Ayanna Shadowleaf is a member of Du Lagion Vercinge and Du Orya Abr Sundavr, as well as the leader of Deyja'Tugal.
Ayanna was born a member of a vicious predatory race known as the Kriall by Istalri Nianya. These beings were aggressive, violent, and incredibly strong, though they lacked much mental acuity. They are a race of half plant half insectoid carnivores that derive energy from breaking down the proteins found in muscle tissue of most living things. They typically resemble a humanoid shape derived from dense "bark" plates that are rooted and held in place by vines and tendrils making up their musculature. Their hair resembles plant foliage for the most part, and a long vinelike tail made of multitudes of sensory fibers interwoven with each other extends down from the the base of their "skull". This vine is a sensory organ, a prehensile appendage, and a weapon. It is also a primary weak point, as it equates to an exposed nerve ending and transmit sensations of pain directly to the brain. The eyes of these creatures tend to be dark blue, purple, or green, with an iris comprised of broken striations in circular fashion in the eyes. The eyes are purely for show, as they aren't actually used to See. Kriall instead use a electro perceptory sense, echoelocation, and smell to navigate their surroundings and locate prey.
When Deprived of the protein necessary to maintain their form, Kriall begin to regress into a childlike shape, where the bark plates retract and form a solid surface protecting the withered and weakened tendrils inside. In this form they tend ot appear like three feet tall creatures with purple skin, childlike in appearance, with antler like protusions coming from their temples where the face plates overlap. Their "tail" regresses into a small bushy collection of fibers.
Eventually this regression results in them entering a hibernation state as a small seed, where in only the introduction of water and sunlight will allow them to regrow.
Ayanna herself was brought to Istalri Nianya by her parent, who was one of the Vealn Kriall, members of the race who have forsaken their predatory nature and seek to become civilized. Unwelcome by her own kind, Ayanna was inducted into Du Lagion Vercinge, raised and trained to fight in the immortal army of Istalri Nianya. After having passed her Trials, she was changed from Kriallen to the Immortal form that all Legion Warriors exist as. The unique traits that she kept from this transformation was a slight purple tinge to her skin, silver green hair that appears as long, thicker than normal strands, and a spinal protrusion resulting from the calcification of her nerve fibers. In all other ways she resembles the standard Legion Warrior physique.
Ayanna's ferocity and agression translated into her Warrior form, and she steadily rose through the ranks over several millenia to join Du Orya Abr Sundavr. After the ten thousand year training, she was made the leader of a team of four referred to as Deyja'Tugal. These Oryans, like her, showed outstanding capacity in various aspects, and their team was formed with the intent of creating a failsafe that would complete any mission assigned to them. To date they have completed, successfully, 742'892 missions, over a course of seventeen million years. In that time they have developed a reputation for completing any mission, no matter what. This reputation the entire team upholds with zealotry, but Ayanna more so than any other.
Ayanna believes that nothing can stop her, given enough determination. She insists on completing the mission no matter what she and her team may face, but where the other members of her team will change tactics and approach, Ayanna's single failing is that she believes that direct force, given sufficient time, will overcome any obstacle. And with the Immortality of Du Lagion Vercinge, she's mostly correct, however the rest of her team will often choose alternate tactics for expediency.
Ayanna's normal equipment consists of minimal plate armor covering her arms to prevent disabling strikes, as well as a chest piece to protect her vitals. She prefers to minimize her armor as much as possible to increase her mobility. Normally this would be ineffective, but the Legion Warrior body is more durable than mortal flesh, and the reduced load allows her to make use of the higher strength for explosive movements in bursts.
Her primary weapon, a hand and a half blade forged by master weapon smith Tundola out of pure Starsteel. The blade was forged with enchantments, making it impervious to magic, never dulling, and unbreakable. The blade is sharp enough to cut through the core of a star, and the magic imbued into it allows it to absorb a near unlimited amount of energy.
In addition to the standard training in simple combat magic that legion warriors receive normally, and the training Oryan's receive in higher level magic, Ayanna specializes in enhancement magic that allows her to multiply her strength infinitely, so long as she has the energy to fuel the increased power. This magic takes time to cast, but when in effect, it allows Ayanna to face foes normally beyond her with ease.
The magic rapidly burns through the energy used to cast it, so is better employed for rapid attacks intended to completely overwhelm the enemy, and thus makes it suited to Ayanna's highly aggressive combat style.
