SKILLS :Killing people!

This wasn’t the job Min would have ever seen himself in but it’s something he excels at. He is amazing at getting his job done even if it’s ‘annoying’ to some. He is a very likable guy which is makes his job easy sometimes because no questions whether or not he belongs in any given location. PLUS he is rather good at convincing others to help him in his deeds.

Min is extremely likable and a total goofball. When he isn’t working he can chat with you about anything and is just ready to have a good time. A total free spirit that just wants to have a good time

While working Min isn’t much. He definitely uses his day to day personality to help him along the way. That being said while working is the only time you have a chance to see quiet Min. Quiet Min is a scary Min because that generally means that it’s a serious big job.

Min’s life kinda sucked his parented died at when he was 10 years old and his aunt happened to be going through a divorce so she came to live with him so she could be his Guardian. She wasn’t much of a guardian really constantly going on weekend trips and working late leaving his best friend/neighbor’s family to take care is him. Min had figured out how to be self reliant really quickly and was used to being alone.

When Min turned 15 his aunt just up and left taking all the money his parents had left with her. Mackenzie’s family continued to take care of him and made sure the boy had food and clothes as well as school stuff even though Min hated relying on them. At 16 Min started working crap jobs just to make enough money to live off of so he could stop mooching off Mackenzie’s family. He even went as far as to try to pay them back if there was left overs. When he got offered his current job Min wasn’t sure he would take it but he is glad he did. The very first thing Min did with his first paycheck is transferred all the money he felt he owed Mack’s family to their account causing quite a stir.

So begins...

Minkyu looked down at his phone as it rang for what felt like the one millionth time as he rushed out of his apartment toward the club he was meeting his friends at. Sighing he turned to answer the call ,”Hel- “Don’t you dare Hello me! Your late Min. Like super late we are next in line to enter the club now! Tony has been so excited to celebrate his birthday and now one his best friends can’t even show up on time!” Minkyu chuckled at his best friends as she yelled at him before replying, “ Sorry Mack! I got off of work late. I’m on my way now y’all go in without me I see you in a bit.” Minkyu knew that Mackenzie was about to reply, it was customary of his ‘mom’ friend to worry about him whether it be about him working crazy long hours or the fact that she didn’t want him waiting in line at the club by himself. He silently listened to her ramble as he joined the back of the line knowing she had already been ushered in by their friends. He was getting ready to respond when he saw HIM.

Minkyu wasn’t sure what it was about the man that drew him attention to him. He wasn’t doing anything special but Minkyu knew that this had to be the most beautiful man he had ever seen. The stranger moved from him position leaning on the wall abruptly and began to follow a lady looking oddly suspicious around the corner from where Minkyu was standing. Something inside him demanded that he followed the two so he quietly got out of the line. “Uh Mack… Sorry to cut you off but I uh I got to go..” Minkyu almost winced because he knew the voice that came out of him was not in anyway the voice Mack was used to. He sound dazed and lost. After shutting off his call Minkyu proceeded to quietly follow the pair. The two met up with another women at the entrance of an unsuspecting building leading him to be perplexed. When he followed behind them he was amazed by the interior on the bar. Never in his life had he seen something so fancy.

Trying his best not to get to distracted Minkyu quickly took a seat that was away from all the action but close enough that he could observe the man he followed all the way here. As he looked around he noticed that his clubbing attire has left him severely under dressed. He shifted slightly when he also began to notice that people around him were taking note of him and how out of place he seemed. Finally two people approached him, one male and one female. The male was an employee and arrived first asking if he’d anything to drink. Minkyu looked up at him and gave him his signature dimple grin that was known to get him out of trouble before answering lowly, ”Just a water , but if your could make it not look like a water I’d appreciate it. I stand out enough right out as it is which isn’t good when all I want to do is enjoy all the pretty people here.” The waiter chuckled lightly before nodding and walked away leaving Minkyu alone with the female slide into the other side of the circular boot he had chosen. ”I don’t think a drink is gonna make you stand out any less handsome.”

Minkyu chuckled and smiled at his new guest before replying, ”You are absolutely right, but if a beautiful lady like yourself joins me for my drink, I’ll go from an out of place male to someone who is has every right to be accompanying his lady friend. What do say want to help a poor boy out?” After a moment she agreed and ordered herself a drink when the employee came back with Minkyu’s water. She then began to ask him questions which he gladly answered. Never missing a beat, he even contributed his own questions and stories to the conversation. Minkyu did this so well that his companion never noticed that he was only half listening to her as he stared passed her toward his real target, trying to work out who he was and eavesdrop on his conversations.

"Remember, get in and get ut. We can't afford a mistake with this one, mijo." Edgar's voice came in a hushed tone through the small earpiece that lay hidden within Mateo's ear. The young man leaned against the club wall as he listened to his father coach him as if it were his first rodeo. He knew this was a dangerous mission, and despite having convinced his father that he could handle it on his own, the man was still worried. Even more so after being told the target was suspicious and would be bringing backup should anything go South. The best course of action would have been to leave the mission for another day, but they were past the point of no return and if they didn't take this opportunity now, it could cost hundreds of lives later. He simply hummed into the speaking that was tucked neatly under his suit jacket, not wanting to do anything that may raise suspicions.

After what felt like hours, though it had only been about thirty minutes, a tall blonde woman in a red dress stepped outside. After giving enough distance to where she wouldn't grow suspicious, Mateo followed her to the nearby bar. As expected, the moment she stepped inside she met up with another woman, slightly shorter with dark red hair and the two headed towards a private room. After giving the reservation details that the agency had acquired through means of investigation, as well as a masterfully fabricated ID, Mateo was allowed into the private room as well.

"Hello handsome." the blonde woman greeted, extending her arm out for a handshake. "You must be Shawl." The red-headed woman also extended her hand. Mateo responded with handshakes out of curtesy before taking a seat beside them. "Pleasure to meet you, ladies." he lied, his voice low and huskier than normal. He then scavenged the area to makes sure they were the only two in the room before continuing. "But I'm not Shawl, I'm the guy that's going to help you kill him." The women exchanged a look, yet somehow did not seem too impacted by Mateo's statement. Instead, they remained silent and listened. "You're both minutes away from being murdered and the only way to change that is if you do exactly as I say, so here's what we're going to do." Mateo then went on to explain in detail what each of them had to do in order to get rid of the target without raising suspicions. Of course, firing a gun in a public club like this was out of the question, especially knowing the man had backup.

Once having run through the gameplay, Mateo got to his feet, bidding the women goodbye before stepping out of the room. On the opposite end of the club there was a familiar face headed their way. Mateo swiftly blended into the crowd waiting at the bar for their ordered drink but staying close enough to keep tabs on the situation. "You think they'll actually do it? his father's voice came through once again. Mateo scoffed, his eyes ever so slightly watching the target walk inside the where the women sat. "Of course not. We got a waitress on the inside that will prepare his drink." There was a hearty laugh on the other end of the line as Mateo scanned the bar for said waitress, spotting her just a couple of tables away. everything was falling into place smoothly.

Minkyu watched as the ladies who were with his mystery man returned. He could tell they were both trying to control their emotions and that they were awful at it. By the looks on their faces he could tell they just learned something that unsettled them. He saw on open her mouth to speak and he strained to listen. "Are you really going to be able to kill him? You love him no matter how big of an asshole he is” It took every ounce of self control he had not to re-adjust himself into a better position. Minkyu's pseudo date was playing her part well. She had taken what little info he had offered and when anyone from her circle came up to speak to her she never hesitated to include him in the conversation and make it widely known that he was here as her guest and should be treated as such. Minkyu was his talkative self and took care to never drawing attention to the fact that he was only half paying to the questions asked. His attention was momentarily pulled away from him as he caught sight of the reason he was in this bar anyways.

"uh, Min your phone is ringing." He turned to the phone that was set by his drink and smiled. Picking it up he noticed it was a whole bunch of texts from his friends. Calmly he opened a message from Mack and saw she was worried about him. As he went to compose a text telling her he was fine he saw the ladies from before walking toward a man sitting by himself but seeming to be controlling everything around him.

Just before they reached him though he saw one of the girls discretely set an object wrapped in a napkin near him. He begins looking for the guy from before but couldn't see anything. He should up calmly saying, "I'm going to the bar real quick can I get you anything?" His date nodded and asked for a refill. On his way to the bar he grabbed the napkin. Noticing it was a gun he slipped gun into the waist of his jeans behind his back quickly making sure his shirt covered it. The route he took to the bar was what one say was the uncrowded route, it avoided almost everyone especially the man and the two women. While at the bar he observed the two go up the man but then leave him rather quickly. As they walked back toward where they had deposited the gun he watched the horror on their face when they noticed the gun was missing. As soon as the bartender passed him the drinks he quickly requested that one of the waitresses take his dates back to his table. Once the man was seemly alone he picked up his drink and calmly began taking the route back to his table but this time chose the one that would lead him directly by the 'boss' man. The walk to him was quick and Minkyu was calm. In fact he was the calmest he has ever been. No one even paid him any mind when he stopped behind the man making it look like he was pausing to drink his drink as he pulled the gun out of his pants. Then while everyone was going about their night he pulled the trigger delivering one fatal shot to the head.

The remaining sips of bourbon danced within the cup held between Mateo’s finger, his attention still placed on the waitress. Through his peripherals he caught the blonde woman set aside the weapon that had been handed to her. Mateo sighed, gulping down the rest of his liquor as a decision was made. All he had to do was give the waitress the signal to carry out plan B. The assassin had seen enough missions gone bad to know the women were not going to be compliant. Not that he’d expected them to. He’d long since learned to be prepared for situations like these. As he rose from his seat at the bar, however, a new player came into the game.

Mateo watched cautiously as a young boy swiftly took hold of the gun that had been set aside, leaving the young women in a panicked frenzy. He’d been warned that the target had backup. Perhaps this was it. Mateo made sure to continue watching from a distance, not wanting to make any moves until he knew for certain who this stranger was. Logic would have it that he would be the man’s back up, however if his clothing didn’t set him aside enough, there was something not quite right about the way he did things. He was discrete, but hesitant and borderline reckless. He did not move as if he had years of experience but rather as if he were making an impulsive decision. And perhaps Mateo realized a bit too late that this was exactly the case.

The moment the shot was fired and Shawl fell to the ground, everything seemed to spiral out of control. The majority of the club goers were in panic, save a few that moved with malice. Mateo quickly pinned them as Shawl’s real backup. The young man’s hand rested on the gun attached to his hip. The confused chatter around him cascaded into yells of panic as one of the suited men held a loaded gun to the nameless young boy’s head. “Shit….” Mateo swore quietly, instinctively taking out his own gun and pulling the trigger once, then twice, knocking out two of the suited men. He managed to catch a third on his way towards the boy, just before a fatal shot was fired. Without a word, he grabbed the boy’s hand, yanking him out of harm’s way.

The club had now erupted in complete chaos, making it difficult for any of the remaining men in suits to catch up to them. Mateo made a beeline towards and out the back exit, leading them both to an empty alleyway. The screams from inside were muffled, and he could hear police sirens blaring in the distance. He eyed the boy in front of him, clearly shaken by whatever had just happened, his brows furrowed in anger. “What the fuck?! Who-?” though before he could continue his protests, the sound of the back door opening interrupted. He quickly placed a finger to his lips before pulling the boy into a small gap within the club walls, barely big enough for their pressed bodies to fit. This was the closest physically he’d ever been to anyone that wasn’t his girlfriend. Close enough that he could feel the boy’s rapid heartbeat. But they were hidden in the shadows, out of the line of sight for Shawl’s goons. His right hand still held his gun, ready to fire as soon as the man walked by, meanwhile his left held on to the boy’s hand in an effort to keep him from running out and putting both their lives even more at risk.
