Her mother's metal body charms

She's quiet, partially because in silence is how she lived most of her life.
As a ranger, hunter, tracker, and woodswoman,
Caelesti is primarily used to keeping her words to herself.

As most who lived in the mideivil era, Caelesti is extremely supersticious.
She has never seen the ocean, but has heard many a tale of the beasts that ravage it's salty waters.
While she has also never encountered a monster or epic nightmarish beast, she fears the day it happens.
Often one will catch Caelesti participating in small, seemingly stupid rituals.
For example, she willspread the sap of a tree across her teeth as to consume the spirit of the tree.

Her metallic decorations are used to ward off evil, and were given to her by her father,
once a possession of her mother. She wears them whenever venturing out during or after dusk,
or when going somewhere new, or when travelling. If she were ever to travel into Ayia, these
pieces of metal would surely give her away, causing her to be executed and/or hunted.

She will rub dark, moist dirt on her face and limbs,
partially to discard her human scent when hunting, but mostly for good luck.

Caelesti has never, and most likely will never, set foot in a church or on holy land.

Caelesti also is wary of other people, having had never encountered any besides her father.
She has also never looked in a mirror, but does know that her hair is light.

She Spites God, believes him to not exist or to have forgotten the humans he left to die on earth.
This is not an opinion she vocalizes often, if ever.

Loves
Squirrel meat, stew, meditating, bird watching

Fears
Getting eaten by a sea monster, falling off of the edge of the earth, fire

She was told her mother died at childbirth, but really she was burned at the stake for being a witch.
This is why they lived in the woods, the father having had fled the wrath and shunning of the villagers.
What kind of father could possibly allow their darling daughter to grow up in an environment of hate?

Her father died when she was 12, leaving her to exist alone in the depths of the woods.
A year prior to his death, a cat had begun to hang around their living quarters (one room cabin thing).
It took to Caelesti, and Caelesti took to it.
She calls him Sireth,
a name he actually does respond to.

So begins...

WHISPERING WOODS
A cloaked figure shot an arrow into the wood. Upon hearing it make contact with a tree, which would later reveal itself to be an ancient sequoia, the figure fled. The arrow was finely crafted, the figure had made it itself. Silver tipped, the shaft was carved with tiny paw prints. Cat paw prints? The feathers were that of a sparrow, a raven, and a humming bird.

Pierced by this fine device was apiece of parchment. On it was a crude message, but one certainly readable. On the back of the message there appeared to be something else.

Maybe a map?

In the explosion of magic visited upon the nearby mountain a quietly waiting overbeing took the opportunity for cover. In a disused alley behind a small shed a whirlpool of distortion comes with an oncoming conduit from Genesis. A small webbed foot with smooth sandy skin sparked with dim red bolts among the grains. A red corona came from its mouth that followed above it eyes with a galaxy of fuzz made from red oscillating networks of bolts somewhere deep within its eyes. They look to and fro fuzzy flexible horns on his head wobbling slightly as hair moves in patterns against the winds to the tips. His four ears flap further open to hear the environment before emerging from the tunnel entirely. Spinal ridges pump in waves quite quickly as the nervous creature breathes quickly in and out the Aether the tail slowly turning translucent pumping a red glow in time. The trail it left sizzled ash from the stone though it have the telltale ash of fire.

It chirped a high-pitched children's voice as the well of distortion closed behind it, "Myrkul! All things are different! Fun!"

The voice continued in a warbled one-sided conversation as it was picked up in the mouth of a stray dog and shook, "Pretty patterns of concordance! WHEE! What is animal doing? Eating? I am not for eating! Spud is angry!"

The tail lashing at the stray dog's side left whip marks of destroyed flesh as it growled while trying to tear apart the small creature. In its mouth Spud's sandy pierced was pierced though did not bleed. Deep red bolts emerged from the pierced flesh to aggressively erode the dog's enamel as well as its mouth. The dog yelped and Spud turned with a fuzzy dark red tongue to lick the holes away the spine-gills pumping wildly oscillating the growl while Spud licked the holes away the fuzz growing from each hole.

Spud understood what an enemy was, Myrkul told it so that it could avoid notice, and it didn't like this animal. It was trying to eat Spud. Spud ate better than the animal. The dark red light in its mouth flared as Spud's four ears went stiffly back spine-gills flaring and pulsing wildly with its throaty hiss.

The starving stray dog's instincts told it to run from the small creature but hesitation was its downfall. Spud loosed a network of translucent tubes crawling through space from its small maw that made contact with the dog's shoulder rooting through flesh and out the side of its skull. The network stiffly held in space turned slack a net containing a twitching dog with roots from another hungry mind in its brain. Across the stone spud retracted the twitching body angular roots disappearing into the deep red glow until the dog reached its maw. Roots exploded throughout the dog's body as its skull and bones cracked to drag the dog inside Spud's maw. Thin ash came from the spine-gills that discarded discordant ectoplasm from the dog's maladies as it was consumed.

A subtle glitter undulated across the mountains, the call of Gaia. Barely noticeable to the naked eye, but nonetheless the Spirit of the Realm calling for the Champions to rise. Were there any in Skyfall Citadel who would heed the call?

The faint sound of stone scraping stone bounced off the walls of Skyfall Citadel. The mountains almost seemed to vibrate as slowly the head of the Colossi rose to the horizon off in the distance. Obsidian eyes caught the pink light of the clouds, surveying the mountains as still the Colossi upwards did rise. Soon he was visible from the citadel. Long arms extended to support the Colossi as for the first time in Ages he stood up. His hands were still firmly planted beneath the earth. The top of his head breached the pinked clouds still dumping rain here in the Skyfall Citadel, which sat on his brow above those dark eyes.

There he stood in the horizon. His brow passed through the clouds, though his obsidian eyes surveyed the Exalted Mountains. He glanced over far to the east, swept his gaze from there to Valley of Dorant, a strange place of recent history that was a popular destination for those who liked to go hiking and never again return. There, the Colossi frowned. A pulse of Gaia's magic grew stronger somewhere in the mountains as well. The floating mountains hovered a little higher again as Gaia's blessing was accepted elsewhere in the mountains. The head hovering over the horizon focused it's attention to that spot. The remaining foundation of a town on the back of his left shoulder was made visible as the Colossi turned, dust rushing through the mountains as Ni'Thorne moved.

The walls of the citadel protected the main city from these dusts, but those living on the outskirts rushed the gates in a panic. It wasn't much longer before the alarm was sound.

Meanwhile, in Norde Keep, the Oracle of Skyfall was to be put on trial. A false king had risen to the throne in the turmoil from years past, managing to slip through the ranks. He remained one of the most feared and hated individuals, his heart set on a lady he couldn't have. He did not believe the legends, felt Eras would never come back and Gaia was a fairy tale you told children so they didn't believe people like He could exist. As the corruption in Skyfall grew stronger, so did Eras, feeding off of their evil ways.

"A greater storm is coming!" Shouted an elf to the dwarven smith running for cover into the nearest tavern with her. Those who had not made it to the Norde Keep to witness the trial weren't about to leave while an alarm was being rung to keep them safe. What was happening, anyhow? You couldn't see the horizon from most points in Skyfall Citadel, but those who did would have fear struck deep into their hearts. Those who did would surely denounce the king.

There was a great explosion, a might boom across the Kingdom of Skyfall. The walls of the Citadel quivered. The People of Skyfall huddled in their residences - or remained trapped in the unfolding drama in Norde Keep.

Two quakes followed as to the south two great masses of stone collided and made home on the border of the Whispering Woods and the Exalted Mountains. A cloud of dust and debris rose through the mountains, slamming against the outer walls much like the last cloud of dust did. For the most part it seemed everyone had made it in.

The rains had stopped as well, and the clouds slowly began to clear.
They were a little pink around the edges. The pink seemed to be fading.

The Bells of Skyfall rang on, heeding warning to all to stay indoors. In the bell tower farthest south, the bellringer stared transfixed as Ni'Thorne leaned to clutch the peak of a mountain, crumbling it beneath his open palm. His mouth hung open when he saw the light nebula emerging from behind the clouds. Forgetting his duty, he watched.

Crulamin stared in awe at the titan. A tome slipped from his hand, tumbling onto the cobblestone pathway, but it was mostly forgotten. The young half-elf trembled at the sight of the being that had caused such destruction. He prayed to whatever gods would heed him, and then he rushed into the keep to seek shelter.
