Description

Name: Argus Cade

Age: 32

Gender: Male

Species: Human

Profession: Bounty Hunter

Appearance: Image

Argus has the appearance of a Caucasian male in his late twenties to early thirties. He has nearly shoulder length black hair, blue eyes, a stubble, and is possessed of a rugged yet solemn appearance. His face, once considered handsome, is now worn and haggard. He stands at a height of 6'1 and is well built physically for a man of his height. Though he is muscular, he is not big nor large enough to encumber himself in a way that would inconvenience him on the hunt. In this way, one could assume he is well toned and conditioned rather than overly musclebound.

Inside of his armor, Argus is even more intimidating. A chest plate comprised of a few overlapping plates covers the hunters entire torso including the back and sides. A rather menacing looking helmet covers Argus' head, it's main highlights being it's distinct black and orange coloration, and it's T like visor. A tattered cape drapes down the back, it's gun-metal grey coloration faded from a combination of action and age. Worn above the cape is a Jet-pack, a tell tale sign of a persistent hunter. Attached to the forearms on both arms are what appear to be bracers of some kind. Both bracers sport electronic suites in the form of screens though the left has a more prominent screen than the right. Reflecting this, the left is sleeker in appearance than the right which is bulkier and appears to be a launcher of some sort. Armored gauntlets are worn on the hands. A black web belt is worn around the waist and has several pouches attached to it along with a holster. Finally, armored greaves are worn along with boots to provide moderate protection to the lower extremities.

Personality: Argus Cade can be summed up as a Jaded, disillusioned man. From growing up on Nal Hutta to spending nearly three years in exile on Tatooine, Argus has had ample time to experience and dwell on how sentient beings treated one another. As a result, Argus has absolutely no problem with killing people regardless of whether or not they earned it. Furthermore, Argus doesn't operate on any sort of honor system. If he decides to spare a target then it's probably because the target is worth more alive. If Argus is loyal to anything then it would be safe to say it's to himself...and credits.

Equipment & Abilities: When it comes to combat or the collecting of bounties, Argus is always properly geared for the situation. Below are the common instruments and gear usually carried on jobs.

Armor - Argus sports a suit of armor that is made from an alloy known as Phrik. The metal itself when made into armor was incredibly lightweight and quite durable. Due to it's costliness, Argus does not have this armor covering all of his body. That said, the parts that are covered are now quite safe from harm, even from the likes of a lightsaber. The palms, fingertips, and boot soles all posses powerful maglocks on them. These can engage on command and lock the user to a surface or keep hold of something. These are particularly useful for operations taking place in the vacuum of space or for stopping what could be a costly fall. Hidden in each of the gauntlets is a vibro blade that, when the user balls his or her hands into fists, causes said blade to extend from just above the knuckle plates.

The armor is also host to a rather sophisticated sensor suite. Sensors on the body, helmet, hands, and legs all work in unison to paint an extremely detailed picture of the environment for Argus. Additionally, Argus is able to track living targets over vast distances though this can be disrupted. In fact, if the helmet antenna is damaged, Argus loses a great deal of his long range scanning and tracking. Additionally, extremely turbulent weather can hamper both of the aforementioned actions. Built into the helmet is a host of vision modes which include a zoom or telescopic mode, thermal or heat based tracking, night-vision, among others.

The bracers are host to computers and gear, with the left controlling most of the armors functions and the right being a wrist-rocket launcher. The lefts on board computer enables Argus to access most of his suits functions. Should this ever receive damage, Argus would lose a great deal of his armors effectiveness. The right is host to a wrist mounted rocket launcher capable of firing a multitude of rounds and payloads.

Beneath the armor, a grey under suit is worn. This under suit is roughly tailored to Argus' frame and is mainly there for protection from the elements. When operating in the void, Argus usually replaces the grey under suit with a more form fitting black one. This one is air tight and made specifically for operating in the void of space.

Weaponry - Argus usually sports a highly modified variant of the A280 Blaster Rifle. Originally said to be able to cut a fully armored Stormtrooper in half at medium range, The variant used here is more powerful than the base model. A trade off of that power is the rifle boasts a slower rate of fire as a result. The rifle is also modified with an under barrel capable of firing specialized ammunition such as darts, explosives, and solid slug ammunition should the need arise.

As a sidearm and a preferred method of execution, Argus sports a modified BL-28 blaster pistol. In addition to having it equipped with a power pack that recharges when not in use, Argus has the scope removed and it's iron sights replaced with a set of iron sights that glowed. Additionally, the weapon was given a newer and lighter grey finish.

Misc. - Argus usually carries with him a minimum of three blaster packs, a thermal detonator, a carbonite bomb, and the varied ammunition for his weapons that use them. If Argus has prior knowledge of his targets, he will often plan ahead and bring additional items that would assist him in their capture or killing.

Historical Background: Argus grew up on the planet known as Nal Hutta. It was the homeworld of the Hutt's and, as such, Argus suffered solely due to the fact he wasn't a Hutt. His mother was a woman who knew little of the galaxy and she was easily enamored with his father, a spacer. Leaving her life behind, the two had Argus a year into their relationship. Argus grew up never knowing a home planet as his family moved around quite a bit. At the tender age of five, Argus lost his mother to disease. Unable to handle a kid he truly didn't want, Argus' father quickly sold his son to some slavers on Hutta. Argus would then spend his childhood struggling to survive on his own. As a result, Argus grew up mentally at a very quick rate along with his guile and wits. There was no one else he had to rely on but himself and that was all he needed. Survival was all that mattered.

Argus eventually proved to be quite skilled with a blaster and the Hutt who owned him decided to make good use of said talent. Argus would do jobs and essentially play the part of a thug until it enabled him to buy his way out of servitude. Now a young man, Argus would play the part of a hired gun until a chance meeting with an old man occurred. Both Argus and the older man were hired to take care of a upstart gangster who had overstepped his boundaries. Argus was out of his depth and the older man, who happened to be a Bounty Hunter, beat him to the target. The man was impressed with Argus who, despite being beaten to the target, had still blasted and gunned his way through quite a few armed thugs. An offer was made and accepted and with that, Argus was under the tutelage of the old man.

Argus learned the Bounty Hunting trade including some much needed combat training. This went on for about half a decade before tragedy struck. With his father-like figure torn from him, Argus was left alone once again. Additionally, he was hunted for "sins" that weren't his own. To escape retribution, Argus went into hiding on the desert world of Tatooine. Left with a disillusioned look on life, Argus continued to train himself for three years before deciding to leave. Wasting no time, Argus claimed the lives of those that hunted him. Left with no more enemies and a particular set of skills, Argus set out to do the only thing he could. Hunt.

So begins...
