The transportation gate went up in a wall of flames towering above the city as the man stepped through it. The towering inferno let out it's own shrieking as the flames sucked in oxygen sounding as if the bodies of many were being lost to the flames. Aeson did not even bother to look back as he continued walking forward with staff in hand. He was here for a certain thing, thought what it was no one would know till he had his hands on it. His next target however were the spaceport and bridge he had no desire to allow anyone an easy escape except into the woods or sea if they so chose.

With the spaceport found he tossed force his staff which suddenly gained a life of it's own spinning around viciously in a circle in from the demi god as large beams of energy sprung force from the magic circle that took form in front of the spinning weapon. The energy made quick work of the platform leaving it to smolder with nothing more then dripping metal. The bridge being his next target was easy to find leading out across the ocean and onto the other landmass it connected to. He simply at this point slammed the end of the staff down at the bridges entrance ice quickly sprawling forth covering the bridge entirely before shattering the modern marvel of engineering to pieces as if it were a child's play thing.

Now all he had to do was wait for those he wished to speak to, to arrive. Which he promptly did by floating in the air in a cross legged sitting position hood over his face and staff resting on his shoulder. Blood slowly dripped from underneath the sleeve of his left arm and onto the ground.

As Aeson, or perhaps his staff, moved to attack the spaceport a duet seems to abruptly materialize out of thin air--a man sporting robes that obscure most of his body and an xatu by his side. "Xatu--Light Screen." he commands, a wall of light emerging to take the attack and shield the spaceport from harm. The man seemed to smile at Aeson, though it quickly became a scowl. His eyes were obscured, raising questions about how he could see.

"We were expecting you." he remarked in a subtly annoyed tone. "Did you think we would be blinde to such a great danger, that you would simply waltz in and snuff us out without a fight?" he asked in an all-too-casual tone, seeming to mock the other's plan. It was left unclear who this 'we' he kept referring to was, though it could be assumed that it was his Xatu. "I demand satisfaction!" the man proceeded to announce, a primal rage tainting his tone. His Xatu spread it's wings and emitted a hawklike cry in unison with him. Who was he? No names were exchanged, though the man could be identified as white and middle aged. A nameless guardian of the planet and it's inhabitants, evidently...

There was a sudden rumbling, even down here. Then, the entire would-be training gym shook violently. Without thinking, Miro reached out and grabbed Ceana's arm, pulling her through the water and close to his chest. Then, with a whistle, his instincts kicked in. "Grendel, grab Radio. Tyr, swim to the shallows and wait for me to get your ball." Both of them understood immediately, the Cradily lashing out with vines that seemingly appeared from now wear, quickly but gently enveloping and cradling the Slowking. Tyr followed Miro towards the steps, imitating his trainer's silence. Miro had no idea what was going on, but right now, his mind was firing a million meters a second, and although he was calm, he simply couldn't hear or answer Ceana over her own protest and questions. Right now, he was in crisis mode.

Once they made it to the steps, he set his partner down and turned to the other two, having fetched their respective balls from a nearby shelf. "Return, both of you. Ceana, come on, we have to see whats happening." Kobah had already started up the steps, but then stopped, turning around and taking her hand, a kiss to her forehead. "Everything will be fine and we can worry later. Come on!"

Aeson looked out from underneath his hood no emotions creasing his his mouth no hint of want or need just blank space that held an unsettling feeling. Then his voice was heard in their minds not spoken but still roaring with the strength of rapids through the heads of those that stood to oppose him.

"Stand before me and vanish, Stand against me and deteriorate. For the end and beginning have come." The words filling the heads of the two man and the creature beside him.

The mans staff snapped forth again spinning once more with a triple magi circle forming the bottom circle a blood red bearing runes and took form bigger than the staff. The second circle was smaller fitting inside the other one a bright yellow and the third outer most circle a brilliant white the same size as the blood red circle each hovering a few inches apart from the staff. Aeson hand took to a certain shape the staff sending out it's blast a white hot flame spewing with electricity around and a core of fire. The blast tore away at the ground rocks and such dispersing at the blink of an eye with the raw focused power of the beam. Aesons voice now a physical roared from above the inferno.

"Three stage circle of Solomon: Roar of the Demon King!" The blast continue on it's path towards the man.

Ceana allowed Miro to lead her, doing her best to keep up with him. Her head was spinning, she'd never felt tremors like that in Castelia City before. Not in all her time living there. She swallowed down her trepidation and tried to focus on what they needed to do now. As the reached the main floor of the gym, she immediately called out to her largest Pokemon. Ben was already rocketing towards her as fast as his large body would allow and Soup was standing up, wide awake. "Ben, Pan, stay near us. Soup, I'm sorry. I'm asking you to go into your ball for now." The only ball she ever kept on her was his heavy ball. In cases of having to move his slumbering form.

Soup simply nodded and Ceana returned him to the heavy ball, tucking it hastily into her purse as she scooped it up from the floor. "Ready, Miro," she spoke to him, her voice a little too loud and crisp. It was the same tone she'd use when they were trying to coordinate moves in double battles so long ago...

Arceus damn it. Ice? Was Kyurem on the loose again? No airship...then the roar of a terrible battle erupted. No intervention, someone was already there. No reinforcements from that direction, but people would want out. Those that could use the Fly HM would, but that left those that had to hoof it. No problem, the Titanium Titan was on the case! She made a note of that stage name for when she had the time to take bodybuilding seriously.

The portal to Terra was blocked off due to the battle, but there were still the bridge, ferry and egress north. People would flee towards whatever didn't require them to approach the scene, some would seek Burgh's guidance. It was still too early to figure out where her strength could best be utilized, so she got ready to mobilize by releasing her Aggron. A Skarmory would imply running away, but no, she was going to stand and fight this menace after what she saw on Terra so many times over.

The mysterious robed figure watches Aeson sightlessly for a moment, seeming to follow what he was doing by turning his head in spite of his covered eyes. He was observing the other, studying how he fought. "Xatu, future sight." he commands thoughtfully, taking advantage of the time Aeson spends prepping his attack to prep one of his own. "Do I look like a child to you, fit to squeal and scamper into the woods at the first sign of true danger? Even the women and children of this place will resist you with great ferocity." the robed man scoffed, flexing his fingers anxiously in anticipation of the next attack. It was a bit of an odd statement, singling out the women with the children; such was not a ruulan norm, not that this likely meant anything to Aeson. "Now--Protect!" he is quick to follow up. The oncoming attack was rather unsubtle, and he manages predict it without any struggle. A translucent shield of energy rises to the task and the blast slams into it, dispersing along it's surface into the air. The shield was left looking fractured, raising doubts about whether it could survive another blow of that magnitude.

"Bring your worst charlatan, and may Arceus have mercy upon your soul should you take any longer to defeat me. We would simply outlast you." the man taunted bitterly, calling Aeson out on the spot.

Aeson's expression still did not change as the mans shield splintered another of his attacks. The thought though that this man wanted his worst raised concerns about whether he truly cared for the people of the city. This meant little to him he was not here to commit complete unhinged chaos even if it was within his ability to do so. He was even more perplexed of a god showing himself in this fight as that would bring him closer to a goal he was wishing to obtain but never the less he still had to focus on moving the man in front of him.

The staff now spun away from Maro completely towards the sky above the man where it finally stopped spinning above him. Two circles appeared one directly below the staff medium sized and the color of sickly miasma green and the other circle projected below the two. There was no spoken word needed for this spell as the heavy blackish miasma spewed forth within the confines of the circles as if they were a container meant for it. This however allowed Aeson to prep his next attack which had him pushing forward with a quick step sending him towards the already shattered shield. His fists coming to life with a white flame as he prepared to land a devastating blow on the shield.

Kobah himself had quickly run to his office to grab his backpack and belt for his other partners, and as he came back down the stairs, returning all of them to their respective homes aside from Thor and Hel. "You two, come on, follow us. People are going to need help I think," Kobah instructed, opening the doors only to be assaulted by a large wave of silver fur, knocking him over. He realized who it was immediately, but he said nothing as he rolled over and began to get to his feet. "With an earthquake like that, people are going to be trapped. We need to get go-"

And he stopped. What was he seeing? What was that in the sky, towards the spaceport? What were these intensifying waves of both heat and cold, these rumblings, this...inexplicable sense of fear? "Ceana? We...we need to go..." Miro was stunned? What was happening to his home region? What pokemon-god was responsible for this? Was Giratina free? Was this like the Hoenn crisis years past? Reshiram and Zekrom? What...what was going on? "we...we gotta...go..."

White Heat brushed by Miro without a single thought, dropping a pink ball of fluff and whining at the feet of Ceana. Ceana moved to scoop up Candy, but Whit shook her head furiously and a bag fell from her neck, containing the pokeballs that Ceana never used. That they'd all agreed together didn't need to be used. Ceana stared at the bag incredulously for a few minutes before glancing up in confusion at Whit. "What-"

The question didn't leave her mouth before the glossy, crimson eyes of the Ninetail locked onto hers with firey determination. Ceana let out a small cry that turned into a simple gasp before she attempted to speak again. "Kobah." Her voice was calm and clear, almost detached. "We all need to go to the sewers. Right now." Ceana's voice almost didn't sound like her own, it'd fallen a few octaves and had a strange air about it. Without another word, Ceana returned all her pokemon aside from Whit and Pan to their balls, stuffing them into her purse and moving towards the door.

The robed man glances up at the staff, observing what it was doing. He makes a quick decision based upon what he already knew about Aeson's fighting style. "Xatu, psychic!" he commands. Xatu's eyes light up with a supernatural energy, space itself warping around the staff, disrupting and dispersing it's spell into the air whilst attacking the structure of the staff itself. The shield protecting Xatu simply... vanishes as it's attention shifts, leaving it vulnerable.

Or it would have, if an attack prepped not long ago wasn't due for arrival. Without any warning of it's imminent impact, an intense psychic force manifests itself in the form of an implosion in Aeson's path as he closes the distance between the group, threatening to violently suppress the demi-god's mind with mental trauma if he doesn't pull one heck of a 180. The robed man steps back, putting some distance between himself and the fight as he quickly attempts to formulate a new plan to keep himself alive.

Meanwhile, a jeans clad woman in a pink cap peers out from the spaceport. Jessica Stark puzzles over the fight she has finally managed to get a good view of. Well that's not right... There's only one pokemon! What's going on here? Was that man with the Xatu robbing that other man? Was that staff flying? Was this related to the warnings going around about the warp portal being destroyed? ...The sitaution seemed concerning to say the least. Welp. No time like the present to go investigate! She begins making her way out of the building.

Aeson was prepared for a counter the white flames surged forth through his feet acting as thrusters as he shot up into the towards his staff. The circle in the air may of been disrupted and the staff gone, blown away by the attack but the circle marked below their feet was still in good enough shape to use for another attack one that would cost dearly. The runes on the circle shifted changing shape the color remaining the same but the circle began to emanate a white hot heat that quickly turned into an upward explosion of white flames.

The focus Aeson was now able to put into the channeling all of himself into one attack instead of spreading himself out gave way to the explosion of the white flames that Aeson himself was even caught up in.

"Seal of the First Sanctum: Fire of the Divine!" the words quickly escaping his lips as the column of inferno quickly headed towards the lower atmosphere. There was time to act fast enough but it was clear anything caught within this hell of earth would quickly be nothing more then a shadow burnt onto the pavement.

Kobah was about to ask if Ceana was alright but...something told him he wasn't actually talking to Ceana now. "You're right. Its the safest place." Kobah then looked at Thor as gently as he could. "You know how to find me. You know this city. Go and help as many people as possible. AS SOON as it gets worse, or you feel uncomfortable, get in the sewers and find me. No risks. You know to keep Hel's ego in check, Thor. And Hel, you know how to guide him and help him deal with his frustration." The two pokemon nodded and then headed out into the chaos, and Kobah couldn't help but feel proud, and a touch worried.

"Alright. Lead the way...Whit. You're in the lead." He'd caught on quickly enough. This wasn't the first time it had ever happened. Sometimes in emergencies or when Ceana became too stress or flustered, Whit would do this.

As Ceana brushed past Miro, she touched his shoulder gently as if trying to comfort him. Her aquamarine eyes were clouded over and unfocused, but she smiled softly, almost regally at him before continuing out into the streets. "Pan. Clear our path. Kobah, stick close to Ceana." Pan obediently moved into the chaos, her large body commanding enough space for the rest of their small group to move through the crowd. "The nearest sewer entrance is that way." Ceana's hand pointed as Whit jumped up and began to dash towards their objective.

Though White Heat had left, Ceana didn't seem to regain her awareness. Whit's voice came from her again, "Move quickly. Once we've made it into the sewers, we'll have time to think about the full situation at length." Pan pushed through the crowds carefully, doing her best not to hurt anyone nor cause any more panic than was already had. Ceana kept herself right behind the large Pokemon, her hand extended out behind her.

For a moment Kobah didn't respond, his attention re-focused on his pokemon moving off into the distance, both of them already working hard, Thor by helping the trapped and clearing the pathways of debris and Hel by doing much the same as well as by using her mental resonance to assist people in staying calm. When she said his name however, Miro's mind snapped back to Ceana / Whit. She let him lead him for now, but something suddenly occurred to him. They didn't really have much protection at the moment. Whatever was happening, this was beyond what he could comfortable call a natural disaster. And White Heat had her own agenda, and he knew that Pan would do her best, but still, neither of them were on his partner's levels.

Right now, he needed raw power, and in a desperate bid, he'd have it. He released Loki from his ball, the Noivern instantly alert to the chaos in the air and seeming was about to take off but a sharp, biting whisper of "No," was all it took from Kobah. "You'll stay with me this time, Loki. Do you understand?"

Eyes fierce with defiance, the Noivern seemed ready to turn on his own trainer before backing down from its aggressive stance, a contempt filled gaze still locked on its features. But it listened. "Come. We're following the Ninetails."

The man tall and draped in a heavy scale/plate mail combination walked closer to the gathering near the fight. He carried a rather plain if not worn sword on his belt but the tabard over it was clean and a brilliant white with the red cross. He held a large spear in his right hand that made a slight thwacking sound on the ground as he approached the gathering with it. The clinking of the armor and the shield he carried on his back gave him no silence in his purpose driven approach.

Merek finally making it to the crowd with a few heads turned his way at his approach before he piped up with a question a deep thunderous voice leaving the metal winged helm he wore.

"Who happens to be fighting here?" His addressing to no one in particular though his voice over the ensuing chaos seemed to cause a few in the crowd to jump.

The robed man just sort of looks up at the torrent of fire approaching, hesitating a moment as he realized he had time to react. Well wasn't that convenient? "...Xatu, it's time to use tailwind!" he called out, taking a step back. Xatu seemed to look back and question him, a gesture met with a frown. "Now. You can endure this!" the robed man assured. He needed a pivot to go on the offensive now that he had scouted the other's offensive style and this was just what he needed. An aura seemed to surround Xatu, the air around him fluctuating to his whims.

As Xatu was consumed by flames the robed man raised a hand to shield his eyes, his free hand casually producing another pokeball. He primed it and unleashed a Medicham not far off. The aura that had surrounded Xatu now surrounded Medicham, empowering him with the power of wind. The medicham immediately balanced on one foot and raised his arms as if striking a pose for Aeson.

Nearby, the flames dissipate to reveal Xatu slumped where he stood. The bird pokemon almost seemed to have passed out standing, his body marred with burns.

"Medicham, don't hold back--Zen headbutt!" the robed man calls out. Medicham grounded itself with a thud, a stronger aura appearing around it's skull as focused willpower condensed into a deadly ramming shield. It then launched itself forward at a speed so fast many humans would have trouble registering that it had not simply teleported instantaneously, it's speed magnified by the power of wind to dangerous levels. It would suddenly be in the air, rocketing at Aeson like a kinetic missile.

Merek would had only recently joined the crowd and looking at the continued onslaught between the the few figures on the field of battle saw something that worried him. The man using the seals he knew very well. Aeson on the other hand had yet to see or take time to sense the arrival of the armor clad figure as a second opponent launched himself at Aeson leaving him no time to react or taking any counter measures besides lifting his hands up in a defensive posture across his chest. This looked to be the end of the mage here.

Merek however reacted more forcefully then was truly necessary. One moment he was standing with the crowd, the next had a crater in his place with a blur of motion his fingers barely gripped the leg of the monster headed towards Aeson. The other force caused the creatures flight path to be knocked off balance enough to leave Aeson with a glancing wound and the ability to still fight on.

Merek tumbled to the ground however creating another crate that dragged on for a few feet but left him standing but the gauntlet that gripped the leg of the creature was torn from his hand leaving him with the chainmail and cloth gauntlet underneath. He steadied his breath as he stood taller now with spear still in hand and his other weapons still clinging to him including the kite shield he wore on his back.

"Mess with him, you will have to fight through me!" Merek issued his challenge with the deep booming voice that echoed through the helm. Aeson still laid on the ground looking up at the man that had helped to advert a killing blow.

Jennifer would not stand for this. She flew forward. "Savages! Uncouth bastards! How dare you interfere in a one on one duel?? Throw out your lead and face me, fool!" she screamed at Merek. Castle was already prepped for taking a hit, and it shuffled forward, letting out a grunt. Less a battle cry and more a steely gaze, saving its energy for the fight ahead.

"Ready a Metal Burst, Castle. He's fast, but not fast enough to dodge his own attack," Jennifer advised, and the Bastiodon obliged, hunkering down and surrounding itself in a silvery luster. The goal was less to defeat the armored knight and more to make sure he was sufficiently inconvenienced from meddling further. Besides, there was no way this thing could be anything but a disguised Pokémon. No human could move that fast...hell, most of her partners couldn't manage to intercept a blow like that, let alone one so swift and powerful!

She spared a glance at the hooded figure with the Xatu. "Keep fighting, I got this new guy!"

Merek looked at the woman and her own creature the eyes glowing a bright white through the slits of the helm, he shifted his gaze at the attack coming towards him. He raised his spear in a defensive posture as the shockwave rushed towards him. That was a mistake not only he would regret but quite a few others as well.

"Aegis of Hephaestus:Torrential Reversal!" The words echoed the circle flaring up in front of the spear forming a large round shield bearing the head of a Greek gorgon on it.

The attack was absorbed by the shield then shot back not as a wave before but as a single concentrated blast that was aimed towards the man his metal bird and the group of onlookers behind him. Not only was the attack focused but it's power was increased one hundred fold and was ready to make a bloody mess of quite a large crowd.

Pan pushed through the crowd to where White Heat waited for them, the entrance to the sewers uncovered. Others with the same idea were filtering into the sewers as well, guided by a small wisp of blue flame that illuminated the entrance. As Pan approaced, White Heat quickly placed herself behind Ceana, tails brushing against her side. "Get to the sewers quickly," Whit spoke through Ceana. "I will meet you shortly."

Ceana's body went limp for a moment and she fell onto Whit's back with a short cry of pain. She rubbed her head and slowly stood as Whit gently turned to nuzzle her face. "Whit...be safe, please," she whispered. White Heat nodded once and bounded off into the chaos of the city, in the direction of Ceana's apartment complex. Ceana sighed softly and reached out for Miro's hand. "Let's go."

The robed man just sort of does a double take. He seemed to focus on Jennifer as she spoke to him, a scowl subtly gracing his face. Medicham landed nearby in a crouching position. "Xatu." the mystery man called, the bird pokemon's eyes suddenly shooting open in spite of it's wounds. Apparently he had been right--It -could- endure the hit! ...Though, it certainly looked like it was in pretty rough shape. "Telekinesis. Hold him." he remarked, gesturing to Merek. Xatu's wounded wings rose awkwardly into the air, a psychic aura manifesting around the pokemon and Merek. Suddenly a psychokinetic force was gripping him, attempting to lift him just enough off his feet to where he would be unable to get traction and then restrain him there long enough to get a hit in.

"Medicham..." the robed man then went on, grabbing his pokemon's attention before his gaze turning upon Aeson. "Are you satisfied?!" he demanded, his voice booming to be heard amongst whatever else might be going on in the area.

Meanwhile, those in the sewer are more concerned with falling somewhere nasty than they are any potential threats. Simple working folk, why would anyone want to targett them? They certainly didn't know. A handful are paranoid, but most--They've nothing to hide and don't know how to be any safer.

Meanwhile, Jessica arrives on the scene. Judging by her worn jeans and the crop top exposing her toned midriff one might assume several things about her. Her fists said she was ready to get involved. "...What'n creation's goin' on here??" she asked no one in particular, taking in the situation at a somewhat unsafe distance from the robed man.

"Ah, Jessica, allow me to show you!" Jennifer turned to face the Aegis blast. "Do it, Castle!"

Thanks to Thornstrike's interference, most of the collateral damage was avoided, and his Pokemon had been smart enough to let Castle cover the rest. Which was exactly what he was built to do. The glowing energy wave slammed right into its broad face...and stayed there for a second, gathering energy even as it pushed against the squat beast's four legged frame. Or more precisely, the nimbus of defensive power surrounding it.

After Castle's sturdy body proved equal to the task set before him (the fact that he was a rock/steel type and the reflected attack was flying-type helped a lot!), Jennifer called out her counter-attack. "Now, Metal Burst! Let him have it!" With an anguished cry, its body being taxed to the limit just from having to absorb so much punishment, the Torrential Reversal was itself reversed, half again the power coming right back at Merek in the form of a focused, concentrated ray going the other way. 150 times the original power of the Air Slash that the do-gooder had launched originally. He may have been able to intercept a Medicham with a tailwind behind it, but it was highly unlikely that his speed would get him away from the force of his own blow.
