Description

Full Name: Alohi Kalua
Age: 20 (132)
Sex: Female
Sexual Orientation: Straight
Race: Hawaiian Human
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 135
Build: Tall, with slight curves
Eyes: Dark Brown
Hair: Dark Brown

Personality

Personality: Alohi is a very proud and vain woman. She once believed herself to be the finest humans had to offer, but becoming a vampire has soured her disposition. While once she was wild and carefree, dancing and flirting for fun, she now doesn't take the time to even greet those she passes. Her heart is cold and she has stopped caring about anyone else. Scarred by the actions of her sire, she considers him the biggest threat to her continued existence.

Equipment

Special Abilities/Skills: She once wielded elemental magic, but it ebbed from her body as it decayed her. She was turned into a vampire to save her life, and now benefits from the strength, speed, and agility that comes with it.

History

Major Events: On the night of the ninth of August, while she was dancing for a Luau, she was approached by a regular looking tourist who requested a private dance because he was captivated by her. She accepted, being tricked by the compliment, and was taken to the edge of the sea, where the man turned into a elderly Hawaiian. He cursed her to die in sixty days for her vanity, but gave her magic, so she would not feel completely abandoned by her people. He then told her that if by the end of these sixty days, she had not changed her heart, her soul would die with her body and there would be no more second chances. She was then flung into a different world, where she awoke in the morning. After being lightly trained in elemental magic, the curse finally took it's tole on her body, leaving her on her deathbed. A vampire came to devour her, but was convinced to turn her in return for her becoming his possession. He disappeared, however, and she was left to flee her circumstances. No one knows where.

So begins...

Alohi Kalua nodded slightly and thought on her words. Maybe she was right? No, she had never really considered herself worth much of anything, allowing the opinions others had of her to shape her. "Thanks, I guess. So, what do you plan to do to help me? Other than the fire stuff."

Alohi Kalua narrowed her eyes slightly, but glared at the table instead of Doji. "A garden of herbs? Are herbs all that's needed?" she questioned doubtfully. She sighed quietly and twirled her hair a bit. "Yeah, sure. Torn."

Alohi Kalua nodded and shook her head before standing. "I'm going to take a walk. I'll be back whenever," she stated quietly before hastily exiting the bar, leaving her drink untouched.

Alohi Kalua wandered after Doji like a lost kitten. She wasn't sure about some of this technology and was even less sure what they were doing here. She had followed the woman out of curiosity after spotting her on the way back from the walk.

Alohi Kalua stopped and stepped a few ways back before eying the shadows that appeared. She grabbed at the bracelet on her left wrist and shivered before calling out, "Me." She winced slightly as the strange items almost hit Doji and turned to leave. This wasn't her kind of thing.

Alohi Kalua felt something go past her and stopped in her tracks before turning slowly to watch Doji fight. This was a very strange place. She tilted her head, almost positive that no one blind could react that quickly and tried to convince herself that the woman was faking. She stepped back a few paces again as stones came from nowhere, but stayed in the arena.

Suddenly, there was a shadow coming towards here. She blinked helplessly a moment before her hand shot out in a protective motion and fire blazed towards the thing in a single stream of flame.

Alohi Kalua quickly scrambled backwards and only stopped when she was just outside the gates of the arena. She stood there, watching Doji with curiosity, but she wasn't going to get involved herself. She was a dancer, that was her hobby. Fighting wasn't something that even remotely interested her, but she was afraid being saved and trained by this Doji Kiriko might change that...

Alohi Kalua waved slightly, though now she was truly doubting if her hasty judgement of Doji's 'blindness' was true or not. She shook her head to rid herself of this thought and instead focused on the question. "Just me. Alohi," she stated, somewhat gruffly. She looked at the inside from her safe spot and tilted her head. "So, what was that just now?"

Alohi Kalua nodded and silently followed Doji to the bar. She wasn't going to comment on the fire...She hadn't even meant to use it.

Alohi Kalua sat as quickly as she could, at Doji's order and quirked a brow at the woman. "What is it?" she questioned, not bothering to whisper or quieten her voice at all. Her eyes flickered around the bar in confusion. Was there someone here she knew or something? Was she just deciding to be pushy today?

Alohi Kalua nodded to Doji and yawned. "I'm getting tired..." she mumbled quietly, eying the staircase that would lead upstairs and, eventually, to the room. She sighed and looked at Doji, either waiting for practice to start or permission to leave.

Alohi Kalua eyed the two newcomers to their table and sighed wearily before standing and waving goodbye to them all. She stood and rushed to the stairs, needing sleep desperately.

Alohi Kalua slowly walked into the bar, something she hadn't even attempted in a while. She was covered in blackened, marred skin that was still spreading from the tip of her left index finger, her curse that had yet to be stopped. Six days. She didn't care if people saw her like this anymore, but she couldn't just lie in bed in the room anymore.

"Anything strong," she called to the bartender before taking a delicate seat. Her skin was diseased and she looked like the living dead, but she still had time, and sure as hell, she was going to enjoy it!

Alohi Kalua shut her eyes against the other noises around her. She was disgusting and rotting, she knew, but she was utterly frustrated with herself and her condition. Despite Doji's attempts to help her control the elements in an attempt to save herself, the curse was progressing. The right side of her face was still untouched by the blackened curse, as was most of her right leg. She could control fire with the slightest thought now, but she was still dying.

It seemed there was no solution to this problem. That old man's curse would kill her, leaving no trace of the young beauty she had once been, the life she had once had outside of this world. She snapped her fingers, a flame appearing and disappearing between them. "I wish this had never happened..."

Alohi Kalua took a sip of whatever the bartender had figured was strong enough and stopped snapping her hands and summoning fire. A strained laugh left her cracked lips before she finally let her eyes wander around the bar, taking in all the patrons. She felt inexplicably angry at the amount of couples, an anger caused by her own loneliness. She shook her head and returned to nursing her drink.

The black, decaying skin that covered her creaked with her movements and she squeezed her eyes closed, fighting the urge to burn off the skin, knowing full well how little help that had done last time.

Alohi Kalua got up and threw her glass at the wall of the bar. Okay, maybe exitting her room hadn't been the best of ideas. She probably should have just stayed in her room to rot to death in peace. This place only got on her nerves...The people here were too normal. There was too much kinship. She had no one, and she felt the fires of jealousy. She would never have anyone again, because she was dead and decaying, inside and out.

She kicked the counter and moved back to the stairs. Six days...

Alohi Kalua walked down the stairs, worn and angry. Her eyes flitted about the bar, and recognizing no one, she stomped over to the bar and sat herself down. Her anger quickly faded to tired resignation. She was running out of time...And quickly. Most of her skin was now blackened, charred, and decaying. Four more nights. That's all the time she had.

"Anything strong," she mumbled to the bartender, forcing her voice through cracked lips. Just the upper right quarter of her face was still the beautiful tan she used to be. Only her right foot on the rest of her body was free of the curse. She looked like the living dead and she didn't have the strength in her to act otherwise.

Alohi Kalua finally realized that a single tear was trailing down her left cheek from the reddened and deathly glazed eye. She wiped it away wearily, a soft sigh now leaving her decaying lips. Dying and all she could do with herself was try to enjoy her last few days in a bar.. Lovely.

Alohi Kalua took the glass proffered her by the bartender and took a large gulp, ignoring the strange creaking coming from her blackened and decaying skin. She squinted her eyes shut and shook her head against the strong taste, wiping the corner of her mouth carefully. The one good eye left looked around the bar, the cursed one glazedly imitating it's partner's movements as best it could.

Alohi Kalua sat the glass down again and just shook her head, ignoring the tears pouring from her 'dead' eye. She stumbled back to the stairs, leaning heavily on her one good foot as she went. She wouldn't even be able to make it down the stairs soon...She didn't even know why she tried anymore.

Alohi Kalua limped down the stairs tiredly. Her right foot had finally been taken by her curse, becoming blackened and decaying like the rest of her skin, save the upper right quarter of her face. She looked like the living dead, no remnant of her former beauty to be found save her one working eye. Three more days...Three. Her time was flying by quickly, she couldn't stand it. She sat at the bar carefully and mumbled through cracked lips for the bartender to bring her anything strong.

Alohi Kalua nodded blandly to the Bartender and tiredly placed the said amount on the counter, not truly paying attention. Doji had given her some money, though it wasn't like there was much for her to buy save alcohol. She didn't have the inner strength to leave the bar anymore. A single brown eye swiveled over the other patrons tiredly. They were all so lucky...She envied them.

Alohi Kalua heard a voice in her head and her one working eye went blank for a moment before her head swiveled all around, as if trying to find the source. She had been told of and seen mind readers/talkers, but this was the first instance she had actually heard a voice in her head. Maybe the stress was getting to her..."Hello?" she thought questioningly.

Alohi Kalua blinked and focused on the counter in front of her, clearing her mind. "That's what everyone keeps telling me. The decaying skin is a slight hint, too," she thought back, putting as much sarcasm in her mental voice as she could.
