Description
Axis looks just like a normal young man in his early twenties; Thin, tight muscles due to his love of parkour, and long, shaggy hair which is usually bound back with a pair of brass goggles (due to his love-affair with all things steam punk. He also had a spherical pendant watch on a fob that hung from his belt and hat the clockwork visible). all in all, he WAS a normal teen... Until you realize that he wasn't.
Axis was a genetic mutant whose bloodline was created by the government in one for their super soldier projects a few generations back. All in all, there were only a few drawbacks to the ability: you couldn't alter your clothes (meaning you had to be naked to be invisible), the mutation came with nerves that ran through hair, allowing them to change similar to skin... But meaning a hair cut was just as bad as a dentist trip... And the fact the those with the bloodline had w-shaped pupils and gold irises, much like the cuttlefish that had been used to make him that way.
As a normal young man with a penchant for jumping off buildings, Axis can typically be found wearing a sleeveless shirt, cargo pants, running shoes, a pair of knee pads, and a full set of guards on his right arm from hand to shoulder, just in case. He also tends to always have his brass goggles on to keep his hair out of his face.
As for skin and hair coloration... Well, those can very, but he usually goes for an exotic look, with skin shaded a deep bronzey color, and hair a pale, sand-colored tan-blonde.
Personality
Axis, being a third generation mutant, outlived most of the stigma attached to altered humans. This, as well as the fact that his powers are easily hidden, give him a much better disposition than other mutants. He's flirty and outgoing; chivalrous with a bit of a lecherous streak in him.
More than anything else, Axis has a white knight complex. He can't abide by pointless violence, but he can't just stand by and let someone get beat up, either.
Equipment
none in particular, save his clothing, pads, goggles, and watch, none of which are really worth any note.
History
Axis has been lucky, having been born into an age where stigma against altered humans is at its lowest ever, and still decreasing. there is still a rift between pure humans and mutants, just as there has always been a rift between people who are different throughout history, but the young mutant doesn't let it effect him. His resilient nature, as well as his snark, have helped him to keep a relatively bright outlook on life.
So begins...
one last thing. Would you prefer the cocky mutant, or the cynical cyborg? X3
