Description

Image
[b]Gender:
Appears male... but calls himself more of an "it"
Age: 1,487,238,123,149 years
Race: Bob is what is called a "cosmic horror" (though he finds this title insulting it will have to do as there are few other terms that could describe him quickly enough).

Appearance: When interacting with lesser smaller races, "Bob" shape-shifts into a humanoid form. He can make himself look completely human, but is also able to allow parts of his "true" self appear where he wishes on his body. He may occasionally sprout tentacles, or grow a few extra pair of eyes or mouths and just as easily remove them if he wished. With his shape shifting abilities he could, theoretically, make himself look like anyone he wanted, but he usually sticks with a "default" humanoid. His true form, though, looks like something out of a horror story. A giant squealing mass of fangs, eyes, and tentacles. From past experiences he's learned not too reveal this form often, considering the.... extreme reactions some people have too it.

Height: 4'9" (in human form)
Weight: 130 (in human form)
Hair Color: blackish drown
Eye Color: brown

Personality: Bob can seem Naive at times, mostly due too his lack of experience when dealing with lesser other life forms. Often coming of as very curious, he will constantly sprout questions to his companions about various things he observes, be they mundane or noteworthy. Because of his inquisitive nature, he tends to be easily trusting of others and at times he tends to cling too others, as he feels more isolated alone.

Quirks: He often refers too himself as "this one" rather then "I" and calls himself an "it" rather then a "he". Also he has too keep reminding himself not to refer to others as "Lesser" life forms, and constantly corrects himself mid sentence when speaking.

Likes: Interacting with lesser other life forms, learning, traveling, dreams (he finds them delicious)
Dislikes: anything referring to hentai or being called a character from such works.
Hobbies: reading, experiencing culture and entertainment,

Phobia(s):

Weapon: none

Fighting Style: Bob uses his tentacles for combat, mostly trying to smash his opponents under the weight of his true form and crush by making use of his compressed mass. He shifts his body to grab at advisories with his limbs or trap them with his bodies bulk, then going in close for the kill.

Abilities: Regeneration- Bob has great shape shifting and regenerative powers, allowing him to condense his colossal body into a human form and use the compressed mass to heal injuries and survive even the most excessive trauma. Bob can literately regrow entire sections of his body at a time, and because of his eldritch biology damage to his organs doesn't mean death for him. However his regenerative abilities do have a limit in the form of his stored biomass. Once the condensed biomass wear's down his regeneration takes longer and longer to complete.

Cell stimulation- Bob's healing factor can be shared with others though, as Bob's bile and saliva carries the life giving properties in them. Simply by spitting on a wound he can cause rapid tissue rebuilding in another person as the material in his body stimulates rabid growth.

Space tearing- Though it is more often used as a means of transportation, Bob is able to tear open wholes in space and time and cross gaps in dimensional planes.

Mass warping- Bob has shape shifting abilities, that much has been established. But the sheer scale of it goes beyond simple bone and muscle reconstruction. Bob can literally warp his own body weight, size and density to whatever level he wishes, contorting an unbelievable amount of body volume into a small body while reducing the weight of said body, all the while keeping the same body mass. This ability completely warps the dimensions of his body.

Racial traits:

Personal History: Bob's origins are a bit... odd compared to most life forms. Born in the chaotic energies of the twisting voids between the physical and non physical worlds, Bob began his young life like any other cosmic horror in devouring dying stars for sustenance and (wip)

A dark tear opened in the sky. Like cracks of glass, lines spread along the air. They broke and dark limbs of a fouls energy grasped their edges, pulling open gaping hole in the fabric of space. Slowly, it lurched out from beyond the border. It, fell from the rip, its gateway closing behind it as the darkened mass plummeted toward the ground. With a loud thud it crashed into the earth bellow. Hissing and groaning, it started to try and form itself back together. Subjecting itself to traveling too this plane of existence was a lot more tiring then it first thought.

The fall had been a clumsy one, and the ground had a good sized impact crater from its landing. Lucky it didn't seem too land on anything important. Slowly as it pulled itself out of the dirt, it's darkened mas of a body warped and twisted. Sickening sounds of breaking bones and tearing flesh were heard as the things body started to condense and change in shape. After a few minutes of grotesque noises and erratic spasms of movement, the thing finally took shape as what looked like a human boy, no older then his late teens.

The thing perked it's new humanoid head up. Someone had spoken to it. But he thought there were no sentient creatures in this area. Had he been seen? He turned around and faced another in the clearing, a female by the sent he guessed, covered in some odd fabric. Idly, unsure of the proper greeting. He simply repeated what she had said to him. "Um... hello."

The creature was briefly relieved that the female did not seem to panic yet. The two legged lesser life forms (he needed to stop calling them that before they got offend) usually were terrified of his presence. This one didn't glimpse his true form yet. Or notice the crater just a little ways away that he crawled out of.

"Um... This one apologies, he is lost as well."

She said it would be easier to explain but it couldn't understand. Lost but not lost? He thought only the screeching beast of the fractured merging reality of dreams could manage to be that. Was she also one from beyond the voids? Curiously he watched her approach him. Unsure as what to do.

It blinked once at her sharped teeth. Slowly he was becoming more sure that she wasn't as humanoid as he first thought, thought she did act in a way that suggested otherwise.

"This one was not. This one's means of finding itself here was more inline with.... being deposited here."

When the females ears poked out, he made another note of how less humanoid she was seeming by the minute. Though he was more distracted by here sudden excited behavior. He didn't know what kidnapped meant. But he could answer the rest honestly enough.

"Well, I suppose that yes someone else did put me through a procedure of some sort and leave me in this state." He raised his arms a bit and looked down at himself. While it had remembered to put a human form on it apparently didn't know about the subject of clothing. The subject went unnoticed due to a bush blocking 'the view' from the female and it itself not really knowing about the subject. "While it wasn't painful, it wasn't a pleasant experience that the procedure was on this ones body. It still aches in some places."

It was now even more confused as the female threw a large fabric around it's shoulders. Blinking as if dazed and looking even more lost, he tried to make sense of what she was talking about. Something about not being decent. "This one does not understand... is this one not decent anymore?"

Clothing? Oh that right those strange fabric things they put on to protect themselves from the cold. Odd though, it didn't seem cold enough here to warrant it. Also there was something else it needed clarification on. "But this place in not a public location. That's why this one was deposited here, it was not believed that this one would be found by anyone."

"Doors? Locks? Did do you mean like ethereal gateways?" He asked his head tilted to the side. Maybe he was asking the wrong questions. And if anything it was better that he found a local before he reach a settlement in the first place. This was a great chance to learn about the humanoid life style before he made contact. It would be a better outcome then last time for sure.

"This one was supposed to travel to a settlement. This one wanted to learn more about culture and lifestyle the locals." He explained. "However this ones encounters at the last few places of civilization... didn't turn out so well. And a few misunderstandings caused this one to be deposited out here."

Insane was an understatement for his kind. A boundless wave of fathomless madness that tore at and reshaped the bounds between reality and dream, blending the existent with the nonexistent would be closer to the exact truth, but even that felt vague. "Well, the last settlement was exhibiting some hostility toward this one. Though this one thinks it may have been trust passing where it wasn't allowed to be without knowing." Of course it probably should have figured that out when they started shooting at it. It wasn't until later that he learned that appearing in his greater form might invoke hostility towards him. "This one has been left.... confused by recent proceedings, and it was hoping that it might learn how to better avoid events like it's previous experiences." Like for example, what she meant by this cloths thing.

It stared at her for a moment, realizing that it itself never thought of a name to call itself by. Speaking it's real name was... troublesome considering the amount of screaming involved and the number of syllables that couldn't be produced by a human throat. It remembered a name term taht the humanoids used once, a name not attached to anyone specific and decided to use it. "This one refers to itself as Bob. It is pleased to greet you Ianthe."

Tilting his head again he listened to his new companion. Absorbing her talk of pathways and how they worked. Fascination entering his mind. He followed quickly after her as she darted of along the path.

"Well..." The one called Bob started, "This one was attempting to communicate with the inhabitants of a large settlement far from here. Though this one is still not sure why, but it seemed to have invoked hostility from the inhabitants and they attacked this one. It was forced too flee as they attempted to chase this one, and after retreating a great distance this one found itself displaced in the are that you found it in."

Bob looked up at Ianthe's ears. Their position on the top of her head gave the appearance of the female having a few inches of height over himself. He didn't understand though, what the outward appearance would do to cause hostility, since it seemed like such a relatively minor difference between her and other humanoids. "This one does not think that your appearance should warrant hostility, Ianthe." He said looking at her in a focused manner. Without speaking or warning he reached up and grabbed on of her ears between his fingers. Tentatively he rubbed them between his index finger and thumb. "This one does not think that your outward physical appearance feels truly demonic." He didn't say so to her, but Bobs fingers were subtly feeling for biological and spiritual data. He did sense demonic energy, but it was not coming from her flesh. "You're body is humanoid as far as this one can tell."

Bob was surprised when she grabbed his hand and pulled it way. He didn't realize that humanoids didn't like being touched on the ears. "Oh, this one apologizes. He didn't mean to offend. Touch is used as a major means of communication amongst this ones kind. This one was not aware that it was not allowed to feel your ears." Tilting his head to one side, he observed her again. Out of the corner of his eye he noticed her tail going stiff behind her. "Are there other places this one is not permitted to touch." Even as he said that, he was already reaching out to grasp the wolf girl's tail.

Bob blinked, twice. "Oh." He said again. This time having the sense to look somewhat ashamed. "This one is apologetic. It has not had much experience with interactions with humanoids. It has only really known how to behave around it's brethren." It was becoming an constant problem. His lack of for knowledge had caused several misunderstandings and mistakes so far. Though he probably should have figured that humanoids didn't like physical contact at the same time that he found that they lacked his kinds level of regenerative abilities.

Bob blinked again, this time a third eye briefly appeared on his forehead in his surprise, before melding back into his skin as he regained control of himself. He bowed his head. Ashamed at being found out so quickly, and unsure of how to respond. "This one..." He stopped mid sentence, grimaced, and then tried to start again. "This one is not humanoid as you have guessed. It and it's kind are... difficult to explain." Bob looked away, trying to find a some means of explaining it too the female without causing her to become agitated like the countless other humanoids he had come across. "This one is... an entity from beyond the swirling broken voids beyond the astral and physical, where what is reality and what is not interchange in their existence." He shook his head. "This one apologies, that is still vague to explain it's origin. It is... from some place very far from this place, where humanoids are rare. This one wanted to learn more about humanoids, and came too this place hopping to communicate with them. However it was not welcomed, especially in it's true form, and even was attacked several times when it tried to converse. This one tried changing itself into a humanoid form of it's own in the hopes of lessening the hostility."

Bob tried to imitate the females facial feature, giving a sort of wonky smile of his own. "Well, then this one thanks you still for understanding and sympathizing with this one. It is glad to have met you Ianthe." He stood, practicing his grinning for a few seconds. Then just as the moment was passing, a wind blew through the clearing in the trees, throwing up bobs cloak and giving a 'visual reminder' of why they were heading toward the city in the first place.

Bob didn't know what she meant by perverted? Was that like corruption? But he accepted her words on the matter and nodded. "Very well. This one ask that you lead the way."
