Bill was leaning against the outer wall of the bar, innocuous in a pale grey hooded jumper and trousers. He could have been anyone, really.

Bill felt her near him before he actually saw her, and spoke to the empty air; he knew her description, and she smelled of ink. "Emissary for your kind, agent for another. Prey, perhaps, a predator in the lowliest of senses. Do you feel resentment as I have been told?"

Bill continued to face forwards. "A friend suggested that you might be of use to me; that you are being prayed upon by an unsavoury creature." He kept his voice very low, knowing the range of a vampire's hearing exceedingly well by this point in time, and not wanting to be overheard. "I would reward you handsomely for any assistance you might give."

Bill turned just enough to give the creature a dark look. "I suggest you use it to improve your grammar." He vanished into the trees without another word, unwilling to stand such poor company. He would catch Cloasse later.

For some small amount of time, a man had been sitting alone at the far side of the bar, contemplatively working his way through a mug of warming beer. Neatly dressed in pale colours, his hair was long, badly cut but clean, a dull blond that only partially covered quite the horrific scarring that marred one side of his face, where an eye was clearly missing. He appeared to be quite self contained, probably lost deep in thought.

Bill was still sitting in his place, quietly and without fuss. His beer was now empty, and he raised a hand for a moment, hoping to attract the attention of the bartender. His eye, single, standing alone beside the scarred mess that was once an entire side of his face, remained on his empty glass, watching the foam that lingered in its depths with a glassy disinterest.

Bill appeared to be aware that he had successfully drawn the attention he desired, but didn't look around. He spoke to his empty glass. "I'd like another." His voice was as quiet and disinterested as his stare, down, possibly a depressive drunk. It was possible that he was already intoxicated past the point of no return, maybe he'd only had one drink and was just dejected- it was impossible to tell.

Bill examined his glass with the beginnings of a frown, thinking that his request had been ignored, only to glance up with a faintly vacant expression when the bartender arrived with his drink. "Take it easy?" he repeated in soft confusion, as if he wasn't quite sure what he was being asked, though it was possible that he was just too muddled to really understand on his first try.

Bill hummed very softly; a faintly confused sound of agreement. "Thank you... for the drink." he pointed at the glass, as if the bartender wouldn't realise, then settled down to nurse his new pint with the same faintly vacant interest as before.

...that was, of course, until he noticed the arrival of Juliana Paisely, and it was safe to say it took only a minimal amount of time for that to happen. He leaned back into her touch with a scar-twisted smile, hazy eye narrowing in contentment as she whispered into his ear before tracking down to follow the progress of her hemline as she sat down.

"Hello," was all that he said.

Bill continued to watch her. "Is that so?" His smile remained very much in place as he let his hand stray to her knee, apparently arranging her dress into a better position, certainly taking liberties. His attention drifted towards Izumi, as he had noticed the boy's attention, and he shot a sharp, penetrating look in his general direction before reverting his complete attention to his far more interesting partner.

Bill didn't seem to notice the petulant glare, that feather-light laden with the promise of far more interesting things in his mind. He chuckled, leaning in a fraction to press the pad of his forefinger against her nose. "In public? I wouldn't dream of such things."

Bill mirrored her gesture, though when reflected it was quite clear that the gesture was not a bit like her own, despite holding similar origins. However, he let his hand fall away -still taking liberties, certainly- before he made any real progress to confirm her comments.

"You are in no way shy." His expression was close to smirking, clearly he was amused. "You don't hold back." Another chuckle. "Not even -remotely- awkward."

Bill flicked his gaze down, following the progress of her fingers with clear intent. "I wouldn't dream of doing such a thing." His voice suggested that that was indeed his intention as he settled his hand over her own, tracing soft, tingling patterns across her flesh. "You keep looking elsewhere. Tell me what you're thinking." He didn't lift his eye from his knee and their entwined hands.

Bill knew all too well that he possessed a lingering attraction, despite his disgust at where it came from, and still used it to great effect when there was something to gain. "Betrayal." His gaze became hard, the grip on her fingers shivering with some unseen (but nonetheless enticing) energy. "People lie, cheat, steal, betray." He hummed, soft and thoughtful. "Which is why this works so well; we both have no disillusions."

Bill twitched his lips into the ghost of a smile, turning his face so that her fingers brushed his right cheek, the scars there (some only partially healed), tipping his head so that her fingers would find the empty eye-socket amidst the nest of gory ridges. "This is the best way to do such things. There are no lies, no false love, just arrangement."

"You want to know me, because I interest you." He supplied quietly, knowing that he was an ugly man now and taking great pleasure in that fact. He had once been a truly handsome man, but those days were past, he didn't want to draw that kind of attention now. "I am an interesting man, but that doesn't mean I'm a good one."

Bill shrugged a shoulder, dropping his voice so that she alone would hear him. "My interest is rather limited when it comes to others, but yes, I am perhaps a little curious. Know me personally? No, that is something you do not want. Of me? There is much to tell. Perhaps you will understand my motives, not that such things are really important."

Bill suddenly stood, leaving without another word. His motives were his own, as always, and the bar had suddenly become insufferable, despite the ongoing conversation.

Bill watched the woman with a cold, hard eye, finding her staring. He moved to step forwards, but she had already bumped into another. The look he gave her was distasteful and held a clear meaning as he staked past and away.
