A curious, wandering orphan boy, with a pointy ears and unmistakable charisma of an elegant elf. A mysterious master who hasn't coming back home since he left his apprentice few years ago. All the young elf has is the memory of his burning house, and the screams of his dying maids, the glazed eyes of his wine-loving father and a dead mother wiithin his small embrace. And as he embarked on a journey, he met a demon who was willing to teach him about Elementals. That suprisingly old-but-look-young demon was his master later on, who gave the boy a name since he lost his previous one. As a child part of the fallen noble house, it was a taboo to use the family's name, till he get back what is rightfuly his. And boy, he dreads complicated things.

He was named Balkane. And he kept his mother's last name with him succesfully. Balkane Shu.

Perhaps later on, when he finally became a full-fledged wizard. But now, with his demonic master gone, he was unsure about what to do. Usually he prepared breakfast for that beautiful master of his. Oh, yes, he said beautiful, but his master is in fact, a man. A man with a face that could rival even the empress of a chinese empire.His master likes to fly with that beautiful bat-like wings, and liked to play with him.

One time, his master got home with weird looking crown perched upon his head, and a coat worthy of a great king with a symbolic letters that Balkane could only perceive as gibberish. His master usually grinned at Balkane, and said this in merry manner.

"Well, disciple. When you are old enough, I'll happily accept you as an heir."

Balkane never understands the meanings of these words, though. But he maintained his cute disciple's demeanor, and smiled adorably at his master. And Balkane, having finally accept his master something more than just a teacher, to his own dismay, as a father figure. And now, under his wings' (no pun intended), Balkane manage to prosper more into a strong, and healthy boy.

Juust, to be shattered by the sheer dread of realisation that his master did not coming back for more than a full year, now.

Was this a cruel test of him? Balkane had to embark on a journey again, this time, with a broken heart and a knowledge of that of a genius apprentice wizard.
