Equipment:

  • The "Second Skin" Battle Suit - A bulletproof suit that is thin enough to earn its name. The artful blue lines that are in abundance on the suit charge energy beams on Ariel's hands that she can project forth with highly destructive properties. It also has a cloak setting that can match her to her surroundings or disguise her to the appropriate event.

  • The visor has a heat vision, night vision, and target setting with a zoom feature.

  • Spark Boots allow Ariel to jump to heights impossible for the normal human being. Her heels are a useful extension that allow her to land from these heights without harm, and carry a little extra weight to make sure she'll always land feet first.

  • The All-Purpose Bandit Pulse Rifle - On numerous travels throughout the universe, Ariel has picked up many a trick and has since realized that a simple pulse rifle can't do it all. The pulse rifle has a high fire rate and can hold up to one hundred clips, fully automatic. They come in shock rounds that destroys shielding and fries nerves. There's a grenade launcher attachment to the bottom, but the grenades within this gun don't come in a fiery explosion. Instead, it releases an adamant net that can withstand being dipped in magma for a short amount of time- something she created on a long trip to a volcanic planet, chasing after an important bounty that needed to be caught alive.

  • Wyverntail- A whip with acidic properties, able to melt through skin and various metals.

  • Proximity Spheres, picked up from the Slayer company, they slow a certain area with a radius of six feet for three and a half seconds.

So begins...

It was the conversation and the running of voices overall that woke the girl up. Her eyes fluttered open, and she began to sit up, leaning to the side dizzily.

"Ugh..." she mumbled, trying to steady herself. She looked around. A hospital room. A hospital room...a hospital room...

Did...she finally wake up? She looked to Jack and the nurse. Her eyes widened. "I'm...did I actually go into a..." she trailed off, laying back into her bed. She looked at the IV with a bit of distaste and horror.

"Did I...just wake up? That crazy place I was in really was a dream, wasn't it? Wing City? This is the real wold now, right?" She wiped her eyes with her sleeve and focused on Jack.

"...wait. You were..."

"Wait...so.."

She wasn't really awake, was she? "I'm still in the coma dream." she said, hand clapping over her mouth. She was not out of Wing City, was she? What kind of nightmare would have her get knocked out because of under eating...

"Listen, if I'm still in the dream, I think I can just go. Um, if I can..." She fiddled with the IV, wincing as she did, "...just get this off...and leave...and your fifty bucks are in my pocket, I swear. I didn't even spend it. It's yours, you can have it."

Arial cried out as she was smacked, shrinking onto the back of the hospital bed. "Hey!" she cried, offended and holding her wrist, "What kind of Doctor are you? This isn't an episode of House!" she shot back, eyes narrowing in a glare. Even though it had been a light smack, a bruise started to develop on her wrist. She had little to no muscle or fat between skin and bone. No cushion.

"I'm completely fine! I'm just...dehydrated..." she mumbled, laying back on the bed. She really did feel horrible. Her stomach rumbled, pained her, and her vision swam.

"Wait...you...morphine?"

Ariel moved away from Jack, fiddling with the IV again. She did not know how to pull it out safely. This...never happened to her before. "Don't you dare!" she cried to him, pointing to the needle. "I don't need that! Get away! I can leave; I'm fine!" She tore off the tape, then pulled out the long needle from her arm. She took it out too quickly, and a thin line of blood squirted out as the IV fell onto the bed. Ariel got to her feet to try and get out the door, but her knees were too weak, and she fell to the grond.

Ariel absolutely could not fight him, as much as she tried. She could not even kick her feet in a tantrum. She was far too nauseous. "No, just...let me go..." she groaned, pulled onto the trolly. She breathed hard, as if she'd just run a mile. She had done no such thing.

And there it was. All the control she thought she had, the smallest control she'd ever had, that sliver, gone. She stopped fidgeting, glaring poisonously at Jack.

Boom!

As if the bar was not already dealing with some chaos that day, a figure clad in black was flung through the door, smashing it open and splintering it to pieces. The figure smashed into the opposite wall, limbs splayed out before she slid down, falling onto the flat of her shoulders, upside down with her legs in the air. There was a short, painful groan before the woman moved and slithered onto her feet, holding the back of her head. She wore a bright blue suit that covered her body all up to her neck, and a pair of long boots that ended at her knee. She lifted a black visor from her eyes, squinting.

Where the hell was she?

Looking around, the woman pursed her lips and narrowed her brow. Now, this was simply ridiculous. She was sure she'd disintegrated the last alien...but not before she was thrown. The woman took in a breath.

Ah, so she was thrown into this building. Interesting. The woman landed her backside onto the bar counter and flung her legs over, landing on the other side. She looked at the damage.

"Oh! Well, oops..."

Her eyes flickered open, only to see the sky before her rapidly passing by. The glass casing lifted open, and the woman sat up, only to lift up out of the chamber. She looked around, eyes growing wide. It came to her all too soon.

"Aw, shit!" she cried, climbing out of the chamber as fast as she could, looking toward the ground, which approached quickly. The woman, clad in a blue suit, with boots and a visor of the same color, growled in frustration. She planted her feet onto the sides of the cryogen chamber, then launched off.

The thick, high-heeled boots sparked as they came in contact with the metal, and she was bulleted into the air, allowing the chamber to crash first. She spread out her limbs, slowing her fall. Something else caught her eye.

"...no!"

Just before she landed, her heels catching her fall as if she had jumped but a few feet, she watched the second chamber land.

"Oh, God dammit, no!"

Arial threw her hands up as the glass flew towards her, the shards bouncing off of her body armor as if it were paper. Her head tossed tot he side, just enough so that she could see the man to her left, dressed in a gasmask. Her heart quickened its pace.

"Hey! Hey, get out of here, this is dangerous! This guy's a criminal!" she yelled, looking back just in time to see her target, who had crawled out of his little prison. She pulled back a fist, a glowing white light charging around it.

"Stand down, Co-" Before she would be able to finish, the chamber was chucked at her. With barely any time to react, the woman leaped, but not in time. The huge chunk of metal slammed into her, and she crashed into the trees.

The chamber would crack in half before it was shoved aside, revealing the woman in the tight blue suit, her visor firmly over her eyes. In her hand, she brandished a whip with a cyan glow around it, searing through the metal. She looked to the man with the gasmask, teeth gritted.

"What the hell are you doing!?" she hissed, flicking the whip upwards. It curled up, the glow dying before she placed it back onto her belt. She looked around, panicking.

"Where did he go?" she asked him, closing the distance between them. She reached out to grab the front of his shirt. "Where the hell did he go!?"

The woman seemed almost shocked that he had managed to gather enough guts to swat her hands away- and then go back to studying the chamber!

"Wait a minute!" she shouted, voice hoarse from her anger. He would hear the sound similar to something burning right behind his ear. If he were to turn around, he would see a gun pointed toward him, crackling with electricity at the tip.

"Listen, I don't even know what planet I'm on, or your species, but I sure as hell bet you speak the same language! Answer me! Answer me or this whole planet goes down!"

As he disappeared, the woman lifted her gun, gasping lightly as she looked around. Then, as she heard a sound to her left, she whipped around, only to greet the end of his gun. She lowered her chin, brooding in her fury.

"Is that how you greet people on this planet?" she told him, lowering the Tesla Pistol. "In any case, it doesn't even matter. Do you understand the gravity of this situation? One of the most dangerous criminals in this universe has just been released. He's supposed to be in my custody!" she told him, trying to keep her anger in check. She had only just gotten out of cryogen with a rude awakening. She was not exactly cheery.

"Aaah! He's too far away now...where's Kane!?"

Latching the Tesla back onto her belt, she listened, scanners searching his body as she did just that. Unusual...heat readings. Something to do with that mask. She took hold of her visor and lifted it, revealing sharp black eyes.

"South from here, you say? Well, of course Kane would know what he's doing...but why would he eject my cryochamber?" she spoke her thoughts out loud. "And...his chamber, too..."

With a purse of her lips, the woman lifted her chin.

"I don't know this place. Can you show me toward them? I need to find this convict and Kane before something happens. And my situation should concern you, if you like being alive."

The woman took a step toward him, folding her arms. The body armor clacked, though it looked thin enough to literally be a second layer of skin.

"Listen, I'm currently working for another Federation! I'm an agent! I shouldn't have to pay someone else for something they should be doing anyway!" she told him, fists tightening.

"I won't need it once I find him, trust me!"

She pointed at his chest, body stiffened.

"I know this guy well enough! I hunted him down the first time. I got a feeling you're trying to scam me, but fine. I'll play along. Just get me to that ship. My readings are too scrambled for me to get there myself. There's no other reason I need you."

She certainly let him know now, and she would be letting him know later, as well. For the rest of the time they took getting there.

It had been a long walk. Ariel was anxious and impatient. She had good reason to. Her partner, the escaped criminal, and just one more worrisome thing was ahead. If only she could track him herself...urgh! She would have been over there in less than five minutes!

Ahead, as they parted from the trees, they came upon the runes. In front of them was the ship. It was completely decimated, broken beyond repair. Ariel blinked in shock, her lips hanging open.

"No...you're kidding me!" she cried, running towards the smoking ruin of a ship. "Kane!" she cried, whipping her head around. "Kane! Where are you!" She ran forward, looking for at least one thing. If Kane wasn't here...god dammit!

"No one is even here!"

The woman's hands came to her slick-backed hair, fingers curling around her head. The headache from the sudden cryogen awakening and the stress from her situation was building up, but she could not let it get to her. Not now, of all times. She kicked around the ship, slipping her visor on. Nothing. Nothing but the heat from the ship. Not even the artifact she needed.

"I'm going to look for him," she began, lifting the visor again to pinch the bridge of her nose, "But, for now, it looks like my situation has shifted. I'm going to be here a while, especially with the ship damaged. I'm going to need to find a place for lodging, civilian clothing, and food. Can you tell me what planet I am on? And your name?"

"Terra?" questioned Ariel. Her lips parted. "This...is the planet we've been trying to get to for four months! And we crash landed here?" Oh, no. This was worse than before. This is where he was trying to get to, as well.

With a sigh, Ariel considered her position and options. She looked to Flux, eyes intent. "Ariel Moore, freelance bounty hunter, partner to Lucius Kane." she said, slipping a card from a thin pocket and presenting it to Flux.

Ariel reached out to take Flux's card, and right as she had, the woman whipped around, the his and beep from within the ship reaching her ears. Without another glance, she darted toward the cockpit, raising a hand, which glowed with an energy beam. She grabbed the door to the cockpit and busted it open, looking at something she had forgotten.

When she came back out, trotting away, she had something in her hands. A tracking collar, made of metal, beeping with the computers distorted voice.

"I'll warn you to get out of here. The ship is going to blow soon."

"I doubt it. Kane knows what he's doing. He's not anywhere close to here. I missed him." she said, watching the mysterious, gasmasked figure walk right past her. With-

"What the hell do you think you're doing, kid?" she spat, watching him walk away with the targeting system. Gah...it did not matter now! They had to get out of there!

"Whatever. I'll be contacting you later! Keep an ear out!" she said to him, running right past him. This would lead her to Cogor, and she could not let this kid slow her down.

With her heels sparking, she took off in the air in a twenty foot leap, jumping over and over again until she was out of sight in the trees.

She had left him with the thing to blow. She had not realized that much. Not with her hurry.

Heels hit the road, and sparks flew.

Skidding in the middle of a street was a woman. She had quite a slender figure, evident through her tight blue battlesuit, which clung to her body like the second skin it was. She lifted her visor, revealing sharp black eyes.

"God dammit...where is he?!" she hissed, head whipping around. She looked at the metal collar in her hand. It was peeing quickly, so the prisoner had to be near...

"Fuck it, Cogor! You've gone and rigged it, haven't you? To lead me off!"
