Age: 22
Personality: Bubbly and cheerful, Cassie is almost always light-hearted and in good humour. She has a biting wit that she tends to employ largely in jest, and tends to have to say "I'm just kidding!" a lot. Protective and kind, despite her relative lack of combat-relative abilities Cassie does her best to help her friends and teammates out in a scuffle.
"My articles sell because I talk about the issues people care about. I don't just let things lie to appease politicians or armies. If someone in the public eye is doing something immoral, I am going to crucify them, and consequences be damned."
Cassie has had a pretty easy life, on the scale of things. Her parents were upper-middle class, and she had a leg up on the system from the start. Living in the well-to-do city of Solinus, she went to a private school and achieved straight As in her studies. Her interests have always lain primarily in investigating and exposing corruption, lies and crime in powerful figures. She's worked as a private investigator, but her primary source of income has been as a journalist - both freelance and full-time, practising investigative journalism and writing sensationalised articles to stir up activism and interest in the issues she finds important. Though she is still something of a privileged young woman, she's spent enough time away from home and involving herself in things she shouldn't be to have acquired a more down to earth side, more than willing to get her hands dirty.
Abilities:
Silver-tongue charm - Cassie has spent some time mastering a subtle form of magic, one often associated with succubi, or other demonic entities. When she speaks, other people have a natural tendency towards agreeing with her without thinking, and they will find her arguments more persuasive than they otherwise would have. This can't be exclusively relied on, as if there are obvious holes in her story, anyone who takes a few minutes to go over it in their heads enough times will break the spell through simple logic, but if the story seems superficially watertight, people are a lot less inclined to question it.
