Description

Full Name: Alohi Kalua
Age: 20 (132)
Sex: Female
Sexual Orientation: Straight
Race: Hawaiian Human
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 135
Build: Tall, with slight curves
Eyes: Dark Brown
Hair: Dark Brown

Personality

Personality: Alohi is a very proud and vain woman. She once believed herself to be the finest humans had to offer, but becoming a vampire has soured her disposition. While once she was wild and carefree, dancing and flirting for fun, she now doesn't take the time to even greet those she passes. Her heart is cold and she has stopped caring about anyone else. Scarred by the actions of her sire, she considers him the biggest threat to her continued existence.

Equipment

Special Abilities/Skills: She once wielded elemental magic, but it ebbed from her body as it decayed her. She was turned into a vampire to save her life, and now benefits from the strength, speed, and agility that comes with it.

History

Major Events: On the night of the ninth of August, while she was dancing for a Luau, she was approached by a regular looking tourist who requested a private dance because he was captivated by her. She accepted, being tricked by the compliment, and was taken to the edge of the sea, where the man turned into a elderly Hawaiian. He cursed her to die in sixty days for her vanity, but gave her magic, so she would not feel completely abandoned by her people. He then told her that if by the end of these sixty days, she had not changed her heart, her soul would die with her body and there would be no more second chances. She was then flung into a different world, where she awoke in the morning. After being lightly trained in elemental magic, the curse finally took it's tole on her body, leaving her on her deathbed. A vampire came to devour her, but was convinced to turn her in return for her becoming his possession. He disappeared, however, and she was left to flee her circumstances. No one knows where.

So begins...

Alohi Kalua walked down the stairs and into the bar, her head held high, as usual. She walked with a purpose to the bar and quickly ordered a strong drink from the bartender. She ran a hand through her hair and tapped her bruised fingertips on the countertop, waiting for something.

Alohi Kalua tilted her head and gave a small wave to Doji, with her bruised hand. And yes, the bruise was spreading down her finger and into the adjacent fingertips. She gave a small shrug before answering. "I guess. I had some weird dreams," she replied, hiding the fear that the dreams had caused.

Alohi Kalua tilted her head. "It was just an elderly Hawaiian man, all dressed up for a luau. He looked like a tourist at first, though. He changed into that old guy only when we were alone," she replied carefully. Her memory was horrible and she just couldn't pin down an exact description.

Alohi Kalua rolled her eyes at the memory. "He said that my vanity had corrupted my soul and that I would need to change my 'heart' in sixty days or when my body died, my soul would go with it. My karma brought it upon me, he said," she stated, contempt clear in her voice and putting air-quotes around heart. She watched Doji with curiosity. She appeared blind, but she made conclusions she shouldn't be able to without sight. Alohi was a suspicious and doubtful of those with disabilities and therefore assumed Doji was faking it.

Alohi Kalua tilted her head and quirked an eyebrow. That was a first. Vanity was usual a synonym with her name, back home. Of course, she hadn't exactly been feeling like she was at the top of the world since she had been given a death sentence. "Really? I can honestly say that surprises me," she stated, a bit sarcastically.

Alohi Kalua nodded slightly and thought on her words. Maybe she was right? No, she had never really considered herself worth much of anything, allowing the opinions others had of her to shape her. "Thanks, I guess. So, what do you plan to do to help me? Other than the fire stuff."

Alohi Kalua narrowed her eyes slightly, but glared at the table instead of Doji. "A garden of herbs? Are herbs all that's needed?" she questioned doubtfully. She sighed quietly and twirled her hair a bit. "Yeah, sure. Torn."

Alohi Kalua nodded and shook her head before standing. "I'm going to take a walk. I'll be back whenever," she stated quietly before hastily exiting the bar, leaving her drink untouched.

Alohi Kalua wandered after Doji like a lost kitten. She wasn't sure about some of this technology and was even less sure what they were doing here. She had followed the woman out of curiosity after spotting her on the way back from the walk.

Alohi Kalua stopped and stepped a few ways back before eying the shadows that appeared. She grabbed at the bracelet on her left wrist and shivered before calling out, "Me." She winced slightly as the strange items almost hit Doji and turned to leave. This wasn't her kind of thing.

Alohi Kalua felt something go past her and stopped in her tracks before turning slowly to watch Doji fight. This was a very strange place. She tilted her head, almost positive that no one blind could react that quickly and tried to convince herself that the woman was faking. She stepped back a few paces again as stones came from nowhere, but stayed in the arena.

Suddenly, there was a shadow coming towards here. She blinked helplessly a moment before her hand shot out in a protective motion and fire blazed towards the thing in a single stream of flame.

Alohi Kalua quickly scrambled backwards and only stopped when she was just outside the gates of the arena. She stood there, watching Doji with curiosity, but she wasn't going to get involved herself. She was a dancer, that was her hobby. Fighting wasn't something that even remotely interested her, but she was afraid being saved and trained by this Doji Kiriko might change that...

Alohi Kalua waved slightly, though now she was truly doubting if her hasty judgement of Doji's 'blindness' was true or not. She shook her head to rid herself of this thought and instead focused on the question. "Just me. Alohi," she stated, somewhat gruffly. She looked at the inside from her safe spot and tilted her head. "So, what was that just now?"

Alohi Kalua nodded and silently followed Doji to the bar. She wasn't going to comment on the fire...She hadn't even meant to use it.

Alohi Kalua sat as quickly as she could, at Doji's order and quirked a brow at the woman. "What is it?" she questioned, not bothering to whisper or quieten her voice at all. Her eyes flickered around the bar in confusion. Was there someone here she knew or something? Was she just deciding to be pushy today?

Alohi Kalua nodded to Doji and yawned. "I'm getting tired..." she mumbled quietly, eying the staircase that would lead upstairs and, eventually, to the room. She sighed and looked at Doji, either waiting for practice to start or permission to leave.

Alohi Kalua eyed the two newcomers to their table and sighed wearily before standing and waving goodbye to them all. She stood and rushed to the stairs, needing sleep desperately.

Alohi Kalua slowly walked into the bar, something she hadn't even attempted in a while. She was covered in blackened, marred skin that was still spreading from the tip of her left index finger, her curse that had yet to be stopped. Six days. She didn't care if people saw her like this anymore, but she couldn't just lie in bed in the room anymore.

"Anything strong," she called to the bartender before taking a delicate seat. Her skin was diseased and she looked like the living dead, but she still had time, and sure as hell, she was going to enjoy it!

Alohi Kalua shut her eyes against the other noises around her. She was disgusting and rotting, she knew, but she was utterly frustrated with herself and her condition. Despite Doji's attempts to help her control the elements in an attempt to save herself, the curse was progressing. The right side of her face was still untouched by the blackened curse, as was most of her right leg. She could control fire with the slightest thought now, but she was still dying.

It seemed there was no solution to this problem. That old man's curse would kill her, leaving no trace of the young beauty she had once been, the life she had once had outside of this world. She snapped her fingers, a flame appearing and disappearing between them. "I wish this had never happened..."
