. He nodded, hating to bring up the memory.
"Woah. There's a twist!" The man said, cheering around, and clapping his hands. He then leaned in to Nelson, wanting to hear more. "Are they still together? Where's your bestfriend?"
"My ex-bestfriend. She's on vacation."
"So, they both live with you?"
"No."
"So, you then forgave your ex? Since your letting her live with you?"
Nelson shrugged. "Yes, I put it all in the past."
"So how come your ex-bestfriend is still your ex-bestfriend?"

That caught Nelson off guard... "Well.."
"Ah. So you haven't." The Clerk pointed, and stood back.
"Well, she knew what she did was wrong so-"
"So your still holding that grudge for her taking away your girlfriend. So you got back at her by allowing your ex to come and live with you." God, this clerk was extremely smart.
"That was the case in the past, but now, I've grown to not care anymore." Nelson shot back, in defense.
The clerk starred at Nelson with a gritty, yet suspicious smile. Nelson awkwardly starred back. The bathroom became silent.
"Then let Miss Milton meet your ex."
"What? Why?"
"That should relieve all of this uncertainty, right?"
"How am I supposed to know?"
"It will. Trust me."
Nelson shook his head. "This is to much.." He said, sighing, and leaning against the counter.
"But not soon. Of course not soon. Just wait for the right time to come, if not, just let it happen naturally." The clerk suggested. He was right.

"I guess...Your right, sir. Thank you." Nelson put his hand out for the man to shake. He gently took his hand, as a female would, and gave it a little shake. "Any time, hon." He then turned back to the counter. "Now go, claim your girl! She's waiting for you!" The clerk said.
Nelson nodded, and confidently walked back outside. Hopefully he wasn't too late with the matching.
He stood to Kaylee's side. "Hey," He said, placing a sincere grin on his face. "Did I miss anything?" He asked.

{And what if I thought you were trying to get to my daddy through being nice to me?} She signed back, glad that she had a challenge for once. {The very reason I set up my clothing in such garish fashion, garish, mind you, not ugly, that's another point deduction, was because I want my daddy to be with someone who doesn't mind being blunt from the get-go. You failed that right away, and I highly doubt continuing to argue with me will earn you any points from the person deciding who's getting married to who. Also, realize that you're arguing with a SIX-YEAR OLD. I could sign out whatever I please and no one would believe you besides Walker, who wouldn't think for a second I would do such a thing. So run along, enjoy the mixer, and stay away from my daddy.} Arietty, I should add, reads a LOT. As such, she's incredibly advanced for her age, with Walker's parents already seeing her as a potential heiress to their economic empire should Walker back out.

Clara looked at the arguing child and woman and this had apparently caused Walker not to hear her. "Oi! Quit it. Walker did you hear me?" She asked bluntly.

Livia smoothed her red dress and played with her curls a little nervously. She felt Clara looking at her so she walked over to Walker and Arietty and said "Hey." She had a slight foreign sense to her accent but it did show hints if Americian. You wouldn't know unless she told you but the foreign spark in her accent was Italian.

Walker nodded to Clara.
"Like a mother hears breaking glass." he said, bowing slightly to Livia as Arietty hid herself behind Walker, "A pleasure to meet you in person, Livia. I heard you're stunting for a new movie?" Walker smiled as he spoke, his demeanor welcoming as he asked about her career. Arietty, however, continued to hide behind Walker, absolutely terrified of meeting her favorite stuntwoman, but still taking the slightest amount of time where the two weren't paying attention to do the "I have my eyes on you" motion to Katerina.

Livia practically beamed when he knew of her work. "Yeah, it's an agent action thingy. It's fun seems to be stunts then acting though." She smiled. It wasn't an exaggeration however. Livia found herself being dragged to work to do about 3/4 of the film yet it'd be the actress who got the Oscar.

She looked at Arietty and crouched down awkwardly in her dress to talk to her.
"Hey, I'm Livia Key what's your name sweetie?" She asked kindly as to not intimidate the child further. Livia gave Arietty a warm friendly smile showing a hint of white teeth.

She dangled her hands over her knees looking at the young girl with friendly warm chocolate eyes.

Allison Oakley was late. Her black heels were cracking against the pavement as she ran down the busy streets of New York. Flashes and shouts followed her until she was protected by the door to the Millionaires' Club. She gave a sigh of releif and adjusted her hair and dress carefully and quickly before asking the receptionist where she could find Clara Hicks. The receptionist said she was at the Mixers and Alice half ran to the main hall silently hating her outfit.

She was wearing a tight black dress with little black heels, the outfit was simple but effective because it showed off her smooth curves and lean long legs. Her blond hair was in long curls down her front which stopped just under her breasts hidden under her hair however was a beautiful silver and diamond broach that had been passed down the Oakley family for years. Since she'd inheritated it at seven the young singer has never been seen with out it.

She took a deep breath and pushed open the elaborate yet modern door and stepped into the main hall. She sucked in a sharp breath because it looked like Clara was in the middle of talking to the group of Millionaires. Clara seemed to notice her instantly and Clara forced a nervous smile and apologuised guiltily. "No problem honey, We all know what it's like... Clara said with a honey-sweet smile. Alice smiled gratefully and walked over to the group.

She didn't know anyone here yet because she'd missed her interview because she had been recording in Sydney for her new album 'I'm never growing up' She'd felt bad but Alice and Clara had done the interview later that evening over the skype at a ridiculous hour because both women led busy lives.

Alice smiled and waved as appropiate to the people in the room before standing quiet and still leaving Clara to continue whatever it was the young millionaire had been doing.

When Nelson was in the bathroom, I decided to go freshen up myself. I walked past the mens bathroom, and heard bits of a conversation through the door.

"...The thing is, she lives with me." he says, his voice muted by the door.
"You live with your ex?" another man's voice says, distinctly whispering.
"No, no, no. No. Kick that girl out, get her her own apartment, something. But living with her? Are you serious?" The man said, nearly ranting.
Nelson's voice changed tone, "I never felt like we'd ever get together. I never wanted to."

I know I shouldn't listen in, but I was completely shocked. He still loves her! He loves his ex.

The feeling inside me, the happy one, snaps into two.

I turn around, and I walked back to the bar.

"Rum and coke please, just a shot of rum." I say softly, choking on the tears going down my throat.

As I sipped my drink, a single tear ran down my cheek.

Nelson walked to my bar stool. He stood next to my side. "Hey," He said, placing a sincere grin on his face. "Did I miss anything?" He asked.

"You tell me." I say, continuing to choke slightly on my tears.

I thought he was different.

Running through the streets of New York, Richard, was late late. He didn't know they'd have him over seas for such a long time, but knowing Clara for a few years now, he'd hopped she'd excuse his tardiness. He held his uniform hat in his left hand, as what was required of the Marines when their hat is taken off. It was a routine thing. He forgot his car at home, which was too far to run now. He was a fast runner, but he figured he'd save his stamina so that he wouldn't be walking into the headquarters sweating and heavily breathing. Was saw the huge sign at the top of a building next to a clothing boutique that his ex wife used to always shop at before they got divorced. Instead of the elevator he took the steps. He then stood at the entrance, adjusted his suit, and looked around not having a clue as to what was going on. He saw a crowded group of young adults, and in the center of the gathering was Clara. He grinned as he made his way over. He stood next to her in front of the many singles, and whispered "My apologies for being late, Miss Clara. I was shipped over seas, and it turned out they kept me longer than I'd imagined."

Nelson

"You tell me," She replies, without eye contact. Nelson lowers his eyebrows. "Kaylee?" He reached for her hand, confused as to what he missed. "What's wrong?"

Richard nodded to Clara and turned to a blonde woman, giving him a smile. "Hey, I'm Allison Oakley or Alice as I prefer." Richard smiled and gave her stern eye contact. He attempted to step out of his military mentality and into a typical city man. "I'm Sargon Stevenson, but you can call me Rich, love." He called every woman 'love' casually. He got it from his father years ago, and rarely used it while on the Marines, considering that he had to yell orders, be still, and aggressive. There was no time to even use the word love, until now.

Nelson

"I heard what you said in the washroom... I was walking by," She had said. "Is that really true?" Her smile had vanished, which made Nelson nervous. He thought back over at the conversation in the bathroom, and sighed, but quickly defended his position. "No, no...It's not like that, love." He adjusted in his chair before explaining. "That was the case, but it's not anymore. There are just things going on that I had to clear up. Yes, she lives with me, but no, I don't love her in that sense." He knew his choice of words were going down hill. "What I'm trying to say is, I love her in a completely different way. Not in the way that I love you," He stopped and thought about what he was saying. "I mean, yeah, she lives with me, but it's only out of pity. Maybe guilt, maybe denial, I'm not sure." He took her hand in his, trying to reassure her. "She's my past. I'm sure she's moved on with her life, and I want to move on with mine. With you." He finally said.

"Nice to meet you Rich," she smiled playing with her glass's stem a little her finger grazing upwards. She thought about something to ask but no real questions came so she kept her mouth tightly and shut and waited a reply.
