History

Her history is long and complicated. Basically she was stolen from her coven in the dead of the night when other people were killed and ended up out in the world on her own when she killed her captors. She knew absolutely nothing about the outside world, and at one point ended up being owned by Rufus Klane, who used her as a performer and prostitute in his club, and kept her prisoner there along with other girls whom he beat often, etc. She escaped, eventually, and has been running ever since, not only from Rufus, but also from people who find out about her along the way and want to use her for her power and steal the crystal that she was born with embedded in her hip.

Since she's arrived in Wing City, she's trained under Connor as an assassin, to be able to do something a little more with her time.

So begins...

Alyssa Marina She landed on his lap when he pulled her down from the bar. She kissed him back, hugging him tightly around the neck. "Tell me a secret," she randomly prompted him.

Alyssa Marina "After what we went through today?" she mumbled in his ear, I couldn't care less. But I guess we could be nice. She hopped down from his arms and took the whiskey bottle with them, taking his hand and dragging him over to the booth. "Did you really?" she asked, "That's kind of cute."

Alyssa Marina "The dark for me meant no one could see me, and no one could get me, and the Mother was looking after me." she let a bit of her heritage slip out and bit her bottom lip. It wasn't something that she usually talked about, because she was afraid to push other people away.

Alyssa Marina "You're going to think it's scary..." she said, giving him a bit of an uncomfortable face, resting her head on the crook between his neck and his shoulder. "But I'll tell you, if you promise to listen with an open mind."

She waited a couple minutes and then began. "I wasn't raised in a house, like normal everyday people were. I was raised in something of a coven. And we believed, although I don't know if that's how I feel now, that the Mother was watching us at all times and providing us with what we needed. But... the coven was all women... and our birthing rituals and impregnating rituals were... rather odd..." She shifted uncomfortably.

Alyssa Marina She nodded, smiling and holding her hand in his. "Tell me another secret," she said, resting her head on his shoulder again. Then she changed her mind again and sat up straighter, "Where did you grow up?" she asked curiosly.

Alyssa Marina "You were lost in the wilderness for three days... when you were eight?" she hugged him tightly around his neck, kissing his forehead. "What a beast child." She smiled.

Alyssa Marina "The only... involvement I've ever had with anyone," she said, wringing her hands in her lap, "Is that which with those who were... paying for my... time... when I ... Rufus," she nodded her head choking out the last bit and shrugging her shoulders and looking at him. She was worried that he was getting into something he didn't want to end up being involved in. She came with a lot of baggage, after all.

Alyssa Marina "Well I'm impressed," she said, kissing his jawline. His confession of love made her gasp, staring at him with wide eyes, before she opened her mouth, "I love you too," she mumbled, and was taken aback by her own words. She had sworn to herself this was never going to happen, and here she was, getting attached to someone. What happened when she ran again? What if she didn't run again...? She bit her bottom lip and nodded. If there was anything she learned about this life, it was that she had to take the opportunities when they hit her, like this one, and just roll with it.
"Think you could think of five beautiful things by yourself now?" she asked, looking up at him.

Alyssa Marina "I don't have a room, actually." she said, shaking her head. "Andrew said that I could stay in his room, but I... meh. I've actually been sleeping under a bridge the past couple nights and showering in someone's house when they leave for work." she bit her bottom lip, a bit of a laughter on her lips, "I guess I'm going to have to clean up my behavior a little bit if I want to start actually associating with people instead of just traveling in a forest, no?" she laughed, sticking her tongue out just a little bit between her teeth.

Alyssa Marina "I was hoping you'd ask." she said, kissing his lips lightly and dragging herself onto her feet. She groaned, "Can we just sleep here?" she asked jokingly, and put her arm around his waist, rubbing her eyes, a wave of exhaustion suddenly crashing over her.

Alyssa Marina She laid in bed, pulling her vest off so that she's lying in her skirt and shirt, kicking off her boots, all the while half asleep. Sighing under her breath, she closed her eyes, rested her head on his chest, careful to avoid the injury from the train and fell asleep

Alyssa Marina With a yawn and a stretch, Alyssa came down the stairs into the bar. Her muscles were sore, and her head a little foggy, but she felt happy. Happy. This was actually a rather foreign concept to her. With a little yawn, she sat herself at the bar and ordered a bowl of soup and a cup of tea. Sitting there, waiting, Alyssa scanned the bar for anything interesting that was going on.

Alyssa Marina She turned her eyes to Kurtis, who she watched walk down the stairs. She returned the kiss on her cheek with one on his as she finished braiding her hair over one shoulder. Stray strands of hair fell into her face, but the braid wasn't something that was going to stay, it was just something she was doing to keep her hands busy. "I slept well, thank you." she said and turned in her seat to face him. "I haven't slept in a bed for a long time, so it was surprisingly nice. Well, and the company was pretty lovely too." she smiled and laughed a little bit. "How's your chest?" she asked and leaned her head over to look at where the bandage was.

Alyssa Marina She pushed her soup to the side, took the teacup in her hand and hoisted herself up to sit on the bar, just as she had done the night before, and the night before that on the table. Truth be told, she didn't like chairs that much, and liked for her head to be above the crowd as often as possible. Maybe just a survival instinct, she didn't know. She held the teacup between both of her hands. "Well," she said, "I don't know about great..." she teased him. "I could probably do something for it," she said, nodding toward his chest, "If you'd let my 'hippie remedies' as Markuss so nicely called them get anywhere near you." She tapped her bare-foot on the barstool in a steady rhythm.

Alyssa Marina "I wasn't great company?" she asked, faking hurt and pouting at him. "Really?" she said and smiled, setting her tea onto the bar and jumped down like a cat from the bar, landing lightly on the ground.

At that moment she turned her head to the voice ordering blood. "Hey, it's you!" she said, waving her hand at Crescent.

Alyssa Maina "Promise?" She asked, and kissed him back. "I can handle criticism." Alyssa laughed and crouched down, pulling her bag up from under the bar and rummaging around. She pulled out a few items, as jar of some deep red powder, the branches from the plant she had offered people, tied together with a string of jute twine. One after the other, she pulled out and placed odd objects onto the table before ordering a glass of water.

Alyssa Marina "I knew someone with a wound like this," she said and nodded toward his chest. "Except he got a branch through his abdomen. Just passed all his organs. It was probably one of the grossest things I've ever seen. Well, no maybe... I dunno, but it was pretty bad." When she had the water, she pulled a grinding bowl out of her bag, along with the grinder and began pinching the red powder into it until her fingers were bright red before opening another jar.

She stared at Crescent for a few moments, "Is something wrong?" Alyssa asked, going back to mixing the ingredients together.

Alyssa Marina She paused in her mixing and grinding of the various leaves and powders, pouring in water and such when it was needed. She flinched when she was paused, and imagined the wounds that he was describing before looking at him with a pained look on her face. "MotherGod." she said, shivering.

Alyssa frowned a little bit and shrugged her shoulders, but continuously glanced back at Crescent.

Alyssa Marina Alyssa gagged just a little bit before shaking the feeling off her chest. "You're really strong," she said matter-of-factly, and covered the bowl with her hands. She looked left, looked right, and mumbled something under her breath. Her eyes flashed dark red, and the air under her hands in the bowl did the same. When she moved her hand, the concoction was a subdued maroon color, instead of the gross color it had been turning before.

Alyssa Marina She laughed, kissing him on the cheek as she put some of it on her fingers, licking it before swallowing and nodding. "Well, it wouldn't do too much good iwthout the enchantments. Without my powers, I'd be a pretty pathetic healer." she winked at him and motioned with her hand for him to move his shirt. She turned her head at commotion behind her and looked at the man that had just come in, covered in blood. Her eyes widened and she turned her attention back to Kurtis, eyes still wide.

Alyssa Marina She nodded, glancing back again at the man before leaning down. "Oh!" she suddenly remembered and ripped a leaf off the plant she had lying on the bar. "Eat this." she said, "Whatever you're in pain from will stop hurting."

Alyssa Marina "Living in some tents in the middle of a forest in a coven teaches you a lot." she said, leaning down again, this time a bunch of the concoction on her fingers. She skillfully ran her fingers over the wound that was on his chest, grimacing at the blood that ran onto her hands. She blinked a few times as an image from her past flashed in her mind. Her hands covered in blood, a woman lying on the ground of the glittering hall. She grimaced, gasping a tiny bit before taking deep breaths to steady herself. It wasn't often that these flashes happened, but when they did... ugh. She finished rubbing the concoction onto his wound.

Alyssa Marina She went to laugh, and deny his compliment with a shake of the head, but the voice behind her made her stop speaking, as she wrapped the bandage back over it. "You'll be fine by tomorrow," she said, and smiled at him a little tensely. Turning her head over her shoulder, she looked at the bloody man again and lifted an eyebrow.
