"....."

0 · 699 views · located in The Infinite Void

a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by VitaminHeart

Description

Name: 101

Species: Synthetic Being.

Gender: Unknown.

Age: 3 years (Though is considerably more mature than a human that age would be.)

Height: 5'10

Appearance: 101 is a gangly, oddly shaped figure, with extremely pale, rather fragile skin and red-orange hair. Its eyes are a flooded blue hue, with no visible white or pupil. Its fingers are long and slightly webbed, arm quite long and bony. One arm appears to be missing entirely. It has no mouth, and hardly any evidence of a nose.

Personality:Being unable to speak, 101 comes across as somewhat animalistic. It creeps around in a nervous fashion, and takes violently against doctors or anyone that resembles a doctor. Underneath it actually thinks quite a great deal. It dreams of a life as an ordinary human, though knows it's not really possible.

Strengths:

Unknown.

Weaknesses:
-Has nearly no immune system and becomes infected with diseases easily.
-Is unable to eat or drink conventionally due to lack of mouth.

History:101 was designed as a donor artificial, a life-form created simply to hold internal organs that could be used for donation for clients. Many of its 'siblings' were created near identical, and all were gradually 'harvested' until they expired. It was held in the laboratory of a medical centre for most of her life, before eventually taking the chance to leave. It managed to spring out of a window and make a run for it.

So begins...

101 shrugged a little, before reaching over to the iPad again to put down a message.
"I don't really know." came the reply.
"I've just been trying to get to know the city, and work out what I can do. I'm getting better at talking to people."

101 nodded, it felt it was important, having a very limited understadning of people. Most of its ideas coming from a strange mixture of the doctors it remembered, and the TV shows it had watched, a strange an conflicting picture of humanity.

"I don't know where I'm staying yet. I wander round. I sometimes fall asleep in the bar..but that's by accident." it replied.

"I don't really have a lot of money..." 101 admitted, tilting its head.
"Well. No money. I'm not too useful and the only valuable bit of me are the parts of me." it explained.

It hadn't really given the whole thing a lot of thought in honestly. The idea of money was a weird concept that it was still working out and coming to terms with, let along making it.

101 quickly began typing again.
"Oh, I'm sure I'll be alright. To be honest sleeping in the bar is better than where I came from." it wrote.

It was true 101's standards were rather low to begin with considering its origins, and it had no problem with its current situation.

101 leaned forwards a little, listening into this with interest. It quickly typed something down.
"And airship?" it asked.
"You mean it would fly? In the sky?"

"I'm sure it will...you seem good at getting things done." 101 replied, nodding its head as it looke dit over. 101 had a great deal of respect for Pinch alreadt, mmainly as she was the first one to show it some consideration, and felt a sort of admiration for the woman.

101 nodded.
"Yes...some things are really important...something things you have to do. It must be nice to have a dream that you can achieve." it replied.

101 shifted a little awkwardly, looking down at the floor, typing rather hesitantly.
"It's stupid really." it replied, feeling a little embarassed about admitting it really had one.
"And it's never going to happen."

101 lifted its head a little to regard Pinch.
"Well...when I was at the medical centre they used to have all these programs on the TV. They used to have these shows that were set in like these regular houses in nice streets..and the characters were like a family and they looked out for each other..and notihng very exciting ever happened...but they were happy and normal. I always wanted a life like that. Just to be ordinary." it explained.

101 edged its way into the bar, rubbing what substituted for its nose and shivering a little. It was beginning to wonder if somethign was wrong with it internally, and this concern gave way to all sorts of questions as to what it was going to do.

101 clambered its way up onto one of the stools by the bar. Sneezing several times, an odd, muffled sound distorted by the being's lack of mouth.

It reached up and rubbed its eyes wearily, watchign the other patrons.

101 lifted its head from the table, rubbing its eyes and gazing around. It guessed in had fallen asleep, though it was having some trouble telling at the time. It was feeling rather odd indeed.

101 glanced round, rubbing its nose again before glancing over at Halo Zhang, who had stepped up to the bar closeby, and watcher how the automated system of the bar appeared to work, rather interested. The creature slipped off the chair and crept over to get a closer look at the dispenser, somewhat forgetting the ideals of personal space and not bothering people.

101 leaned forwards agaisnt the bar, trying to get a better look at the mechanism, lreaching over underneath with a webbed hand, trying to get a look at how it worked.

101 reached underneat,h and emitted a muffled yelp as it managed to get a few fingers trapped within the moving parts as it started dispensing drink again. The humanoid scrambled back in alarm, trying to get itself free, rather regretting trying to examine the machine. This was not a nice machine at all!

101 eventually managed to pull itself free of the drinks machien and stumbled away into a nearby table, pressing its crunched up fingers close to its chest and whimpering a little. It never wanted to go near that thing again.

101 glanced round at Joanna, titling its head and trying to work out exactly.....what she was, its surprise momentarily distracing it from its stining fingers.

101 hesitantly took it and placed it on its palm, frowning when it realized its hand still rather hurt and still looked quite unpleasant.

101 would have frowned if it had had the appropriate facial equipment. It attempted to flex its fingers, grimacing a little as blood seeped out of several gaps left in the skin.

This did not seem healthy at all...though it guessed it had had worse.

101 lifted the hand close to examine it. That cut seemed to look better...or it at least couldn't see it...though it didn't seem to have doen a lot for any of the other cuts, which still seemed to be rather drippy and unpleasant.

101 rather stuggled to get them on one-handed, lacking a second hand to make the process less complicated. It was times like this that it really missed its other arm, things used to be a lot easier with two arms.

101 seemed rather grateful for this, and soon the hand was looking at least reasonably patched up. It gave a rather shaky thumbs-up to Joanna in thanks.

101 sat itself down, deciding to keep its hand to itself, for a while, and began looking around at the other patrons of the bar, wondering if any of them were like the 'nice people' that had been mentioned before. It was rather hard to strike up conversation with anyone without a mouth though.

101 stepped through the doors of the bar, dragging its somewhat webbed, bare feet across the floor in a lethargic manner, one greyish coloured arm wrapped around its opposite shoulders to try and stop the shaking.

The strange being was not feeling well, it had not been for some time, though it didn't really have the experience to understand why, and was there in hope that it mighr meet up with one of the more charitable individuals that it sometimes seemed to came across in the place.

The slight creature raised its mouthless face and watched the assembled individuals with a blunted wariness. One had to be rather skilled at avoiding conflict when you were so naturally uninclined towards self defense, with brittle bones and thin skin that showed off some of its circulatory system.

101 padded its way slowly across to a stood and hoisted itself up onto one, bony shoulders hunching up and head pulling down at it emitted some muffled coughing noises, reaching up witha spindly wrist to wipe its forehead.

101 rather liked visiting the place, and had rather enjoyed watching the people going about thier business,, something which sometimes earned it the scorn of those it was watching.

It wasn't there for that reason that day though. Things were rather starting to frighten 101, it's swiftly declining health mainly. It had never really had any opportunity to learn how to take care of itself, and was wondering if therewas something very important it was forgetting to do...
