As Jakob pressed the triggers, Catira's body would convulse, lurching upward as she took a breath, thus giving new life to a new woman. The slender figure flung open her eyes, then turned to her side and heaved.
That same gel that was smeared all over her body came out of her lungs and stomach, spilling onto the floor in a translucent mess. Enda didn't bother to pull her hair back, because it was in it already.

Enda looked to Jakob. "Thank you. It is appreciated."

Enda nodded, then tried her best to comfort Catira. She didn't know the woman...at least, she didn't think she did, but she was from her world. That much she knew.
She righted Catira and looked her over.
"Are you alright?" Enda asked.

Catira did nothing but stare at her with large, blue-green eyes.

Catira Edrene seemed tired, beat down. She looked around as she heard a song being played, and turned her head to gaze at Sparrow, who was playing the piano. Dripping with the gel from being eaten by the Slugger, Catira gazed on, almost comatose.

"...miss?"
Catira looked back at Enda, who looked at her curiously.
"Are you...okay in the head...?"

Catira Edrene would shake her head, and, eventually, would fall asleep, weary from the days events. Such a pity, Enda thought, that she should pass out after just coming back to life so soon. She sighed, took the woman up by the shoulder, and brought her outside and towards the hospital.

Catira Edrene tumbled down the stairs of Gambits hotel. She clasped her bandaged chest with her left hand and gasped. What in the world had been wrong with her? Sure, she had been trapped for years, but why was her stamina so low? She could barely go down three flights of stairs without choking on her own tongue!
Catira sighed, then leaned her back onto the wall. She took in a deep breath, held it for a second, then let it out slowly. She needed to calm her rapidly beating heart. The goop in her veins would be cleared out too quickly if she didn't try, and she would possibly sweep into another coma.

After a second of leaning onto the wall and breathing slowly, she felt her heart calm, felt strength return to her limps. She ran her fingers through her long hair and sat herself on a nearby stool. She didn't seem to care much for her apparel. All she had was bandages around her torso and a pair of breeches to cover her legs. Her long, black hair loped over her shoulders and down her back, stopping right before her backside.

When JoJo leaped onto the counter, she jumped and nearly fell off her seat. "What in the sake of the-!" She hissed, hopping on one leg to get her balance.

Catira Edrene felt her heart give a quick round of beats before it settled back down. When JoJo balanced her using his leg, she clasped her heart with her hand again. This was going to get annoying. When was that goop going to leave her system, anyway? It had already been a few days!
She shook her head and looked at the man, her eyes narrowing as they ran over his form briefly. When he poked her, she jumped again. She was very squirmy.
"I...got in a...brawl." She said slowly. Her cheeks flushed, then soon became red. She tried to shrug it off.
She was in a new place now. That blonde haired knight said she should try to get along with everyone...

When the Jamaican man held out his hand, Catira decided it couldn't hurt. She took his hand, but did not shake it.
She came from a very different time. A kiss on the hand was expected.

Catira Edrene covered the wound with a cupped hand after the man prodded it. She pursed her lips at the action. So that knight was right, after all. She really would have to try hard to get along, wouldn't she?
"It wasn't particularly..."
Did this fight happen before she was trapped in the Slugger? Seven years ago, never to age until she got out, or did it happen after? It was all a haze. All she remembered was waking up in this very bar to the sound of a piano playing.

"I couldn't run at the time..." She said at last. She took a seat and pursed her lips. "Armor? Well, I dunno. I lost mine. Yes, that's right."
Along with her knives and shortswords.

Catira Edrene took note of this information. She would be needing armor and weapons soon, and right after she got her health back. Just a few more days, right? Yea. Just a few more days. "Bane..." Came the name, sliding off her lips in a soft whisper. Her eyes glazed over for half a second, then cleared themselves as Mr. Emmerson planted his hand onto her back. She gasped, then squealed nervously.
"Dance...?"
She supposed this wasn't any different than back in the courtyard with Klee. Why not, then?
Her heart started to beat rapidly, and she fought to control it yet again. She felt her limbs ache. Oh, damn the spirits! She wished she condemn all Sluggers to the deepest pits of the fiery hole called hell!
But, alas, she did not have that power, so what she had to do instead was cope.
Cope and dance, that is.
"Of...of course." She stuttered. He was so close. It was nerve-wracking. And she was only wearing bandages over her torso.
Oh, so now it mattered.

Catira Edrene continued to feel her heart pumping, though this time, at a more steady pace. It no longer ached, and actually started to feel pretty good to be pumping. As Kendra passed by, Catira inclined her head, just a little, to watch the woman pass by. Indeed, it seemed as if the very light was being absorbed by her clothing. She averted her eyes as the man started to dance. She had to move her feet quite quickly to keep up, but the whole thing wasn't so unfamiliar.
Eventually, she found herself to be slightly entranced. She couldn't see his eyes, so instead tried to focus on those shades. Those large, black surfaces...

When he slipped his hand over her spine she uttered a very sharp gulp. Her lips pursed, and took in a sharp breath. Oh, now the spell was slightly broken. She blinked her eyes and felt her heart quick, yet again, as it always did!
Oh, oh, but it hurt no longer, and she felt as if the blood in her veins were suddenly free.
"Wh-what...?" She mumbled, quickly trying to pull away. She felt her head spin. When Slugger goop cleared, it sometimes left one a little groggy, because it replaced blood. Which she now needed more of. "Oh..."

"Ah, no. No, I just..." She held her head as it reeled again. No, no. She didn't want to sleep. She had slept for seven years, and then a week after that. She liked being awake.
"I'm not sleeping. I can hold up." She said, slowly lifting her head. She could sleep in the night. It would be fine. It was midday.
It was also almost winter.

She took in a deep breath and looked up, spotting Kendra, who was talking to JoJo, though he didn't respond.
"I suspect this type of stuff does happen..." She mumbled again. She watched the woman confidently strut over to them.
Hmm. Reminded her of the lead commander in Madeva. The Karyusian Empress, as well. Every step precise, every movement assured, even pompous, in ways.
"Catira. My name is Catira Edrene, miss. Nice to meet you." She said to the woman. She demanded respect, so she gave her the title miss. Which wasn't the most respectful, but it's all she thought of.

Catira Edrene looked from Kendra to JoJo. My, what company she attracted. A laid-back caster and a stern fighter. How did a demure and confused warrior like herself do that?
"It wasn't exactly my fault I came..." She blabbed. She had nothing she needed to hide. Nothing she wanted to hide. In such a weak state, she wasn't worried about what she might tell them.
"What about yourself? Business?"
She tubbed her temple and silently groaned. She needed meat, or something. Something high in iron. Maybe she would get it when Sir Klee got here...if she saw him. That blonde knight guy.

"I'm not sick! I'm just..." Another dizzy spell. "I just lost a bit of blood."

Catira Edrene really hadn't made her way out of the hotel since she made it to Wing City, so when Kendra spoke of the clinic and the military base down the street, she really had no clue. Though, when she told her to hold out her hand, Catira hesitated, but did so. As the pills fell into her palm, she inspected them curiously. Pills? She hadn't taken things like this before. Of course, in Madeva, medicine was taken in a liquid form.
She did not complain or ask questions, however. She guessed she had to swallow them. That's what you did with most medicine, right? Yea. There was no other way.
"To relax...yea, I think I understand."

She looked back to JoJo and squinted her eyes. It seemed Gambits was the place to go if you wanted to relax, but ever since she came here, she found herself to be nervous and stressed and talking to strangers. Something she would never have done before. When he spoke of said 'male tendencies' she barely showed any reaction. It wasn't a surprise at all.

"Hmm. Not surprising she'd get into their business..." Catira observed, though she made sure she said this silently. She closed her hands around the vitamins, then opened it again. She took one out to inspect it.
Surely, this wasn't going to hurt...
She plopped it into her mouth and swallowed. Ah, not hard. That wasn't so hard at all. She didn't expect to feel better right away, but, because of the placebo effect, her head did clear up a bit. She put the rest in a pocket in her breeches.
She remembered these were Endo's breeches. They fit her well for male pants...

"Medicine that isn't a needle? Ah, alright..." She said, pursing her lips a bit. She watched a fight start up and flinched. What violence...
"The moon...?" She asked, but took his hand. Even with the poison out of her system, her mentality was nearly equal to a child's. She didn't even think twice as she followed him.

It had been such a long time since she'd been outside, been able to breathe fresh air. Being in a Slugger and a Slugger coma for seven years did not do well for her head.
And now, when she walked out of the elevator (that made her very nervous and nauseous) she looked up into the sky with wide eyes, slowly sucking the wet air into her lungs in a slow gasp.
"Oh, my." She said in awe. She didn't even mind the cold rain splattering on her skin, nor did she flinch when she was patted on the back, like she usually would. When JoJo pulled out the umbrella, she ducked in surprise, but smiled when she saw it's purpose.

"It's glorious. Never have I seen such a fantastic sight. Not in many, many years."

"I would understand. Fighting never really solved much. Politics always caused it, too. Ruler to ruler...they never worked well." She spoke, though it was about her own world; the only one she really knew. She wondered how long she would stay here and get used to things...

Her thoughts vanished when JoJo put his arm around her. She gave him a quizzical look, furrowing her brow and parting her lips to make a small gape. This, of course, was met by a kiss from the man, which Catira retaliated with by stepping back and hopefully out of his hold. In another moment of dizziness, one of her feet became caught behind the other, and she began to fall.

Oh, now that was too close! If she got nervous by just dancing, that kiss certainly sent her heart on a rocket to that moon! She cupped her hand around her lips, even as she fell, and let out a yelp of surprise.

Catira Edrene bit her bottom lip a bit harder than she meant when she was caught, but didn't draw blood. She would have gasped again, but she did that so much she decided she shouldn't do it so much. When he pulled her up, she lost sight of his eyes. She hadn't really focused on them much, but they really were a beautiful shade of green.

She shook her head slightly to get the image out of her head. She'd just met the man, really!
"Yea...a lot better..." She said, wrapping her arms around herself. Her first time really being awake in a long time, and so much happens! It was almost too much.

Catira Edrene looked down at her apparel, at the breeches and the bandages that had come a little loose. Of course they would! She was moving around too much!
She folded her arms over her chest and looked away, face red again. She pursed her lips.
Ah, nervous-making.

"I'm not even trying! This is what Sir Klee gave me!" She protested. "I don't have any of my own clothes!"
She paused to think about that. It sounded a little suggestive.
"...because they got torn up..."
That sounded worse.
"...when I got into a fight."

She shook her head and huffed, flinging droplets of water from her hair. "I'm just...everything is new..."

Soon after, the elevator opened, and a tall, somewhat stocky figure was int he doorway.
"Catira? S'that you? Been looking all over the place to find you!"
It was Enda, the woman disguised as a man for various (but very good) reasons.

Catira looked at JoJo. Despite what had happened, she gave him a small smile. "I have to go." She said, turning to leave. She hesitated and looked back.
"Hey, thanks."
She then ran over to Klee and left.

Catira Edrene came into the dark woods, walking briskly. The air was cold, and the leaves had changed colors. Autumn had long come, and Catira didn't like it at all. She wasn't used to such cold weather, and, because she took for granted the hot, humid air to come when she'd gone on a walk (and gotten herself terribly lost in the process) she'd worn her usual Pakechan garb; a short-sleeved shirt that cut right under her bosom, and a pair of breeches that stopped right under her knees. It wasn't warm at all.
Even the wrapped veil around her face wasn't going to help. It was meant for blocking out the sun, not keeping in the heat.
Needless to say, Catira was miserable. "Curse this cold, and curse Wing City for having such dreadful weather!" She spat, rubbing her arms to try and warm them. Her teeth started to chatter, and she shivered quite avidly as she trudged through dead leaves and over large tree roots.
"And curse my ditziness!" She yelled at last.

Catira Edrene was about to drop to her knees after a while. This cold was really getting to her, and she yawned in fatigue. She felt her limbs ache, and the feeling in her toes was about to be gone. She cursed this, as well. She'd heard Klee tell her about frostbite and hypothermia. Remembering the horrible deaths that were caused by these made Catira shiver in fright and not cold, this time. She gritted her teeth and growled under her breath, rubbing her arms more vigorously, now.
"I'm not going to let mother nature get the best of me!" She spat, and not for the last time. Though, she had no idea where she was going, or which direction Gambits was.
She hoped to run into someone soon.

And, well, she would, but definitely not someone she expected.

Catira Edrene definitely could not go on anymore. She was absolutely cold, and her limbs felt as though frost had already taken them. She sat down and curled into a fetal position, blowing hot air onto her hands and knees. She needed to do something - exercise, extraneous movement. Something to keep her warm.
She blinked, drew her hands back to her side, and pulled out her long daggers. She flipped them in her hand so the blades pointed forward, at an imaginary enemy in front of her. The veil did not blemish her line of sight. It was made for combat.
She began to slash at the air, cutting away at the opponent. Upward slash, stab, stab, side slash, wrist cut, head block, gut slash.
This was working...she could already feel her limbs loosen, though she was still terribly cold. It didn't matter...she wasn't going to die as long as she could do something to keep herself moving.

Catira Edrene bounded forward, now imagining several enemies coming at her at the same time. She drew her left arm sideways, slashing at the belly of one man, between his armor, then turned around and stabbed another man in the shoulder. She lifted her leg, and spun again...
Though, this time, she spotted a real threat, instead of her invisible, imaginary ones. The quick gleam of white hair, just above the leaves, and the point of an arrow.
Aimed toward her, of course.
As the arrow was rocketed forward, she dropped to the ground, on her belly, her face eating dead leaves. She made a loud 'hmph!' as she landed and felt a root hit her torso, knocking the air from her lungs. She struggled to breath for sparse moments before another arrow landed beside her head.
Was she being hunted by an assassin?

Catira Edrene got up as fast as she could, dodging arrows as they came at her. She used her knives and was able to block one, maybe two arrows, but failed at the third. The projectile lodged itself in the skin at the side of her thigh, and pinned her to the tree at her back. She cried out in pain, hand flying to the wound. Blood poured from it, and those thoughts of hypothermia flooded her mind.
No, no!
She grasped the shaft of the arrow and broke it in half, lurching forward and ducking as the assassin's sword came at her. The wound burned with cold and stung as she walked on it, but she hadn't a choice if she wished to live. She took her left knife hand and swung it at the lad's knee, though he leaped back in time and dodged. He attempted to swing his sword down on her head while she was on her own knees, and she dodged that by rolling to the side and hopping onto her feet. She did all this through the pain and misery, and arched one of her hands back to stab at the figure's stomach.

Catira's eyes were hard as she stared into the assassin's red eyes. Her hands shook from the cold, and faltered, just a bit. This gave the lad an opening. He took hold of her hand and squeezed at the pressure point in her wrist. She groaned in pain and opened her hand, the knife falling to the ground. She swing her remaining blade at his head, but before it could reach him, he drew in close and took hold on that wrist, too. He disarmed her easily, and the whole battle turned from blades to fists.

Sauntering into Gambits came a rather dashing young lady, though her complexion was slightly pale. Her black hair and her backside swayed from side to side as she walked, though she didn't seem to notice herself. She seemed a little lost, in all honesty, her eyes large as she looked about the fantistical bar. She rubbed her arms and blew hot air onto her hands. It was no wonder she was cold in the middle of Autumn...all she wore was bandages around her torso and a pair of light breeches. She looked from Bug, the very clad-in-black, messes up, and high young lady who walked toward the speaking wolf.
Her eyes then followed the rather rude and drunk Jules. She tried to move to the side and avoid his sight. He made her uncomfortable.

Catira Edrene felt shivers run up her spine as the necromancer spotted her, though she didn't know that was the reason, itself. She got premonitions, and the like, but they were never very strong. They never made much of a difference. Not at all.
She rubbed her arms again, her teeth chattering the slightest bit. She spotted the fireplace to the side, and, as always in Fall and Winter, a fire was brewing strong and hot.
It wan't hard to guess that she scuttled over there as quickly as she could, shivering again as she passed Jules, only taking a glance at the high girl and the wolf, as she took a seat at the far left. She watched the strange girl lay on her stomach, and was suddenly worried about the woman being near the fire.
However, she sat in the chair, still, shivering, and wary.
