An Irish-American girl in the 1920's who, alongside her slew of brothers, works as a thug for her mobster family.
Brigit is a feisty, no-nonsense girl with a great enthusiasm for...well, whatever it is she's doing at any one moment. She is a clumsy but avid flirter. Brigit is about as rough-around-the-edges as you might expect from a girl that grew up in a tenement crammed with mother, father, six brothers and herself.
Elbow grease?
Brigit was born in Yonkers, the youngest child and only daughter, with older brothers Abram, Alec, Collin, Conall, Douglas, and Devin. Her family was hardly well off, and she grew up wearing hand-me-downs from her brothers, which probably did not help her femininity develop.
But Brigit's mother came from a well-off family...the infamous clan of mobsters off in the larger part of the city. And when the larger family found itself in need of a few extra fists, Brigit and her brothers (along with a few of their rough-and-tumble friends) found themselves with invitations to head over and help 'keep some order' on the streets.
Upon reaching their new home, Brigit became acquainted (and instantly infatuated) with an infamous, neutral gun dealer, Patrick 'Guns' O'Keefe. Brigit proceeded to come on to the man, who was 12 years her elder, stronger than a train might come on to a glass egg.
Eventually Pat gave in, and the two became a couple. Currently their relationship is kept mostly secret, to keep Pat's clients from other gangs from getting jealous, and to keep Brigit's family from gang-beating Patrick.
Seven years later, Brigit and Patrick have married and moved to Boston. She became the mother to four children; Shamus, Rosemary, Tam and Fiona (named after her allegedly deceased cousin).
