Name: Amy Robertson
Age: 19
Race: Human (Mutant)
Significant Relations: Mother (amiable), Father (estranged).

Height: 5' 6"
Weight: 132 lbs
Physical Description: Amy is a pretty girl, with long wavy brown locks of hair that fall to her mid-back, worn loose. Her eyes are a pale blue, and her features smooth and youthful. Amy's figure is slim, and relatively unimpressive, more of a ruler than an hourglass. Very much 'in' with the fashions of the student world, Amy has a very preppy look, and can often be seen carrying a folder or pile of books around, or equally with a pint glass in her hand, enjoying the more social side of university.

Personality: Friendly, chatty and kind, Amy is a pleasant girl to know. Of course, like anyone, she has her sharp side, but generally keeps a lid on it unless someone causes her a great deal of offence. Studious more than she is wild, some consider Amy a little bit of a geek, but in university that covers a large proportion of the students, and so nobody really takes such labels seriously. Confident, Amy is not easily cowed, but she's not stupid -- in a dangerous situation, she's more likely to opt for flight over fight, despite her abilities -- or perhaps, her abilities reflect that.

Skills and Talents:
  • Academically strong - in general, Amy is an intelligent person.
  • Musician - Amy can play the guitar and the piano.
  • Accurate - Amy, though she wishes she didn't have to, does know how to aim a gun. After a bad experience in Glasgow with a group of anti-mutant activists, she made a point of learning.
  • Quick - Amy is a fast runner.

Abilities:
  • Phasing: Amy is capable of walking through solid objects, making her body insubstantial. When she reforms, her body takes priority over whatever substance she is in, and be it concrete or paper, it is shoved aside or compressed to make room for her.
  • Invisibility: Amy can become invisible, sight-wise.

Equipment:
  • Laptop.
  • General accoutrements.
  • iPhone.
  • Civilian pistol.
  • Can of mace.

So begins...

The door of the bar was pushed open to admit a young girl, who glanced around for a few moments before she allowed the door to swing closed behind her. A folder and a couple of textbooks were held under one of her arms, the other brushing aside a lock of long brown hair as she walked further inside.

The ominous click from across the bar drew the girl's attention to Absolution, and spotting the shotgun that the man held she blinked in surprise. Rather abruptly, she vanished on the spot, books and all. A few moments later, though, she reappeared with an annoyed look on her face. Obviously, the disappearance had not been intentional.

Keeping a wary eye on what looked like security - judging by the badge - Amy Robertson crossed the bar to sit in a booth close to the fire, shedding her thick coat and sighing. This was certainly new, this city. It had better live up to the recommendation that her friend had given it, because right now it was just looking like a hellhole full of nutters with guns!

This place wasn't getting any less weird. Spandex-clad femme fatales and an oppressive silence complimented by tension you could cut with a knife. It felt like the silent moment in old Western movies, before the shootout at dawn...

...they'd better have good drinks here, at least, Amy thought. Leaving her coat tucked into the chair, and keeping half an eye on it, she stood and made her way over to the bar. A dishevelled younger looking girl stood to her left, with a decidedly angsty look to her, and Amy tacitly took up a waiting position a good couple of meters from Liza.

As the bartender approached her, Amy ordered a cappuccino, and waited awkwardly for the drink to be brought. Everything about this place screamed 'watering hole for murderers'...

Collecting her coffee, Amy wandered back to her seat and settled in it, placing the mug and saucer on the table. Opening the textbook she carried in her lap, Amy paused to take a sip of her drink, before starting to read.

The slamming noise of the door being kicked open elicited a frown from the brown-haired student, and she glared momentarily at Doryn before returning to the book without comment.

A brief flash of an alternate exterior to Gambit's was visible, as the door of the bar swung open to admit a brown-haired girl holding a folder and textbook under her arm. The beautiful architecture of Oxford was visible, as well as a cobbled street, cyclists outnumbering cars. As the door swung shut, the view once again became that of Wing City's main street.

Apparently unaware of the brief shift in reality, Amy Robertson crossed the bar and took a seat at the counter, ordering a mug of coffee and opening her folder on the surface. She took out a pen and began to annotate what looked like an essay, humming quietly to herself, one ear plugged with a headphone playing music.

Amy Robertson paused. Frowning, she placed her pen down on the paper, and took her headphone out.

Had that been a dragon? What? No. Yeah, it had been. Bloody hell.

"Cancel that coffee, bartender. Get me a beer..."

As the bartender delivered her beer, Amy took a gulp of the drink. That was better. She could accept dragons if she had a beer. Or tea, but beer worked better, at least in a bar. Tea was the drink of making-everything-better, but was best saved for when you got home.

Taking a breath, Amy leant forwards and went back to her essay.

Amy Robertson turned the page in her folder, brushing a lock of hair aside. At that moment she paused, and frowned.

Was there a man under the counter? Not-so-subtly leaning slightly backwards to get a better angle, Amy blinked at Dillon. There was a something under the counter, anyway, and it did indeed vaguely resemble a man. A few moments passed of Amy simply staring with some disbelief at him, before she looked up at the man that was sitting in front of him.

What were they ... did she want to know? Whatever it was, it probably wasn't ... making daisy chains, or something comparatively frivolous. Maybe the one under the counter was crazy. Finally realising that she was blatantly staring at the pair, Amy coughed, and went back to her essay. But then, she couldn't help but notice the man disappear.

What an odd going on...

Amy Robertson muttered something under her breath about crazy people hiding under bar counters and talking to books, and took a long gulp of her beer. She glanced up at Elise as the woman approached the counter slightly down from her. She looked at least vaguely normal.

That made a change. Maybe normal was abnormal here. Then again, Amy wasn't entirely normal herself, but she was more normal than most people here. She just happened to be able to do more things than most people could, while being normal. At least, that was how she saw it...

Amy Robertson stared at Dillon again, frowning. He'd definitely vanished, once, already. Where did he go? Did he just go invisible?

He was an odd man, and he made Amy uneasy. He had that look to him. Not to mention the general bad vibe that hunching underneath the counter gave. Amy sighed and took a gulp of her beer. She couldn't focus on her essay here -- she was getting too caught up in people-watching.

"Oh! Err..." Amy blinked in surprise. She had been staring again, hadn't she? "Sorry! I didn't mean to stare. Ah..." Subconsciously shying away from the sharp teeth and unnaturally wide grin that Dillon gave her, Amy gulped.

"No, sorry. I didn't ... No, there's not anything. I was just wondering why you were... yes, the dragon, right. Makes sense."

Amy coughed, and stopped talking, setting her metaphorical spade aside.

"Through you..? What? No... you disappeared!" Amy blinked, "I'm very certain you disappeared. Or went invisible. Or something." she said, nodding slowly. "You vanished, I didn't ... well, if you vanished but were still there, then I did look through you, but it was hardly my fault!"

"..whaat?" Amy seemed to be mentally flailing here. "Why are you apologising?! Gah!"

Amy folded her arms, "Goddammit man, pull yourself together! Disappearing, it happens to all of us. Or at least some of us. See!"

As she spoke the final word, Amy promptly vanished. "Looks like we have something in common." the space where Amy had been sitting said. "Except you seem to be emotionally unstable about it."

Amy reappeared a few moments later, frowning faintly.

"Because, just because I can do out of the ordinary things doesn't mean that I act unusually. You looked rather gollum-like under the counter, and it was odd." Amy said, folding her arms and sighing. "There's being odd, and there's acting odd. It's far easier to identify someone who's acting odd, than someone who's odd inherently."

Amy Robertson held up a hand to Ezio. "Look, you, see this? Talk to it. I'm already debating with one person, I'd like to finish this one before I start debating the nature of fighting and arguing."

"Well la-dee-da!" Amy grumbled, "The dragon had already left by the time I registered it, so I had to use up the stare I had built up somehow! Or something like that."

Shaking her head, Amy took a gulp of her drink. "That was a weird discussion..." she muttered to herself.

"I fail to see how it's any of your business." Amy said dryly, staring flatly at Ezio. "You need to learn a thing or two about social boundaries, and where your nose should and shouldn't be put. For all you know, we might have been friends having a very personal argument, which would have been very insensitive of you to join in!"

Downing the rest of her beer, Amy sighed. She should really get back to her flat, given the time.

"Look, it's all fine and dandy for you to be a beacon of righteousness and morals, but sometimes people disagree. And honestly? It wasn't even a heated argument, more like a debate or a difference of opinions. Hardly qualified as a fight at all. But frankly, my dear, I do nae give a damn."

Standing, Amy tucked her textbook and folder under her arm. "Now if you'll be so kind as to excuse me." she said, before making purposefully for the exit.
