Description

Image
Nickname: Kitty (She goes by this normally and will generally tell people that this is her actual name when it isn’t.)
Age: Seventeen
Gender: Female
Birthday: November 25th (Sagittarius)
Species: Human
Occupation: Pokemon trainer, Contest Performer
Personality: Generally cheerful and goes out of her way to help others once she gets to know someone, becomes serious and sharply focused when a situation turns sour. Often shy at first towards people, but is open and friendly towards most Pokemon almost automatically.
Alignment: Neutral Good
Likes: Kind people, nature, most Pokemon.
Dislikes: Greed, evil organizations, cruelty.
Strengths: Very kind, naturally good with Pokemon and can understand them for the most part.
Weaknesses: Can be taken advantage of, very nervous around new people, afraid of spiders, naive.
Hobbies: Exploring, swimming, taking naps.
Special skills: Can understand Pokemon as though they are speaking english, or at least her own language. The backfire of this is that she cannot understand enraged or legendary pokemon such as Dialga, Palkia, Reshiram, ect. without having known them for a long period of time.
Patience level: Moderate.
Life goal: Own a Pokemon ranch on a cliff side where she can perform with her Pokemon and live with them peacefully.
Bad habits: Bites off more than she can chew more often than not, and also will act without first thinking things through. Along with this, she doesn't always communicate with others in dire situations, although she has attempted to improve this.
Social/Mental issues: Has trouble talking with people due to past experiences with her father, and does not understand how families work in general.
Favorite food: Pancakes; Whether they're plain or have something on them, she generally loves them.
Outlook on life: Nothing in life is free, but you should always do your best with what you have.

Past History: Kitty lived with her Father in the Sinnoh region from birth until age eleven. Kitty’s Mother died to disease when she was three and her Father was not the best parent, often going off on trips, leaving her alone with a one of his Pokemon (this being a Kangaskan, Altaria or Umbreon, depending on who he decided to leave behind) to take care of her in his absence. She grew more fond of Pokemon than people because of this, and grew up learning to understand them. She went to basic classes about Pokemon training when she was small and enjoyed the idea of making shows with Pokemon rather than battling with them, and would eventually write about them in her notebook, and occasionally draw diagrams. When she was eleven, almost all of her classmates had headed out on journeys (that were going to) and she asked her Father for permission when he came back from a trip he’d taken. He told her that she was never to go on a journey, because it simply β€œwasn’t right for her”. Needless to say, she ran away about a week later to start a journey and hasn’t been home since. She headed out into Sinnoh to explore the region and befriended quite a few Pokemon (which are listed below). She didn’t focus on battling at gyms as much as most trainers and only fought at them as a necessity and never actually went to battle the E4 of the region. Instead, after she’d obtained the gym badges of the Sinnoh region, she headed to the Unova region and explored there and caught Pokemon. She is currently still traveling around, going to any region she can get to, whether it be on a boat, plane, or on the back of one of her Pokemon.

Equipment:
Shoulder bag which contains a notebook for writing notes on opponents, about her pokemon, or drawing diagrams. She also has a few pencils, an eraser and a sharpener. Otherwise, she has several Pokeballs, a few full-heals, super potions, and a few different berries, which are mostly used for eating on the road.

- Main Pokemon -

Aquilan the Male Empoleon (Lv. 55)
Calm Nature, Torrent ability
- Aqua Jet
- Drill Peck
- Hydro Cannon
- Earthquake
- Blizzard
- Surf
The first pokemon Kitty ever received. She met him as a Piplup outside her home town. The two of them having been outcasts, they bonded quickly and became the best of friends. He has been with her since the beginning and acts like a protective older brother, and will often give her hugs and be out of his ball to walk around with her.

Aster the Male (shiny) Staraptor (Lv. 50)
Brave Nature, Reckless/Intimidate abilities
- Close Combat
- Brave Bird
- Double-Edge
- Roost
- Detect
- Fly
The second Pokemon Kitty ever became close friends with, he is one of the two shiny pokemon she has, and the last of her first Pokemon she carries with her everywhere. Although brash and reckless, he does have a soft side and will teach anyone his tricks who is willing to listen.

Eclipse the Male Zweilous (lv. 50)
Sassy Nature, Hustle ability
- Dark Pulse
- Fire Fang
- Ice Fang
- Zen Headbutt
- Protect
- Incinerate
Eclipse is one Zweilous that will not allow itself to be pushed around by others, be it people or pokemon. He has a strong sense of right and wrong, and thinks that he is always in the right, even if he’s doing something selfish. He will support Kitty if someone tries to tell her she’s making the wrong decision, and joined on one of her more recent adventures.

Emmy the Female Espurr (Lv. 25)
Timid Nature, Keen Eye/Infiltrator/Own Tempo abilities
- Calm Mind
- Light Screen
- Fake Out
- Psyshock
- Assist
- Yawn
An Espurr given to her as an egg by a friend of hers in the Kalos region. Emmy is generally very observant and will only give an occasional β€˜meow’ to alert Kitty or others that something seems wrong or if she wants something. Most of the time it’s just food, though. Emmy does not participate in battles most of the time and is used mostly for Kitty’s performances.

Aurora the Female Milotic (Lv. 50)
Adamant Nature, Competitive/Cute Charm/Marvel Scale abilities
- Aqua Tail
- Coil
- Dragon Tail
- Magic Coat
- Safeguard
- Hypnosis
A very cool-tempered pokemon and possibly the most authoritative of new members, Aurora is the cool, quiet type who stays strict to the set of rules she sets forth for herself. She doesn’t obey Kitty all of the time in battles, but will always do her very best in performances.

Melody the Female Tropius (Lv. 50)
Modest Nature, Harvest/Chlorophyll/Solar Power abilities
- Sweet Scent
- Air Slash
- Sunny Day
- Defog
- Solar Beam
- Synthesis
Melody is a pokemon that Kitty received from a passerby trainer in exchange for her Glameow, Nix. This friend would also later send her Emmy as an egg. Melody is a very relaxed pokemon and will often hum or occasionally sing, and is a motherly figure for Kitty.

Sub Pokemon -

Aruane the Male Altaria (Lv. 50)
Modest Nature, Cloud Nine/Natural Cure abilities
- Dragon Rush
- Dragon Dance
- Cotton Guard
- Earthquake
- Mist
- Feather Dance
Maybe the most regal of Kitty's Pokemon, Aruane isn't with her very much, excluding contests and performances, and acts like he's a prince among pokemon. He'll always have his head held high and will sit on Kitty's arm when she has it outstretched for him to perch on, never failing to make sure he has her attention when he wants it.

Plush the Female Azumarill (Lv. 40)
Naive Nature, Thick Fat/Huge Power/Sap Sipper abilities
- Body Slam
- Aqua Tail
- Play Rough
- Protect
- Future Sight
- Supersonic
Plush is a playful pokemon who is generally around just to be a companion, and thus isn't around very much. She adores battling, underneath all of the hugs and dancing. Plush will often be teamed up with Tsuki during contests, and the two are one of Kitty's most used pairs.

Clarity the Female Pidove (Lv. 16)
Timid Nature, Super Luck/Big Pecks/Rivalry abilities
- Gust
- Hypnosis
- Quick Attack
- Air Cutter
- Lucky Chant
- Tailwind
A determined Pidove that was caught on a recent adventure, having been scared half to death by Emmy. She reluctantly joined the team after losing a battle to Emmy, and isn't around as much due to her low strength and reclusive personality. She and Emmy have become reoccurring partners in shows and contests that either are entered in.

Tsuki Senshi the Male (Shiny) Umbreon (Lv. 40)
Sassy Nature, Synchronize/Inner Focus abilities
- Moonlight
- Detect
- Shadow Ball
- Dark Pulse
- Hyper Beam
- Psychic
Hatched from an egg Kitty received, Tsuki isn't with her as often as he'd probably like, mostly because kitty wants him to be more of performing Pokemon than a battling one. He will patiently wait for his time to shine, although if anyone tries to be rude to him about the fact he isn't with his trainer, he'll snap right back at them and get defensive.

Lucky the Male Riolu (Lv. 25)
Calm Nature, Steadfast/Inner Focus/Prankster abilities
- High Jump Kick
- Blaze Kick
- Force Palm
- Toxic
- Protect
- Substitute
A Riolu that Kitty found out on a mountain training without a trainer. After besting him in a fight with Emmy, he agreed to join Kitty on adventures. He isn't with her most of the time, but when he is, he gives it his all in helping her and the other Pokemon to be the best they can be. Despite his small size and low level, Lucky uses his wit to battle instead of sheer strength, although he's still not known to win most battles with stronger Pokemon.

A very curious Kitty would head to the building where the others had gone, her Espurr, Emmy, perched atop her head. The two had been looking for some kind of trip to go on, and Kitty had found out that a group of people were going on an ocean adventure. How could she resist? Having discussed it with Emmy and thought it over, she had finally decided to try to join in on the mission.

"Hello? Is this where the Gaol mission is?" Kitty would call once inside, looking around. Emmy would give a simple meow in response, sliding down to Kitty's shoulders and then moved to be positioned in the Trainer's arms. Kitty simply moved so that her Espurr wouldn't fall in response, silently hoping an answer to her question would come in a positive light.

"Uh...thank you, I guess?" Shirona responded to Roger's insinuation, a tepid reply to be sure. Whether it was about the eyes or the suits, well, that was anyone's guess...just the way she liked it. She even helped Titania zip into her suit and attach the extra tank. "Now, remember, just because we've got two tanks doesn't mean you get to use one for more time. This is for if a tank malfunctions ONLY." As a fellow ex-Champion, Shirona was one of the few people that got to tell Titania what to do as a friend.

"Right. Gotcha. Only if we need to pull Valorie out of a Tentacruel's grasp or if somebody steps on a Stunfisk," Titania nodded...wait. Gaol mission? The redhead perked up to see a new girl. Her gaze shot over to Gold. "Who else did you tell besides me and her? Ah, never mind, we might end up needing her. Grab a suit and a tank and climb in, I'm not waiting for nightfall," she snapped. "Hope you got Pokemon that can take the pressure, kid." At least Gold's tank would serve as a third extra for the late arrival.

Unfortunately for the impatient Titania, nightfall very well could have come before her departure with yet another inconvenience: The ill-fated surfacing of Isabella's own submersible.

Isabella returned to Olivine empty-handed and dismayed. She had found plenty of ghosts, but they were only simple frillishes. As she angled herself back at the surface, her faithful Amphrose nuzzled her shoulder comfortingly. "So maybe I won't become famous for being the first to discover a new species today. There's always tomorrow. Besides, it was a nice outing. Not every day do we get to see... really dark darkness." She sighed, slacking against the steering controls. "This is why I don't hunt water types, 'rose. They always-" thunk!
Isabella jerked upright. "What in the-?" She maneuvered her device to one side, then finally broke the surface. She unbuckled herself from her seat and craned to look out the porthole. "Oh no..." In her carelessness, she had struck the Gold during her ascent, and probably scraped the bottom something fierce. The roof of her submersible hadn't been pierced, so at the very least she knew she didn't just sink someone else's property. "...and this is a rental."

A hatch at the top of the submersible popped open; a concerned-looking amphrose poked its head out, ears low on its head. "Heeermph?" she whined while Isabella struggled to pull herself out from around her.
"It's fine. Maybe they won't notice?" She spoke too loudly, and too soon, and hoped desperately that the people standing near the Gold weren't its owners. "...uh..." she waived. "Hi."
Isabella slid down the front of her sub's windshield and off its nose onto the dock. Her amphrose followed, albeit less gracefully and landed splayed across the floor. As it righted itself, Isabella pulled her sweater around her herself and crossed her arms. "Nice to meet you?"

"That's the magic of advertising, Champ." Roger replied good naturedly with a wink. Apparently he'd been asking for help publicly, which explained why DIN-02 was able to get involved in spite of clearly being distrusted by the man. Roger turned his attention to the two newcomers as the sound of scraping metal sent a shiver down his spine. He would gesture for Isabella to wait a moment, unable to really deal with what he'd just seen right away. "Welcome! You're in the right place, Miss..?" he replied to Brianna, asking for the other's name. "Take one of these suits and suit up. I have a few more things I need to explain before we depart." he explained, producing a diving suit for Brianna. He then attached a spare tank to her suit, just as he had Titania and Shirona. "Make sure to keep that with you. Save it for an emergency where a tank malfunctions or runs out of air, kay?" he explained, patting Brianna's shoulder before turning to acknowledge Isabella.

"Looks like you missed public docking by a few meters, Miss." Roger remarked rather dryly, entirely unamused with Isabella's display. One could just see the restraint in his eyes, in his tense face--probably for the sake of the child in the room. "Now I have to examine the sub to make sure it's still safe to travel. That's going to make us -late-..." he went on in an exasperated tone. "If you're here on purpose and interested in joining the expedition into the Gaol, throw on a diving suit and listen up. Otherwise, I'll have to ask you wait here until I've assessed the damage." he explained, clearing his throat.

Valorie pouted at no one in particular, her patience for being treated like a child growing thin.

Roger turned to address the group. "Now, two more things before you board the submarine. One, your helmets will have closed radios in them. You'll be able to communicate with each other for up to thirty miles. These radios cannot be turned off and for good reason. Do not raise your voice into the radio unless someone is in danger or you need help. In the event that one of your suits becomes damaged, stay calm and have a pokemon gently escort you back to the submarine. These suits are much tougher than they look, but if they do break it won't be pretty." he warned, moving to the access ramp for the submarine. "That being said, we're ready to move out. I'll be joining you, but I cannot exit the submarine with you once we reach our destination. Now I just need to check and make sure that little bump was as 'little' as it looked before we set off. You can go ahead and get in if you want." he replied, moving to go inspect the submarine. It clearly wasn't sinking, but if the hull had been damaged it might be a bad idea to put it in deep water pressure.

DIN-02 grinned at Brianna, his eyes glowing with a gold artificial light. One might notice that his joints had seams, much like a ball jointed doll. He also wasn't wearing suit. She might notice that Valorie's eyes also glew, but in a more magical fashion. Each eye seemed to contain a miniature aurora in it, nearly obscuring her actual irises from sight. She seemed very distracted by Isabella at the moment, quietly contemplating whether the other was liable to get them killed if she came along.

The robot spoke. "Hey babe." he remarked casually in greeting, clearly thrilled to be the only male in the group. He did not push his luck however, moving to follow Roger. There was a time and place for everything, but not now. ...Maybe in like, five minutes though. "Nice one~" he remarked in passing to Isabella, apparently incapable of taking the situation seriously.

Kitty was taken by surprise with how many people there were and would simply step forward and nod to Titania and then Roger, getting her suit that she was handed on swiftly. "M-My name is Kitty," She would inform Roger, now outwardly nervous. She wasn't used to being around so many people at once, or at least in a friendly manner!

She would stay observant and would hesitate to compliment Valorie's eyes, curious as to if there was some kind of story behind them being that way. Perhaps she was just born with magically beautiful eyes? Valorie might notice Kitty's awkwardly long stare, and the moment she was spoken to, Kitty would turn to Gold with a curious look on her face. "Hello there," She responded softly, caught off guard. Emmy meowed at Gold, looking at him with that intensely blank stare her species was known for. "You should probably sit this one out, Emmy," Kitty commented quietly, returning the Espurr to her Pokeball with minor protest. She would head after Rodger, not being as social as she probably should. Hopefully she would warm up to the others once they were all under the waves.

Titania was the first to speak up this time as she got strapped in. "Hey. Valorie. Thanks for not throwing a fit back there at being called a child. You and I both know it's a long story...and I'm sure you'll have plenty of time to tell it on the way down."

"Wait. What's a long story?" Shirona inquired as she got next to Roger in the navigation. Part of being an archaeologist involved being able to read maps, after all. This left Titania in the unenviable position of sitting next to Gold. Which was fine, since he got everyone into this mess to start with.

"Let's just say that Valorie is...petite." Wait. Titania being tactful? This would probably throw off everyone who knew her to a certain extent. Once seating arrangements were sorted out and hull integrity was assured, on with the adventure. The street racer part of the redhead wanted to go, go, go already. If Gold wanted to drag her all the way out here for a character-building exercise, best get it OVER with.

"...the 'Gaol'?" Isabella's eyebrows came together. Ampharose muzzled her hand; she absent-mindendly slid her hand around to the back of her head and rubbed a finger between her ears. "...I uh..." She was clearly perplexed by the underwhelming response her accident received. "...t-that uh... y-yeah. I'm here for that. Certainly." She cleared her throat and straightened her back. She repeated herself more confidently: "I am here for-uh, said expedition. To... explore... I will return momentarily."
Isabella pulled an about-face and carefully climbed back onto the nose of her submersible. She stopped when she reached the hatch. "Sorry Rose; you need to return. Not everyone is comfortable being crammed in with each other and I think your... proclivity for shocking them might compound that." The pokemon bowed its head and offered a short, mourn full whine before being absorbed into her pokeball. Isabella slid it into one of the 6 pockets of her messenger bag when she dropped back into the submersible. While she collected her (unused) exploration equipment, she thumbed a call on her xtransciever to its owner. She offered a quick but sincere apology for the damage, and swore she would help in its repairs. "...yes. No. It's fine. It's not sinking. I'll park it where... yes. No. I'm fine. The boat is fine. But I'm going on another expedition. No, in someone else's submersible. ....yes. I didn't damage it that badly. And I have Psydux with me. Yes I'll-I have to go. I don't want to keep anyone waiting."

Isabella popped back out the hatch. She secured it before sliding back down the nose to the dock. Messenger bag bouncing against her hip and a diving suit dragged under one arm, she returned to Roger. "...permission to come aboard?"

Valorie noticed the stare she was being given. It wasn't an unfamiliar one, nor the worst she'd received--especially after certain other individuals with glowing eyes had started running around. Brianna would recieve a weak-hearted smile in response as the group made their way to follow Roger.

DIN-02 casually grinned in a carefree manner at Kitty.

As the group descended into the submarine they would find Roger hovering over a dashboard. Valorie seemed to nod in a thoughtful manner as Titania greeted her. "...That's a pretty good way to describe it." she mused aloud, apparently thankful for Titania's tact.

The submarine's engines roared to life and a solitary red warning light greeted Roger's face. The man narrowed his eyes, staring the warning light down. It stared back unrelentingly. A sigh escaped his lips. "Well--That's the end of that. Ladies--Gentle...bots, we have a problem." he announced, ushering the group out of the submarine.

...Back on the docks. "Sorry about the rush, but it looks like my sub's out of commission for a little while." Roger explained, holding up his arms. "Luckily, I can ask a friend to head on over and bring their sub. It'll probably take about an hour for them to get here. If you want to hang around I'll order some pizza. I'm going to be settling some business with our new 'friend'. Hopefully by the time our loaned sub comes around the pizza will be long gone and we'll be able to set to sea without any further delays." Roger explained, his eyes trailing to Isabella. The man was clearly a bit frustrated with the situation.

...Roughly an hour and several local pizzas later, a new submarine arrived with a somewhat younger man beckoning the group on board. Note-worthily, Roger and Isabella would be staying behind to deal with the issue of their little 'accident'.

As the group boarded, the submarine was already ready to begin descending. "Alright. For the first part of our trip I'll request everyone be sitting and strapped in. My name is Tristan, I'll be in guiding you to The Gaol." he announced.

"About time!" DIN-02 announced enthusiastically.

The shuffling around was a bit unsettling for Kitty, and she mostly kept to herself through it. The pizza was good, and finally getting into the submarine that they were going to ride was a huge relief. Kitty would smile as she got strapped in, excited to go on this underwater adventure. Observing the others, Kitty could see she wasn't the only one excited by their departure and took note of it.
Hoping things wouldn't get too hectic, Kitty would nod to Tristan silently, ready to go. Onward, to adventure!

The pizza was good. Fresh cheese made from Moomoo Farm milk just up the road, combined with locally sourced ingredients made for some really great stuff. And then there were the ice-cold bottles of soda pop. Hey, humans got thirsty too.

"Oh man. After a meal like that, I'm ready to take on the world," Titania beamed, but Shirona gave her broad shoulder a little squeeze to remind the redhead just how far she had to go. The taller blonde could squash her any day of the week, and they both knew it. Shirona then seized the initiative. "All right. It's going to be a tight fit, but we'll all have to strap into this one sub. Can't have the two bumping into each other. I'll be up front with the pilot. Titania, hook up the tanks, you've got that wrench-turning strength. Gold, Tristan and I are going to need to see what you showed Titania earlier so we can navigate." This maneuver was meant not only to find their way down, but to give the girls some peace and quiet while they changed into their suits.

"Once everyone's suited up, we're heading off!" Shirona smiled as Titania got to work immediately. Part of being a great Trainer was knowing how to make the most of what you had to work with. While the iron maiden in front of her tried to rely on a steel-type's natural defenses to outlast a foe while blindly hammering away, there was a visible gap in experience and ability. It was the difference between a novice and a grandmaster--one was learning how to figure out what the right move was, while the other simply knew from being in a similar situation dozens of times. Meanwhile, she hunched over and looked at Gold. "I'd like that file, please."

Titania, for her part, was anxious to get on the road already before the mood to confront her personal demons passed and she regressed into anger and self-loathing. Once the kids were suited up, the adults would go into the changing room.

"So, Titania, I noticed you were unusually tactful back there about one of the kids. Has something gotten into you?"

"Call it turning over a new leaf. I think I'll leave this one turned, given the reaction I got from you." An insane, playful grin from the redhead.

"Have you dyed your hair? It definitely looks brighter than before."

"Nah, this is natural. What's really weird is that I barely go outside and yet my skin's gotten darker."

"When we get back to the surface, you and I are going to have a long talk," Shirona sighed to Titania. Something didn't add up here. The ex-champion of Sinnoh needed answers about Titania's misadventures on Terra.

Deep below the waves, the sights and sounds were absolutely breathtaking. As in, going out to see them would result in swift and certain death.

"Looking good in your suits, everybody," Titania said as she squirmed, anxiously awaiting whatever lurked in wait. Given the occasional Tentacruel, she wasn't too nervous yet, but a nagging fear from something the robot boy said still ate at her. Something about how she needed this more than he did. Whatever was down there wasn't even a challenge for him, and yet he was passing this off. It was either a veiled insult, a left-handed compliment, or a genuine chance to increase her strength, but in any case the robot was clearly stronger.

"Shirona...I have to admit. I'm a little scared. Thought you should know before we suit up and head out." "I already knew that. I could hear it in your voice, that false confidence," Shirona said with a smile. "Good that you're trying to nurture positive emotions to drown out the negative. I want to see you beat this thing, whatever it is. The Indigo League needs its champion to act like one. Speaking of, how did the tournament to decide your successor go?"

"We, uh...we haven't gotten around to that yet," Titania responded sheepishly. Gold would probably have perked up by now. A fair shot to be a freaking regional champ, after all! And to know that he brought the champ to her knees! At least the shorter redhead knew better than to tell him to shut up--that would just encourage him to say it more.

"All right. When we get to the sea floor, kids go first. Shirona and I are carrying the tanks," Titania said with authority. "If you have a problem, you come to me, I'll give you a spare. Once everyone's down to their last tank, we get the hell out of there no matter what. This place is very dangerous. Don't go wandering from the group, and don't test the limits of your oxygen supply. Let's get our lungs used to it, just like the nice man taught us, using the on-board supply to avoid draining the tanks we'll be carrying. Valorie, you first." Titania passed a mask with an attached hose to the petite female, eagerly anticipating the transition to the cartoon voice.

Valorie would reach out and accept the mask Titania was offering her, curiously eyeing it for a moment. This was ... new. She slipped the mask on and took a deep breath. "Between us girls, I feel the same way Titania." she admitted casually, her soprano tones having risen to levels normally reserved for animated depictions of chipmunks. "Forget you heard that, Gold~" she went on to remark light-heartedly.

DIN-02 smirked. "...Doesn't breathing suck?" he asked, eliciting a groan and a head shake from Valorie. "I'm not gonna lie. Watching you breath is fun sometimes, but I wouldn't hold my breath on convincing me to try it any time soon." Gold went on to remark.

Valorie rolled her eyes. "With puns like those, I don't think you'll have any trouble convincing anyone to stop breathing." Valorie replied, feigning amusement. "Why so cold, babe?" DIN-02 asked. "I'm looking for someone a little more 'grown up'." Valorie half-heartedly answered. "Harsh!" DIN-02 relented. "You have no idea." Valorie mused aloud.

"Turn Back..." ...The voice was heard by all, as if it was all around them. Valorie froze up and glanced around. DIN-02 fell silent, but remained unfazed. Neither seemed sure how to react. A moment would pass before the voice returned again, this time far more powerful than before.

TURN BACK! it roared, violently shaking the ship and it's occupants. Warning sirens began going off in response, the submarine's way of letting them know it was being treated too roughly. Tristan was quick to jump up. "Everyone, get ready for emergency evac! secure your suits and your oxygen tanks now!" he commanded.

DIN-02 stood and glanced around. "You heard him, ladies! 'Yelly warny' out there is ripping the ship apart, and you don't want to get caught outside of your suit at this depth." the robot chimed in. Tristan and DIN-02 moved to help the others prepare for hte worst as a shockwave ripped through the ship, once again violently rocking it. They were clearly under attack, but there wasn't a whole lot they could do from inside the sub.

A glowing green orb drifted steadily towards the submarine, it's course weaved around the sub that was attacked. The orb stopped at the front of the submarine maintaining a five meter distance from the submarine. If anyone paid attention to it or scanned it the orb gave off an incredible amount of power from it and seemed no bigger than a basketball. The green orb finally impacted the front of the submarine, liquifying the hull in front of it and solidifying the hull again when it was inside. As it lay upon the floor of whatever room it breached a green light glowed from every surface of the submarines exterior. The hull was strengthened, but by how much was unknown at this moment.

Not good. DEFINITELY NOT GOOD. "Roger! You get in your suit too, we're about to be compromised! Trust me, I know my metals!" Titania screamed, Shirona helping to pull the zippers up before effortlessly slipping into her own. As Roger fumbled with the bit of switching everyone's oxygen on, the green orb managed to hit.

What...the...fuck? No time, they had to get out now. At least the mysterious new arrival would help to ensure that they would have a submarine to which to retreat. "Come on, Ulysses. You saved me all those years ago from a watery fate...let's do it one more time, partner," she added, looking at one of her Pokeballs in particular and getting ready to battle right out the hatch. Only her Empoleon was even remotely suited to fighting in an aqueous environment, so if he went down, everyone would be in trouble. "Shirona, you'll probably have to team your Milotic up with my Empoleon down here. Valorie, your Dragonite will be welcome as well." An affirmative nod from the taller blonde.

"No more time to be afraid! Let's do this, everyone! Depressurize the hatch and get ready to come out swinging!"

As soon as the submarine began to shake, Kitty quickly got up and started getting ready to get out of the submarine, grabbing her suit and an oxygen tank, getting them on with a little bit of assistance. Following the others, Kitty took note of the Pokemon she'd brought and decided that Plush, her Azumaril, would probably be best for the situation once they were out of the submarine. If things got too hot for Plush to handle, she'd also brought Aquilan. The others seemed to have a plan, so hopefully she'd be able to help once they'd gotten out into the water.

Kitty did her best to ignore the weird orb... Whatever it was, it probably wasn't going to help with the current situation, and there was no sense worrying about it. What was attacking the submarine, and would they be able to calm it down if it was a pokemon..? She looked at the others as the group prepared to depressurize the hatch, ready for a battle.

Tristan helped Valorie secure her fishbowl helmet, checking over the group and ushering them towards the back in preparation for a quick escape. Several warning lights turned off in the cabin, but this was lost on the crew. At this depth, their lives depended on not trusting the submarine to magically hold itself together under an assault like that.

"Hey uh..." DIN-02 began, glancing back and fourth. "I kind of can't swim, so I'll see you guys around. Alright?" he remarked before haphazardly ejecting himself from the sub. Apparently the robot needed no suit, however he sank like a brick and was quickly lost to the ocean floor.

...As the girls were ushered to follow, Tristan hesitated. The sub was his livelihood, not easily replaced. He had to try and save it. Heading back to the cockpit, he began examining it to get an idea of the damage it had suffered.

Outside of the sub, the water was dim. They were already deep enough that vision was limited. Their somewhat form-fitting diving suits had glow in the dark patches on them to help them keep track of eachother, with Valorie and Brianna's child suits being extra bright for increased visibility. Valorie's pokeball opened to reveal her massive Dragonite, to whom she immediately clung. Dragonite seemed at home in the depths of the ocean, pleased even. Her head reared and her eyes locked onto something in the distance however.

...A massive crag laid not far off, from which something that looked not dissimilar from oil leaked out of. The thick black substance was not totally oily, however. One could not help but notice... hundreds of tiny little eyes, peering into them from within the smog. The hidden monsters quickly retreated into the crag, vanishing without a trace and leaving only foreboding darkness in it's wake.

"...Joooooin us." a familiar voice said, the mere sound of its voice giving off the sensation of one's guts rearranging themselves. There was a vaguely threatening hint of sarcasm in it's words.

"...That's a sudden change of tune." Valorie remarked in mild surprise over the radio built into their helmets.

"Yeah, I think I'll have to pass on that offer." Tristan added, clearing his throat. "Alright. The sub is... holding itself together, for now. I'm going to try and pull it back to safety. Remember the buddy system. Titania? Shirona? Keep an eye on the kids at all times. Valorie? Brianna? Don't wander away without a chaperone. If you get lost down there, there's no guarantee you'll ever be found. Safety first." Tristan explained. "Let me know over the radio when you're ready to be picked up!" he would then call out, gently easing the submarine back around.

Valorie's gaze shifted to Titania knowingly. She was a bit indignant about being treated like a child, but at the same time she understood that getting lost was very fatal to adults too. She knew at least one of the two on-record champions would treat her with a bit of dignity. "So uh... We've got to hunt that thing and figure out if it's what's been making all those ships disappear?" she asked no one in particular.

The green orb rolled forwards through the corridor, if a closed door was in its way the orb melted a hole through it without slowing its pace. As it moved through the ship any that remained inside the sub suddenly had visions with scenes outside the sub showing agonizing death and suffering. Even pokemon had these visions, whether it was a projection of a possible future, the inevitable future, or just a dream was a mystery. The orb continued until it stopped in the engine room where it glowed brighter. The engine and machinery within this room liquefied until the floor, walls, and roof began to soften.

"Like hell I'm letting anybody get lost after what happened to me," Titania barked. "Valorie, on me. Shirona, I'm dumping the other one on you. As for the robot, I know he can find his own way back...he told me this wouldn't be a problem for him after our battle. Plus I'm glad to be rid of the pain in the ass."

Just moving the legs for swimming would be difficult down here with all the water pressure. But thanks to Valorie's gigantic Dragonite, they didn't have to. "Val, come pick me up. Just doing flutter kicks is tiring me the hell out. Whatever's down there, we're going to need all we've got to slap the stupid right out of it," Titania added over the radio.

"You know, Valorie, it's funny," she added after she presumably got snatched up, "this is the first time in years I've faced such a clearly malevolent threat. But you know what's different? I'm not scared this time. I know I have friends that will get me out if things turn sour, and I'm not talking about my Pokemon. Back on Terra, they just left me to my terrible fate. The others even seemed like they were just gonna lie there and take it. Now let's find out what's in there. I'm thinking Malamar. Nothing else lives this deep and is this sinister. Jellicent, perhaps, but they're nowhere near this kind of foreboding. And I don't think Crawdaunt like it in the ocean."

Once Kitty had gotten into the water, she made her Azumaril come out of her pokeball and hugged onto it, going to follow after the others while on Plush's back. She tried to identify which one was Shirona and moved towards her after listening to Titania assign partners, smiling, and offered her hand to her so that they could stay together. The situation was tense, and she hoped everything would end up alright. The three other ladies knowing each other was good, as they'd probably have some idea of each other's styles of fighting and how to work with each other. The only issue was, with that logic, that Kitty didn't know them very well. She pat Plush's head and the Azumaril smiled at Kitty, prepared to get moving when the others were.

"We may have accidentally entered their territory..." Kitty spoke softly, trying to give some kind of insight into the situation. She looked around at the others, "So... who's going first?"

Tristan's hands trembled a bit as he was assaulted with rather lucid visions. He was just sort of left there feeling absolutely terrible as... what was that? Warning sirens? Tristan snapped out of his momentary horror induced shock, his survival instincts kicking into action. As checked the status of the sub his blood ran cold; it quickly became apparent that he had made a big mistake in sticking around. The enormous pressure on the hull of the sub quickly overwhelmed the softening metal, a massive hole ripping through the structure of the sub and explosively decompressing it. The ship, much like DIN-02, soon dropped like a rock behind the girls with Tristan still on-board.

Perhaps the sub and DIN-02 would reunite on the ocean floor...

Meanwhile, back with the girls, ...Valorie would swing by and pull Titania onto Dragonite behind, encouraging the larger woman to hold on by guiding her hand to her waist. The water resistance would make it easy to get thrown off during a sharp movement. As she listened to what the others had to say however, she noticed something... alarming. Titania would feel her tense.

Their ride home was sinking.

Their mission had just turned into a suicide mission.

Or at least, that would be the case for any normal trainer. They were stuck at the bottom of the ocean. Not just 'the' ocean but a part of the ocean known for making things far larger than them disappear. No one knew where they were. They had no way of contacting the rest of the world. Even the world's best psychic would have trouble tracking them down at this point. Valorie had to hope that the group of trainers about her were extraordinary enough to overcome these odds.

They didn't really have a choice at this point.

"...O-Our time limit just became a lot shorter. We'll be a lot safer on the surface if we deal with the threat underneath us first." Valorie stammered out, giving her dragonite a little pat on the neck. She'd faced many a crazy ordeal, but she could tell right away that this was going to rank right up there with some of the worst of them. At least they had two backup tanks.

"Shirona! Kitty! Follow me! We'll go first!" she relented, knowing better than to contest this. Dragonite surged forward, making her way to the edge of the crag before shifting to dive straight downwards. As the girls descended the the light level dropped low enough to make sight impossible. Suddenly the glow in the dark patches on their suits were invaluable tools to let eachother know where they were, especially the children's suits. Luckily, it wasn't the only source of light they had at their disposal.

...Eventually, the group would settle on the floor of the crag. It was inconceivably dark, but Valorie was quick to activate one of the flashlights they had been given. The beam was very bright, so as to penetrate the unyielding darkness. Best not point it at anyone's eyes. As Valorie gently swept it around she revealed that laying around them was a ship graveyard, debris and rock scattered for as far as the eye could see.

As they observed their surroundings, both Valorie and 'Kitty' would notice something moving within the wreckage. Titania and Shirona, sadly, would not pick up on this.
