Description

Cashmere is just shy of six feet tall with a full athletic figure. She works out regularly and takes care of her appearance. Her hair is naturally red though with her latest nano-infusion she opted to change it to a dark green and cut it back to just blow shoulder length. She has clear amber eyes that always have a calculating look to them. She has vaguely asian features, the shape of her nose, slant of her eyes, and a slight roundness to her face. Her age is impossible to tell. Though genetic treatments and nanotech in her blood she has remained young looking despite being a lot older than she looks.

The rest of her body is almost always covered in a full body combat ready environmental suit. The suit is primarily dark grays and matte black though with highlights and an emblem in dark green that match her hair. When activated the suit's highlights turn on and pulse with a brilliant green, modeled after animals to indicate she is quite dangerous.

A modified pistol, modeled after an 'antique' design she likes conceals advanced circuitry and many capabilities.

Personality

Cashmere's attitude has often been labeled as hostile, arrogant, paranoid, self centered and cold. Very few have gotten past those layers to find the woman underneath. She uses her environmental suit as a projection of her emotions. Her primary goal is keeping herself safe, but she can't just hide in a hole all her life. She has a hunger, a need, to prove herself and her ability as an individual. She hates working with other people, not trusting them to not back stab her when it is convenient for them.

Cashmere is incredibly brilliant when it comes to technology development and modification. Her own ship, the Hyou, an antique Predator Class Assault Vehicle (PCAV) has been upgraded through and through by modified technologies from several different alien races. She strives to make it her own impregnable fortress and home and it is nearly there. However as good as she is with AI technology it cannot replace true human interaction and she fines herself craving such recently.

Equipment

Cashmere's environmental suit is filled with various technologies of her own development and alien. A modified goa'uld energy shield and hand device, and full body armor, miniature deployable mines and grenades. Sensors and miniature surveillance drones keep her alerted through a Heads Up Display (HUD) located in an implant in her right eye. The suit also has some advanced experimental strength and agility enhancers that she isn't even supposed to have.

Her latest treatment of nanotechnology has altered her appearance slightly and allows for her to alter it more if she desires. Along with enhanced strength and senses independent of the suit her bones are laced with various metals to increase their durability. Her skull is covered with a fine mesh of circuitry that should block all but the most powerful or most skilled telepaths, and even then give her warning of being mentally breached. She can now expel some of the nanites through her breath, saliva or blood given simple commands. This is extremely dangerous technology, as a wrong command could have all the nanites in her body breaking down her cells from the inside out. However she is certain of her control, and will not use that technology save for the most dire of circumstances.

Her pistol has been modified to fire variable projectile rounds from typical Aschen magnetron trinnium rounds to modified sabot, cryonic freeze bullets to high explosive or tracker rounds. It also can fire energy as stun or high intensity lasers. The gun is DNA and biometric locked so only she can fire it without getting a massive jolt.

There are few things she treasures as much as her ship and one of those is her bike, Kuro. Designed from scratch and modeled after a leaping panther. Glossy black finnish that can shift to matte black with a command. The Kuro is made from light ship armor and is highly weaponized. The 'paws' contain blades that can be deployed to slash in passing. There are also energy weapons mounted in the mouth and a forward mounted energy shield that can envelop the entire bike.

NEW as of 12-05-10
Cashmere has voluntarily severed her left arm from the elbow down after receiving payment for a job in certain psychoactive metals. It combines all of her skill and many technologies: sensors, weapons, and tools. A laser saw in her index finger and a short range teleporter in the wrist are just examples of its capabilities. It is experimental and she may chose to reattach her flesh arm, which she has kept in cryo, should she dislike it.

History

Cashmere was raised on a war torn Aschen colony, the Cosmora Archipelago, on the edge of 'civilized' space. Never knowing who her parents were she was raised by a rough man who recognized her skill with technology and forced her to work, beating her and worse if she did not come up with newer and better technologies at an entirely unreasonable pace. She killed him when she was 16 with his own battle rifle. Her life got even harder for a time because as rough as the man had been he had been protecting her from worse things.

She eventually smuggled herself aboard a transport ship and got off planet. When she was found she was put to work and excelled even more than she had on the planet. She was adopted by the crew as a kind of mascot and good luck charm as her quick fixes and improvements saved them numerous times. She lived there for nearly two years, allowing herself to open up and become part of the crew, to trust them. Until they were betrayed to pirates. The pirates somehow got the access codes and boarded the ship. Cashmere hid while the crew that she had gotten close to was murdered. All the while the pirates were searching for the 'Tech Girl'.

She was eventually found and brought to the pirates. Another crew member, one of those she trusted had betrayed them all and was demanding payment from one of the pirates when Cashmere was brought out. She watched as the woman was shot in front of her.

Once again she was pressed into labor by the pirate captain. He forced her to fix things on their ship during the day and taken advantage of by the captain at night. This went on for two months while she plotted and planned using her superior tech knowledge to rig the ship. She stole the captains PCAV and when she was far enough away detonated bombs all over the pirate ship. She watched as it detonated in space, vowing to herself to never let another take advantage of her or trust anyone else.

The PCAV became her own ship, renamed Hyou, and she modified it over time with more and more technology until it was covered in ripping edge technology inside and out. A lavish home of her own in which she can travel anywhere she wishes though air, space or even fluid.

She has sold her skill with technology to most major civilizations over time for various technologies or money.

She has been characterized as Techno Mage, New Type, and Savant, though she calls herself none of those things. Rumors of her existence have persisted for nearly two hundred years now, though no hard evidence backing up those rumors can be found. In truth she is roughly a hundred years of age. Though she had no record of her actual birth date.

She has recently learned more of her past. Her sister, Helena Cain, Admiral of the Aschen Fleet

To those who may be following her actions she has visited the planet a number of times. Mainly for rest and the occasional drink at Gambits Bar. However she never takes a room there, instead sleeping on her own ship and is usually gone within a day, never more than two.

So begins...

Cashmere 's suit's highlights start glowing as it gets battle ready. The acid splatters on the shield drips harmlessly off her. "I'm holding this entire city hostage. You do not dictate to me. This does not make me proud. I am not a terrorist. Your own government has hired me before, a dozen times, more. I'm freelance. You want me to work for you then pay up, no threats. I'll even open a frequency for Wolfe if he can't get his ass out of his office."

"Damn you and your Duty," she steps forward brandishing the rifle, almost ready to fire before she catches herself, removing her finger from the trigger briefly until she has more control. "Where was your duty at the Archipelago? Where was your honor and safety?" She glares at the agents. "You've read my Bio. You see where I've come from. I've never raised my hand against your confederacy, though lords know I should."

"A shame," she sneers at the dismissal of her home planet's war torn strife, poverty, and rampant brutality. As much as she wants to fire off, to plast the agent and condemn herself, end the running and the fighting she lowers her gun and patches herself though her bike and the communications system within. Hitching a piggyback on the LDA's own frequencies she sends a signal to Wolfe. Subvocalizing so none can hear her speaking. "What do you want Wolfe?"

"Aell I've been here for a few weeks. Just sitting and drinking Ambrosia. I'm taking a break. But you know my rules. I work on commission only. You know my rates too. You've hired me enough times." She sits back at the bar. She appears to just be moving her lips a little as the implants along her throat pick up the movements and translate them for the broadcast. She keeps her rifle in her hand but reaches out for the Ambrosia, sipping it and keeping a wary eye on the agents.

Cashmere laughs out loud before going back to subvocal conversation. "You're afraid." She pauses to sip her Ambrosia and let the words sink in. "You're afraid of letting me work for someone who might just pay me enough to get the tech to do some serious damage to you." She shakes her head. "What if I already have? Replicator tech. Banned Replicator tech." She hadn't, but she had the technology, some of it incorporated into her own ship.

"Who is the terrorist now?" She speaks aloud for Agent Marlene to hear. "You would threaten the population of my home planet to gain my allegiance." She paused to sip her ambrosia. "I cary the scars of my time on that planet, not out of pride but as a reminder of how low people will sink. Go ahead. Burn it to silicate. Show me you can sink lower. I will not bow to you." She glowers at her drink. It tastes bitter now. "It all falls down."

Cashmere the goa'uld Hand Device incorporated into the left hand of her suit pulses and turns the glass she had been holding in her hand into powder in an instant. "You want to find out about a degenerate? Look in the mirror." She closes her eyes and takes a deep breath, perfectly calm, analitical mind working overtime she comes to a conclusion. She doesn't like it but it is the horrible right thing to do. "Glass the planet. I've got all I want or need out of it. Two hundred kilos of Naquadria. I've only got twenty point five with me. I'll let you worry about that other hundred seventy nine point five." She sits and waits for his reply, not really seeing anything around her as she scans her data. "I could be lying, but you know my record better than anyone. Willing to risk it?"

Cashmere gets up and walks over to Marlene. She stands there for a moment looking at her. "Your boss is one hell of a go'tak." She pauses for a further moment before sitting next to her, slinging her rifle over her shoulder. "What do I get if I join your Section One?" It was true she was tired of running, she wasn't willing to give up her freedoms yet. But it was tempting. It had its benefits and there were always ways around restrictions, especially within government systems.

"He's going to glass my planet." He waves for the bartender. "Everclear, strongest there is." She wants to get glassed a bit herself. "I say good riddance to the dump." The words leave a bitter taste in her mouth. Despite the horrible memories associates it was still her home world. "I can't join Section One. Not if they are going to act like this." She shakes her head. "You say I am Ashen. I say I am Cashmere Now and forever. I have no planet, no people. No family." The voice modulation disguises her tone but the look on her face is clearly a forced neutrality, something lurks beneath.

Cashmere froze at the words. She didn't realize she was holding her breath until her lungs ached for fresh air. "You're lying." Even through the modulation the words sounded horse. "My home is my ship. I have no people. I have no family." But her mind was racing. She hadn't found any records to indicate she had come from off world. But she had been searching database on a planet torn by war. How many of the original places had been bombed. The only way would be through the hard copies, which she never found.

Cashmere looks at the aliens and her natural instincts from two centuries of survival on the edge of civilized space kick in, pushing the idea of actual family away for now. She rises and spins with her rifle sliding into her hand. Curses in several languages. "Xenomorphs. An alien plague is what they are. They travel as embryo inside a host then devour and consume all they can." She whirls on the one speaking. "I've encountered them twice before. Got scars enough to prove it. But they aren't supposed to be intelligent... not like this." Her eyes swivel back and forth between all the aliens, as if trying to keep them all in view at the same time though her gun remains steady on the speaker.

Cashmere keeps her eye on the xenomorphs. "This feels wrong. There has never been an indication in my entire database of anything even remotely like this. They eat more advanced races and force their own evolution, but this is beyond me. I'm Tech, not Bio." She frowns, her finger resting on the guard of her trigger, the gun readied with some of the most lethal and rapid rounds she's got. She wasn't sure how long her shield would stand up to an assault from these creatures. They had a really bad habit of penetrating her shields.

Cashmere sits in her seat heavily, the gun slipping from her fingers hanging by the strap around her shoulder she looks at the Agent with piercing eyes. She knew who Helena Cain was. Everyone of the Aschen did. She didn't need her Database to remember her. "The Razor, the Queen bitch herself, is my sister?" She laughs. She rolls her head back and laughs deeply, not believing until her computer spits out a genetic comparison and her laughter dies in her throat. "Frak me..." She murmurs softly.

"I was never a Cain. I've been just Cashmere." She is somber immediately. "She still thinks I'm dead, huh? Maybe it's better that way." She gets her glass of Everclear, more than 190 proof alcohol. She barely waits for her sensors to report back to her that there are no additional toxins before downing half the glass in one go. "How did you connect the dots there?"

"Just shut up a minute." She growls and slouches a little, watching the alcohol in front of her, the subtle shift of the dense liquids within the glass. She thinks for a few long moments until she comes to a conclusion. A white card slips from her wrist and as she holds it between her fingers letters appear across it then fade. A miniature one use data card. She then pulls the card up and holds it out to Marlene. "When she finds out give this to her." The card will activate with familial DNA to reveal the message. 'Hey sis. Call when you're ready.' And the cyphered frequency she uses.

The nanites in her body trying to deal with the alcohol toxicity entering her system, but it is a losing battle.

Cashmere watches the xenomorphs, despite growing more drunk she listens to them. She was suspicious. They were far away from the rim worlds. What were the aliens doing here? They were obviously still highly dangerous but they were not aggressive without reason. This went against both her data and personal experience.

Cashmere Stiffens at the alien's words and altogether too creepy smile. "I've only met with Xenomorphs twice. Barely escaped with my life each time. I dropped Kinetic Harpoons from orbit each time to obliterate the hives. You'll pardon me if I'm not exactly thrilled you survived."

Cashmere scowled but nodded. "A fair assessment. Though there are many who would say that your species are the predators. Physically you are highly superior. I've even based some drones off of your advanced physiology. Humanoids could win because they were smarter and had better tools... Now? I'm not so sure. And that frightens me more than anything else." She frowns at the Aliens and watches them carefully. Something about them worried her to the core. She had her equipment scan them for any technology though all her information suggested that no xenomorph had ever used any.

"You are.... you aren't like anything I have seen before." She takes out a data pad, abandoning her drink and holding out a hand for a closer scan of the technologies involved. "Some of this tech is familiar, I've scavenged some of this stuff before. But I've never seen it active before." She doesn't even notice the Admiral coming in. As it usually is when she grows engrossed in her work. "How long have you existed with these implants?"
