"It's a pleasure you meet you,"

a character in “The Moore Sisters”, as played by ArhaHitomi888

Description

Full Name:
Alexander Aurelius Volkov

Image

Nickname:
Alex, Zander/Xander

Age:
25

Relationship Status:
Married

Career:
High school choir teacher, Composer, Musician. (Novelist/Writer in hobby)

Image

Talents:
Alex is gifted with musical instruments (He also has a very lovely voice, but can never actually do anything with it due to him becoming terrified in front of more than two other people and singing absolutely horribly, meaning his this portion of musical talent is basically completely useless), being able to play many very well as well as play good portions of a song after hearing it once due to his other talent.

Alex has an extremely accurate, sharp memory, able to hold onto the smallest detail for years and years. He's memorized fifty digits of pi by simply glancing at them once in seventh grade, many pieces of music, as well as others things. It isn't quite photographic, though he has photographic memory as well, since he can just as accurately remember exactly pitches and tones that people spoke in, which makes learning languages easy as well (He in fluent in Russian, french, spanish, german, italian, and english).

Fears:
Alex fears losing Hartley somehow, being very much in love with her. He is extremely attached to her and being around her brings him absolute delight, and is almost like a high to him, which makes the thought of her suddenly disappearing mortifying for him Alex also fears being left utterly alone, without a friend in the world - the very idea of it terrifying him.

His final fear is his most intense. He has extremely severe claustrophobia, and being trapped in an enclosed space will often cause him to abruptly go into a complete mental breakdown; Crying, screaming, shaking, following nightmares, the whole shebang. In the follwing days, he'll often be very jumpy and shaky.

Personality:
Alex is a naturally, very kind person. Being raised as a classic gentleman in London, England, he is very kind, generous, chivalrous, and thoughtful. His expression is usually that of deep thought until he enters a conversation, in which it usually changes to being rather pleasant unless something is bothering him. He's somewhat shy and softspoken, but a very charming man in conversation. He loves company, and enjoys talking to others. He's a naturally paternal person as well, being very kind and protective over people and animals that are younger than him, giving advice like a father would.

Alex is is reserved man with most people, not being very outgoing and open unless it's someone he's very close to. Alexander is very honest with others and himself, never telling a lie - even a white lie - if he can help it. He's gentle and it's extremely difficult to noticably upset him. He's very sweet and is one of those secret, hopeless romantics at heart. He's very sympathetic and is always willing to listen and be a shoulder to cry on and support for whenever someone needs it, understanding the needs for people to do so since his upbringing wasn't exactly all pleasant smiles (But he's come to terms with it and has accepted it).

Also:
Alex as a tattoo of a bass clef on his left write and a treble clef on his right wrist. He has a long, white scar running from under his collarbone to the base of his sternum, a bit to the left of it due to surgery he had when he was born (non-traumatic). Alex is also somewhat confused when it comes to technology, confused by his cellphone on a daily basis - Old friends from college joking that they're stunned he can use a blender on his own. Alex also has extremely fragile health, which sometimes is a problem since he will become sick easily and stay sick for quite a while.

Hartley: Hartley walked onto the elevator and smacked the button for floor eight. Once on Floor Eight, she walked out of the elevator, down the hall, and into the floor her and Alex shared. She hung her bag on the coat rack next to their door. She walked into their family room and plopped down on the couch. "Alex?" She called out. "I'm home sweetie." She was glad of that for sure. It had been a tough day at work. Flu season has been particularly bad this year, and there was a huge increase in patients at the hospital, making her job stressful. She waited for Alex's answer, wondering if he was home.

Will: Will opened the oven and gently removed the chicken he had been cooking. He set it down on the stove top, and placed a large serving plate down next to it. He placed the chicken on the serving plate, then added some herbs, and drizzled a zesty sauce he made over it. Will added sauce to the plate in a design for decoration. He brought the plate over to the table and set it down in the middle. He put a candlestick on each side of it, then quickly struck a match and lit them. After that, Will grabbed the bowl of salad and the plate of bread and set them down on the table, as well. He stood back for a moment, assessing his setup. It was perfect, if he did say so himself. "Meg!" He yelled. "Dinner's ready!"

Alexander sighed lightly, adjusting the strap of his shoulderbag as the elevator went up. Alexander felt woozy, swaying lightly as he stood. The students at the school had been coughing and sneezing, or course without covering, so he hoped nothing had been spreading around the school - Despite being of fragile health, he never really did keep track of what circulated around the school, it was usually the common cold anyway. As the door opened, he made his way down to the floor that he and his beautiful wife, Hartley, shared. He noticed that she hadn't come home yet, since the floor was quiet save for a quiet hum which, Alexander assumed from the heat in his skin, was possibly the heater. Hanging his coat on the coat rack, he made his way towards his small study, which he used whenever he was making lessons plans, searching music, or whatever else.

Placing his shoulderbag on the desk, as usual, he sat down in the chair. With a long sigh, he pressed his hands against his face and drew them down. Well, he supposed it was time to look at how the students did on their very short intervals test. Thankfully, all of his tests didn't take long - perhaps twenty minutes at most, leaving the rest of the classtime for singing. He knew he tended to be rather hard on his students, but hoped that made them better musicians. As he pulled out all massive binder that held the papers of all three hundred of his students from all of his classes, he heard the front door open and close again, followed by a familiar voice - Harley.

"Welcome home, honey!" he called out, standing and turning away from his desk, crossing the tiny study to the door. A light, gentle smile crossed his face as he spied Hartley standing near the door. Stopping in font of her, he lightly grasped her upper arms and pressed a soft kiss to her forehead. "How were things at the hospital today?" he asked, releasing her from his very light hold and letting his hands drop to his side.

Hartley: Hartley smiled as her husband greeted her. She walked into their bedroom and into the walk-in closet as she called out, "It was stressful. Lots of patients with the flu. You should go to the pharmacy tomorrow and get a flu shot. The last thing we want is you getting sick." She knew she should receive a flu shot as well, but she was terrified of needles, and had a very low tolerance for pain. Giving someone a shot was not a problem for her, being a nurse and all. Receiving one--that was a different story. She shuddered at the thought of needles and pain as she changed out of her nurse's scrubs into jeans and a cardigan. She walked back out of the bedroom and over to the coat rack to grab her phone out of her bag.

Will: "That's alright." He said with a smile. He pulled a chair out for her, before sitting down in the other chair. He served himself some salad, and snatched a piece of bread from the bowl. He spread a little butter on it and took a bite. He squirted salad dressing on his salad. After he finished chewing his bread, he looked up at Meg and smiled. "So how is work, babe?" She had been spending more and more time at work, he'd noticed. And even when she was home, he could tell work was still on her mind. It bothered him, and he hoped it was just a phase she was going through. He hoped she'd get over it soon.

Alexander returned the smile Hartley gave him before following her to their bedroom. He walked to the window and looked out, admiring the view that they had as she told him how her day was. Hearing that it had been stressful, he frowned a bit and apologized, sympathetically. He knew how hard it could be to deal with sick people, especially since many of his past caretakers had openly complained about having to take care of him when he was ill. The light smile returned to his face when she suggested that he get a flu shot. With a light chuckle, he turned back towards her as she exited the walk in closet.

"Alright, i do it on my way home tomorrow or during my planning period at work." He followed her again, but this time settled in a chair in their small family room. "I'm lucky that i got a beautiful nurse as my wife," he looked back at her with one of his gentle, sweet smiles. "Do you want me to cook for us tonight so you can relax? I wouldn't want you to be tired, Hart." he offered. He had never been opposed to cooking or cleaning like a lot of men were, always wanting to be helpful.

Hartley: She smiled as Alex assured her he would get a flu shot the next day. She slipped her phone into her pocket as she walked into the family room. She flopped onto the couch, lethargy settling over her. She smiled gratefully as he complimented her. When he offered to cook, she grinned and replied. "That would be fantastic, thanks baby." She grabbed the remote and flicked on the t.v. "What are you going to make?" She wondered aloud, as she leaned her head back onto the armrest of their sofa and stretched her legs out. She shut her eyes for a moment, sighing loudly, letting all the stress from the day melt away.

Alexander watched as Hartley collapsed onto the couch, exhausted. "Of course, love." he said, moving over to sit on the couch Hartley had settled on. He gently raised her up into a sitting positing before sitting down so her so her back faced him and he began to give her a light back massage, his hands working with care, making sure to not be too rough or too light. He made sure not to dislodge her from her comfortable position too much, letting her stay in the same position except she was leaning on him instead and could rest her head in the crook of his neck and still be able to see the T.V.

"Maybe i'll make something special for us tonight." he offered, continuing his gentle backrub. "How does pan roased chicken with shallot sound? Maybe with a light caeser salad and an apricot-cherry tart." The last of Alex's jobs that he had worked before being a teacher like he was now, was a chef - So he hung on to a couple of his favorite recipes. He didn't cook very often though, only every so often or when specifically asked to (though he made simple things when he's asked to cook anytime besides holidays).

Hartley: She grinned and relaxed into his arms. "Ohhhh." She mumbled, her stress melting away even further. She leaned her head in the crook of his neck and closed her eyes. She listened as he described what he was going to make. "Mmmm," she murmured, the smile reappearing on her face. She loved when he cooked special meals; they were always really delicious. "Sounds yummy," she whispered. She pictured the taste of the food and her stomach growled, and she giggled.

Alexander could feel Hartley relax into his touch and was further encouraged her continue giving her a nice massage. He pressed a light kiss to her cheek as she rested her head in the crook of his neck and closed her eyes. He knew that Hartley liked when he cooked special meals, and was happy to do so on occasion: Anniversary (when it came), holidays, birthdays, and just days like this.

"Okay, i'll start it up in a bit." he said, smiling. "I'd like to work out some of your stress knots first." Carefully, he worked her muscles, caressing and stroking the muscles to help them relax.

Hartley: She smiled. "Fine with me," she replied to him in a whisper. Her eyes were still closed and she breathed out another sigh. She let herself forget about work, forget about sick patients. "Baby...have I mentioned how much I love you recently?" She mumbled. Her eyes were closed and her breathing began to get slower. A few moments later, she fell asleep in his arms. (OOC: Sorry, I'm having a bit of Writer's Block)

Alexander continued to give her a gentle back massage, smiling when she asked if she had told him she loved him. Lightly, he kissed her cheek before chuckling. "Every day of our life." he said, pointedly making life singular. As she drifted off to sleep, he gradually softened his massage until he had completely stopped. Carefully reclining her back on the the couch, he stood next to her before slipping his arms behind her back and and knees, carefully lifting her and moving her to the bedroom - Sleeping on the couch was bad for your back after all.

After gentling setting Hartley down and making sure she was still asleep, he walked backwards towards the doorway. Leaving on only the lamp on the nightstand, he slipped out of the room - closing the door silently behind him. With a little smile on his face, he made his way down to the kitchen floor, ready to make dinner for Hartley, himself, and anyone who might want whatever he kept out for them.

(OOC: Sorry, lol. I'm kind of new to this!)

Hartley: Her eyes fluttered open. Slightly confused, her eyes darted around the bedroom until she figured Alex must of carried her off of the couch onto the bed. She sat up and yawned, then got out of bed. She walked over to the dresser and glanced at the mirror hanging above it. She fixed her hair and rubbed her eyes, before heading to the elevator to go find Alex. She pressed the button for floor two, and when the doors opened she walked into the kitchen. She saw Alex standing over the stove, finishing up dinner. She smiled and walked over to him, wrapping him in a hug from behind, laying her head on his shoulder. "Hello handsome," She chirped happily in his ear. She was feeling very refreshed after her nap. All her stress was gone and she was happy.

Alexander has almost finished making dinner by the time Hartley had come down. He shook a bit more sweet basil onto the pan, making sure the chicken was cooked just right before he prepared to move it to a serving plate. He had made several pieces, about seven just in case he or Hartley wanted seconds or some other people wanted some as well. Just before he moved the chicken, he felt arms wrap around him from behind and smiled as he felt Hartley rest her head against him.

"Hello there, beautiful. How was your nap?" he asked, carefully turning to face her in her embrace. Kissing her forehead, he offered her a grin. "You got here in time for dinner, too." he said, using one hand to reach back and carefully remove the pan from the burner. The chicken moved smoothly onto the serving dish, the shallots already there waiting in the dish.

Hartley: She smiled. "Good. I feel a lot better now, babe." She grabbed two glasses from the cabinet, and filled them with water at the sink. She set them down on the table. "The food smells fantastic," she grinned, inhaling deeply. She sat down at the table, as Alex brought the food over. She looked down at her hands underneath the table as she thought of how to bring up what she wanted to say next. She had wanted to talk to him about this for a little while, but wasn't exactly sure if she even knew if she had her mind made up yet. "Hey honey?" She said. "Can we talk about something?" She asked him quietly, looking up at him.

Alex smiled, his sapphire blue eyes gaining that happy spark they did sometimes. "I'm glad," As Hartley filled the glasses, he began to fill up plates for both of them - taking care not to serve to much food or too meager a portion. "I'm glad, i hope you think it tastes just a good." As he set the plates on the table, he took note of the lack of utensils and turned away to go back into the kitchen. Carefully, he gathered the utensils before returning. After setting them on the table, he took a seat and placed the dinner napkin on his lap. As Hartley spoke, he attention quickly switched from the food to his beautiful wife.

"Yes, dear?" he replied, his hearing picking up the small change of tone in her voice. It seemed almost unsure, but was very clearly more serious than it had been moments ago. His expression changed to one of attentiveness as she asked if they could talk, and he leaned across the table towards her. "Of course," He completely ignored the food at the moment. "What's on your mind?"

Hartley: She smiled as he listened attentively. She took a sip of water as he asked her what was on her mind. "Well I've been thinking about it a a lot lately..." She bit her lip. "I was wondering when you thought would be a good time for us to... you know...start a family?" She quickly took another sip of water as she waited for his reply. She hoped he would say he wanted children soon...she was twenty-five, and planned on having at least one child before she was thirty. Maybe two. Suddenly, she was racking her brain for how many children she wanted total. Three maybe? She wasn't sure. She loved children, but didn't want to be overwhelmed, never having time for herself or time with just Alex. She sighed, thoughts buzzing around her head.

Alexander listened attentively, watching her with a focused gaze. Whenever Hartley needed to talk to him, he would give nothing less than his undivided attention. When she brought up the subject to starting a family, he felt a kind of nervousness deep in his chest, mixed with a kind of excitement. Alexander had always wanted children, having always been a paternal person by nature. He was good at caring for things, and found he liked it - So he had always liked the idea of his own kids someday. However, when it was brought up, it seemed almost... intimidating.

"Well..." he started, looking down at the table. "I think, i'd be happy and ready to start a family whenever you'd like to. Personally, i'd think sooner rather than later. I wouldn't want to wait until i would be too old to see all my children marry to have their own kids." he said, a tiny touch of humor on the last sentence, even though he was also serious.

Hartley: She smiled when Alex said that he wanted kids sooner rather than later. Excitement built up inside her. "How many kids you do you want?" She asked eagerly. Potential names buzzed around in her head as she got more and more excited. Her eyes gleamed with happiness as she took a sip of water and a few bites of food.

Alex smiled at Hartley from across the table, feeling happy that she seemed happy with his answer - And he was happy with it as well. Being asked how many kids me would want, he looking down at the plate of food in thought. He took a lemon from the side of the plate and squeezed a bit of it onto the chicken before he cut off a piece and began to eat. After swallowing, he looked up.

"Well, I've always thought of having two or three kids." he answered, looking back up to Hartley. "But the number could always change depending on the first one," He swallowed down another mouthful before pausing to set his utensils down and look thoughtfully at his wife across the table.
