Description

Alois Cadenza

Personality.

His personality is as flamboyant as one would expect from his rather unique style of spell casting; as his medium of attack is that of dance and rhythm, he carries a certain desire for life and movement into everything he does. At heart he is an optimist, who tries to see the best in all people he meets, regardless of species or background and as such he tends to make friends easily, even to the more reclusive of peoples.

In general he allows negativity to simply bounce off him; being unaffected by people's often poor views on his flamboyant nature (they don't know any better, of course) and this can sometimes cause others to dislike him, as he can sometimes seem aloof and snobbish; however it is nearly always harmless in nature and not to be taken seriously.

Alois has a terrible weakness for anything of beauty, ranging from beautiful people (he can be a fiendish flirt when he wishes to be), to art, to the simple beauty of leaves fluttering on the wind and so he often looses himself in his musings that become more poetic and theatrical as time goes on. Sometimes this can irritate people, but he will stop if he is told... Most of the time.

Surprisingly, he has a lust for knowledge regarding all forms of magic as he is currently writing a book entitled "The Compendium of Magic and its Many Wonders." and he hopes to create the deepest pool of knowledge in the known world within its pages; as this suggests, he has no limits to his enthusiasm.

So begins...

Alois Cadenza grew slightly bored as it seemed no one would respond to his rather elaborate entrance, trailing a finger over the feather that adorned his tall hat and wandered towards the bar, a slight skip in his step (much as there always was). “I say, might there be a tender on duty?” He asked happily, arching a slender blonde eyebrow.

A gloved hand moved to rest lightly upon the counter top, brushing off a long line of dust, glancing at it with a small degree of distaste in his expression. He then idly flicked the dust from his pristine white glove and placed the hand upon his hip, sighing quietly as he waited for some service.

It was then that a yodelling came to his ears, and he twitched slightly, a hand covering his ear, turning slowly to the source of the sound. “Oh my word... I have never heard such a noise... How very peculiar...” He blinked slowly, a fingertip resting upon his lips. “All forms of music are... Somewhat beautiful, true... But this... Stretches even my limits...”

Alois Cadenza wrinkled his nose slightly at the yodelling continued, it bordering on being offensive to his senses and he found himself, for the first time in hsi life, wishing that a lady had not singled him out of a crowd. He coughed quietly and tipped his hat down slightly to cover the upper half of his face, hoping that the woman would lose interest. Not so.

He sighed and looked back upward, sniffing slightly as he caught the (literal to him) scent of magic lingering about the young woman’s form and chuckled quietly to himself. “A bard, is it? I was under the impression they created enchanting music... I must add this to my notes...” As he spoke he whipped out, as if from nowhere, a small black notebook and flicked through pages, far too many for the book to not be somehow magical, a pen crackling into existence in his left hand before he scribbled down hastily, snapping his fingers once done; the book and pen vanishing.

“Oh my...” He voiced as he noticed the woman was now upon the floor and, despite her odd musical talent, he took it upon himself to be his usual flamboyant and flirtatious self. He moved to kneel lightly before her and the dog, offering a gentlemanly hand. “Ladies should not sit on the floor in such a manner; it is unbecoming to one’s beauty, don’t you think?” He smiled brightly, nodding to his hand.
