Weapons:

  • Knife in her boot
  • Short sword attached to her back
  • Magic
  • Pistol that Kurtis gave her

History

Her history is long and complicated. Basically she was stolen from her coven in the dead of the night when other people were killed and ended up out in the world on her own when she killed her captors. She knew absolutely nothing about the outside world, and at one point ended up being owned by Rufus Klane, who used her as a performer and prostitute in his club, and kept her prisoner there along with other girls whom he beat often, etc. She escaped, eventually, and has been running ever since, not only from Rufus, but also from people who find out about her along the way and want to use her for her power and steal the crystal that she was born with embedded in her hip.

Since she's arrived in Wing City, she's trained under Connor as an assassin, to be able to do something a little more with her time.

So begins...

Alyssa stood up, walking over to Adiana, reaching out her hand to shake it. "That was some pretty good singin up there," she said, leaning against the bar beside her. "I'm Alyssa, by the way," she said, shaking Adiana's hand firmly. "I'm kinda new around here." she shrugged and turned her attention with alarm back to the fight in front of them, wondering if she should step in, her protective instincts telling her to step in. Maybe in a minute, she tells herself.

Next to Adiana, Alyssa felt a bit plain. She was tanned, and it wasn't that her chest was not gifted a'plenty, but the clothing she wore only accentuated their size, although you could not see her cleavage. She had had enough men gawk at her for a lifetime. She shrugged the lesser feeling off, lifting an eyebrow when the teenager seemed to call someone. In confusion, she stared, and listened to the footsteps on the approach. Her bracelet jingled a little bit. Danger.

Alyssa felt herself getting angry as she watched this kid pick on people and summon some sister? Please. Alyssa rolled her eyes and, the alcohol doing more of the talking than she was, stood in front of Markuss and faced Yutihi, her arms crossed in front of her. "What is your problem?" she demanded, planting her booted feet firmly onto the ground, "He didn't do anything to you. You pushed him and he didn't even touch you. And now you're going to go calling some sister? What ever happened to you being able to take care of your own issues? Just knock it off, okay? There's no need for this shit." The sober part of her was telling her to shut up shut up shut up but she continued to stand there firmly, her arms crossed in front of her.

Alyssa Marina walked in through the front doors, pulling her hood back over her head and shaking out her hair. She had cleared out the night before before things could get too hairy and slept someone hidden in the city. She had stolen bread from a market, and some money from a man trying to swindle a family. Her coin purse was filled with funds, and was tied to her belt. She made her way into the establishment, startled a bit at the ruckus before moving to the bar and sitting on the stool, leaning against the bar, one long, tan, toned leg, out from under her leather skirt, crossed over the other.

Alyssa Marina stared at the situation, biting her lower lip, and watching as Crescent threatened away. She reached into her bag, taking out a small leatherbound book, untying the leather strap around it before flipping through the pages, already feeling the knowledge of the words vibrating under her skin. She wasn't going to get involved this time, because that went oh so well last time, but maybe she could give the woman some protection. She furrowed her brow in concentration, flicking her hair out of her dark eyes.

Alyssa Marina Frowning, she stood up, making her way slowly over to Crescent. She kneels down in front of him after kicking the sword away. She sets her book down beside her knee and holds out her hand a bit, hesitantly, just far enough to be out of reach in case anything happens. "Is there anything I can do to help?" she asks quietly, recognizing a troubled soul when she sees one, almost mirroring her own tired, desperate, soul.

Alyssa Marina Her eyes wide with a mixture of mixed feelings and fear, Alyssa tries to yank her hand back, instinctively, but finds his hand is grabbing onto her too hard. "Um..." she is naively attached to the idea that she is helping Crescent, but the logical part of her brain is screaming at her to ask for help. She can only make a small strangled noise as she tries to reach her free hand to her spellbook, but the pain in her wrist keeps her from effective movement.

Alyssa Marina fell on her side, right as he let go of her arm. She made a face of discomfort, eyes shut and mouth in a grimace before pulling herself to her knees, grimacing and reaching for her book. She found the spell she was looking for in a moment, and threw her hand out, mumbling strange words, a strange what would be impenetrable were she not weakened field surrounding her. Her eyes gleamed red for a split second and moves to stand unsteadily beside Kurtis, extending the field around him as far as she can, unfortunately having to leave his left side unprotected. "Hey," she says, holding out her good arm. "You got what you wanted, didn't you? What are you doing?"

Alyssa Marina Alyssa, walked over to her bag, pulling out a bandana and wrapping it around her wrist, still trickling down her arm as she spoke to Crescent. "I'm not sure what that means, but just remember that attacking people might not be the best alternative." she paused as she straightened her white, off the shoulder, shirt and pulled down her vest a little bit. She reached down to the ground and picked up the knife that she had dropped, slipping it back into her boot. She stood up and finally straightened her mid-thigh length maroon leather skirt and held out her hand to him. "I'm Alyssa by the way." she said.

A moment later, she turned to Kurtis and stepped toward him. "Thanks, by the way," she said, the corners of her mouth lifting in a little smile. "For helping me out."

Alyssa Marina She walked toward Crescent, as Kurtis made his unexplained leave. "Hey," she said again, resting her good hand on his shoulder, "What's wrong? Maybe I can help. If it's something physical that's ailing you, I've got lots of remedies, and as you probably saw, I'm something of a witch. It makes my heart ache to see you in pain. Why don't you just let me help you, hm?"

Alyssa Marina Alyssa smiled, "I'm Alyssa. Not really from anywhere. Want to get a drink?" she asked, holding her arm out toward the bar. "C'mon," she said, "I don't bite." she gave him a wink.

Alyssa Marina She reached out her hand, beckoning him to follow her as she went to the bar, pulling herself up onto the bar itself, putting her feet onto the bartstool. She saw the disapproving look from anyone watching, but she just smiled, ordering a couple shots of whiskey. She hesitated before asking Crescent what he wanted, unsure if he drank anything but blood that he so obviously liked.

Alyssa Marina Alyssa was still ruffling out her wet hair when she came into the bar. A hot shower had done her good, nevermind the house that she took it in wasn't hers. Maybe she would even stay in this city for a little while. Get a job even. She chuckled and reached into her pouch, pulling out a small handful of stolen coins before ordering a steaming bowl of chili, pulling it toward her. She glanced around the room, as she took a sip from the mug of tea in front of her.

Alyssa Marina She turned her attention to the people having a conversation near her. She took another sip out of her tea and continued to eavesdrop, her head cocked to the side.

Alyssa Marina She had been sitting at the table, twirling her finger through her wet hair, making her hair even more curly than it already was. She jumped a little bit when someone was at the table. She looked up to see Markuss and gave a little smile at his questions. "Yeah, we've met." she said, nodding her head, "I was the dumb tipsy woman who was here that night and yelled at some kid. I don't remember much else." she smiled and gestured her hand toward the chair. "Not at all, take a seat, Markuss."

Alyssa Marina She laughed, shrugging her shoulders. "I've got a big mouth," she explained, as if it needed explaining. She frowned a bit at the pained expression, biting her bottom lip and giving a concerned look. She was shaken out of her thoughts when Markuss asked for her name. "Oh, right, sorry!" she said, holding out her hand for him to shake. "I'm Alyssa."

"More left and slept under a bridge somewhere." she joked, although also totally serious, "But that is 'just fine' compared to other situations that could have arisen." She smiled and leaned her hand out, catching him under the chin and smiling. "Don't worry about it. I really can't even tell." She smiled a bit wider before turning over her shoulder, waving at Andrew.

"More or less made it." she laughed and shook hands with Andrew. "I'm all right. Just sitting around with Markuss." she gestured to Markuss, sitting with her at the table.

"It's because you're intimidating," Alyssa leaned in and joked, "You're too advanced in coolness. They wouldn't feel right saying hello to you without being addressed first." she winked and turned to the other two, raising an eyebrow at Andrew.

"Lucky you," she said, half laughing. She turned her attention to Void, "And yes, I'm fine enough, thanks." She smiled before looking back at Markuss, smiling again.

She smiled at Andrew, nodding her head a little bit. "Maybe I'll take you up on that," she said, and leaned back in her chair. She turned her attention to Markuss and laughed as he spoke, putting one hand on her thin, flat stomach as she leaned back and let out a giggle. "Oh, look, Mister Tough Guy," Alyssa joked toward Andrew and accepted Markuss's offer for a drink. She remembered how he sat down with a pained look on his face, and worried that it hurts him to move too much. With that in mind, she stood up and glanced around. "I can go get them." she said.

"After seeing your crazy person moves yesterday? I think I'll pass, thanks," she laughed toward Andrew.

Her smile faded a little bit when she saw the money in the wallet. That would feed her for weeks! She licked her bottom lip and took the 20 from him absently before meeting his eyes and giving him a fleeting smile, covering her little slip-up. She took it into her memory, "Bellini, and a soda, and what about you, Void?" she asked.

Alyssa Marina She nodded again, turning on her heel and walking over to the bar, ordering a Bellini, soda, and a Long Island Iced Tea for both her and Void. Picking up the drinks, she slipped the change into her small pocket on her short skirt, and walked back to the table, handing out the drinks. "Drink it slowly," she said to Void, nodding her head. She set all the drinks down on the table and then hesitantly reached into her pocket, extracting the change. She stared at it for a few moments before slowly holding her hand out to him, the change in her hand, swallowing a little bit. She shook herself out of it though and smiled, "Thanks, Markuss," she said, and sat back down, taking a long swallow from her Long Island Iced Tea, already feeling the mounts of copious alcohol mixed with cola as it hit her stomach.

Alyssa Marina Alyssa laughed a little under her breath, scratching behind her ear. She reached down in to her bag and handed him the same plant she had handed the other guy the night before. "It'll stop whatever pain you're feeling," she said, ripping a leaf off of the stem and handing it to him. She smiled before looking over to Void.

"No problem. Long Island Ice Teas used to be the specialty at the bar I used to work at." she said, and took another sip, "they're made a bit differently here, though. Not as strong."

It was at that moment that Kurtis caught her eye. She stood up, excusing herself for a moment, and walked over to his seat, and smiled. "Hey stranger," she said.
