A young student trying to find her place in one world or another...
Having been born with both hips turned inward, Amy "attempted" to participate in sports as a method of correction. To this day, she still hobbles about with a bit of a duck-like wobble. As a result of this malady, she has always been the extremely awkward type. Sports and well, anything that requires coordination, and her don't get along very well. With her awkward and shy nature, she found it hard to make friends over the years. So, she found her companions in books and the stories she crafted in her mind. The literary universe seemed kinder than the real one. Here, she could laugh freely and be the track star or the head cheerleader. Here, she could be normal. While Amy is quite shy, she is also a fiercely passionate soul. When alone, she loves to laugh as she spins in circles, sing loudly for only the birds to hear, and tell stories to a world of shadows that won't alienate her.
