A device built into the body of Vaerios destined for places other than their home planet, this machine enables them to survive in hostile climates. Though it has limitations with temperatures exceeding 1800° C and below -80° C the system enables operation in environments lacking atmosphere or with high toxicity. It is capable of these functions by the admittance of liquids through the body's vascular system to protect from thermal and toxic conditions. Continued exposure to either of these may overload the system over extended periods resulting in death.
EBS: Exoskeleton Battle Suit - VR114-32
Built of synthetic plastics molded for absolute versatility in movement while enabling thermal dissipation and some kinetic dispersion this battle suit isn't designed for frontal charges, but as a cloaked suit. Equipped with electromagnetic pulsars on the arms these emanate electromagnetic fields that distort images and render the suit invisible. Thermography can still register the suit; however IR and UV imagery are distorted because of the nature of the cloaking device. Pulsars are also built into the hands allotting a certain degree of force and deflection to be applied to unarmed strikes.
ERG â Rail Gun [Reference]
This weapon has two parallel rails running the length of the gun. These are induced with an electric charge which then circuits through the projectile and fires it at high speeds instantaneously. This particular rifle reaches speeds of 8.35km/s and can travel great distances in order to pierce armour. This sudden burst of energy doesn't create any recoil, instead it gives off powerful heat which leads to the rails needing to be replaced over time. The projectiles in this case are spherical tungsten balls with a diameter of 9.6mm.
AER 6 â Sub Machine Gun [Reference]
Capable of a high rate of fire with minimal recoil this weapon is best used against lightly armoured targets or for suppression. Because of the small size and light weight it is easily manoeuvrable. In the hands of a trained soldier it's an effective weapon for close assault and defensive tactics.
SKK 3 â Assault Rifle [Reference]
The main rifle used by most Vaerios military personnel this weapon has a larger size round than the AER 6 and so is more aptly fitted to mid range combat. Though it has a lower fire rate the heavier round makes it more accurate and powerful. Pairing this with the under barrel plasma burst the rifle is adept at anti personnel roles. This weapon is also highly modifiable including silencers, sites, even extended barrels for higher accuracy.
IIW 621 â Automatic Pistol [Reference]
A fully automatic pistol this small calibre gun is designed to be used as a last resort. The small magazine size paired with short barrel mean that it is highly inaccurate, but very manoeuvrable. This makes the weapon exceptional in very close quarters, but altogether useless otherwise. Standardized with silencers these pistol have the infamy of being assassination weapons.
EBS: Exoskeleton Battle Suit - IS104-12
Made from a combination of many alloys and components create a dense metal with an extremely high melting point and phenomenal compressive strength. The heavy metal is used to bolster structural strength for the main components of the armour. Even with the high density metal the suit still exudes a 68 to 1 pound ratio in general, with an approximate 190 to 1 ratio from the load bearing legs. It draws power from two tritium boosted fission batteries that have a standard operational life of two years.
The design of the armour itself emphasizes on size and follows the general humanoid shape of two arms, two legs, and a torso. Angles inherent in the core piece are designed to deflect kinetic energy while metal composition is designed to dissipate thermal energy weapons. Thrusters to the rear of the core enable augmented forward movement at limited intervals. The arms and legs act moreso as shields than anything else and maintain complete rotational ability without harming the wearer. Though neither are integrated with weapons the pure weight and power behind the limbs liken them to massive wrecking balls. Optics utilizing thermography, infrared and ultraviolet are built into the core piece removing the necessity of a head unit. This also creates a slightly smaller profile for the armour, though in the grand scope it's negligible.
Deployable Omni Sensor Array
A heavily radar based sensor this device is resistant to radar jamming and has an effective range of 32km. It can be deployed from the back piece of the IS104-12 to limit interference of geological limitations and send visual reference back to the operator. Utilizing electromagnetic imaging the array is capable of identifying and tracking stealth cloaked targets. Though capable of sonar imagining, it is ineffective compared to simpler designs.
Tritium Thermonuclear Missiles (16)
Tritium based missiles are contained in a clusters of eight in each of the shoulder units of the IS104-12 and yield approximately 18 kilotons each. These concentrated missiles use a two step system to direct a powerful explosion designed to penetrate and disintegrate high density metals and disrupt electromagnetic shielding. With a flight distance under 4km, and speed of just 1300km/h these are primarily short range and designed against stationary or slow moving targets.
47mm HESH Auto-Canon (200 rounds)
High explosives rounds designed to strike and squash against metal and blast the surface causing spall rather than penetration are one of the two main guns utilized by this suit. The heavy rifle is attached to the right arm and runs parallel to it at all times. The barrel however is hinged and must be rotated into position in order to achieve accuracy at distance. Though the rounds fly somewhat slower than typical HEAT rounds, the intent is on destroying the crew, not the machine. At close range this rifle is still accurate and is akin to a shotgun slug ramped up to kill tanks. Against flesh these rounds rupture the internal organs and blast away layers of protection better than anything else.
35mm HEAT Auto-Canon (600 rounds)
Extremely powerful rounds designed to penetrate armour with molten metal these rounds decimate rather than destroy. Though of a smaller caliber the increased velocity of the rounds give them increased distance, accuracy, and above all else power. The barrel of the rifle feeds on the inner arm of the suit and extends no further than the wrist. A chain of rounds links to a canister along the rear of the waist allowing for greater amounts of ammunition.
