PERSONALITY
Character's soft spot: Aleric has the odd tendancy of craving the positive acknowledgement of different strangers-he won't let someone walk away with a negative opinion of him on their first encounter.
Is this soft spot obvious to others? Yes; he's a bit loud about it.

Pride
Which of the 7 virtues does your character have?
Diligence

Good characteristics: Aleric Fowl is loyal-and not just to the SnC; he follows through on his word and does what he can to help people when they need it.
Character flaws: Aleric is like any air force pilot today-he feels like he kisses the sky each day and nothing can stop him.
Mannerisms: Aleric looks up a lot, as if in search of a bird.
Peculiarities: Sometimes, if Aleric spent the day in a nervous state over anything, he'll sleep on his roof, under the stars through rain or shine.
SELF-PERCEPTION
One word character would use to describe self: Fast
One paragraph description of how character would describe self: "I'm one of the best SnC pilots around. I fly in, I fly out, lots of explosions and slow motion effects. It's great. I'm also good on the ground-you could consider me the triple threat of the modern battlefield. I can zip behind enemy line, jet pack down, and assassinate a rabbit from then hundred yards. I had to do that one time, y'know. Yeah, that was a great story. It all started when..."
GENERAL
Jewelry/ other accessories? Aleric doesn't like to wear flashy things. He spends a lot of his time in his armor-for whatever reason-and always has the mission clock displayed somewhere on his helmet, so no need for a watch. He isn't a man of jewelry or (from his perspective) exotic tastes; he wouldn't be worth mugging.
Where does character live? Aleric has been provided with an apartment by the SnC, free of charge, for the duration of his shore leave.
With anyone? [Yes]/No
Spending habits: Frugal/[Spendthrift]
Any pets? No
Likes music? Yes
This sniper rifle was NOT made to tackle serious armor and fairs poorly when made to do so-it is an anti-personnel weapon, acurized for shots into vulnerable places at extreme ranges under extreme circumstances, not the pock-shot crap you see in the Call of Duty franchise.
Function: The J.O.C.K.E.Y., designed for pilots that don't necessarily expect to fly home, is more often referred to as the Stealth Suit Mk.II, which is something it almost directly derived from (the only difference being improved flare comp. and cushions for crashes). It has a built in stealth device that makes in virtually in visible by refracting light and creating a "Hollow echo." (The area in which the user stands looks slightly distorted as the light incorrectly falls and hits the viewers' eyes as a mirror might. The stealth only lasts for about 25 min. or 6 posts)
The suit is mostly bullet proof able to take most high caliber rounds. (10mm and lower pistols rounds are almost useless, 5.56mm rifle calibers are nerfed, and 12.7mm rounds are somewhere around the power of a normal 9mm pistol round. Of course specially shaped charges-such as ones that explode on impact-are still very much a threat!) The suit is also stab proof; most attackers find their blades slide along and away from his body after a pathetic impact. (For some reason, curved, thin blades like scimitars or something that combines crushing power with slicing, like a bastard sword or katana, are still something to be reckoned with. The suit was expecting small attacks, like combat knives-which still hurt if you aim right-or switch-blades) The suit has a high resistance to heat and cold temperatures; the insulation helps to mask the user's heat signature. The suit carries a more nerfed version of the invisibility, which is cheaper on power and functions so long as the suit is mostly intact: Chameleon (a good name hasn't been presented) This allows the suit to take on the same color, look, and texture of what ever the suit presses up against; anything not in contact, the suit can make guess work for-but it's generally 70% accurate on its estimates. Flurries of snow and sand clumps always throw it off.
The helmet has a flare comp, meaning it automatically polarizes if amounts of light are detected that are potentially hazardous or distracting to the human eye. It also has an induct for collecting larger amounts of infrared, x-ray, and ultraviolet light waves, then a little computer that-among other things-translates the waves into images the human eye and brain can perceive and understand. In other words: You might be invisible to the naked eye, but so long as you've got bones or a heat signature, Aleric is going to know where you are-the end of his shotgun.
Standard-issue combat knife. SnC soldiers are also supplied with combat knives and "letter openers" they hide on their persons if they expect ground-based conflicts in the event of being taking as a prisoner of war, and he usually keeps this "Shank" about him.
Traditionally ceremonial sword. Aleric keeps a space-somewhere-in the interior of his ship to store it, in the event of needing a sword. Because who doesn't need a sword?
"Civilian" clothing.
On all of his guns, Aleric has replaced every part with match-grade material, partially thanks to Talia Okami, his ship's engineer.
The story of Aleric Fowl:
'Tis easiest to start with his immediate childhood, a profane and unpleasant memory. As he was born to a human father and an elven mother, there were many disputes about how he should be raised and dress and talk. English or Sylvan? (Of course he learned both)
To all the world, in his infancy, his parents appeared to form a picturesque family. What a said joke that is: The only time Aleric's parents were not arguing, it was because his father was beating him and his mother was too drunk to notice (or at least pretended not to notice)
As you can imagine, Aleric was desperate to get out and seek hiatus among other people. Naturally the best option would be get off the planet entirely, where his parents could never track him.
So where to go?
A military flight academy, of course!
Aleric hit the books with the strength of many men, almost never to be found without a book or simulation controls in his hands. It was either earn his wings or go home, after all.
The academy was relatively easy to him-he took surprisingly well to everything that was thrown at him. He had a tendency to break curfew and sneak into the AR/Sim gaming rooms at least once every three days.
The SnC was not a glorious life. He took a part in several major conflicts of both land and space, from espionage to political assassination. The further along he got in promotions, however, the more he learned of the hypocrisy of every faction he had sided with or against-and thus he quit. He took a Firefly-class vessel and left, naming it the Thackeray Black after the historical figure. He would not quite consider himself a pirate-more of a mercenary of fortune. He has the skills to be an engineer, pilot, or soldier; there was and is little he could and can do.
