a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by Renssaerene

Description

Name: Alex Jaybree

Race: Human

Sex: Female

Age: 27

Alignment: Good/Neutral

Personality: Alex is very polite. She's always serious, hardly ever smiles. She's friendly when she needs to be, otherwise she's generally quiet and neutral.

Physical Appearance: Alex is rarely seen out of her suit, so this is quite a mystery.

Clothes/Armor:

The CS-27 combat jumpsuit is a marvel of engineering, being one of few issued to military forces. She does not use the standard colors, opting instead for red in general, with silver markings and stripes here and there. The suit also has a slight camouflage function, allowing the user to modify the color and texture over a matter of minutes. It is entirely airtight with an oxygen supply capable of lasting up to twelve hours, or further extended periods if the subject is put into stasis. Small jets placed on crucial areas of the suit also allow for enhanced mobility in vacuum, the life of which is a maximum of two hours, but can be recharged. In addition, the suit is made of an enhanced polymer that allows a small amount of protection from bullets, but proves sufficient in deflecting most small debris in vacuum. The suit has a number of pockets, slots, and assorted clips to hold smaller objects; two larger pockets on the thighs, a utility belt with ten small pouches and five magazine clips (Interchangeable to allow for more clips/more pouches).

The helmet of the CS-27 also has a number of capabilities. The shaded visor and HUD, and the Antenna which protrudes about an inch away from the back of the head being the most prominent. The helmet has a number of vision modes as well- Night vision, telescopic sights, heat vision, and a few others for miscellaneous tasks.. A voice modulator is also included in the helmet, allowing the subject to change their voice at will. A filtration system is included in the helmet for a steady supply of clean oxygen, which automatically closes if the suit detects radiation, toxins, etc. and reverts to the internal oxygen supplies. Flood lamps are included, in addition to several other small additions such as a detachable snake camera (One hour battery life if detached), radio system, sensory equipment with wind direction/speed monitor, and up-links compatible with most standard weapons and equipment of the EDN and affiliated groups. Similarly to the changing colors of the suit, the visor can change color, externally and internally.

Weapons/Items:

Alex carries a pistol, and two knives at all times. She's usually carrying a laptop, cell phone, and a pair of pliers.

Alex strode into the general vicinity of the Glen, not that she really cared where she was, as long as it was not that stupid bar. She'd barely gotten any sleep, and it showed on her fatigued facial features. Her hair was a short mess of black curls that were looking unruly, smooshed to her head in some places, as if she were still laying on them, and oddly spiked in others.

She stopped abruptly in the middle of the clearing, taking a brief inhale of the fresh air. Sticking her hand in her pocket, she thumbed over the pack of cigarettes she had, today was going to be drawn out. She refrained from getting one, for now, just standing there staring off into the distance.

Alex turned her head slightly in the direction of the snore, raising an eyebrow at the fact that something would be snoring in the middle of the day. She opened her mouth to say something, but stopped and thought better of it. She had an uncanny fear of being eaten alive, and if that snore had anything to do with a bear, or something of the like, she was pretty sure she didn't want to disturb it.

She turned quietly on her hell and faced the direction she'd heard the noise, catching a small glimpse of the gold thingamaroo that had darted behind the rocks. She tilted her head in a cat-like way, calling out a 'Hello' to see what reponse, if any, she would get.

Alex inhaled sharply through her mouth, not completly sure what to make of the... spider thing. She tilted her head back upright, logically thinking it was mimicking her. She shoved her hand back into her pocket, pulling a cigarette out of the pack, between two fingers. She kept her hand that way as she debated what she would do.

After a few moments of silence, she crouched down, as if she were trying to be on face-level with a child. "I'm not gonna eat you, or anything. Bugbot." That was about the best she could come up with.

Alex was slightly confused by its reaction to her, and fell on her backside from the abrupt movement it made. She stared at it for a good while longer before moving at all, sitting up again, sticking her finger out at him. She was trying to figure out what it actually was, besides the simpleton title of bugbot, although she thought it fit, anyways.

She cooed at him as best she could, which wasn't all that great giving the fact that she never cooed at anything. It amounted to a sing-songy, 'here kitty', sort of voice.

Alex Jaybree chuckled to herself, if this wasn't the coolest thing she'd ever seen, hell had frozen over. She moved her arm to curve in front of herself, tilting her head at the little thing. She poked it with her other hand, lightly enough to not push it off her arm. "What are you?"

Alex remained oblivious to Rio's presence, at the moment, her thought processes were consumed with her self-titled Bugbot. She stared at him intently, cooing nonsense at him. She had a rather wide, goofy, grin on her face, accompanied by the expression one would expect to see on a child in a candy store. This was just too cool. She pulled ehr face away from the bot, and then noticed Rio. "Oy've you seen this thing? Its just about the coolest thing since sliced bread!" She, of course not putting two and two together, only assumed the little bug would be as fascinating to him as it was to her.

Alex inwardly facepalmed herself. She felt almost ridiculous for not seeing that beforehand, how many randoms would just happen to be outside the one time she decides to unhole herself from the bar, and encounter a non-death contraption? She looked back at Rio, and then down at the bugbot. "I think its pretty cool, but then I know nothing about... it."

She still hadn't wrapped her mind around what 'it' was. Even with her whole computer-loving, Mecha tinkering habits. She'd never seen a robotic, spider. Which is generally what happens when you work on computers and aircrafts all day.

Alex raised an eyebrow at the mention of 'Dren', it sounded rather odd. But then, she was partial to bugbot, as it were what she'd set in the stone of her brain, in the last few minutes. "Well if you're not into smashing and bashing things, they generally get off quite well, mostly."

She tilted her head at Dren's clicking noises, they'd sounded much different when he was doing them in response to her. She felt a little proud of that, only she would think this made her special, in some way. She shook Rio's hand with her free one, nearly losing her balance, but catching herself before falling, again. "Er, Alexia. Prefer Alex. Not much of anything, at the moment."

Alex had to purse her lips rather tightly to keep from grinning, and heaven forbid giggling, at the sheer adorableness of Dren. She let out a light snicker, anyways, and glanced back up at Rio. He didn't look like a mean person, per se, which made her curious as to why Dren seemed so off-put by him. She wrote it off as a likeness to being around each other too much, the ting seemed human enough to get annoyed at someone.

"Love time! I couldn't ignore him much if I tried, the little bugbot." She cooed back at him again, "Adorable little, bugbot."

Alex poked at Dren again, totally consumed with his moving and whirring and all. It was safe to say she was easily entertained, for the most part. "Well he's a robotic spider, its a self-explanatory title." She stated that fact simply, not overly snarky about it.
Huffing she pushed her hand back into her pocket, it would help focus on the little botbug if he rbody wasn't telling her to go smoke, again. "What sort of name is, Dren, anyway? Sounds like dread, to me, and he's not too dreadful, it seems."
