He fights with ferocity and often-extreme cruelty, rarely inflicting the killing blow until his target has been totally disabled and humiliated. However, he does seem to have some small shred of humanity left in him. Vladimar also has a very big ego, and frequently taunts his opponents. However, because of this arrogance, he can sometimes be taken by surprised. Underneath this attitude, Vladimar seems deeply sad and envious of humans, because they are blessed with the gift of death. He regrets his decision to become an immortal. Also, Vladimar holds high esteem for humans who take pride in themselves. He respects humans that show bravery. In contrast, he despises most other vampires because they seem to kill without cause. Alucard is not entirely against immortality. Rather, he believes it is something to be earned.

Vladimar clads himself in the garb and armor of knight of the medieval era. Draped in a suit of steel plate armor, he can stand as a very intimidating foe to even the most seasoned of warriors. A long tattered black cape and cloak flows behind him, marred by centuries of combat.

Sangentis, the Blood Drinker

"Long ago I was tasked with defending Man from supernatural threats - search and destroy - even if Man himself stands in my way. What better to slay a monster than another monster?" he chuckled. "Whoever gets in the path of my mission become part of my path of destruction... They are simply obstacles. I feel no remorse or regret because of them simply being pawns put in the path of the knight."

"Absolutism is a myth." he grinned. Truly this man was either insane, or has accumulated centuries of wisdom that was beyond the comprehension of most. "Just like immortality... There is no such thing as true immortality. Every Goliath has a David - every Achilles a heel."

"So..." he eyed the man. "Is there a purpose for your presence here, or do you simply wish to discuss the workings of the Universe?" Alucard chuckled with his sarcasm.

Alucard laughed. "An Organization that has long been extinct. You could say that I am the last of the Hellsings. I simply act out the dying wish of my late master - the last of the Hellsing bloodline."

"The Hellsing Organization was always a victim of controversy. After all, we were supposed to an order of religious knights that fought to eradicate undead, but the irony was that our strongest weapons [i]were[/u] undead!" Alucard laughed in amusement, revealing his incredibly sharp pointed teeth.

Alucard nodded. "Many catastrophes were halted or avoided in Great Britain by my smoking guns and hungry familiars. I have met only a small handful of other vampires that have been able to put up a meaningful struggle against me."

Alucard sighed as he crossed his legs and folded his hands over his knee. "They just don't make vampires like they used to anymore..."

"Back then we actually had some dignity and self-respect!" he hissed. "Well have a pleasant night, and remember to check under the bed for monsters." the elder vampire grinned wickedly.

After giving the pub a final look over. The mysterious elder vampire faded into the shadows.

In the corner of the infamous bar sat a lone figure. He was clad in a classic Victorian style charcoal suit, leather riding boots, a flamboyant, intricately knotted red cravat, a blood-red duster, and a matching crimson fedora with a wide floppy rim. A pair of circular, tinted, wire-framed auburn shades concealed crimson eyes that watched the workings of Sirad with mild fascination. Two white gloves gripped his hands. One lightly held a wine glass filled with a deep red liquid. The figure scanned the other tenants with mild interest. There was an aura of confidence about him that set him apart from an average man.

"It is a fine night tonight..." he thought to himself.

Alucard grinned in amusement at the demoness. "Having fun, milady?" The man lifted the wine glass and took a sip of the red liquid. It slowly flowed down the wall of the glass and into his mouth. He set it down on the table with a soft clack. Some of the red liquid trickled down his chin.

His lips peeled back in a wicked grin.

Alucard paused in thought while observing the woman through his auburn shades. "You are an ancient spirit housing itself within a human body - a human body that was in the midst of change. It is natural that some of its 'humanity' may be effecting you..."

"Well what was your original reason to possess her? Was it an impulse, or was she a stepping stone?" he raised an eyebrow.

"And here I thought you were the epitome of indifference." he chuckled darkly. His borderline-psychotic grin never broke. "So it was a combination of several things... What's done is done, now you must decide which road to take. To be, or not to be... I believe that's how the saying goes, yes?"

Alucard was about to speak before a hell-hound attempted to gnaw his face off. With a blur of his wrist, the elder vampire revealed a long cylindrical object. BANG! Gripped in his hand was a large pistol. It was far larger than any human could wield effectively, and bore an iconic over-sized barrel. Engraved along the slider was the inscription "Hellsing 454 Casull Auto".

Smoke flowed from the nozzle. The hell-hound virtually exploded as a devastating hole was torn through its body. Demonic blood and gore splattered on the ground. The demon collapsed on the floor like a sack of rocks.

"Perhaps we should close that thing before those fellas cause too big of a mess, shall we?" he grinned.

Without waiting for a reply, Alucard lifted his hand and directed his palm towards the portal. The runic pentagram glowed with a blood-red aura. Suddenly, the portal began to shimmer and quake before it collapsed.

"Humans..." he laughed. "Never quite understood them. Can't live with 'em, but you can't live without them!"

"As for your statement... I suppose so. I have preferred a more solitary life myself." Alucard abruptly paused at the woman's next question. "...Yes. Only Seras and I are what has survived of the Organization."

"Only a Man can hope to slay a Monster..." he gave a subtle smile. It was a philosophy that he had used countless times over the centuries. "To this day I hope that it will come to pass in such way."

A dark chuckle pierced the stillness of the tavern as the room grew a few shades darker. From the far wall of the room emerged a sliver of red. The brim of a crimson fedora came into view as a tall man literally stepped through the wall as if it were air. He was clad in a matching blood-red trench-coat and classic Victorian style charcoal suit, leather riding boots, and a flamboyant intricately knotted red cravat. Auburn glasses glistened from the light of a nearby candle. White gloves wrapped his hands. Across his face was a near psychotic grin.

"Well well... Hmhmhmhmhm..." the mysterious man eyed Sirad. "Is the fish starting to pull the fisherman into the pond?"

The mysterious man in red removed himself from the unnaturally thick shadows in the recesses of the bar and ventured across the room. The wide floppy brim of his crimson fedora concealed the majority of his face, except for the auburn shades that glistened in the candle light - and the unnerving sneer that spread across his face. The tail of a matching red trench-coat flowed behind him as the steady clunks of his thick black boots hit the hardwood floors. White gloved hands hung loosely and open at his sides. Emblazoned across one of the gloves was a runic pentagram. There was a confidence about him that sat him apart from the average man.

As Alucard strode across the room, he could feel the crowd hush at his presence. It amused him. The man sensed the unease of the Scatterran and relished in the scent of her fear. There was also the man - whose aura he could see clear as day. The man in red observed him through the auburn tint of his glasses.

Alucard gave Nereus a wicked grin.

Alucard simply stared at the man for what seemed like an agonizing eternity. His borderline-psychotic grin was never broken. Finally, he lifted his hand and tipped the rim of his fedora in greeting.

"It is a fine night tonight. Don't you think?" he said calmly. His voice bore a mishmash of European accents.

"It depends..." he replied. "Is solitude what you seek? What can acquire different things from either community or solitude. It all depends on what leads you to acquiring felicity. For some this night may be the epitome of their existence, while for others it would not be separated from any other. However, for some it could spell the end - or may even be the end."

Alucard smirked at the man's reaction. Bingo. "Perhaps then the life of solitude would better suit the unliving. I would not doubt that there are some that desire separation from their fellow Man. After all, many have walked upon this earth."
