Azric Cane strode down the sidewalk, hands in the pockets of his slacks. He wore a simple suite, Black jacket, black slacks, white shirt, and black pencil tie. His ginger-red hair was pulled back in a ponytail, and a two-day beard dusted his face. As he walked, Azric whistled a tuneless song, taking in the sights of the city, the sounds, the people. He loved this place, but he was ready to move on to bigger and better things.

Azric Cane payed the motorcycle-beast no mind until it landed in front of him. When it did so, he simply took a single step backward and slid his hand into his coat. When it bend down to sniff him, however, Azric began to sweat. He glanced quickly around, looking for an escape rout, his eyes widening as adrenalin kicked in. A side alley, thirty feet behind the machin-creature. A fire escape thirteen feet behind him. Not many options. He had just began to slide his pistol from it's shoulder-holster when he heard the voice proclaim his life was not in danger.

"Call it off, please. I don't feel like being crushed by a cat-cycle tonight..."

Azric Cane kept his hand inside his coat, but seemed to relax overall as the catmobile backed off a few steps. Side-stepping, he leaned against the wall of the building they were standing in front of, a small book store. "Misranan crew? Can't say I've heard of you guys. That a ship, or a planet?"

This could be the opportunity he'd been looking for. Wheather it was a ship or a planet, it didn't matter. Ships always needed crew, and planets always needed soldiers. And hell, he might even get some free travel time with this job. With his free hand, he reached into his pants pocket and pulled out a pack of cigarettes. Flipping open the top with his thumb, he pulled one out with his teeth, and replaced the pack with a lighter from the same pocket. With a flick and a puff, his face was obscured by smoke.

Azric Cane nodded slowly as man before him spoke, puffing his cigarette once, twice, and then inhaling. If they had cloaking on a global scale, it stood to reason they would have it on a personal scale as well. But isolationism? Then a sudden appearence into the universe, and a desire to 'round up' interested people? Sounded fishy to Azric.

When Catimus Prime stepped forward again, the tall ginger pushed himself away from the wall again and drew his pistol in earnest. It was a simple weapon the only embellishments being a small ghost-like face that seemed to be hand-carved along the barrel. Azric didn't aim the weapon, he simply held it at his side as the machine spoke.

"Interested? And what would be in it for me, eh?" he said with a small smirk, "I'm broke as a joke, can't afford a vacation."

Azric Cane returned his pistol to it's holster when the man mentioned work. 'That's better...' he thought to himself as he extended a hand to Shan. "The name's Azric Cane, pleased to meet you. Grinning now, he said "Work is what I'm loking for, and no one on Terrs seems to want to hiew onw with my skill set."

A tall, thin man strode down the sidewalk, a cigarette hanging from his lips. The setting sun made his ginger hair and three-day-beard glow almost like fire. The man wore a simple black suit, jacket, slacks, white shirt, and a black pencil tie, and a tell-tale bulge beneath his left arm spoke of a weapon he might carry.

Azric Cane had recently been contacted by the newly-emerged Misranan cruise ship crew, and was now only passing his time until he departed for the planet to seek his fortune and glory.

Azric Cane stopping walking as he noticed the three people clustered around the beaten and bruised man man. Completely misunderstanding the situation, he pulled the cigarette from his lips and dropped it to the ground. Starting toward the group at a slow jog, Azric slide his hand into his jacket and gripped the pistol within, shouting, "Hey! Leave that guy alone! Now!"

Azric Cane slowed to a walk as he was near enough the group for them to hear without having to shout. Man in need? Oh........ He supposed that made a little more sense. "Sorry, I saw how beat up he was, and the money... I guess I just asdumed you guys were mugging him." he removed his hand from his jacket, leaving the pistol in it's holster. These ladies were... Lovely. With a grin, he said, "Name's Azric, who might you two be?" completely ignoring the man who seemed to be a hobo.

"Oh, the pleasure is mine!" Azric said with a small bow. He glanced at the unfortunate man, then back at the young woman who was actually speaking. Reaching into his pants pocket, he pulled out a cigarette pack and a lighter. Flipping the lid open with his thumb, he pulled out a smoke with his teeth, replacing the pack. With a flick and a puff, a cloud of smoke rose into the air, obscuring his face for a few seconds. With a smile as bright as the sun, Azric asked, looking from one face to the other, "So what brings you out on the town tonight?"

Azric Cane frowned suddenly, still looking from one girl to the other, then back again. He couldn't decide which one to flirt with. On one hand, the one that could talk.... Well, she could talk. On the other, he wouldn't have to listen to the apparently mute one nagging. But on a third appanedage, the two seemed to come as a pair. Which could be interesting. with that thought, his smile returned as quickly as it had departed, and he asked, "Well what is it you're looking for? I know this city pretty well. I might know where to look."

Azric Cane puffed his cigarette idly, not inhaling the smoke before asking, "Antique war relics, eh? I might know where there are a few of those. Are you looking for a particular kind?" Azric finally took a puff in earnest, the tip of the cancer stick glowing brightly in the failing light. He blew a few smoke rings while he waited for the sign language and translation, still debating which one would be the more interesting conquest.

Azric Cane frowned slightly at the translation. 'I hate guessing games...' he thought to himself, 'But this might be worth it.' He took another drag of his cigarette, exaggerating the exhale as he thought, and discreetly watched Marsailles' chest bouncing. "Hm... My first guess... And anceint sword. How many guesses do I get, anyway?"

Azric Cane took a long drag from his ciggarette, exaggerating the exhale as he listened to Shan speak. The smoke obscured his face momentarily before drifting lazily into the sky, a streak of white against the bright orange sunset. "Well, I mostly deal in... Covert operations. Gathering information, infiltration, things like that. On occasion, I've been contracted to... Eh... Discreetly remove certain people from their lives." With the last sentence, he frowned slightly. He didn't like being labeled as an assassin, but frankly, that's what it was. Assassination.

Azric Cane took one last drag from the cancer stick between his lips befor taking it between his fingers and flicking it into the street. "Oh, I'm sure the Ass-Chins have some sort of interest in me, but I don't think they have a capture-or-kill order out on me." Azric smirked, stuffing his hands into his pockets, "Besides, they'd have to find me first. Even without the... What'd you say? Zanzanran? Even without whatever that is, I'm hard to find when I want to stay hidden."

Azric Cane nodded at the catmobile and Shan respectively, his expression becoming serious, "If the Aschen are going to know about the passengers... It might be a good idea to keep me off of the list hide me somewhere. In my line of work, it's always better that no one knows who I'm working for." Suddenly, Azric's jacket began to play a whispy melody. Reaching into his jacket's inside breast pocket, he removed a phone and flipped it open. Quickly reading the text message, he flipped it shut and sighed, "Heh.. Sorry, one of my... Lady friends."

Azric Cane looked down at the cellphone in his hand, then back at Shan. Confusion was replaced by understanding when he remembered that Shan wasn't from Terra. "This thing? It's a cellphone. Mobile communication device. Kinda like a radio, but a little more versatile." He tossed the phone to Shan so he might examine it if he wished, then scratched his scruffy ginger beard, "Captain Khoy huh? Wouldn't be a lady captain, would it? Oh, and when would I be expected to board?"

Azric Cane sighed loudly before saying "So far you Misranans are two for 2 with the guys... There better be women on that planet, or I'll have to terminate my contract." He smiled as Shan looked the phone over, wondering how he could be so interested in something as primative as a phone when he had a walking, talking catmobile following him around.

When Razummy finished speaking, Azric shrugged. "I'm free right now. I'm free tomorrow. Hell, I'm always free. When are there going to be the most women on board?"

Azric Cane laughed at Razummy's reaction and comment, pulling the cigarette pack and lighter from his pocket again. "Nah, my drive is money, Catmobile. But women make things interesting!" He put another cigarette to his lips and lit it, replacing everything into his pockets. "Sure, Shan. I'm game for some entertainment. Where're we headed?" He took a puff, blowing yet more smoke rings on the exhale.

"Never ridden an ATW, but I know a thing or two about motorcyles.." He dropped his freshly-lit cigarette onto the sidewalk and stepped on it, twisting it out. This was going to pretty interesting, he could tell. He got to ride the catmobile, there were lady-agents, and they were in the slums. Man, what could go wrong with this situation? Climbing up to his seat on Razummy, he grabbed hold of whatever he was supposed to, ready for a wild ride.

Azric Cane slammed face first into the ground, having lept from the catmobile before it began to transform. He hadn't seen how Shan dismounted the first time this happened, and he didn't feel like becoming ooz inside the machine's innards.

He pushed himself onto his knees and straightened his pencil tie, bending his head sideways in both directions to pop his neck. Standing with a groan, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a single cigarette, lit it, and replaced the lighter. After two puffs, he finally spoke.

"That... Was a hell of a ride."

Azric Cane brushed the street-dust from his simple black suit when he saw Helmi was approaching him, a grin spreading across his face. "I'm Azric Cane, spy and assassin. The pleasure is mine." He glanced at Lametta briefly, then back to Helmi, "So what's the Orange Guard do on Misrana?"

Azric Cane shrugged, taking a puff from his cigarette, being careful to blow the smoke away from Helmi. He rubbed the back of his neck with his free hand. It was still rather sore from the tumble he had taken from the catmobile. "I donno. I assume you Misranans need information gathered, or a man on the inside of some rival faction. That's what I do best."

Azric Cane nodded to Helmi, then glanced to Lamette again. That one hadn't said a single word since he had gotten here... 'Oh well,' he thought, 'One beautiful lady is enough I suppose.' When the other machine arrived, Azric looked at it with very slight amazment. "Helmi of the Orange Guard, you Misranans have some strange, strange technology."

Azric Cane looked up at the ship in awe when they reached the spaceport. It wasn't the biggest ship he had ever seen, but it certainly was the strangest. And it was indeed beautiful. Azric was so amazed by the ship that he even forgot to light a cigarette.

When Helmi said that he didn't need the names of the other designers, he chuckled to himself. "I don't think you could stop me from finding out, if I really wanted to know." The inside of the ship was just as strange and beautiful as the outside, but by now the nicotine was taking over the wonder, and so Azric put a cigarette to his lips and lit it. Watching her rear, the slender man followed Helmi's lead.

Azric Cane stared blankly at Lametta's hand as it closed around the cigarette. Even he would wince away from that pain, and he could take a lot. Grumbling, he stuck tha smoke back into his pocket. "Give it a cough...? You mean this thing's alive? And you," he said, looking to Lamette, "Haven't said a word since I met you."
