Personality

Adam is a sort of enigma. None can say for certain how he'll react to something, or in what ways events will impact his psyche. He rarely speaks more than brief sentences, doesn't betray his thoughts with his body language, and sometimes seems simply soulless. But he has shown that he can be friendly when at rest and peace, capable of communicating in his own way. At the same time, he's shown to be utterly ruthless in times of conflict, usually achieving a forcible victory on his side. One thing for certain about Adam is that he usually gets what he wants.

Equipment

Saiyaku
Saiyaku is Adam's primary weapon, a sword that utterly dwarfs its wielder. It is an angelic weapon, one of those given to the destroyers among God's servants. As such, it possesses furious power. Adam can draw on several powers invested in the blade to use in battle, or use the simply overwhelming size and power it gives him to crush foes. It can unleash waves of holy energy at a swing, or righteous fire can sweep down its length to bolster power, among other, more subtle abilities.

It holds a secret, however. The massive edge most see contains a smaller, thinner blade. By twisting the handle, he can draw this wavy inner sword, which compressed the destructive power of Saiyaku into the thin edge. This smaller blade is called Hakaisha.

Godling
Adam has often been called the Godling, a testament to his extremely deceptive strength and endurance. His blade weighs over a ton, yet he slings it around as on would a regular two handed sword. He can take more punishment than most demons, given his stone hard skin and dense body. Able to leap incredible heights and move at astonishing speeds, Adam has well earned the name.

Celestial Robe

A malleable robe made of living material, Adam usually wears it as a traveler's cloak. But it is also an armor, a mode of transportation, and a weapon. Able to shift into the forms of what Adam needs, the robe will contort into the required object or equipment for use. As a side-note, the Celestial Robe is quite heavy, weighing about 500lbs.

Adam Ruin pushed open the bar door's as he shuffled through. A high pitched shriek followed his every other step forward, as he dragged something behind him. A few moments later, and that something was revealed to be a ridiculously massive sword, the blade digging into the bar's floor nearly 14 feet behind the man. He drove a straight course through the crowd to take over the far corner. Taking a seat, he dragged the two foot handle to rest on the table before him, the supports groaning dangerously as they took the immense weight.

Adam Ruin rested for a moment, leaning back as he surveyed the room with his iron colored eyes. He looked up, sighed, and stood up. Placing a hand on the long hilt of his sword, he took a deep breath to bring his focus in. And then he threw the massive blade across his chest, taking it in both hands as he brought it to an overhead ready.

He stepped forward, slashing the blade horizontally bare inches over the heads of the patrons, spinning and shifting his hands until he struck a counter-stroke, again avoiding numerous decapitations by small margins. The twin steps and huge swings had taken him back halfway across the bar, where he neatly spun and reversed the blade into a thrusting lunge. This he pierced the bar doors with, twisting and shoving with the hilt to bend and break the wooden panels from their hinges. Taking a pause in the dance. He let the sword fall to the ground, and strode from the bar, once more dragging the ridiculously huge weapon.

Adam Ruin shuffled into the bar casually, ever other step accompanied by the grinding shriek of metal on pavement. He slowly dragged something behind him, and as it came into view, some would be baffled by it. First, one might mistake it for a staff, a five foot long bar of metal that Adam was simply to lazy to carry correctly. But a few steps more, and it was revealed that he was dragging a ridiculously large sword, the blade nearly fourteen feet long.

Adam seemed unfocused, but the antics of the only other bar patron in sight drew his iron-hued eyes in a passive stare. Shaking his head slowly, he began to drag the massive weapon behind him as he found a wall-side booth near the other man, propping the long hilt of the sword diagonally on the table. Leaving the sword where it was, he sauntered over to the counter.

Glancing at the other man, he spoke quietly. "Little bit excited for the morning, aren't you?"

Adam Ruin gestured his permission, leaning back against the bar counter with a ghost of a smile on his face. Saiyaku weighed nearly a ton in human terms, but this curious man was more then welcome to try and pick it up. "Go right ahead, just don't hurt yourself."

He was able to feel things that he hadn't seemed to before, in this, namely the emotion of amusement. Adam had his reasons for being here, but for now they'd remain to himself.

Adam Ruin shrugged to himself, pushing off the counter to stride over to the weapon's side. He gripped wide, each hand about a foot from the ends of the hilt. A sudden, sharp breath, and he lifted with explosive force, lifting the entire weapon several feet straight up. Slowly, he brought it around his side to rest the hilt over his shoulder.

Seemingly without too great an effort, and Adam had simply slung Saiyaku over his shoulder like a warrior casually resting his blade there. Smiling at the other man, he asked a question. "What's your name?"

Adam Ruin shrugged again. Pivoting, he checked to make sure Axith wasn't going to be in the way, and spun the sword around in one hand, leaping back so that he could throw himself and the sword forward. He rammed the blade a full four feet into the reinforced wall, about at the height of the average man's chest.

Releasing the handle, Adam stepped backwards, gesturing almost grandly. He took a moment to cast a glance around the bar, seeing others arriving and settling themselves in. The Fallen idly wondered if any had been witness to his display last night, though he shrugged again as he realized he didn't really care. Settling into the booth seat next to the impaled sword, he smiled. Murmuring to himself, chuckling.

"Mortals."

Adam Ruin decided to be blunt, just for the response he figured he'd get. The angel figured that Axith wouldn't believe any of his answers, but sometimes the truth was so ridiculous it seemed like another lie. Cavalierly, he gestured dismissively as he answered. "Oh, off to join a war, personally."

"Off to war and to ruin." The Fallen suddenly slapped his own forehead with his hand, groaning. "Sorry for being rude, the name's Adam. Fallen, from my angelo kin."

Adam Ruin held up a hand in an attempt to settle down Axith, gesturing to calm down quickly. He shook his head vehemently, raising a fist threateningly. "Now, now, don't go saying things like that. Breaking my sword's liable to get me riled, and you won't like that."

"I don't even know what this 'red beast' is, anyways. I've got a pretty good idea of who and what I'll be killing, and none of them are red, at least that I'm aware of." Slowly he stood, readying himself to draw the sword from the wall should he have to.

Adam Ruin raised an eye in questioning, taking a moment to try and puzzle out what Axith was rambling about. Why was he upset that he wasn't going to kill the red beast, if he was going to kill it for himself...

In a moment of sudden clarity, Adam saw the circular trap of his new acquaintance. "You still need someone to kill the red beast, and then you're going to kill them, am I right?"

Ruin repressed a laugh, the situation had grown comical. It was something of a relief to the Fallen, very little in the way of amusement and mishaps like this occurred above in Heaven. In fact, he'd had more fun since being Shorn than he had over a score of centuries waiting for His final order. Adam leaned back as he took his seat, a smile on his face.

Adam Ruin nodded, his smile vanishing as the subject content changed. It was understandable that this was the core of his erratic nature, a constant fear of death at the hands of this red beast, yet an excitable assurance that he would kill the creature's killer. "How is it a triangle of you dying if you know you'll kill the red beast's killer? If you know you'll kill them, then why should you be worried about dying then?"

He started taking an effort to track the course of the conversation. Logic was being twisted on itself, and only through effort could he keep a line through the snarl.

Adam Ruin felt confusion engulf him again, and slowly cursed in his mind. A new factor had been tossed into the equation. He let his natural thoughts and feeling give tone to his words, as he queried. "Money? What's money got to do with killing either the red beast or its killer?"

Ruin felt a familiar headache coming on, the crushing pulse he was victim to when things got complicated. He was a destroyer angel, even fallen as he was. Thinking was not what he did usually. For him, matters were...

Simpler.

Adam Ruin shook his head slowly, looking pointedly at the massive sword that Axith was sitting on. He would have figured that it would have spoken for him, that he didn't have any need for the explosives some mortals seemed so fond of. He did, however, offer a suggestion. "No, but if you're going to do that, might want to tell them your bomb vest is an armor that protects you from the red beast." He thought a moment more, and smirked. "Or make the bomb big enough to blow both the guy you hire and the beast to hell."

Simple. To Adam, at least.

Adam Ruin raised an eyebrow. This man was either beat on the head one too many times, or had something on his mind more worrying that dying and red beasts. "No, and I don't see why you would have gotten that impression."

The Fallen considered yanking the sword out from under Axith. With a mental snarl, he tossed the idea from his mind, settling deeper into the booth seat to endure what was likely going to be more circular logic.

Adam Ruin began to answer Axith, sighing before explaining. "No, I meant that you take bombs, and put them in a vest. A vest is a kind of clothing, usually has a lot of pockets, no sleeves, zips up in front. You put the bombs in the pock-"

Adam blinked himself, absorbing the other man's last words. He raised an eyebrow, half rising as he answered. "What the hell do you mean, getting me killed?"

Adam Ruin felt dangerously close to the edge of braining Axith. Only by repeating in his mind that Axith's nature drove him to explain things the way he did kept the Fallen's hands from his throat. He changed gears, holding up a hand in the universal sign for stop. "Alright, this needs a little explaining. This red beast is after you. But, you can't kill the red beast, you need someone else to for you. Then you kill them, but you're not sure you can kill them after they kill the beast. And you don't have the money to hire someone to kill it for you, and still kill the person you hired. Do I have it so far?"

He didn't wait for an answer, pressing on. "Then where in this whole cycle of death, does the red beast come after me?"

Adam Ruin slowly unclenched the fist he held under the table. He felt a trill of excitement about hearing how deadly the beast was, but the circling was infuriating. He decided to drop that line of conversation. "Nevermind, I wasn't thinking myself."

Rising, he gestured for Axith to move from the sword. When he had, Adam drew it from the wall, slinging it over his shoulder. He left with a few parting words.

"As much as I have enjoyed the conversation, I really must go. Till we meet again, Axith."

The Angelo dragged his sword from the bar.

Adam Ruin shuffled into the room at a slow pace, with every other step, a horrific screech ripped through the sounds of Gambit's. At first, one would think he was dragging a staff behind him, but once he moved further into the room it was shown that he drug a massive sword instead. 14ft long, with a 5ft hilt, the weapon was a leviathan, weighing about as much as it looked.

The Fallen felt a taint that was all too familiar amongst the Angelo, even after the centuries he'd walked on earth instead of heaven. Raising his eyes, they burned all too brightly at the sight of the Prince of Hell, Lucifer. Grunting slightly, he lifted the sword to swing up and onto his shoulder, the impact like two boulders meeting. Placing both hands on the long hilt, he started forward towards the demon.

To what ends, was all to easy to see, the murderous hatred in his eyes darkening their color almost to black.

Adam Ruin closed to within twenty paces of Lucifer before lunging forward, slamming the massive blade in a horizontal sweep that would scythe the demon in half. Utterly brutal and unmindful of those within the slash's path, Adam reinforced the title of Godling. He didn't even grunt with the effort of slinging the weight of the holy sword, such was his power.

Adam Ruin brought the sword out of the spin and onto his opposite shoulder, turning to face Lucifer once more. He'd felt the slight release of power that explained how the demon remained alive, just outside of range. Scowling, he began to spin the blade overhead, a white glow surrounding the cutting edges at he listened to the Prince of Hell's words. A grim smile came to his face as he heard, and he answered.

"I'd thought you remember what at Destroyer Angelo could do, Lucifer." Adam nearly spat the name. "And why they gave us these huge swords."

And then he let loose the power bound within Saiyaku. Holy arcs of light formed rings as he spun the weapon, settling around his body as he held the sword straight up in front of him. He turned the holy weapon 90 degrees, and the rings became blades that extended outward, blasting straight towards the walls of the bar as they seared the air with their holy aura.

Adam Ruin slowly strode into the room, every other step accompanied by the grating sound of metal dragging along behind him. The source of the sound was rapidly revealed as he entered, an immense sword of crimson metal, nearly twenty feet long in its entire. Yet he seemed to be moving its massive weight with pathetically little effort, yanking it along in short steps as he shifted around the edge of the crowd for an empty table.

Reaching one, he drew the five foot hilt and rested it on the table's surface, ignoring the protesting groan of the reinforced wood as the bulk settled on it. He sat in a chair nearby, looking around him with a casual eye of indifference.
